Dorothy Shaver (Jul 29, 1893 – Jun 29, 1959) was a well known leader of the fashion industry.
Shaver graduated from high school in 1910 at the age of 17. She then earned a teaching certificate from the University of Arkansas. Shaver returned to Mena and began teaching seventh grade. Her teaching career ended abruptly in May 1914, when the local board refused to renew the contracts of Shaver and three other single female teachers because they had attended an unchaperoned dance. (?!?)
....
Shaver served as president of Lord & Taylor until her death in 1959. By the time of her death, sales at Lord & Taylor reached $100 million a year. via Wikipedia

Look for broad-spectrum SPF products that shield your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent premature aging.
Personal Care Products for Complete Well-Being

“Bout time you answered the damn phone..”
You wrinkle your nose at the hint of attitude in Toji’s deep voice, finding it a little cute since you knew that just his personality.
With your phone tucked between your ear and shoulder, you continued working down the mountain of laundry in the basket on your living room floor.
“Uhm, rude?” you snort, tossing a freshly folded towel to join its appropriate pile before picking up another.
“What ever happened to ‘hello’ or ‘hey big booty’ ?”
“I reserve those types of greetings for girlfriends that pick up the first time I call.”
At that you roll your eyes, snatching up another towel.
“Girlfriends? So theres others?” you begin folding it. The faint sound of echoe’d music and a muffled voice requesting assistance in the frangrance department let you know Toji was out and about, more than likely at some convenience store.
The big nasty was probably restocking on condoms and that special brand of lube he used on you a while back. The one that resulted in you needing to change your bed sheets.
Twice.
“See, I could play your game and say there are others just to fuck with you....’xcuse me...” he pauses to say to an older woman he squeezed past in the aisle.
“...but you cant take a damn joke and I plan on getting some tonight.”
You pert your lips at the statement but dont argue. Even in the several months you and Toji became exclusive, it was true that his sense of humor surpassed yours when it came to him and other women. You werent nearly as possessive or jealous as he was (usually), but he knew better than to test it.
“Smart. Im glad you value your life. Talk to me nice.” you respond in the most brattish way, making your boyfriend chuckle dryly on the other end of the phone.
“Shut up. Anyway, what kind of soap do you use again? I vaguely remember what it looks like but theres 5 bottles that match what I see in my brain.”
“Soap? Like to wash my body?” you furrow your brow distractedly, continuing to fold clothes.
“Naw to wash your dog.” he tosses back sarcasticaly. If there was a camera crew in your house, you’d be glancing at them with a deadpanned look of annoyance.
You didnt have a dog.
“Would it be so hard just to answer a question? I swear I dont like you sometimes.” you mutter, flapping out the pair of pants you were about to fold and Toji’s smirk is as audidle as his snickering.
“But you love me all the time. Now stay focused. Soap. The kind you wash your ass with.”
You sigh in exasperation at the simple question. And it was for sure simple ,but as many times as Toji had been in your shower, sometimes with you, he should be able to know which damn soap you used.
Old ass..
“Dr.Bronner’s babe. Unscented..”
“The light blue one. See, I knew I remembered it.”
Toji snatches the largest bottle of pure castile soap from the shelves. His massive hand grasps it effortlessly as he made his way to another aisle, squinting at a display of electric shavers curiously.
“Well alright. Thats all I wanted. Carry on cheating or whatever you doing..”
You let out a loud breath, tossing the pair of pants aside.
“Why are you like this? That’s not funny, you know?”
“What?” Toji strolls leisurely down the shave aisle now, eyeing the array of products.
“You saying shit like that. Accusing me of cheating every time I don’t pick up or text back fast. Its irritating..” you huff, aggressively flapping out another pair of sweats that you immediately knew belonged to Toji.
“Is it?”
“Is it?” You mock him, balling up his oversized joggers scornfully and throwing them on the floor. God he was annoying. If he werent so fine, and tall, and big..
And fit.
And sexy.
And intimidating.
And..
What were we talking about?
A breathy chuckle vibrates against your ear, as well as the echoing *beep* of the cashiers growing louder, both yanking you off your tangent.
“Aww, mama. Don’t be like that. I only say it as a joke. I know you’d never cheat on me ‘cuz my dick’s too big.” Toji remarks all too casually, not even acknowledging the way an old man shoots him a disgustingly surprised look at his crudeness out loud as he walked past him.
You snort in amusement and shake your head.
“True. But don’t be so sure. Theres plenty of trees in the forest.” You remark cheekily, glad that you weren’t in front of him after saying that. Part of you wished you were though. Watching those pretty beady eyes of his shrink with his glare was equal parts scary and arousing. To your surprise, Toji finds your rebuttal funny enough to laugh.
“You must really want me to fold your ass like a futon, huh? Just wait, I’ll be by there later.”
Toji turns to get in line at a check out lane. A little girl standing with her mother behind him stares up at his back with wide eyes, probably never seeing a man of his size and stature. Ya boy was scraping at 6’3 barefoot, so in shoes he was surely around 6’4. Even you would find yourself gaping up at him when he stood in front of you.
“Yeah? What you gon do?
*beep*
Toji shuffles forward, the scarred corner of his mouth lifting into a smirk.
“Fold you like a futon. Duh. You want candy?” He quickly changes the subject distractedly, falling victim to the mini wall of chocolate bars and gum.
The threat makes your core flutter while his subtle way of always keeping you in mind had you biting down on your grin as you continued folding laundry.
“Nooo, Baby. I don’t want candy. Thank you though.” You giggle, rolling your eyes.
“Well dont ask for some of mine ‘cuz I aint sharing..” Toji grumbles, still picking up two candy bars.
“Mmhmm.”
Having folded the final article of clothing and setting it aside, you sink back into the couch cushions with a huff, lifting your hand to untuck your phone and hold it against your ear.
“So wait, thats why you were blowing me up? Over soap?”
“Basically. I wanted you to have your own for when you stay with me. I know you have sensitive skin and shit…” he responds before reciprocating the cashiers greeting as he set his items on the belt.
“Awwww DaddyBear, how considerate of you. I wanna kiss you now, instead of slapping your face”
“Youre too easy to impress woman. Its just soap. You leave shit at my apartment anyway so I figured you’d wanna have something to shower with too.”
“I know but it’s still sweet. Come over now so I kiss on you and touch your butt.”
Toji snorts at your antics, knowing damn well he wasn’t letting your hands go anywhere near his ass.
“Yeah yeah. I gotta swing by Shui’s to pick up some money then Im gonna head your way.”
“Ok. But wait, you still could have just texted me that. Why call and make a fuss?”
“Damn. Maybe I also just like hearing your whiny ass voice y’know?”
You sigh, your giddiness fading immediately.
“Just hurry up and come over, ass.”
“See? Can never take a joke.”
“Bye Toji.”
“See you later Big Booty..”

as a personal tip from a leg shaver (mmm for Textur) i find womens razors to be overpriced Pink paletteswaps of shitty men's razors. I usually go with the extra sensitive mens razors and they last me a lot longer + give me less irritation + cost less in the long run. I hopea this helps :3
Oh yeah I go with men's razors because I got a fuckin ton of them and they're just. Blades like any other. I just happen to have damn good deal on em

Hair Removal Methods.
I was heavily inspired by a post I found on Reddit when making this post. I haven’t seen too many posts about hair removal methods on Tumblr, and I have quite a few asks in my inbox about that, so it made sense for me to make a small guide with tips, methods, and recommendations. If you want more information, product names, my sugar wax recipe, or just recommendations, please don’t hesitate to send me an email or just comment below for me to respond.
Shaving.
Cost: $
Speed: Average
Smoothness: Average
Discomfort: Low
Tips/Methods:
* Always buy men’s razors. They usually come with  sharper blades that don’t clog as much as the blades on women’s razors.
* I only shave using hot water and when I’m in the shower. The hot water softens the hair and makes it easy to remove, and the flow of the water prevents my razor from clogging.
* The direction you shave is important. If you shave against the grain (the direction opposite the hair points), you can get a closer shave, but you risk ingrown hairs. Shave with the grain on sensitive areas and do multiple passes if needed.
* I personally use shaving cream from EOS and products from Topicals to lessen ingrown hairs and clear up dark marks. Shaving isn’t my preferred method or hair removal, but when I’m in a rush, it gets the job done.
Best for your whole body, especially large and flat areas like your arms and legs. It's cheap and effective but often time consuming. If you want to maintain a perfectly smooth body, you’ll have to shave or touch up at least twice a week.
Nair/Chemical Removal.
Cost: $
Speed: Medium
Smoothness: Smooth
Discomfort: Low
Tips/Methods:
* There are many brands but the basic idea is you apply the cream to your skin, wait 5-10 minutes while the hair “melts" off your body, then you wipe it off. You’ll definitely need to shower after using Nair to remove any excess cream and to avoid burning your skin. I would say this is mandatory unless your specific brand says otherwise.
* The process will probably smell pretty bad. You'll want to wipe the cream and hair off with something disposable to avoid ruining your regular towels. I personally use tissue, you can use anything easily accessible.
* PATCH TEST BEFORE USE. These creams and powders are made from very really strong chemicals and can absolutely mess you up if you aren't careful. Everyone's skin is different, so put a little on your arm first, see how it reacts, then use it on a larger area.
Best For: Armpits and pubic hair. I find these creams are best at getting hard to reach or uneven surfaces that your razor might struggle with. This is also a good option if you are in a hurry or don't have the option to try the options below.
Epilation.
Cost: $$
Speed: Slow
Smoothness: High
Discomfort: High
Tips/Methods:
* Epilators look kind of like foil shavers you'd use for your face, but the end has a roller with tiny clamps that essentially grab hairs and pull them out.
* Personally I think these hurt like a bitch, especially the first time you use them. You can definitely feel each individual hair get pulled out of your skin.
* The main benefit of an epilator (and waxing, discussed below) is that you're pulling the entire hair out, root and all. This means hair in that area will grow back significantly slower than shaving. It also means that if you're willing to commit to a routine, each future use with the epilator will be less painful.
* I highly recommend icing the area before and after to avoid swelling. That being said, the area needs to be completely dry for the device to work.
* Epilator performance has always been pretty hit and miss for me. They're good at getting coarse hair, but will struggle to get fine or short strands. Again, you will likely need to make a shaving pass to clean up anything left behind.
* Additionally, if your hair is too thick or the surface is too uneven, the epilator can get tangled and stop functioning leading to a super painful situation. As with any of these tips, definitely test on a small area and see how it performs for you so you can get a feel for the length/thickness your device can handle.
Best For: Flat smooth surfaces, primarily your arms, legs, and torso. Some people really love epilation, others don’t. I think epilation is an acquired taste and it’s not my favorite method.
Waxing.
Cost: $$ to $$$
Speed: Slow
Smoothness: High
Discomfort: High
Tips/Methods:
* When you need to get 100% smooth there is no substitute. I love the way my body feels after waxing or sugaring and it’s what works best for me.
* I'll do my best here as a general overview but please watch some video guides before attempting this. I'll cover the two most common options I have experience with: soft wax, sugaring, and hard wax.
* Soft Wax: Hot wax is applied to the skin, then bandage strips are applied over. Once the wax cools, the strips are pulled off, taking the hair with them. This method is probably what you've seen in movies. They're good for getting rid of finer hairs, but unlike hard wax, you risk taking off your skin if you do it wrong. If you're trying waxing at home (especially for the first time), avoid this option. Despite the name, hard wax is actually much safer and what I recommend
* Hard wax: Hot wax is applied to the skin. Once it hardens, you peel the wax off by itself, taking hair with it. Since hard wax only bonds to hair and not skin it's a much safer option for beginners and does just as good a job removing hair as soft wax. This is what I use when I don’t have time to make my sugaring solution and I've never looked back.
* Wax is warmed in a... wax warmer! It's a little pot with a heating element, kind of like a croc pot. Hard waxes come in pellets that you dump in, soft waxes usually come with their own container that pops into the unit. Look for a wax warmer that can adjust the temp, not just an on/off switch. Most but not all have this feature. Each wax brand is different so you'll need more/less heat to melt it correctly, especially if you're doing a longer session where the wax can begin to solidify in the pot.
* Popsicle sticks are a cheap, effective way to apply wax. You'll want something disposable as it can get quite messy.
* Waxing, like epilators, will slow down your hair growth. This means the more you do it in the same area the less hair will grow back, and the less painful each subsequent application will be.
* Your hair needs to be a certain length for the wax to catch, so check your brand and plan accordingly. My professional technician has mentioned 1/4th inch is a good guideline for when to start waxing.
* As with every method on this list, please test on a small part of your body first. The wax will be quite hot (like getting into a hot bath) but not so much that it burns your skin.
Best For: any area you want super smooth or silky.
Laser Hair Removal.
Cost: $$$$
Speed: Slow
Smoothness: Depends.
Discomfort: High
Tips/Methods:
* Getting started will take some time and effort. You have to set up a consultation beforehand before even scheduling a session where you'll talk to the professional, ask any questions, then work out your plan.
* Laser hair removal is a process over time, not a one and done. Considering each session can cost hundreds of dollars, we are talking a huge investment. It cost me $800 over 4 sessions just for a small area on my lower body. For larger areas, we could be talking thousands!
* On that note, the total cost is going to vary a ton. Not only will each area be priced differently, but most places require you to book multiple sessions in a row or packages of X sessions you can choose to use over a year.
* The pigment of your skin matters a lot. Generally speaking the darker your skin the harder/less effective the process will be. There are different types of lasers available that may make this irrelevant but you'll definitely want to do your homework.
Final Thoughts.
What matters most is time. If you have the time to wax or shave your whole body, go to a professional for laser hair removal or pro waxing, or epilate yourself, then you’ll have much better results than someone who rushes through everything. Learning, investing in quality products, and then actually investing time into the hair removal process will get you closer to where you want to be without wasting as much time or money as you would leaping in blind or with no effort.

I saw a few months ago someone posted a headcannon about Kid being able to hear metal. And I loved it.
So here is a little something inspired on that.
This was a gift I made to @swampstew but it’s just too funny to not share.
~*~
If there was something Captain Kid was good at, it was guessing who makes that noise.
There were days where he could be the first one up and locked himself in his workshop where he propped himself up in his work bench and just plowed in a few hours cutting, grinding or making things that he wanted or got commissioned to do so.
His hobby as of late was making as less noise as he possibly could and just feel/hear the metal in people’s bodies.
A tooth with a crown? sounds like a wet coin to him. Someone is trying to put on an earring? He heard it- loud and clear. Assembling and disassembling a gun? He thought the person was VERY slow at it.
One particular morning, he was just setting up to work on making drafts for a custom gun and that’s when he heard a faint buzz deep within his ship. More like he could hear something vibrating frenetically.
He didn’t anything in the ship that buzzed.
He ignored it and kept to his work.
But there it was an again.
The soft buzzing was now a little more erratic and he got curious.
What could be in the ship that made that noise?
He tucked it away and when he knew Killer was in the kitchen: he went there to demand breakfast from the blonde first-mate.
A few days later the buzzing was on full blast. He heard it cling against other metal parts and the buzzing pattern changed.
From a nice soft buzz to a loud buzz buzz buuuuuuuuzz buzz buzz buuuuuuuuuuzz. He connected one thing with the other and smirked to himself.
“Must be one hell of a morning.” He mumbled, sipping from a mug of coffee as he just relaxed for a moment. The piercings he was hearing were rattling faster than usual and the intermittent buzzing changed to a long aggressive buzz.
“Shit, I gotta know who’s doing that.”
And check he did. He was a walking metal detector and he wanted to know who was buzzing their bean so early in the morning.
A few days of searching down and he found them. He didn’t have to look for too long on his 3rd day quest since the culprit was currently in a room, using said object, early in the morning.
To his surprise- it was the bathroom.
The women’s showers. He was glad that it was 5 in the morning, any other woman would’ve flipped.
Once inside, he tiptoed his giant self. Maneuvering his frame through the dainty shower room and enjoyed how nice it smelled in here.
A few more steps forward and there was the culprit-(Y/N).
She was part of the night crew and he seemed to be catching her in her private time…shaving with an electric shaver.
When she turned around, she wanted to scream.
There she saw her Captain, Eustass Kid, looking at the wall in order to give her privacy.
“C-Captain!?”
“(L/N)…it’s not what you think.”
“I should hope so! You have a minute to get out of the bathroom before I scream for Heat.”
Uh-oh.
If she did that, captain or not, he’d be in one hell of a pickle. Heat didn’t take these invasions of privacy lightly.
“Got it. My Workspace. When you’re done.”
Never had she seen a man as big and intimidating to run and scramble fast out of the bathroom.
It didn’t take long for (Y/N) to appear with her battery powered shaver and reproducing the sounds that Kid had been hearing.
After a few apologies in the style of Eustass Kid, she scampered off to her quarters. Once inside, she sighed to herself and quietly checked her things, just to find a long, silver bullet…that went buzz when you twist the bottom.
She’d have to start being more careful.
Unless her captain wants to give her a helping hand. She won’t say no to that.
For now, let him be gloriously confused.
The end

i have no idea what's happening (i know nothing about ty or ceci or anyoneelse involved), but it's very clear to me that you and the girlies (gn) are the only ones Enjoying Hockey Correctly 💕
ough thabnk u!! though i think there's no right or wrong way to be a fan as long as everyones having a good time <3
as for what's going on. um.
1) marc-édouard vlasic (pickles) is sorta like our resident cody ceci in that he's seen as a bit of a disaster and catches a lot of friendly fire for it (he used to be really good... ouhh... the passage of time.... and honestly he wasn't even the worst dman we put on the ice this past season LOL) anyway we cherish him dearly for his bitchy auras and divorcee swag!!
2) and uh last season on account of all our guys getting disease of bonebroken we stapled William Eklund to Luke Kunin, i think just so we had two lines that wouldn't get completely smoked (they still got smoked). kunin is analytically Fucking Terrible and watching him play is Also Terrible BUT management love him bc he brings the ""intangibles"" and fights a lot and fun trivia for people who didnt watch sharks games: somehow he was always where one of our d-men should've been when we inevitably gave up a rush chance........hes defending women (goalies) in stem (net) . WE love him because sometimes hockey aint about silly things such as scoring goals... backchecking effectively... not losing your man in dzone coverage... sometimes its about being a personality hire and glue-guy <3 (also hes married to Sophia Shaver, hence: goonwag) because wekky was forced to play w him on a line we think of him like the training wheels for every prospect now....macklin celebrini are u ready for ur leg weights....
and its like HOW can we make this trade as funny as possible? we r puttign these guys in situations.. proposed outcomes so far: ceci-pickles shambling corpse senior dog pairing or make ceci our d-man equivalent of luke kunin and pair him with one of our youth.
