Day 2 Revenge Kirby Fighters 3 and Knuckles: Old Man Yaoi Edition
⚠️ LONG (but good-faith) RANT (that gives a little extra context for today's drawing) UNDER THE CUT (don't worry it's not shipping discourse lmao) ⚠️
Okay so I know neither of these modes are canon and therefore it's SORT OF a moot point, but NARRATIVELY SPEAKING, Meta Knightmare Returns and Dededetour are completely and utterly backwards, right???
What beef does King Dedede have with Dark Meta Knight? What beef does Meta Knight have with Sectonia and Dark Matter Swordsman (besides the fact that they both breathe and hold pointy weapons)? I understand that there's this ongoing plotline with having MK face swordfighters to test his skill, but I still think King Dedede should have been the one to rematch both DMS and Sectonia in Robobot (I do know Sectonia DX in TDX exists, but she isn't the final boss of the Dededetour mode which kinda sucks).
Shadow Dedede himself is a decent idea, but he's new to the series and has absolutely no story introduction (and his design isn't all that interesting, at least to me). Sectonia? Love her, but she deserves a Dedede hammer to the face for all three phases and more. DMS (and Dark Matter in general)? The ORIGINAL Dedede opp (besides Kirby lol). I know these are just clones in-story, but the coolness factor is still there.
You can make the argument that MK got to fight Mecha Knight because of MKR--which is cool, definitely, but if it were King Dedede the same could be said for the Dedede Clone fight, so in my eyes it evens out (actually... Dedede beating Stock Mecha would probably have been even more hype. imho).
Also, a Galacta Knight battle with solo King Dedede would be rad. The power scalers would have a FIELD DAY!!!
Likewise, Meta Knight never actually got to beat DMK in a proper battle at any point, did he? So based on both canon and alt timelines, DMK could still whoop MK's ass. That's just wrong... :(
It's my understanding that TDX was made with absolutely no anticipation of Robobot, so it could be the case that they simply didn't want to give Dedede the spotlight twice. But I sort of wish they had held back on MKR regardless.
Really, I don't think you NEED the anticipation of Robobot's specific plot/mechanics to see that MKR would have fit perfectly in TDX, because it answers the question of "where the hell is MK and why did he sit back when Dedede got kidnapped"? Having him fight DMK would be a way cooler explanation than an implicit "he was doing something somewhere else."
Maybe he's been fighting on the sidelines and is now clearing out the castle--which is full of Sectonia's remaining minions, the strongest and most loyal--and getting to the bottom of some source of magic still coming from the castle. Meanwhile Dedede and Kirby are helping out the people of mainland Popstar that were displaced by Sectonia and the Dreamstalk. And DMK (or, even better--a form of Dark Mind!) serves as the final boss.
Likewise, while the main events of Robobot are going on, the King could be helping Floralia defend themselves from the invasion. (The existence of Sectonia Clone combined with the pause screen that claims "Floralia is too remote to be mechanized yet" is literally just a plot hole anyway. The invaders couldn't overtake Floralia by the time we're fighting Sectonia Clone... despite the fact that they obviously DID find the huge plant that leads DIRECTLY to their kingdom AND the invaders have a mother(computer)ship the size of Planet Popstar AND practically infinite robot soldiers...? Be so fr...)
Extra work/game industry deadlines are a consideration too, but I don't think that applies too heavily here because both modes could have heavily reused and repurposed assets and level designs.
MK could have just had the typical EX mode recolors and stuff, but maybe with the story explanation/design concept that the bosses are being controlled by the Dark Mirror this time, instead of being aggravated by Taranza.
Dededetour in Robobot could have subsequently reused TDX assets. I feel like this is even a case where reskins are the objectively cooler option, as opposed to entirely new assets: seeing the flowery, green areas of Floralia converted to gross, grey landscapes would have been AWESOME, as well as seeing the insects and flower-based enemies turned to robots. Maybe the People of the Sky have been mind controlled: the six main flower fairies work together as a miniboss, and defeating them/breaking their mind control apparatuses is how they are "rescued" here, in parallel to their game of origin. Maybe Taranza is also being mind-controlled in an act of universal karma and Dedede has to bail him out. That would be sick!
This stuff isn't a series-ruiner by any means, but it genuinely feels like a glitch in the Kirby matrix that the plotlines here are so mismatched. If I were whimsically rewriting the Kirby series, the MKR and Dededetour swap would probably be the first change I'd make. (And, again, I'd like to acknowledge that there are/were probably practical considerations of which I'm ignorant.)
You know how the series could still fix everything, though...? Kirby Fighters 3, BUT this time King Dedede and Meta Knight are the main protags. They get to fight magically-summoned/echo versions of DMK, DMS, Sectonia, King D-Mind, Yin-Yarn... you name it. TOGETHER. As husbands should!!!

"Whoever said 'the road to hell is paved with good intentions' left a lot of stuff out..."
[Name:] Noir Fontaine "...It's pronounced 'fawn-tan'"
[Reference Image:]
Tumblr media
[[Tournament Asks Masterpost]]
[Notes on Personality:]
"My pronouns are he/some-kind -of-planet-invading hellspawn, I guess."
A kindhearted teen beneath the surface, growing up amidst humanity's depressive twilight hours on a hostile, frozen wasteland, plus a lifetime of tragedies no one his age should have to bear, has hardened Noir into a sarcastic, sassy little edgelord with a bitter tongue that's as sharp as his cursed sword, both of which he'll turn on anything he finds threatening with little provocation.
Noir's oodles and caboodles of twitchy paranoia combined with him having the approachability of a flea-ridden alley cat, makes breaking the thick ice to touch the heart of the scarred boy hiding beneath a task for only the most patient (or masochistic) of souls.
...And even then, he'll still sass you.
Likes: storytelling, games, the night sky, his siblings Dislikes: violence, crowds, touch, food, opening up
[Backstory and Lore:]
"...My life had way more talking plushies playing key roles than I'd have guessed."
Son of <L.D. Violet Level Access Only> and <L.D. Violet Level Access Only> Noir is a normal (?) human (?) teen from Shiver Star and Adeleine's older brother.
After the early death of his parents under very suspicious circumstances, Noir took over as sole guardian of his little sister, giving up the little-to-nothing he had to keep her safe and happy, including his own happiness, his health, and very nearly his sanity.
His preternaturally bad luck took a turn for the absolutely devastating when–while searching for a cheer-up gift for his little sister amongst some suspicious New World relics–he just so happened to acquire a psychic blade forged of Dark Matter.
As if it knew exactly who he was and exactly who he could go on to be, the Blade attached itself to him in a rather physical (:cough: and un-removable :cough:) manner and began slowly but surely corrupting him, body, mind, and soul.
Yet, he was able to use its destructive gifts to quietly rescue his sister Adeleine from Shiver Star's apocalyptic, dead-end environs and send her off into the endless possibilities waiting in the sea of stars, guaranteeing she, at least, would have a future.
The corruption devours him soon after.
In a 'verse close to that of the canon games, Noir loses his human body upon death along with (most) of his memories, and his captive soul is reforged by Zero as the eldritch entity's elite vanguard, a position which caused King Dedede to dub him "Blade."
In this form, the emotionless(?) Dark Matter drone would go on to adopt Gooey (in place of the sister he could not fully remember) and lead the invasion of Popstar for the collective, unaware it was the very planet Adeleine escaped to. She would not discover the one-eyed shadow monster was her brother till much, much later...
Noir dies a second time, in a duel against Popstar's hero, Kirby of the Stars, having remembered his human life too late to do anything about it. Noir would die for a third time after a disappointed Zero resurrects, tortures, and brainwashes him in order to force his participation in the second, penultimate invasion of Popstar.
Tragically, even after banishing Dark Matter from Popstar and destroying Zero, Noir's soul remains trapped in darkness.
...He would've liked to see his little sister and brother again...
In another 'verse, he and Adeleine swap fates and... :cough:
Favorite Dream Landers: Adeleine, Gooey, King Dedede, Kirby
---
[Notes on Potential (???) Interactions:]
If your OC has ANY ability to sense Dark Matter, is or ever was Dark Matter, or has a grudge against Dark Matter, Noir should set them off like a particularly obnoxious car alarm. He radiates Dark Matter energy, even when he's not doing anything.
If your OC is small, cute, and harmless (ie: reminds him of Adeleine or Gooey in any way) you may earn some begrudging care from the boy. He's got a terminal case of big-brother syndrome, after all.
If your OC has been through the horrors (and specifically NOT come out a better, healthier person for it) he will probably sympathize.
Address him as "Swordsman" and watch him twitch! It's fun!
[Etc:]
For this event, Noir is visually in his "last days as a living human" form, ie: purple-black patches of corrupted flesh and veins and monster hands beneath his gloves.
He's below average height and weight for his age, but being an Earth-human like Adeleine (and taller than her) generally winds up taller than most average Dream Land-type residents
As far as physical appearance goes, Noir is still 16 (the age he died at) but he spent a sizable period of time as Dark Matter and his true mental/emotional age is difficult to calculate.
Outside of the powers he picked up from the sword (teleportation, darkness control, memory-based matter re-creation, etc) Noir, owing to his heritage, has some mild powers all of his own (pre-cognition, cross-dimensional sight, etc) though he is untrained in the use of them and remains unaware they are "powers" at all.

Well, I have done it. I have thrown my son to the Shark-Dees! XD Shall we see how The Boy Who Always Dies does at the @kirbyoctournament ?

8: The Fall of Woodsboro
series masterlist
Tumblr media
The car ride is not quick enough, the building anticipation, fear, and uncertainty is intertwining like sickening vines around your throat.
You and Tara speed along the streets of Woodsboro, making your way toward Town Hall. The evening was falling, casting long shadows across the mostly empty streets. The day had escaped you both, with everything going on, you realize this as you uncoordinatedly park the car without much thought. You both walk quickly towards the building, urgency in your steps.
As you reach the steps leading up to Town Hall, you pause, taking a deep breath to steady your nerves. You see the lights still on inside, signaling that the Mayor and perhaps others were still within.
The last thing you want to do is go back to her house after what happened last time.
The air felt heavy as you made your way up the steps of the town hall. You glance at Tara, noticing the underlying fear and unease etched on her face. She was quieter than usual, her eyes darting about anxiously.
You reach out and squeezed her shoulder reassuringly, but your own anxiety was almost just as palpable. You swallow dryly, throat feeling tight as her eyes meet yours.
“She’ll believe us, she will” you spoke, words a bit unsure even as you say it, all Tara can offer is slight tilt of her head as she takes a deep breath, a silent gesture of ‘here goes nothing’.
As you enter the town hall, your heart pounds in your chest. Every step echoes through the halls, a stark reminder of the weight of the situation. Every breath seemed to stick in your throat, your mind flashing with the memory of the entity and its horrifying warning.
Tara is quiet beside you, her gaze fixed straight ahead, her face pale and her eyes wide. She had clearly been shaken by what you’d told her, and it shows in her continued silence.
You and Tara ascend the steps that lead to the second floor of the building, you feel the tension building with each step, heart pounding in your chest.
Every fiber of your being is on edge, mind filled with all the dire implications of what the entity had told you. There was an urgency now, a sense of impending doom. You finally reach the door of the Mayor's office, where you could hear voices inside.
As you both enter, you notice the Mayor speaking with her assistant, who of which you’d never met before. Upon hearing the door open, they both turn to look at the both of you.
The Mayor's expression turns to one of irritation as you and Tara enter, her eyes narrowing. "Detective," she said, her voice laced with disapproval. "You've been ignoring my calls. I expected daily updates on your progress in this case.”
Your usual calm demeanor falters under the weight of the situation. Your voice trembled as you begin to speak in a jumbled flurry of words. "It's worse than we thought," you blurt out, eyes wide. "It's not just kidnappings. It's much more sinister. I spoke to the entity, and it's coming. It's consuming everything in its path, and it won't stop until there's nothing left-“
The Mayor's confusion was evident. She raised an eyebrow, her tone doubtful as she suddenly raises a hand to cut you off. "What? Entity? What the hell are you talking about?" she echoed, her voice skeptical. Her assistant mirrored her expression, looking equally mystified.
Tara steps in, her voice firm and unflinching. "The Detective is telling the truth," she interjected, her eyes locked onto the Mayor's. "We’re not making this up. Don’t act like you don’t know what's going on. You can’t dismiss this, not after what Jill and Kirby told us.”
Your gaze cuts back to stare at the Mayor, jaw slackening in disbelief. Has she known about the entity all along?
The Mayor waves her hand at her assistant, signaling him to leave the room. As her assistant left, the door shutting behind him with a soft click, the Mayor's demeanor shifts completely. Her expression darkening, her eyes turning hard.
"Yes, I know," she said quietly, her voice a sharp contrast to her previous tone. "I've known about it all along."
“What… how…” you look from the Mayor to Tara, since she seems to be the only one being honest right now.
“She’s Jill’s aunt. They might not have the same last name, but blood doesn’t lie, does it Sidney?” Tara says coldly, eyes hard and unwavering.
Anger flares up within you, fists clenching at your sides. "Are you fucking kidding me?" You exclaim, voice rising. "Why haven't you done something to get people out of town? To warn them about the oncoming danger? Why let this thing consume everything without any attempt to fight back?"
Sidney’s expression turned solemn, her shoulders slouching in resignation. "It's not that simple," she said, her voice low. "Ghostface is cunning, powerful. It can change shape, move through water. It's almost impossible to track. And even if we did manage to evacuate the town, there's no telling what it would do to people in other towns. It won't just stay here. It could spread."
The full weight of the Mayor's confession crashed down upon your shoulders. Decades of knowledge about the entity, and she had stood by and done nothing. You felt a wave of nausea wash over you, your expression twisted in horror.
"For decades?" You repeat, voice hoarse. "You've known about this... this monster, and you've done nothing to stop it."
Sidney looks away, avoiding your gaze. "I had to buy time," she said quietly. "I've been trying to find a way to stop it. Permanently."
You see Tara’s anger flare as she listens to the Mayor's admission. "You can't play god like this," she exclaims, her voice trembling with rage. "You can't decide who lives and who dies. People have families, dreams, lives that matter! And you've let them die, all for a futile attempt to control an entity you don’t even understand!”
Sidney’s eyes flashed with anger as she snaps back "I've been dealing with this entity far longer than you have," she retorts, her voice sharp. "You have no idea the kind of chaos that would be unleashed if I hadn't contained it. It could spread far beyond this town, consuming everything in its path. I've been trying to buy time, to find a solution to this nightmare."
Your face twists in a mixture of anger and disbelief. "But at what cost?" you shot back, voice continuing to rise. "How many lives have you sacrificed for this 'plan'? Families torn apart, innocent people picked for the slaughter all because of your inaction!"
Sidney’s voice rang out, cutting through the tension. "That's why I brought you here!" she exclaims, her words echoing through the room. A tense silence settles over the room, as if the air surrounding was suddenly charged with electricity.
You and Tara exchanged a glance, expressions mirroring each other's disbelief.
The room is thick with tension, the air heavy with the weight of the revelation Sidney had just made. Your mind reels, thoughts a tangle of confusion and disbelief. You feel a sense of betrayal creeping up your spine, a sense of being misled and deceived.
The shadows in the room seemed to grow darker, the silence pressing down on you like a cold, invisible hand. Sidney’s gaze was unflinching, her expression stern.
But then her shoulders slumped, expression turning from stern to hopeless. "I've run out of options," she admits, her voice tinged with weariness. "I've asked help from government officials, from many private detectives, but no one took me seriously. They just dismissed me as crazy, another small town mayor with ridiculous theories."
Her gaze shifts to the Detective, her eyes locking onto yours. "But you... you were different. You listened when I came to you, you sought answers when you arrived, came to your own conclusions. You took the case when no one else would."
You look at her in bewilderment, “so you knew I’d find out the truth eventually?”
Sidney nodded, her eyes still fixed on you. "I knew that if I told you outright, you wouldn't believe me," she explained. "You had to discover it on your own, see the truth for yourself. That's why I let you investigate, discover the entity, however I never expected you to talk to it. You needed to experience the horror firsthand, to understand the danger we're facing."
Your anger boils over, and you lash out. "I didn't sign up for this!" You exclaim, voice shaking with anger as you throw an arm out to your side. "I didn't sign up to play whack-a-mole with some dystopian eldritch horror swamp monster motherfucker! I signed up to solve a missing persons case, not battle supernatural forces!"
Sidney flinches at your outburst, but her expression quickly hardens. "And what did you think they were connected to?" she shot back, her voice ringing with irritation. "Did you really think it was a mere coincidence? A string of unrelated disappearances in this small town over a couple decades, with no correlation whatsoever? You’re smarter than that, Detective.”
You fall silent, angry expression unchanged, but thoughts racing. Sidney takes a deep breath, her gaze softening as she looks to Tara, speaking.
"I know you, watched you grow up in town" she began, her voice quieter now. "I know how skeptical you can be, you get it from your sister, but how you also question even the most obvious of facts. And I understand that you must be questioning everything right now, your entire world turned upside down. But believe me when I say... nothing is how it seems."
The Mayor's gaze shifts to you, her expression one of understanding. "I know your type, Detective," she said quietly, her voice gentle. "You're logical, reasonable. You need answers, you need facts and logic to make sense of the world. But this time, things aren't that simple."
Your mind is spinning, your thoughts a maelstrom of confusion and disbelief. You feel like you’re standing at the edge of a precipice, the world you knew crumbling beneath your feet. Everything you thought you understood, everything you believed in, was crumbling before your eyes.
Questions swirled through your mind like a relentless storm, each one more troubling than the last.
How long had the entity been there, feeding on the people of this town? Is it the only one? Can this thing even be stopped?
Your eyes narrow, expression turning guarded and closed off. You feel a sense of distrust and betrayal building within you, a heavy, hard knot in your stomach.
Your voice turns cold as you ask, "Who else knows? Who else has been keeping this secret?"
Sidney pauses, her gaze shifting between you and Tara. Her hesitation is telling, and it only seems to anger Tara further. "Who else knows?!" Tara echoes you, her voice ringing with anger. "You owe us that much, you lying selfish piece of-“
You stick an arm out, catching Tara who’s now boiling over, “people have been disappearing and you knew?! Teachers, neighbors, family, friends! How could you?! How do you live with yourself-“
“Just my husband, and Gale, the high school Principal and… now you two” Sidney cuts off Tara, steeling herself once again, “they only know because we were all friends in high school when we discovered Ghostface.”
The room fell into an oppressive silence, that heavy weight of reality settling over you like a dark cloud. Your mind was like a whirling vortex, your thoughts spiraling down into a dark abyss.
Slowly, you begin to shut down, your face falling blank as your mind struggled to process everything you’d just learned. The enormity of the situation, the enormity of the lives that had been destroyed, it all became too much to bear.
Sidney’s steely expression wavered for just a moment, her façade slipping to reveal the vulnerability underneath. She pleads with you, desperation lacing her voice.
"Please," she implored, her words trembling. "I'll give you access to everything I have about the entity, every scrap of information, any resource you need. Just please, help me find a solution. Now that you know it's real, you understand the stakes. I’ve exhausted all my options, I’m desperate to end this-“
Your voice is cold once more, your expression hard and uncompromising. "This isn't what I signed up for," you say sternly. "I didn't sign up to battle some uncanny valley type shit. I didn't sign up to be part of some sick, twisted game."
You pause, gaze boring into Sidney. "Keep the money," you continue, tone sharp. "I don't want any part of this. I'm out."
Sidney’s expression falls, her shoulders slumping as your words sink in. She looks more defeated than you’d like to admit, a bit of guilt gnawing at your insides.
Meanwhile, Tara’s anger flares, panic and disbelief warring within her. "What do you mean you're out?" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. "You can't just walk away from this! People's lives are at stake! You can't just abandon them!"
Your face is hard as you whirl around to face Tara, expression cold and unemotional. "This isn't my problem," you say bluntly, voice like ice. "I don't live here. I don't have any personal stake in this. I was lied to, manipulated. I refuse to be held responsible for something I never agreed to be a part of!”
Your words hit Tara like a physical blow, and she visibly flinches. Her voice was broken, tears evident in her eyes as she said, "I live here." She paused, a trembling breath escaping her lips. "My friends, my family... they're all in danger. This might not be your home, but it's mine."
Your cold exterior immediately crumbles at her words, expression softening as you saw the pain and fear in her eyes.
Your internal turmoil is like a tempest, your thoughts swirling around in a chaotic storm. Tara’s words struck a cord within you, causing your heart to ache with empathy. You’re an individual of logic and practicality, but you’re also human, with feelings and emotions you couldn't ignore. You clench your fists, thoughts racing.
Are you really willing to walk away, to abandon these people to their fates? You’d been lied to, misled yes, but did that absolve you of any responsibility now?
Your mind whirls, Tara’s words echoing in your head. But more than that, your thoughts kept returning to her, to Tara. You find yourself asking the most important question - could you walk away from her?
It hit you like a punch to the gut. If you stayed, it would only be for her. But that realization only led to another, more horrifying one. Staying didn't guarantee her safety. It didn't guarantee it at all.
Your mind flashes back through the time you’ve spent with Tara, recalling how you’ve grown close, how she'd been there for you even when she didn't have to be, even when you were strangers. You thought about how she’s helped you, stood by your side without question. Saved you.
And you realize that it wasn't just empathy or responsibility driving you now - it was something deeper, something you didn't want to put into words yet.
“Come with me.”
The room falls silent as you spoke, the tension in the air almost palpable. You turn to face her fully, your gaze intense.
"Come with me," you repeat, voice rough. Tara’s eyes widen, her expression changing from fearful to disbelief in an instant. She stares at you, her mouth opening and closing wordlessly as she struggles to process what you’d just said.
Tara stares back at you, her eyes flickering with conflicting emotions. You read her like a book, which is painful and all too fitting. Tara wants to go with you, to leave this danger behind and say ‘fuck it all to hell’. But she couldn't, and you see that in her eyes.
Her eyes locks onto yours, her gaze full of unspoken pleading not to go. You see the determination beneath her desire to escape with you, her responsibility overshadowing her fear.
If only you were as strong as her, as selfless.
You held each other's gaze, a silent conversation passing between you. She wouldn’t abandon her home, her family, her friends. And you understood, even as you ache for her to come with you anyway.
Tara’s looks at you with a torn expression. She won’t leave knowing an entity like this is looming over them all with the threat of death veiling over the entire town. Even with the knowledge that the Mayor has been allowing this to go on for this long, you know she won’t, you know she’d never.
Tara Carpenter is a good person. Despite her initial prickly façade she puts on for strangers, you’ve grown to know her. She’s kind, she’s honest, she’s real, she’s loyal and devoted to her beliefs to always do the right thing.
You’d never be good enough for her, even if you stayed.
Tara’s voice shakes, her apology pushed through trembling lips. "I’m sorry," she whispers brokenly, her eyes filling with tears. You feel a pang in your chest, your own heart breaking at the sight.
“So am I.”
But your feet still move, compelled by a mixture of fear, doubt and self-preservation. You take slow, reluctant steps backwards, your gaze never leaving hers even as the weight of the moment threatens to suffocate you.
For a moment you think she’ll ask you not to go, to stay, but you know she won’t do that either. Why would she?
You stumble out of the room, your thoughts a jumbled mess. Your ears ringing, heart pounding, and your breaths coming in ragged gasps. You feel like you’re going to collapse, like the weight of it all is too much to bear.
You rush out of Town Hall, legs carrying you as far away as they will. Your body is in fight or flight mode now, pure panic fueling your every step. You feel possessed, your mind in chaos as you try to cope with everything that's happened.
Being attacked. Wes disappearing right in front of you. The nightmares. Being buried alive. More nightmares. Your heart stopping. The overwhelming reality everything you know is a lie, that nothing can be done.
Your legs finally give out as you fall to your hands and knees, clutching at your chest as your breathing becomes labored, panicked gasps. You feel like you're drowning, suffocated by the enormity of everything.
Your mind is a whirlwind of questions and doubts, reality cracking around the edges. Everything you've ever known, ever believed in, is being called into question. You feel on the brink of a full breakdown, your world tipping precariously out of control.
You focus on taking deep, measured breaths, mind slowly calming from the chaotic whirlpool it had become. It took time, but eventually your panic subsides, replaced only with the throb of a throbbing headache.
You stay there on the ground, eyes closed, still feeling shaken but somewhat calmer. Your thoughts are still racing, but less chaotic now, more coherent.
You slowly stand, legs still shaky. Your mind once again focusing on a single, nagging question: can you really walk away from her?
You take a breath to steady yourself before you once again begin to walk, but the steps are slow, almost reluctant. The weight of the decision you’re faced with feels like a thousand metal chains weighing you down. You’re still torn, heart and mind in conflict.
You attempt to rationalize it, telling yourself that she is just some girl you’ve known for a month or so. But the words sounded hollow even in your own mind.
Tara isn’t just some girl.
This wasn't just some girl you’d met by chance. This was someone who had helped you, who had stood by your side despite everything. Someone who’d put trust in you. Someone who had wormed her way into your heart without you even realizing it.
The thought brings you to a complete stop, feet coming to a halt as the realization sinks in to the depth of your soul. The truth clear now, undeniable. You couldn't leave. You won’t leave even when you should.
Because of her.
You promised you’d never go anywhere without her. You promised. Where the fuck are you going without her?
You know it with a certainty now that rattles you. You’re invested now, emotionally and all otherwise. Tara was right, you couldn't walk away, not now. Not after everything.
“This is the part in the movie where the protagonist does the stupid thing and gets killed for the pretty girl.”
You shook your head, trying to shake off the fear and uncertainty. Then, you square your shoulders and took a deep breath.
With a fresh determination, you start walking back towards Town Hall. You take the time to recollect yourself as you push through the doors, shoving down all the doubts and fears that had nearly consumed you. This time, you are resolute. You know what you need to do.
You reenter the room to find the Mayor and Tara in the midst of an argument, their voices quickly falling silent as you walk in. Sidney’s expression was stoic, unreadable, but her eyes show a glimmer of surprise.
Tara, on the other hand, visible relief at the sight of you. There is a hint of hope in her eyes, a glint of disbelief that you hadn’t actually left. Her shoulders seemed to sag, tension draining out of her body.
She looks as if she wants to say something but holds herself back, waiting to see what you will do.
You spoke with a calm intensity, your voice leaving no room for argument.
"Call everyone who knows, have them join us here” you order the Mayor. "I also want the Sheriff and Officer Carpenter involved. Have them meet us here so they can be informed, immediately."
Sidney opens her mouth to protest, but you cut her off before she could speak.
"Now," you say firmly. "No more bullshit. No more secrets. You want my help? I want my team on this.”
Sidney is clearly reluctant, but inevitably sighs as she grabs her phone from her desk, nodding curtly before stepping into the next room to make the calls. As soon as she is gone, Tara turns on you, her anger bubbling over.
She shoves at you, her hands trembling as tears well in her eyes. "How could you?!” she demands, her voice wavering. "How could you even think about leaving?"
Her words are a mixture of anger and fear, her emotions spilling over. "I trusted you!" she continued, her voice shaking. "I believed in you, and then you just try to walk away?"
She pushes at you again, the movement lacking real force, more out of frustration than anything.
“I stopped and restarted your fucking heart, you asshole! I watched you die, don’t you understand what I put myself through for you?!”
You stay rigid beneath her onslaught, absorbing her words and her anger. You don’t respond, letting her vent her emotions without interfering.
She continues, a few tears escaping and staining her cheeks. "After everything we've been through, everything I've told you... how could you even consider leaving me to face this alone?"
Her voice broke on the last sentence, her anger giving way to the fear and vulnerability beneath. She looked up at you with damp eyes, pleading for your explanation.
"I thought we were in this together," she whispers, her voice barely audible. "Don't you care at all? Or did you just conveniently stop smoking because it’s fucking bad for you.”
Your own eyes begin to glisten as you listen to her call you out. So she had noticed. Your facade of initial collected calm starts to crumble, the vulnerability beneath seeping through yet again.
"You're right," you admit, voice rough. "I’m afraid. Terrified, even. But the thought of leaving you behind..."
You trail off, voice nearly breaking. "I couldn't do it," you continue, your eyes locked onto hers. "I couldn't leave you. You're the only reason I'm even here."
You pause, swallowing the lump in your throat. "I'm sorry," you whisper, voice a ragged rasp. "I'm sorry for even considering it. I'm sorry for trying to walk away. You're right. It was never truly an option for me."
You take a step closer to her now, closing the distance between you. "I can't promise everything will be alright, or that we’ll even solve this," you say, much quieter now. "But I promised that I would never go anywhere without you. Not willingly. And I meant it, I’m holding myself to that. I’m with you, right here by your side, whether you like it or not."
Tara is visibly hesitant, her trust shaken by your initial attempt to leave. When she registers you’d stepped closer, she shoves you again, her movements lacking the anger of before but still filled with frustration.
"How can I trust you?" she protested, her voice trembling. "After what you just tried to do? How do I know you won't try to leave again?"
You take a deep breath, your eyes meeting hers with an intensity that almost takes her breath away.
"You want to know why you can trust me?" You ask, voice dropping to a near whisper once more. "Because despite everything, the fear, the uncertainty, there's one thing I know for sure."
You hold her gaze, eyes boring into hers.
"If something happened to you, something I could've prevented..." your voice trails off, jaw clenching, "I'd never forgive myself."
Tara scoffs skeptically, her tone laced with bitterness.
"Bullshit," she retorted, trying to push at you again. "You don't get to just come back and say that and expect me to—"
But before she could finish her sentence, you grab her wrists, stopping her mid-motion. Your grip is firm but gentle, your touch electric against her skin. The tension in the air suddenly reaching a peak, heavier than anything with weight on this physical plane you exist on.
You squeeze her wrists softly, holding her gaze as you spoke.
"Don't you get it?" You force the words out brokenly, “ever since I’ve arrived here, I haven’t been sure of a lot of things. I’ve questioned everything I know, my beliefs, my morals, my sanity.”
Your touch on her wrists is intimate yet firm, the proximity between you feels electrifying, leaving no room for denial of the implication as your gaze drops to watch how your thumbs gently caress her pulse points.
"This... it's not something I planned. Or even wanted," you continue, voice quieter. "But it's real. Too real. And it's gotten in my veins, it pumps through me every time my heart beats."
Your eyes flicker back up to search hers, trying to convey something you haven’t yet admitted out loud. Or to yourself.
"I can't promise your safety and that fucking kills me. I can't promise you much, really," you murmur. "But I can promise you this: I won't leave. I won't abandon you."
Tara’s anger begins to crumble, her gaze softening as your words sink in. Her eyes mirrored a myriad of emotions - pain, frustration, longing, and a growing realization.
She tried to speak, but words fail her. Instead, she just looks up at you, her expression baring every emotion she is feeling in that moment. Her eyes shimmered with tears, her lower lip trembling.
The tension between you heightens, the air crackling with an intensity that could only be described as intimate. You’re both standing on the brink of something, one word left unspoken but painstakingly present.
Before the moment between you can reach its peak, the sound of several voices outside the room shatters the silence. The moment falls to ruin, the outside world crashing back into focus.
Tara pulls back slightly and you release her wrists, her eyes widening momentarily before she steps away fully. Both of you take a shaky breath, attempting to collect yourselves. But even as you move apart, you share one last look that confirms an inevitable.
The intensity of the moment didn't fade completely. It’s there in both your eyes, a knowing look that spoke volumes. The others may have interrupted as they enter the room, but the unspoken tension between the two of you remained.
You turn to those entering, nodded grimly to the Sheriff and Sam as they enter, your expression darkening briefly before you turn your attention to Gale. The two of you share a nod of acknowledgement, the small smile on her face makes you think she’s almost appreciative of your presence.
Sam heads straight towards Tara, scolding her for her lack of communication while enveloping her in a tight hug. "You had me worried sick," she chides gently. "Going all day without answering your phone? Disappearing with this delinquent? I could skin you alive-“
“Sam, relax, Jesus. I’m a grown ass woman” Tara flushes slightly, but her apologetic expression reflects her acknowledgement for Sam’s concerns, before murmuring, "I promise we’ll explain everything soon, just please-“
You tune out the rest as your gaze moves to Sidney’s husband, Billy’s innocent demeanor making your stomach churn. The memory of being buried alive was still as vivid as ever, the fear from that day returning in a flash.
There’s been only a few moments you’ve considered just telling Sidney what you’d found, you’re sure you could watch them both get taken away without anyone you care about getting hurt in the process.
However, with the current predicament you’re all in, the information you have is the equivalent to a loaded gun. You keep it in your pocket for now.
As Billy stood beside his wife, he shoots you a cold, sadistic look, a silent warning passing between you. The message was clear: don’t try anything rash.
Your eyes shifted to the second man from that fateful night, his gaze just hard. Stu is giving you the same look as Billy, less subtle but no less threatening. He moves to stand by Billy’s side, creating an intimidating duo.
Sam and Tara walked back over to your side, taking their places next to you. Them being the ones who had rescued you from that nightmarish moment is a present reminder of what exactly is in the line. Their eyes were hard as they took in the two men across from you.
A silent stand off, if you will. Both Billy and Stu know this, but the crackle of tension from an unspoken forced agreement tastes like copper on your tongue.
The way Billy eyes you three is unsettling, but when his gaze lingers on Sam, something in you stirs. A jab in the back of your mind, like you’re missing something.
Sam suddenly starts to speak, voice low, “you think now is the right time to spill the dirt?”
“Thinking about it-“
Before you can finish your whispered reply, Sidney steps forward, her voice cutting through the tension invisible to everyone else.
"Thank you all for coming tonight," she starts, her voice firm but not unfriendly. "You've been gathered here for a very important reason."
“Sid I really don’t think-“
“They should know, Gale” she cuts the other woman off, Gale shifts nervously next to her husband as if anticipating the chaos that will ensue shortly.
Sam and Dewey are the only ones who look lost, which becomes clear to them as the Sheriff speaks up, “can someone tell me what the hell is going on?”
Sidney nods grimly, her expression serious as she begins to explain.
"First things first, the stories are true," she confirms, getting right to it as she keeps her voice steady. "There is an entity terrorizing this town, it has been for longer than we could even imagine. It's not folklore or legend; it's real."
She pauses, her gaze flickering to the Gale before she continued.
"We couldn’t tell you," she says, her tone hush as looks back to Dewey. "As Chief of Police, everyone looks to you for answers. If you’d known... the guilt and grief would've eaten you alive."
The Sheriff was visibly ruffled at first, his expression flickering between disbelief and anger. He took a long moment, his jaw clenching, before muttering, "I hate that this makes sense."
He then turns to his wife, his gaze intense and resentful. "I can't believe you didn't tell me," he said, his voice rough. "But... I guess I should thank you. For sparing me the knowledge, but that doesn’t make any of this right."
Gale’s expression shows a hint of surprise as her husband accepts the situation more easily than expected. When she spoke, her voice is soft and shaky.
"I'm sorry," she murmured, her eyes holding his. "I just wanted to protect you from the truth. The guilt and fear knowing people disappearing would be out of your control... it would've destroyed you, and I couldn't bear to see that."
He sighs, rubbing a hand over his face as if he’s trying to absorb the onslaught of revelation into his skin “I guess I was wrong, there are people in this town who would keep something like that quiet for generations.”
That makes you snort, chiming in as you mumble “yeah well you were right when you said I was barking up the wrong tree.”
Sam cut in suddenly, her skepticism clear in her voice. "No, this is bullshit," she blurts out, her irritation obvious.
The others in the room shoot her looks ranging from irritation to concern. Sidney bristles at the interruption, but before she can say anything, the Sheriff spoke up.
"Watch your mouth, Carpenter," he growls, his tone warning.
Sam raises an eyebrow, unrepentant. "Why? You honestly believe all this, Sheriff? The thing parading around town in a fucking Halloween costume is an otherworldly being haunting the town? Behind everything? Really?"
"Enough, Carpenter," the Sheriff replies, his voice stern. "This isn't the time or place for your attitude."
Sam opens her mouth to argue further, but then Tara is stepping in, her voice soft yet firm. "Sam, stop," she said, her expression pleading.
That makes Sam pause, Tara’s voice quivers as she speaks, her emotions bubbling just beneath the surface. "This is real, Sam," she said, her tone earnest. "I need you to pull your head out of your ass so we can all work together on this."
Sam looks a bit taken aback by the blunt request, Tara pauses for a moment, her gaze roaming over the faces in the room before she continues.
"We can't fight this if we're not united," she continued. "So pin the skepticism and help us save this town before it's too late."
Sam is still skeptical, her expression unmoving... until Tara pulls out the ultimate weapon - the sibling angle.
"Please, Sam," she pleaded, her voice shaking. "Do you seriously think I'd lie about something like this? After everything?"
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, the raw emotion in her voice was like a punch to the gut for Sam, and it finally caused her stoic façade to crack.
Tara knew exactly what to say to push the angle. "You're the only one I’ve been able to count on my whole life," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "I need you with us on this. We can't do this without you."
Sam visibly softens at those words, her tough exterior crumbling. She wasn't the only one affected either. The Mayor and the Sheriff both looked visibly stricken at Tara’s vulnerability.
Sam doesn’t directly agree to fully believe in the entity, but she was clearly moved by Tara’s plea. You knew she would cave, because if you’ve learned anything, Sam would find a way to freeze hell over for Tara. Her expression softened slightly as she turned to Sidney.
"Fine," she said gruffly. "Say this thing is real. What can be done to stop it?"
Sidney nods, her expression serious. "I've got a pretty substantial collection of documents and research," she explains. "I keep it all in my private study."
She pauses, her gaze sweeping over the room. "We've gone through it all before," she confess, her tone resigned. "None of it seemed to offer a solution, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. We just have to keep looking."
The room falls silent, the atmosphere becoming tense with uncertainty. The Sheriff looked troubled, his brow furrowed in thought. Sidney clasps her hands together tightly, her knuckles turning white as she and Gale share a look. Even Sam, despite her previous skepticism, looks worried.
Billy and Stu seem visibly ruffled, to the point where even you’re taken aback by their reaction. They share uneasy glances between each other, their expressions tense and guarded.
You knew that these men are capable of terrible things, but seeing them looking so uncomfortable was a stark reminder of how even the most hardened and twisted of souls could be shaken by a force they couldn't control.
Your gaze shifts around the room, taking in everyone's expressions. They all shared a sense of trepidation and anxiety about the situation, about the unknown entity that haunts their town.
You take a deep breath, your expression hardening with determination. You look around the room once more, gaze landing on each of the gathered faces.
"This thing," you began, voice firm but not unkind, "the entity - Ghostface - needs to be stopped. At any cost."
Your eyes flicked to Billy, locking onto him. "We all have our differences, our grievances, our disputes. But those don't matter right now. Right now, the only thing that matters is working together to bring an end to this thing's reign of terror."
Your gaze moved to the Sidney, Dewey, Gale. "We don't have to agree with each other. We just have to work together. For the safety of this town, for the safety of ourselves and loved ones, we have to set aside our differences and focus on the task at hand."
You pause, expression earnest. "Because make no mistake, this thing is dangerous. It's powerful. We might not be able to find a way to kill it. But at least together... we may stand a chance fighting against it.”
The atmosphere in the room shifts as you spoke. The tension is still there, but now it was mixed with a sense of determination. Everyone looks more focused, more resolute.
One thing is certain, you all want the entity gone. The shared goal is now the common threat that bounds you together, despite past differences.
You glance over at Tara instinctively, your eyes meeting for a brief moment. In that instant, you’re reminded of the reason you came back. Seeing her standing there, determined and strong amidst a complete shitshow of uncertainty and ambivalence, how you chose not to leave despite knowing the danger entailed.
Your gaze holds hers for a moment, your expression soft but intense. Your new purpose, why it is so important to find a way to end this entity's reign. For her.
So with that, you turn back to the room, making the final declaration that will inevitably teather you to this town henceforth.
“Ghostface’s vision of the Fall of Woodsboro will never come to light, so help me God.”

The Possible New Future of the Sonic Franchise - Thanks to fucking Sonadow
Tumblr media
WOW! SO…THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED 💀
A few days ago it was rumored a Sonic Generations remaster was happening and will be revealed in the State of Play, which then revealed Shadow will be playable. It was really unknown what the hell this meant, but many theorized this was going to be a Bowser’s Fury/Kirby Return case: Game from an old console is remastered/ported with a whole brand new campaign that may or may not be related and possibly intertwined with said game’s story or lore.
They were correct.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh yea did I forget to mention BLACK FUCKING DOOM IS BACK?????
Tumblr media
There isn’t much yet to go off of right now in terms of what’s being planned here besides this excerpt on steam
Tumblr media
————————————————
Alright, enough showcasing, what the hell am I talking about by this game (that was just revealed) being a new future for the Sonic franchise? Well, it’s mainly due to these two things: the usage of Black Doom, and this fucking logo
Tumblr media
A little bit of a history lesson -
Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)
….wasn’t really a well received game. Besides how many viewed it to be trying too hard to be edgy and dark and gritty, its gameplay was a lot left to be desired. Confusing and lore retconning writing, weird awkward gameplay, you probably already know by now, it was arguably where SEGA/Sonic Team got scared of doing spin-offs with other characters. The concepts and ideas were there, there were still reasons to like the game and like how Shadow improves as a character in the canonical story of the game, it was a small shiny stone in a pile of coal. Besides 06, this was the most development or focus Shadow would ever receive as a character before his massive change in writing in 2010.
Due to the 2010s change in writing style and how characters were written thanks to SEGA to avoid any association from “erm Sonic tried to be serious at one point? Cringe!”, Shadow possibly became the most controversial character of the cast, with him going from a really intriguing 3 dimensional character about trauma, loss, and trying to move on from the past, to many feeling like he’s regressed into a Furry Vegeta or a tryhard loner who doesn’t need friends to help him, the IDW comics being a big example of this. He still had a few good moments like his whole prologue in Sonic Forces, but even then it wasn’t anything intriguing like his story in Sonic 06 where he learns to accept his future might turn out shit, but he’ll always fight back with his team if things get dark (see what I did there?).
Before I continue, I would like to say - blaming Ian Flynn for how Shadow’s written in the IDW comics where he’s more brute and moody…..doesn’t seem correct, imma be real. I know he may have the occasional odd idea of the characters, but it’s very clear the way he’s written is due to certain mandates from SEGA and how characters/the world should be like. If Shadow’s whole moody brute demeanor is truly how Flynn views the character…..how does that explain how he was written in the Archie comics? aka the older comic series Flynn wrote for before SEGA started to get strict with the franchise, aka the series many believe to have had really great Shadow moments? I’m not saying there can’t be criticism for how Flynn may sometimes write characters, but in the case of him being the sole reason for how Shadow is written, that assumption made on him is a lil unfair.
Regardless, in recent times, it’s no doubt that the franchise is starting to rebuild it’s confidence again: acknowledging the old 3D games, including 06, having a more serious story with layers and depth like in Frontiers, Frontiers itself reintroducing Sonic’s friends and their struggles, making them playable once again in a 3D game (again, Shadow was cool to see in Forces but, you could only go so far with a simple reskin of Sonic). Not to mention after the update that brought back these characters, we got Sonic Superstars where the main selling point was that it was a co-op game, and Sonic Dream Team having a focus on the franchise’s more forgotten character: Cream the Rabbit (not to mention bringing back a sorta SA2-style gameplay where 6 characters were grouped into 3 styles of controls). Oh yea also prior to all that, Amy was made playable in the original Sonic genesis games via Sonic Origins.
———————————————
So, what does all that have to do with the future of the franchise, and why is Shadow 05 important here?
First off: Shadow is getting that same treatment as other friends, but possibly on an even bigger level: being a new playable character in an older title and being a big enough deal to get his own story and reintroduce people to what makes him who he is sadly no co-op gameplay but hey that would require completely changing this game from what it was initially was. This is really perfect timing as with the upcoming release of Sonic Movie 3 and Shadow being the next foe for Sonic to face off, Sonic x Shadow Generations will be a perfect title for new fans to dive into and learn more about Sonic’s history and dive further into Shadow’s history, just like what Sonic Origins was for fans who just came back from watching Sonic Movie 2.
This whole thing is also a massive implication that other characters than Sonic may start to get their own campaigns again, building more lead-ups to possibly full on spinoff games. I should say this again: Forces did try to do something with Shadow, but for the most part it was just reusing whatever the game already had to create a quick and easy 3 level prologue that…doesn’t really add all that much to the overall story (at this rate you can probably assume Forces tried to do a lot of things Sonic is now attempting to do, however due to the kinda era it came from, it didn’t have much going for it). Sonadow Generations seems like something bigger and more personal to the character involved, something that could possibly rival the OG game’s campaign.
The fact in this story, they’re going so far as to make Black Doom the main antagonist of this campaign and giving back Shadow’s tribal logo is a massive sign that this is a true attempt to revisit Shadow’s entire legacy. They could’ve easily just made his whole ordeal involve what happened in Sonic Adventure 2, after all that’s what he’s most remembered for, but going as far as to properly acknowledged a lesser known game as being part of the Sonic lore instead of dismissing it simply because it wasn’t well received, it continues to show the confidence this series has started to regain. Sure, it’s weird, it’s wacky, it’s wild, but it doesn’t make it any less something to acknowledge or at the very least make good out of something bad. While we did get hints of Shadow 05 still being part of the canon via the Eggman logs in Frontiers mentioning Black Doom, having him come back officially was still a completely wild thing to see; never in a million years would anyone have thought he would come back as the main villain.
The biggest part of this whole thing is: if SEGA is allowing for Shadow 05 to be fully acknowledged
.
this might mean they’re starting to pull back on their restrictions on the character.
——————————————
As I stated before, it is very clear they wanted nothing to do with this game or anything similar to it ever again, I mean the fact we never got any spin-offs after this really shows they weren’t gonna come back to other characters ever again. But now…everything’s on the table. If Black Doom is making an appearance, if Shadow’s tribal logo is back as part of his identity, what else could there be next? Will Shadow start to use guns again? Will he ride his motorcycle, and other vehicles like in 06? Hell, will motherfucking Mephiles come back again for this campaign?
Not to mention the description of the game stated that Shadow will confront painful memories, will we see Maria in HD getting shot, or the commander from Shadow 05 who was out to get him making a reappearance? This might be the first time in a whole decade since other human characters (not counting Sage since she isn’t exactly fully human) making an appearance again in the Sonic franchise. Again, we may have gotten hints of them still being a thing with the likes of Frontiers’ Eggman logs bringing up GUN and Maria, but actually showing up in-game means other humans can still make appearances in-game.
(Take this part with a massive grain of salt but I’ve heard that Ian Flynn in the past has expressed he wanted to bring back Black Doom and Mephiles, but SEGA didn’t allow it, now that one of them happened, it proves that there indeed has been less restrictions now)
If there are less restrictions being made on stuff like acknowledging Shadow’s game, what could this mean for how Shadow himself may be written now? We’ve seen how apparently well written Shadow was in Sonic Prime, could this carry over to the games and comics where he has a less frustrating depiction? I mean, the fact Ian Flynn was hired for one massive mainline game (Sonic Frontiers) and suddenly they’re doing all these lore related things for the franchise or going back to pull up any old stuff and see what they can do with it, it shows there is a level of trust between SEGA and Flynn and letting the man cook. And it makes complete sense too, he’s been a long time writer for the franchise since the Archie comics, he seems to have a great understanding of the characters.
If Shadow 05 is getting this level of acknowledgement, what about other more forgotten games? Will we one day see Sonic 06 be better acknowledged, or more likely a character like Silver having a bigger role in something related to the events of 06? I mean for some reason recent episode titles of the upcoming Knuckles show revealed one episode called “Flames of Disaster,” who’s to say they aren’t already looking into 06 for some ideas for not just the movie canon, but as well as the main canon?
Tumblr media
—————————————
I’m drifting off a little but I’m sure you get by now what I’m tryna say. This game, as it may seem like just a simple small remaster with extra content, may end up creating something bigger for the franchise going forward. Seeing how Sonic Team is behind this remaster and not Blind Squirrel (the people who made Sonic Colors Ultimate; while possibly rushed by SEGA, they’ve also have had a questionable track record with remasters), and hints that Flynn is behind this story, I think we are in great hands with this game. This may be the first remaster to finally be flawless in every level, which I know is a little sad to say when it comes to this 30+ year old franchise, but hey, can’t win them all!
——————————————
Before I end this comically large essay, I would like to make one final note on this whole topic. As I was writing this and taking breaks last night, I came across a tweet that was kinda starting to go around about this game.
To summarize, the tweet essentially claimed that Sonic was still stuck in the past. The franchise was still relying on nostalgia pandering as its identity, and due to the contents of Generations being a whole celebration of Sonic’s history (and what unfortunately started SEGA’s cling onto Green Hill and Chemical Plant), aka alleged nostalgia pandering, it proves the franchise’s identity is still about how when Sonic used to be cool. It hasn’t attempted to evolve in the past 14 years.
You can probably guess what my thoughts on that take is after reading this whole post.
.
.
.
.
.
No.
I don’t think so.
As I already showed, the addition of Shadow’s story more than proves this is still stepping forward. It’s taking an old beloved game and instead of just updating graphics or performance and leaving it at that, they’re making something brand new out of it that may define future ideas for other characters that isn’t about Sonic. Not to mention this game barely attempts to be all like, “Revisit all these iconic locations from your childhood!!!” SEGA is clearly looking at Generations not as that one game they can rely on for easy nostalgia pandering, but as a successful and fun game from the last decade in its own right. I mean to the general public, it’s considered to be “one of the few good Sonic games.”
It can be argued that the addition of Shadow and Black Doom may be pandering to the audience into Shadow but…really? They’re tryna solely pander and play on the nostalgia of a small minority of players who liked a game that was considered to be the start of Sonic’s downfall in the 2000s and make that the selling point of this remaster to the general public? Where some in said general public may argue that they’re about to ruin a rare good Sonic game with stuff that they think no one ever liked??? I don’t really believe it.
Hell, speaking personally, I’ve never played Shadow 05, I don’t own a GameCube, maybe a PS2 but even then I didn’t get much games at the time. While I sorta played around with the franchises growing up, I fully got into it around when Sonic Mania came out (and even then it took me a while to finally play it). So even though I may be hyping up Black Doom’s return, I myself am not coming from any rose tinted glasses or anything, these are just observations from the many discussions I’ve seen online or videos showcasing these games. Same would go for a lot of people into that game as many while loved it, still would acknowledge where it fumbles and how it’s definitely not the definitive Sonic experience to have.
Sonic has begun to evolve, experimenting with new ideas and offering new and different ways to enjoy the franchise. As mentioned earlier, lots of shit happened in the past 4 months. While I agree that something like Frontiers relying on the same old levels for Cyberspace to be stupid, that shouldn’t undermine the actual new stuff it offers for the franchise. I feel like we’re already far beyond the franchise needing to be like “hey remember Green Hill???” as it’s main identity for a game/the franchise. And even then, this shouldn’t mean Sonic can’t look back on previous entries anymore ever again.
Many want Sonic to be like other franchises, like Mario, Kirby, etc, they’ve been also occasionally doing the look back on an old title or old past, so why not let Sonic do the same? We shouldn’t immediately respond to a callback with claims that it’s poor nostalgia pandering, as the take away imo always should’ve been that there should be a balance between original and new and looking back on what worked.
I am happy to say that regardless what this remaster is, we are in good hands again.
———————————————
also unrelated as hell but pray for this man, he has not uploaded a Sonic video in 4 months, I think SEGA killed him by over feeding him with content 😭

PERSONA 5 TACTICA IS NOT GREAT: AN ODDLY-CONSTRUCTED RANT
Pt. 4.5: Kingdom 4 Is A Waste Of My Time
After shortly running through each Kingdom's gimmick in the previous part, I realized something that I knew I needed to discuss on its own. And that's the fact that Kingdom 4 is the worst thing to happen to any Persona player since October 4th!
It might sound like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. It sucks. I hate it. It's garbo! It's what would culminate from Fuuka, Chie, Yukiko, Akechi, and Zenkichi all collaborating to cook something. Blindfolded.
Who in the board meeting stood up and was like, "you know what would make this game better? If we did a dumb boss rush at the final world, while making everything and everyone grey!" And everyone clapped. And the one mother flipper that tried to object was launched to the stratosphere.
Let me tell you something: no one likes a boss rush, especially if it's a recolored version of the same boss. I hated it in Kirby, and I hate it here. And even then, it's just the bosses repeating the same kinds of lines and attacks once you get to them after two missions (I get that that's the point, but still).
The environment isn't even that nice to look at. It's just....Grey and metallic. It's extremely boring, and makes me frustrated having to go through 9 levels of this same environment. Even the enemies are grey!
Tumblr media
Oh, but don't worry! The game actually gives a reason as to why everything looks like this!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Translation: After Toshiro found his big boy britches, Salmael ran out of colored ink in his printer, so now has to resort to the black and white setting no one likes.
That's still such a stupid reason, but OKAY!
They also tried to explain why they brought back the bosses, and it's just as dumb!
Tumblr media
So, basically, Samael brought these rulers back simply to put fear back into Toshiro....even though he has gone against and conquered these fake versions of these people before! So, obviously, it won't work again, just because they're grey now, and you amped up what they say now!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Isn't it funny just how over-the-top she's being (even though she was always like this)? Isn't it hilarious how the big bad is so desperate to make Toshiro shake in his little boots, that he just had to bring back the same ridiculous-looking mother flippers again, but add a grey coat of paint on them with cute red highlights? No. At least, not to me.
You know what is funny? The fact that they did this just to show how Toshiro has grown throughout this game. But really, this is just unnecessary.
The fact that he has faced these people before and even get scenes before and after their defeat where he accepts what they did to him, and he'll stand up to them SHOWS this! Hell, his awakening + him fighting his shadow was supposed to show this growth! We don't need an extra reminder of this! We kind of get it! The fact he's even down here to face a GOD should be proof enough! We shouldn't have to be forced to relive this same moment of confrontation *X3* to prove to us that Toshiro is no longer the guy that keeps a night light in his bedroom to go to sleep! Then again, I still have my doubts, considering how they handle his growth, but trust me, WE'LL GET TO THAT!
So, in a way, this is all just one big rehash. They might as well have cut to the final boss the moment we got to this Kingdom to save me the trouble!
Also, you mean to tell me that I have to fight Eri AGAIN after having just faced her, not....*8* missions ago?! And she's somehow EASIER??!! AND GREY????? Is this really how we're ending the game???
And this is just the surface - a peek through the curtain, if you will - of just how dumb the villain is, since this is his lair! His Bowser's castle! He couldn't even be bothered to put in some torches! NOTHIN'!!
I keep saying it, but I will talk about the villain at some point! And I'll have words for him!
Then again, I already did, here. Let's just say, insulting his decor was the first step among a whole 2 year-old's Christmas list's length list.
Pt. 1
Pt. 2
Pt. 3
Pt. 4
(Next up's just gonna be another random tangent on something I don't think many people have talked about, so might as well step into the ring. Sorry once again if it takes too long)

Lucas : Food. I need Food. There's gotta be some food. Some food, need a delicious free-meat substitute. I really gotta have some food!
*Door opens*
Lucas : ....Where's all the FOOOD!?!
(lucas begins to searches any food)
Lucas : Food! Food! Food! Where's all the food, I really needs some food, where did they put all the food! There's no food anywhere!
(Lucas falls down on his knees, and looks up)
Lucas : (yelling) WHERE IN THE WORLD IS ALL THE FOOOD!?!
Ness : Look, Lucas! Up in the sky! It's a bird...!
Samus : It's a plane...
Waddle Dee : It looks like...
[cues to Staff Roll (Kirby's Dream Land/Spring Breeze)]
*DBZ SFX : Harp sound*
Link : FOOOOOOD!!! (Everyone uproaring)
Lucas : OH THANK YOU SUPREME BEING! THANK YOU! FREE FOOD!
Ness : So that's how world hunger ends.
Link : Let's chow down on some free food!
Mario : Free Food!? Everyone, get the free food!
(they all rush to get the food)
Lucas : This is a dream come true! Fresh free food! Fast Food joints wants some of this tasty goodness, what I need some food to end world hunger is this deliciously nice tasty cake!
Ness : Uhh, Lucas. I don't think that's--
Lucas : Hello, sweet and delicious. Come to papa!
*BITE*
Kumatora : OW! WHAT THE HELL, LUCAS!?
*Record Scratch*
Lucas : What? That's funny, I don't remember my cake looking a like...
(it is revealed that Lucas is daydreaming while biting Kumatora's buttocks)
Lucas : (realizing) Oh...Crap.
Ness : Excuse me! Lucas, what do you think you're doing!? You're biting your friend's butt!
Lucas : Oh my...Oh my God! Kumatora! I-I-I am so sorry! I can explain this to you! Please don't be mad at me!
Kumatora : Mad? Oh I'm not mad at you, Lucas. I'm dead furious!
Lucas : Uh-oh. (Kumatora grabs him by shirt as he screams)
(sounds of Lucas getting the crap beaten out by Kumatora)
Lucas : (grunting, screaming)
Ness : Sheesh! What a klutz.
(scene changes to a damaged Lucas in a wheelchair, covered in bandages and casts, with a blackened eye)
Lucas : There! Happy now!? I've been daydreaming about freed food or free cake, but lucky me, I had to take one bite on someone's butt, and then this is what I get for free! Do you have any idea what it's like to be a depressed kid in a GBA title stuck in Japan? Living in that shadow sucks and never got all the fame and glory in America! Also, don't tell the public about this. I mean no harm to them.
Ness : Any idea of thinking about fast food, if you think you want to go to a burger joint in Phoenix Arizona, consider yourself unlucky to have you remind that...I've been eating a lot of healthy stuff that stays lean on the lean green side.
Lucas : Well, in that case, I'll go find something else to have my appetite. I wonder if there's something cooking around here to see some cakes?
SSBU Zelda : (cooling off) Phew! Man it's sure hot as it is, but my body can't stand this heated battle any longer. Anyways, I really need to put on sunscreen for this. (pulls dress to unveil her hitbox that is now huge)
Ness : Uhh, Lucas. I think that hitbox is nothing cheaper, then anyone's hitboxes, no joke intended.
Lucas : (twitches) Cake...Must have...Cake.
Ness : Lucas? Oh no...Not again.
Lucas : (twitches, crazed) Cake...Cake...Cake...(he then explodes as he goes crazy) FREE CAKE! (He laughs hysterically as runs off to Zelda)
Ness : Oh boy.
Lucas : (crazed) I NEED SOME OF THAT TASTY GOODNESS. THE WINNER TAKES THE CAKE AT LAST! THIS TIME! IT'S GOING TO BE BON APPETIT! THE CAKE IS A NEVER A LIE!
*Chomp*
SSBU Zelda : (yells in pain) AAAH! MY HITBOX!
Ness : Oh sh*t. Here we go again.

so! various nexuses. nexii???? whatever. various people named nexus I have some song lyrics that will become a prophecy for you whether you like it or not okay? okay! lets go!
[Magolor]
What have I done?
Oh, ancients, what have I done?
Is this the prize I received For betraying them?
Their hospitality Was met with my treachery
They didn't deserve such deceit...
Oh, everyone! I should've had a second thought
And heeded how my doubt had wrought
The seeds of hesitation Was this power worth the pain
That I had laid upon my friends?
The flaying of my mind?
The ends don't justify the means, And now a darkness births!
In a fool who had sought in greed to rule the universe!
This fell power has me under its control
Oh, why did I seek its hand?
Now I dangle from the strings to fuel its goal
A vessel infested To spread shadows through all the land!
In darkness, consciousness confined, I'm unaware of space and time
A prison built within my mind to feed the Crown's true aim
My cries are silenced in the void
A puppet, now merely a toy
Existence soon will be destroyed, And I'm the one to blame...
From the veil, a friend returns from the night
Struggle on, our fates rest on this fight
Set the sun on this coronation!
Stop the dark and devastation!
My body forfeit, and my soul is forced to see
I beg of you, Kirby!
Slay the Hell of my own creation,
And clear the floor for liberation!
I am tainted by error
This terror should not come to be!
I neither deserve forgiveness,
Nor your mercy and your kindness...
My fate is sealed, So, strike me with the blade you wield!
My control of my soul is slipping,
Oh, Kirby, you must never yield!
You must save your homeland, And be it's shield!
I can sense my conscious mind start to succumb
And the feeling in my body start to numb
Please... If you make it out, I want you to know I am so very sorry...
I only pray the courage deep in your heart Is enough to save the universe from me...
Help me...
Kirby...
Help...
[Mistiltienn]
Struggle as he might, There was no escape from the truth.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
And now the universe shall meet its reckoning.
Gaze and despair, Say your last pitiful prayer
For now a matter most dark Engulfs all that breathes
I rule your hand
Your blood is mine to command
The stains you marked on the land
Shall make sure you're seen as but a pawn to my true aim
The one whose soul is mine to claim
The world will never be the same
As now the darkness shall reign
Your purpose has been served
And you've received what you deserved:
And endless sleep as all things burn.
You brought about all this pain
Now rest in torment as a world's anathema rains
You are nothing but a shell to be consumed
Stay down, stay asleep, never wake
Fool who dared to rouse the universe's doom,
Bear witness your lust for control
As the world you love breaks!
In darkness, consciousness confined
Be sentenced for your callous lies
Fall silent as your struggle dies
And let the darkness rise
No words, no feeling in the void
Dance for me, puppet, dance my toy
You've done your part, you've made your ploy
Forever close your eyes In your sleep, you dream a dream of regret
I shall grant no penance, though you repent
Still your will dares to stand defiant,
You refuse to lay compliant
Oh, such trust you put into that wretched child
Ungrateful and vile
Very well, you shall now bear witness
As I crush the light's resistance
With a prayer unanswered,
Your name shall be cursed and reviled.
[Magolor]
No! I neither deserve forgiveness nor his mercy and his kindness
But he's good
And kind
With naught but love and trust in his mind!
My control of my soul has faded,
So Kirby, you must stand and fight!
You must save our universe!
Oh, you're our light!
Though the Crown's corruption grips it's every heir,
My mistakes should not be your burden to bear
Dreams for me, theme parks, games,
And romps in the sun
For when you end this nightmare
Break through the darkness bearing down on my soul
And when you join the sky, Maybe I'll be there...
MS Nexus: Thanks for wasting my time.
Firewall’s Malware Nexus: I doubt I’ll end up like that.

Okay so did anyone else think that the Scream 6 trailer is really setting up a past killer comeback? Like the room, the “I’m not like the other Ghostface.” even Gale brings up how the killers are not dead unless you shot them in the head rule. So these are my 3 theories (fan fiction) as to who the killers could be:
First up and let's face the most obvious person is Stu Macher, never shot in the head, (only crushed by a tv) forgotten by time he builds the room of memorabilia of not only his crimes but everyone else crimes and with each new killer he sees issues with their style, with their motive, with their kills. He finds them all unworthy of the Ghostface name, so he decides to take matters into his own hands to remind the world of his name and what a true Ghostface should be. It's clear Radio Silence knows their shit when it comes to Scream, so they know about the original script for Scream 3 both The cult of Ghostface stuff and Stu's role in that. Mainly the memorabilia room really gives off cult vibes, hell Gale calls it a shrine.  Only one Ghostface robe is behind glass, I think this could be Billy’s robe since Stu would likely view Billy as the only other person worthy of the Ghostface name. This also explains both going after Gale and the obsession with Sam. Stu would want Gale dead before Sidney since in Scream the whole reason Sidney gets away and overpowers them is because they were distracted by Gale, so Stu wants her dead early so she can’t mess with his plans again. He is obsessed with Sam because she is Billy's daughter and Stu may believe that because of this not only can he feel connected to Billy again but he could mentor her into being a great killer like her father. He’s not like the other Ghostface because he’s the original that has outlived all the other killers and is willing to do anything to keep it that way.
Next up we have Jill Roberts, never shot in the head (only near the heart but she was in a hospital and could have gotten the medical help needed very quickly) If she lived maybe everyone decided to keep that fact quiet since she wanted a fanbase and being a killer would give her that fanbase in a messed up way. The memorabilia room is filled with things from both killers and victims, Jill collected these things since she views herself as a victim (Forced to live in Sidney's shadow and the fact in Scream 4 she planned on being the new final girl) and the killer. Jill sets up her cult of Ghostface to act as the fanbase she wanted in 4. Plus the Ghostface we mostly see in the trailer seems to be very violent in a way very much like Jill in 4 mainly when she was setting up the crime scene. Plus Kirby’s back and it's a nice through-the-line. She is not like the other Ghostface since she got fans that are willing to do anything to prove their love for her.
Last but not least we have Angelina Tyler now I know what you're thinking, she was never a Ghostface however hear me out. At some point in Scream 3 production Angelina was planned to be one of the killers, along with this in the film while we see her get stabbed but at that point, Roman had already faked his death and maybe Angelina wasn’t the monologue type and was willing to watch from the shadows. She is also missing from the Trilogy boxset death toll thing and while that is likely a mistake I could see Radio Silence using this as a jumping-off point. Angelina’s memorabilia room represents everyone else failings both victims and killers, to her it's a point of pride that she got away with it. Unlike Roman, she has no real connection to Sidney in fact she spent so long studying other killers that she believes Sidney is the reason they all fail. So she goes after everyone else explaining why Sidney isn’t in the movie. She wants to prove herself as a killer hence why Ghostface is far more violent this time. She is after Sam so she can pin all the kills on her, so she can once again seem like the victim. She’s not like the other Ghostface since she’s the only one that got away with her crimes and lived to tell her story and she plans to keep it that way.
But hey that's just a theory a film theory, thanks for reading and let me know what you think :)

Three in One Post
For my P-Pal’s memory of the Convention
That looks cool that his friend from his country who is also a good friend to me as well, manage to go to the Gundam Expo Convention. And Speaking of Expo Convention, I’m going to one as well. In 2 Weeks, I’m going to a Game on Expo Convention since I already went last time. What I was destined to do is I’ll be dressing up as a character and since I have enough money, I was gonna do a selfie with anybody that is coming to the convention. Which I bet it will be fun if Shadow and Lisa would like to go to the convention together. Especially when they bring Spot, Riya, Vanilla and Maxwell with.
And for my P-Pal’s Memory of Windows XP
Well I’m not a huge fan of XP when I remember their startup and shutdown sound drives me crazy, even during the middle of the night. But I kinda had nostalgia when I enjoyed playing some classic games like Pinball and Solitaire. But I still do play Solitaire since it does help with my anxiety and just put me at ease. Besides other puzzle games I played. And even with their Microsoft Paint which is different compared to Modern Microsoft Paint, which I don’t use often since I do enjoy using new Drawing apps, and I can still use Microsoft Paint if I were to do a Collaboration or to edit some of my photos. But I do like the wallpaper since Kirby Superstar is a really good game. I have played Ultra before like when my sister and I rented that game from Blockbuster. Man I miss that store so much! But I also played the original Kirby Superstar on Super Nintendo on one of the modern systems like Wii U and Switch.
And for my A-Pal’s on this day pic.
Yeah I remember that pic before. Especially since I am good friends with Krystal, but I haven’t seen her that much. But I never like being bullied at school either. Especially I never like getting abused or falsely accused by my teachers. Because School is like Hell to me. And that’s why I don’t need education, because I got Pac-man Fever. Which I play video games a lot. And every time one of the teachers yell “Excuse me”, then I would’ve talked back by being Link going “Well Excuse me, Teacher!” But I hope we won’t fall into that kind of trauma ever again. Especially if we try our best to move on and get over it.

Infiltrating the castle!
▪︎Prologue.
▪︎Chapter 1: Stay in line!
▪︎Chapter 2: Inside the Castle(s)!
"You're going to do WHAT?!?"
Shadow Sailor shouts from the other side of the floating mirror, immediately covering his mouth afterwards. His eyes darted around the room, carefully scanning if anyone heard him earlier. Apparently, he was hiding behind a pillar in Carrot Castle.
"I'm going to infiltrate the castle."
"Yeah yeah I heard you! *Sigh*…..guess we're both doing the same thing, heh. "
"Indeed." The knight shifted the mirror towards Castle Dedede in order to provide Shadow Sailor a clear view of the building.
"Usually, the waddle dees here should have the exact same routine as our dees. Just mirrored. But…..holy shit, they're all busy fighting! You have it easy, boss! And here I thought Dreamland should be much tamer than our land!"
"Mm….."
What the hell happened while he was gone? The castle was just peaceful a few minutes ago, how did its entrance turn into a battlefield? Nonetheless, this was a perfect chance to sneak in.
"Wait, boss! You don't have a disguise, how are you going to blend in with the people in there? I don't think your worn out bowtie will work for this occasion…"
"I'll figure something out. From what I've seen, there are multiple guests throughout the entire galaxy, therefore most of them will be unfamiliar with each other."
"So if you knock one of 'em out and steal their outfit, nobody would bat an eye!"
"Mm." He nodded at Sailor. "I'll be on my way, good luck."
"Awwww geez, you never wish me good luck. It must be the end of the world!"
A chuckle escapes from Sailor, accidentally alerting one of the guards nearby.
"Who's there?!?"
"OH FUCK-"
The mirror immediately disappears, leaving the dark knight to his own thoughts as to how Shadow Sailor Dee's fate was going to play out. He lets out a tired sigh, mumbling under his breath. The castle's layout shouldn't be too hard to figure out, he just needed a safe route to scale the towers in order to reach the rounded balcony undetected. It shouldn't be too hard for him, as blending in the shadows was his specialty. Now fully prepared, Dark Meta Knight retreats into a mirror and changes locations. Once he reaches a suitable spot, his cape swiftly transforms and allows him to take flight.
Meanwhile, in the castle..
"Kirby's taking so long, I hope nothing happened to him…."
"Ahh don't worry about it Ado, He's fiinnnnee. It's Kirby! He'll find Gooey in no time!"
Adeleine, the talented young artist and her fairy companion, Ribbon, stand in the corridors of Castle Dedede. They seem to have traveled back to Popstar in order to spend time with their old friends! Speaking of which, here comes one of them now!
"Look! It's Waddle Dee!"
"I think they're called "Parasol" now. Parasol dee!"
A waddle dee with a red and white parasol strapped on its back comes running towards them, panting heavily.
"Adeleine! Ribbon! Have you two seen the king?! It's an emergency!!"
The two go wide eyed and stare at each other for a few seconds before turning back to the waddle dee
"No…we've been here the entire time, we haven't met King Dedede yet.."
"Why? What happened?!" said Ribbon as she curiously tilts her head.
"Turns out we couldn't accept more people, and the ones we rejected are now literally rioting at the entrance! Luckily Bandana's squad is holding them off pretty well with Kirby's help.."
"What a bunch of jerks…I can't believe they'd attack you guys! Let's go find Triple D immediately!"
"You're right Ribbon, let's go!"
The trio run off, accidentally shoving a few guests along the way. They pass through multiple levels, parkouring from staircase to staircase. Despite it being a fancy castle, Castle Dedede's layout was really strange sometimes. There were even places that required Ribbon to lift Adeleine to reach. But alas, they still made it to the throne room, where the people mostly gathered. Grand decorations and lights sparkle around the area, giving the room a festive spirit. Champagne and orange juice were served in fancy glasses to the guests by waddle dees in tiny black bow ties wearing shirt cuffs.  Pompous laughs echoed throughout the party, along with various chatter. In contrast, Dreamland's inhabitants were having fun playing childish games while eating Necromas treats, acting much more ill-mannered compared to the more higher class visitors. In the middle of it all, King Dedede stands high in front of his throne, looking down upon his glamorous party.
"GYAHAHAHA! This year's Necromas party is MUCH better than the ones we've had! Ain't that right Meta Knight?! ……Meta Knight?" The blue penguin turns around to his side, where Meta Knight usually is. But the king was shocked to see Sailor Dee instead. Realizing this, he takes a step back and aggressively starts pointing at the waddle dee.
"GAH! What the hell are you doing here Sailor?!? Where's Meta Knight?!?-"
In response, Sailor salutes to King Dedede's direction with a big smile despite having no mouth.
"Meta Knight asked me to fill in, your majesty!"
Then, Sailor takes a swig off his eggnog. But it tastes rather...odd. He raises a suspecting brow at the drink.
"He said that there was something urgent he had to attend to. So I'm holding this spot for him. Also is this non-alcoholic by any chance? "
"Hmph, I see. He'll be missin' out on this awesome party! What could possibly be more important than Necromas?! I'll go down and greet the guests in the meantime. They must be excited ta see me!! Why else would these guests from faraway stars travel to Popstar?! I oughta thank the dees at Channel PPP for spreading word of my awesomeness!"
"Yeah sure, knock yourself out, your majesty!"
"MY KING!!!!" "KING DEDEDE!!!" "TRIPLE DEEEE!!!"
"WHO SAID THAT?!"
Familiar voices rang out from the crowd as three individuals pushed and shoveled their way to the throne.
"Wait, why are we doing this?! We can FLY!" Ribbon remarks as she immediately yanks Adeleine up, giving her no warning beforehand.
"WOAH! Tell me when you're gonna do that next time!"
"Up and up we go!"
Parasol leaps up into the air and soars through the spacious room with the other two, making their way to King Dedede in no time. Recognizing who they were, the penguin's eyes lit up. He happily calls for them, waving at the trio.
"Well well well! If it isn't the kid and her fairy! You two must be so happy to see me! And Parasol too? What are you doing here?!"
"It's awful, my king!"
They frantically explain the situation to him just enough for the king to understand the situation.
"WHAT?! How DARE they attack MY castle! Those bastards-!!" The king angrily balled up his fist, clenching his teeth. This was a huge insult to King Dedede and shouldn't go unpunished! However….
"Eh, Kirby's out there, we should be fine!"
"W-what?"
"Listen, that pink puffball is gonna be here any second! We have nothing to worry about, so just enjoy yourselves!" He lets out a roaring laughter while patting Parasol's back, which slightly unsettles the waddle dee.
"But your majesty!-"
"HAVE FUN, THAT'S AN ORDER!" King Dedede proudly shouts as he wraps his arms around Adeleine and Ribbon as they go down. Adeleine was still uneasy, but Ribbon shrugs at her and reassures that Kirby'll have it under control. Probably! For now, they've got a lot to catch up to with their giant bird friend.
Parasol watches the three descend from the stairs while Sailor strides to their side.
"Heh." Somehow, he managed to give Parasol a mocking smile as they hesitantly sip their eggnog.
 "Oh shut up, Sailor…"
"It's no use reasoning with the king, he's waaaay happy to care about anything right now. Probably cuz of the sheer amount of people here, holy shit!"
"Sailor!
"Whaaaaat? Can't you handle a little crass? Fancy paaaants?"
"I'm just worried about Bandana…can they handle it-? YIPES!"
"FUCK-!"
Out of nowhere, a sharp bladed boomerang comes flying at the dees. Luckily, the two managed to dodge it in time thanks to their quick reflexes. It hit the red carpet, leaving a clean cut in it.
"Apologies! Parasol Dee and Sailor Dee!"
"GAH LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE KIBBLE! King Dedede's going to be so mad at you!"
"Burning Leo! May I remind you that it was YOUR decision to play skip rope with my boomerang as a substitute?!"
"Hah! Excuses! You still went along with it and you were pretty hyped for the challenge too, clanky!"
"Leo-!!!!"
"YOU ALMOST HIT MY FACE!"
"Oh of course you would worry about that, Parasol! Hah!"
"Sailor…what are you implying….?" The waddle dee's eye twitched, they were definitely irritated. Their hand hovers slightly over the handle of the parasol as they lock eyes with the other waddle dee.
"Oh? Wanna GO? YOU WANNA GO? COME AT ME BRO!!" Sailor throws his cup away and instantly assumes a fighter pose, giving Parasol the most mocking look ever.
"Oh you little-"
Meanwhile, at Carrot Castle..
"SHIT!" Exclaimed Shadow Sailor Dee as they run from the speared guards.
"Freeze!"
"You won't get away this time Sailor! The boss wants your head!"
"FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK- GOTTA GET TO THE THRONE ROOM!!" He screams as his stubby legs frantically run as fast as they could. This waddle dee was terrible at stealth…..

Oh. My. God.
DS!Fecto Elfilis vs Kirby:Right Back at Ya!Nightmare.
Here's a horrifying thought: With Nightmare being able to control Demon Beasts, through mind control or other means...and with Scarlet being half Demon Beast...would he be able to control her through the serums going through her veins....and making Elfilis's psychic shields on her mind useless?
…Damn, dude, I might have to go back and rewatch Kirby: Right Back at Ya! Now this would be one heck of an idea that I’ve gotta run by @blazing-shadows!
I’m not sure how this would go down, but I do know one thing: with how OP Fecto Elfilis is in this universe, he’d make hell a paradise for Nightmare once he’s through with him.
Thanks for the question!

POSITRON PUDDLES UST DISK 1: TENNA STUDIOS SOUNDTRACK
All of the following are just names. no actual music has been made.
Kris, where the hell are we?
Set of Dust and Dunes (The semi-abandoned “Sherrif Pine” set. Acts as the starting area of the chapter)
Sherrif (what one would expect to be a theme of a recurring character. However they are immediately launched off stage by what looks to be an off-brand power ranger)
Undyne (Undyne’s overworld theme. They are the off-brand power ranger)
Rider of Justice (Undyne’s battle theme. Oh it looks like it was a kamen rider reference not power rangers.)
Into the sunset (a post battle theme after undyne accidentally gets blown away by a barrel of dynamite.)
DON’T ADJUST YOUR SET (Tenna intro theme)
Troublesome Tenna (Tenna Overworld theme)
Cathode’s Crew (The Shadowmen’s theme)
Obvioustrap.oog (a stinger that plays when Susie falls for an obvious moss-based trap)
Getting Back Up (Toriel’s theme. Because after you have fallen down, you have to get back up.)
Green room (… Listen what do you expect me to say its GREEN ROOM we ALL know what green room is)
Sheen’s Shop (a shop theme for the green room shop run by a familiar dinosaur)
Tenna Studios Plaza (the “hub world” of this chapter. A spire of wood and metal is in the distance, surrounding the dark fountain. You are filled with the power of family and fluffy boys.)
Mountain King Overture (A rearrangement of “in the hall of the mountain king” that plays in the first part of the “Mountain King” Set. Similar in tone to bergentrükung)
YOUR HOST, GRENDEL GNOMOID (The overworld theme for the main antagonist of the “Mountain King” set: A deranged game show host who is an old garden gnome that Asgore left behind by accident.)
Set of Gardens and Games (Another rearrangement of “In the hall of the Mountain King”, but more upbeat and similar in tone to “It’s Showtime”)
SUSIEZILLA (after being shrunk down by magic liquid, you face off against Susie, who was just told this was a monster movie set)
We used to have a stealth section, but it sucked so here are minigames (A sped up 8-bit version of “Sneaking” that plays in what was very clearly meant to be a stealth section that is now an arcade where each minigame you beat gives part of a key that opens the door to the next room)
THEY OPENED THE DOOR, KNOCK THEIR SOCKS OFF BOYS! (A chase variant of Cathode’s Crew that plays after you unlock the arcade door and run to the next section)
HeroesReunited.oog (A quick jingle that plays after you finally meet back up with susie.)
SPIN THAT WHEEL (you are given a chance to win, and that chance is spinning that wheel)
SetComplete.oog (a jingle that plays when you beat a set)
Green Room Movement (So the green room acts like the willy Wonka elevator, did I mention that?)
Set of Sales and Shadows (the theme of the shopping network set, where the gimmick is there is no gimmick)
Cornered! (the theme that plays when the Cathode crew attacks during the end section of the shopping network set)
A Grim Grinning Ghoul (Kreepy’s Introduction theme. After beating two of the sets, if you have the shadow crystals from Jevil and Spamton, You can see them standing behind a rusted gate)
Set of Cosmos and Calamity (The theme of the space set, which you must go through with Susie. Keep the audience happy.)
Cosmic Commander Roulx (Oh shit he’s back. he’s gonna be in every chapter, isn’t he?)
INTRUDER ALERT (Plays when the Cathode Crew board the ship)
Set of Baking and Brutality (the theme of the cooking set, which forces you to bring along toriel. Hope they like snail pie)
Well, there’s your problem: too many snails! (plays when the Cathode crew somehow gets the snails to revolt)
Crew Crusher (the slowed down rude buster, plays when you FINALLY actually fight the Cathode Crew)
GRAB AND DASH, BOYS! (a VERY sped up rude buster that plays when Toriel gets kidnapped after beating the final set.)
Mansionkeyget.oog (a jingle that sounds similar to the Kirby 1-up jingle that plays when you obtain the mansion key the Cathode Crew dropped when kidnapping Toriel. They only seem to drop it if you have encountered Kreepy before.)
Off the Beaten path (a distant sounding version of Tenna Studios Plaza. Plays on the path towards the House of Happy Haunts.)
It’ll Come right back to Ya! (the “overworld theme” of Kreepy K. Rawly. You never exactly see them unobscured until the fight however)
House of Happy Haunts (A song that one would expect to play in a funhouse. While upbeat, something about it just sounds… off. It uses the Dialtone/circus motif)
Mirror Mania (A chase theme that plays in the Hall of Mirrors when a distorted reflection chases you)
The one who pulls the strings makes It ring (the song that plays just before Kreepy’s fight when you accidentally destroy the shadow mantle)
HAUNTED BY YOUR PAST (Kreepy K. Rawley’s battle theme. Has a variant that plays whenever TAL is on the field)
Exorcised by your future (Kreepy K. Rawley’s post fight theme.)
Tenna Towers (The castle theme of the chapter)
Tenna Talk {starring tenna} (a talk show section)
THE RIDER OF JUSTICE RIDES AGAIN! (a pre-undyne rematch theme)
BUT WITH A GUN THIS TIME! (Undyne rematch theme)
Should have been more careful with that thing (Didn’t she know she could shoot an eye out with that?)
Freedom Fountain (An ambient theme that plays right before Tenna’s final fight)
FRIDAY NIGHT DEATH SLOT (The Chaos King/attack of the killer queen equivalent)
Fade to Light (the theme that plays when everybody wakes up)
My Funky Town (it’s My Funky Town.)
Crystal Corner (Where all the secret bosses hang out after you beat/spare them!)
A Weird Deal (Do you really want to take it? Only plays if you have done snowgrave in the same save file)
Chap4Weirdrouteunlock.oog (…You took the deal. You monster.)
The edge is getting thinner (The end chapter theme. Credits do not roll after this chapter).
