Did a study focusing on shading and pose. I also just really wanted to draw Gwen. 💙🖤

I also originally gave her past-the-thigh boots but was then faced with the dilemma: "how do past-the-thigh boots crease?" So I changed the boots to be more accurate to her canon design. They originally used to be the length of her socks in this drawing.

I'm really happy with how this turned out actually, but the background makes me crack up.

I got some shading advice from my gf and I tried it with who the fuck else but Analog Ragatha :D (This AU's been on my mind a lot and I'm not apologizing for it)

A study I did focused only on values. Trying to get better at coloring and shading.

Doing some studies to help my art get better, here's what I got from today. Admittedly I have a lot to improve on, but I think this is a nice start :)

I keep seeing secular redraws of religious art with fandom characters or OCs and I wanted to try it myself. So here is a picture of who I am pretty sure is the Virgin Mary I saw in a used goods store redrawn as my OC Evithyan.

And we have another one! This time in watercolour! Because... I wanted to paint stuff. Also, Yuu Shina’s style of shading really lends itself to watercolour. 

This is one of my favourite book illustrations too, (Myne’s ‘Star Eyes’ are hilarious-) and I figured if I’m gonna bother spending this long on copying one of the official book illustrations, it might as well be funny.
