ok i let it sit for a second and i think the reason why niki's joke kind of rubbed me the wrong way is because of what qt said at the end of the show about how there's so much negativity and horrible stuff in the streaming space but the award show is supposed to be a night of positivity.

I don't really care about the actual joke, niki can say what she wants who gives a shit, but why would she bring up the guy who wasn't there and wasn't nominated instead of solely celebrating the super talented nominees? Why would you want to remind everyone about how toxic and awful the minecraft streaming space is instead of highlighting all the good that comes out of it?
