obviously we see that eddie is pretty meticulous/clean and a lot of the grungy/gross eddie content is probably based on stereotyping and classism…

however i personally grew up in several trailer parks and think trailer trash douchebag!eddie is so unbelievably hot so keep up the good work guys

zavala is shown (?) the traveler leaving the percussor planet here i think.

comparing to the season of the deep cutscene:

maybe the witness is showing zavala how the traveler left it (playing on zavala's fears, like when he began questioning the traveler for supposedly giving the hive the light back in witch queen)??? not sure

then it seems like he is in the same place where he meets veiled lady:

with cayde saying "you said it spoke to you?" as in the witness, right? the witness showed him the traveler leaving, then showed him... this?

so the million dollar question is: who is this?

veiled lady holding a shard of glass (???? im not sure what that is) right after the traveler leaves the precursor planet? smells like first knife to me!

especially because we get this later:

aka tons of veiled ladies dying/going puff. which makes it seem like veiled lady might be a representation of the precursors? like, they are all melting into smoke bc they united to become the witness. and the witness is asking zavala to join them/it. it also sounds like one of the veiled ladies is the one who whispers "suffering" to zavala, sooooo

i do feel like the first knife bit might be a stretch buuuut back in season of the deep (cutscene) we were told the precursors desired a "winnower to shape the garden". veiled lady with shard of glass might just be indicating that the precursors wanted to influence the traveler, which caused it to nope the fuck out and eventually led to the witness forming itself. idk.

it might be the ffxiv fan in me, but veiled lady representing the precursors sounds reasonable bc the precursors stripped themselves of individuality (literally!), as in, without faces, recognizable characteristics, etc, with the precursor faction (penitent, i think?) that led the idea of "cutting off" unwanted aspects of the precursor race, everyone becoming one aka the witness, with one single objective and motivation, blah blah blah. it is implied (both in the vidoc and in game, imo) that they didn't succeed in cutting off said unwanted aspects, tho (which is one of the reasons veiled lady whispering stuff to zavala sounds so fucking angry i guess). not all of the veiled ladies/precursors who are contained within the witness are happy about it, is the thing

(also the witness seems to be in front of the veil at this point, which imo just makes it more likely that veiled lady = precursors + quite literally the power of the veil, AS IN VEILED PRECURSORS)

Honestly I thought it would have been cool if they had the town set in countries that are well known for horse racing or breeding that's not the US. I mean I don't hate the world I just wish we had something that was outside of the US. Like Ireland, Australia, or France for example. I'm kind of sick of seeing the same old small towns that are somewhere in America. Also, we already have a juicer, The only difference is it's for wine I guess. I don't know, just maybe just update the item that's already in the eco pack. The only positive thing for me is the goats and horses. Which should have been in the cottage living pack

I have MANY MANY thoughts and I am literally just gonna copy and paste for the most part from what I've said to other people BUT buckle up it's long dshgkjnfdh.

Oh also! Keep in mind i have not looked at any other takes yet so this is all like. authentic Mimi opinion moments ^^.

-Charlie Day Luigi is like. Okay we literally only heard 2 lines and they were screaming which is. Luigi alright (WHICH BTW MAKES ME A LITTLE SCARED ABOUT CHARACTERIZATION LOL). I think he'll handle Luigi fine his voice fits and sparks a little bit of joy. I completely expected this. As much as I hate the casting I have been saying Charlie Day Luigi would be good for months thank you I love being correct literally all the time i have never been wrong about anything in my life <3 (hopefully. we don't have much to go off of). Gives me John Leguizamo Luigi vibes which is surprisingly given the context of THAT movie one of my FAVORITE Luigi portrayals dshgjkfdh.

-The animation is BEAUTIFUL. The lighting effects? OUGH. BOWSER? Do not get me STARTED on the Bowser model. Even Kamek looks great!! I like that they made Bowser's tail a little longer too qwq it makes him more intimidating and there's a part where he's wagging it to be scary dshjkdshg. He's definitely giving goofy but could probably kick your ass vibes??? Which he should. And he is SO expressive!! Like OUGH the way his eyes STRETCH in this shot!!! That's good animation baby!!!!

-However I do NOT like Mario and Luigi's models that much??? They look a little??? Off model. We didn't get TOO much of a good look at Luigi's but Mario's is just. Something is off about it. HATE the way his hair moves btw it reminds me of O'Hare. Anyways look at him look at him look at him there he is it's the boy!

-On that note Mario's model has grown on me a bit (I am watching the trailer for the 3rd time now dsjglnfmdh) I REALLY like the collar on his shirt and his overalls are cute. He just seems a little too...vertical??? And I wish he was fatter all around. He's lacking a lot of that roundness that makes Mario...Mario. Like at LEAST give him chubby cheeks. come on. But on a positive note! I am in LOVE with his eyebrows qwq They're so big and bushy!! They're gonna be GREAT for expressions I can already feel it qwq.

-Jack Black Bowser is great as expected. He seems to be having SO much fun with it and I adore it.

-....Oh god it's time isn't it.. I was uuuh.. I was admittedly putting this off. ... Crisp Rat. I think this screenshot kind of says all I need to honestly??? (Also looking back I mean more like Super Show not the 1993 movie)

I have marked it up with 3 different colors! Red means it has been confirmed with the trailer! Yellow means based off of leaks or assumptions and the trailer, it has pretty much been confirmed! Green means it's just an assumption but the trailer... kind of hints at it??? Anyways

I guess um... TL;DR I REALLY like the animation. The animation is really pretty qwq. They said Mario fans are working on the movie and if I am to trust that....I think it'll be good. Very scared about Luigi characterization though. It looks like they're setting the bros up t be separated a good chunk of the movie??? Which is an interesting take! I just hope the Luigi isn't neglected and is like... actually important? Anyways give us a Super Paper Mario reference thanks bye dshgjnfg
