#NewYearsDay #oracle #reading (Musical accompaniment: #auldlangsyne by #shadowgram) The first day of the new year has come to a close, and I thought tonight would be the perfect time to just consult the cards about what lessons I needed to focus on in the new year, and yet again, they're hitting me in the feels! When I pulled the #Decadence card from my Embroidered Graveyard deck, I was like, "#wtf does this have to do with lessons for the new year?" But then I started reading the explanation in the book, and it became clearer. This year will be about #enrichment, and yes, decadence - not monetary or in terms of consumerism (since that's something I want to try to move away from), but in terms of the nourishment I give myself, how I feed and nurture myself, mind, body, and soul. How I #LetGo, shedding the old me and letting the new me grow and flourish decadently. This tied in with a podcast from my #Wayfarers course again, in that it asks me what I could be, could do, could manifest if I just treated myself like I do my friends, if I did it from a space of ease, love and joy? What if I did ALL THE THINGS this way? It also ties in with the lyrics from Auld Lang Syne: "We'll take a cup of kindness yet..."
