what’s crazy about if Wally went evil is that, if he really wanted to, he could canonically just sever everyone else’s Speed Force connections and they wouldn’t be able to do shit

it was even the plot of the (extremely stupid) Future State Flash comic where Wally got possessed & the Flash Fam couldn’t do anything, because a) Wally is the Speed Force’s favorite and his connection can’t be severed by anyone (even himself, last time he tried getting rid of his own basically everyone else lost theirs for a bit) b) he can literally just stare at you and steal your speed and c) he’s the fastest with the weirdest abilities

Barry’s the second fastest and the only one who MAY be able to catch up and talk some sense into Wally, but:

this was a recurring thing in Rebirth lmao. Barry claiming “yeah, i’ll stop you or chase you if i have to” and Wally just saying “no.”

also a personal favorite unhinged Wally moment:

this isn’t even an empty threat. or, it’s empty as far as Wally caring about Barry to much to do it if there’s literally any other choice, but as far as actual capabilities? it is WELL within Wally’s power to take away Barry’s speed

Future State is a TERRIBLE Wally story, but the part where he literally just severs everyone else’s Speed Force connection and leaves himself as the only one who can use the Speed Force is 100% possible. meanwhile, the only way to get rid of Wally’s powers would be to get rid of the Speed Force itself. the power balance of Speed Force users is unbalanced in Wally’s favor to the most extreme degree possible

i’m pretty sure the only two people with Speed Force connections that could maybe stop, or at least resist being being depowered by, Wally if it came down to it are Jai and Irey, which is a moot point because he wouldn’t go insane as long as they’re around anyways.

addition i thought of while writing out the tags but would be too much to include in the tags:

in the recent series, Jai even described every Speed Force connection as being “focused, intensified, tangled” through Wally. at this point, i’m not even sure the Speed Force could function without Wally’s existence.

Barry may have created the Speed Force, but he loses his connection to it basically every few arcs and Wally is canonically the Speed Force’s special little guy.

The problem with Donna or Dick from the Titans going villain is that they could drag the other into it and the New Teen Titans cast.

If Donna and Dick could convince each other then you have a collection of Justice League members and affiliates about to take over the world.

The first person in line to stop Nightwing is going to be Batman and the Titans dislike him because he was a jerk to Dick when he was a teenager. Donna once told Dick to take a headshot and he did it and thought about it later.

Wally deserves his place in the running because of how much damage both Zooms have done and because the person who would have to stop him (Barry) would be emotionally compromised and Wally tends to be faster then him.

just saw ur yj post and i have so many thoughts on it!! i always think that after bruce comes back, dick should’ve gone back to new york like that man cannot coexist with bruce wayne in gotham and i hate new 52 for bringing back bludhaven because i love the idea of a bludhaven that was used as a base for world ending events like final crisis and it’s just a shitshow- like this was dick’s city and he gave so much of himself to it but it’s just a radioactive wasteland now. and i don’t think dick could’ve/should’ve gone back. and to be honest i think dick should’ve dragged tim with him because as much as i adore the idea of tim with yj in sf i think of yj and titans as very different in terms of their sidekick experiences- like yj was more of the latchkey generation despite the attempts to oversee them from introducing authority figures in the form of red tornado their parents etc- and i just think at that point dick might be able to see his brother’s suicidal ideation and see the ways in which tim thinks he’s expendable except to the mission and he grabs his brother and tells him ok time for u to go college and rmb what it’s like to be an actual person outside of ur isolationist red robin business!!!

describing them as latchkey kids is very accurate! it’s what makes them such an interesting point of comparison as the next generation after the original titans who really had to advocate for their independence. i also agree that bludhaven should stay a crater — it was so important to dicks development as a character and for the universe as a whole!

i kinda oscillate back and forth between tim being in san francisco and new york, but i do think that in the short term he should be out of gotham and away from bruce. partially because it’ll help his relationships with damian and steph but also because like u said — dick grayson would look at how tim is actively transforming himself into bruce and hating himself for doing it and be like ok…. we’ve gotta enrol u in some arts courses to get ur head back on straight.

maybe he spends a year on the west coast then moves back to study at hudson, idk. there’s this period ive found as ive entered adulthood where u rediscover all ur friends? like they’re the same but not. u have to relearn about urself and them, and i think cassie and tim having the connection of knowing what the world is like when kon and bart have died, and kon and bart fundamentally not understanding what that was like would inspire serious character growth. idk. the idea of growing up is scary when u die as a teenager. it’s hard to care about urself when you’ve already met ur end, yknow?

hey, feast your eyes on the infamous fridge-locker scene from the strangetown storytelling images... now 2023-ified! 😄

this is @syboubou's high school corridor set's buy mode, converted for ts2! i did not convert the 2, 3, and 4-tile lockers because the one-tile locker seemed sufficient enough. please read the 'things to note' section below the cut before bringing up any issues 😊

the speaker is cloned from the base game floor radio (the clone of the wall speaker wouldn't work, oh my god, i spent hours irl actually working on this damn speaker) so the music effects when it's turned on appear on the ground. you can get this mod by cyjon so the effects don't show at all

the wall clock isn't functional, only decorative :( i tried my best
