Summary: The Salem Seven have found Agatha. Leading you all to run for the next trial. Where messages from the past clear the mist just a bit while another darkening rises. [Witches road series]
Tumblr media
Through many miles of tricks and trials, we'll wander high and low
A fox stood with its front paws on a log. Darting off behind a tree. A crow cawed loud, flapping its wings. The fox reappeared darting from one place to the other. Crossing a snake. Slithering through the leaves. Curling and spasming into a little ball. The snake enlarging as two arms slithered out of it’s skin. A snake shedding their skin. The crow came landing down to where the snake was, cawing loud .
The hand reached out to grip onto the crows neck. It screeched loud before its neck grew thicker. Feathers settling with skin. The snake that had shed it’s skin had fully turned to a human form. The crow’s legs stretching as feet appeared down below.
With a simple gesture they removed the hand from around their throat, taking a deep gasp. They shared a look before others came joining. Seven in total. Salem’s seven. Their demands carried off by the wind. Howling like a banshee’s cry into the night. Agatha Harkness.
Agatha Harkness. Teen shot up with shock as the gush of wind had overwhelmed his senses. Frantically he looked to his side, seeing you already sat up. Listening to the winds whispers as well. A glance in return from you, made him fear the worst. Agatha Harkness. The wind whispered making the others shoot awake. – “What’s that?” – Jen asked. Lilia shuddered out a breath. – “The Salem seven.” – she replied keeping a hand on her chest.
“Long black coated figures?” – Teen asked to specify. Lilia nodded. Agatha chuckled a bit nervously at their arrival. – “We didn’t close the door. We’ve brought them here.” – Lilia explained. Agatha Harkness. Sending chills down your spine. – “We’ve got to run!” – Agatha shouted already taking her leave. All of you started to run after her.
Following the path with the hunt going on. Through a narrower path came Agatha to a stop. Panic written all over her face as she heard them in front of her. – “That came from in front of us.” – Alice said. Lilia and Jen had already turned to run the other direction when it appeared their presence alerted them too.
“They are at the back too.” – Alice pitched in. Feeling them close in. Salem seven all around you. Salem’s seven on the witches road. They were there when the door opened and they’d be here when you’d die. – “How do we get out of here?” – Teen asked. You looked up sensing them in the winds.
Knowing they’ve come to claim your souls. Knowing you’d be dead before you’d reach the end if you staid. You pushed Jen a bit aside to reach the other side. Pulling at the thick roots. – “We go old style.” – you said. – “No!” – Lilia immediately protested. Teen curled up a smile, finding it exciting.
“What do you have against brooms?” – he asked ripping off a root as well to claim as a broom for Agatha. – “They are culturally forced upon us. Reflecting domestics on us.” – Lilia responded. – “And they are simple.” – Jen finished taking her broom.
Agatha eyed you making you face her. Holding your broom out, you and her started to circle each other. Speaking in tongue to finish the ritual. Then you handed each other’s broom out for the other. Agatha taking yours as her fingers brushed against yours. Making her flash her gaze teasingly at you.
You took her broom over, staring at the root. Hearing the faint of your own past screams in your ears. Agatha who already sat on her broom, shouted at you. – “Y/n! On!” – You snapped awake, getting on your broom. Holding tight to the root, you flew up. Letting the wind carry you. It felt like eternity since you had flown and it felt liberating.
The entire coven flying after each other. – “Salem Seven!” – you shouted loud to alarm them that they were coming from down below. – “Higher!” – Agatha yelled back, leading her broom up. Everyone followed. Higher and higher you went.
A blood moon rising from over the tree tops. The witches road down below. High and high you went. Up to the top. Better look below. The road increasingly coming closer. Tumbling and soaring in the air. The road pulling you down once more. There was no escaping the path. Chained and shackled to the road. Down, down the brooms went. Spinning and tumbling in a flash to reach the grounds fast.
Feet touching the ground, you stumbled forwards. Broom behind as you tumbled further till you bumped against a fallen Teen. Both looked briefly at each other before helping him up. As a cry for help, the next trial. Never had you all ran so invitingly over to it. Embracing it and nestle in it’s warmth for protection. With a glance at the door, you got shoved inside. A change of wardrobe to fit a slumber party at summer camp.
“Who’s trial is this?” – Teen questioned. Always coming up with the right questions. – “Agatha’s.” – you responded looking her way. Agatha looked uncomfortably back at you. – “Who says that?” – she responded, masking her fears with loud cackling. Tilting your head, you knew just how much of that was a lie. Swallowing nervously, she distanced herself from the coven.
The others set out to find the first instructions. You kept your gaze on Agatha, seeing how nervous she was. Agatha seemed to have picked up your glance. Clearing her throat before looking away. Knowing there was little she could hide from you. Teen pulled out an Ouija board. Setting off a timer on your watches. 30 minutes. 30 minutes was all you had. He read the rules as all of you came closer.
Tick tick tock, the time was ticking. You came sitting down with them, moving your fingers over the pedal. As Agatha was initiating the session, you weren’t sure what devils game she was playing. Mrs. Hart name got spelled out. Lilia’s hand got pulled back out of shock. Agatha moved back, changing her expression.
Taken over by Mrs. Hart… or so it seemed. Quirking your eyebrow up, you felt a sense of devilish game. This was no way near funny. Teen called her out on it as everything went serious once more. This time you felt for real. A shift in the atmosphere. A presence nearing down to join the living. Called back from behind the veil of lingering death to have one last chance to speak.
Hands moving as the pedal moved over the board. Spelling letter after letting as it all became clear. Agatha calling it to stop as it was spelling her name. You glanced her way, keeping an eye on her. – “What do you want with me?” – Agatha asked. The pedal moving once more over the board. P-U-N-I-S-H. Agatha gasped loud, letting go of the board.
“She let go!” – Jen called out. After the words had been called out, changed it the night. – “We must punish Agatha!” – Jen shouted. Agatha crawled back, waving her hand beggingly to not. The others closing in on her.
Lights flickered drawing thy attention away. Agatha gone as it made everyone freak out. – “Agatha?” – Teen called out, flashing his flashlight around. His light went up, lighting up a figure. It made him scream at Agatha’s face. Agatha dropped to the ground. Skin as grey as dried out parchment. – “Agatha stop playing around.” – Jen called out. Agatha’s body twisting and breaking as she crawled backwards over the floor. Straight over to you.
You immediately jumped out of the way. Her face looked up to you, hissing loud at you. Your familiar jumped in front of you, hissing right back at her. Scratching her once across the cheek. Lights flickered hauntingly. Agatha’s figure gone once more. Alice helped you back up by your arm, asking if you were okay. You nodded, joining the others as Agatha stood up stairs.
Her body twitching and spasming as the grey drew away out of her face. She shuddered the feeling off. Mist oozing down the steps till it rose. Rose till it formed out a shape. A spirit. A ghost. You immediately knew who it was before she needed to say her name. Agatha’s mother. Her gaze went over you all till her eyes rested on you. – “You.” – she said with a point. It made everyone look at you. Agatha’s eyes curious with worry.
“You are not supposed to be here.” – she said with a stern glare. Taking a deep breath, you tried to deafen out your past screams. To blink away the scenery of the women. Roots snapping around you. Crawling all the way. – “Mother?” – Agatha spoke confused looking between her and you. Sensing something was off. – “Did… did you?” – Agatha asked for her plea was not heard. – “Go forwards and leave Agatha with me.” – Evanora proclaimed.
“Gladly.” – Jen was the first to speak. – “You can’t leave her here. Not with her mother!” – you made clear with a glare at Jen. Knowing just how awful this woman was. Agatha came rushing down the stairs. – “Please don’t leave me here. I can be good.” – she cried out. Holding her arm out for someone to take it. – “Please I beg you take me with you.” – Agatha was desperate.
Her gaze shifting towards you. – “Y/n…” – she said hand out to you. You rose your hand to take hers. Just before your fingers touched her mother took over once more. – “No!” – Alice called out, shoving you out of the way. Hands out she channelled an orange energy. Hitting Agatha in the chest. Evanora drawn out. Spirit separating from the living.
Agatha felt the power. Moving her hands out the orange swirled with her purple. Spreading out to sniff out the orange. – “No! Agatha stop!” – Teen shouted, seeing what it was doing. It was draining Alice’s powers from her.
Agatha kept drawing her magic. Claiming it as hers. Teen rushed to Alice to pull her away. You joined him, pulling her down. Magic stopped. Alice fell down with  a thud. Sucked dry. In shock you stared down at her. – “She was trying to save her! And you killed her!” – Teen shouted at Agatha. – “I… I didn’t know… I couldn’t stop it…” – Agatha replied shakingly.
“Yes you could!” – Teen responded angrily. He knelt down to Alice. You looked at Agatha with disappointment and fear in your eyes. After all those years, she hadn’t changed. She slipped out. Teen got up, going after her. You still knelt beside her. Letting your fingers brush over her face down to her chest. Eyes closed to sense any life on her. Asking the elements for any sign.
“Agatha!” – Teen shouted loud. Agatha came to a stop. – “So that’s what it means to be a witch? Killing people to serve your own agenda.” – Teen asked. She licked her lips brief, turning her chin up. – “No not for me.” – he finished as Agatha came closer. Smiling wickedly at him.
“You are so just like your mother.” – she teased flicking her finger off his chin. Teen pulled disgusted away from her. Lilia and Jen moving behind him. Agatha turning round to take her leave. Lilia and Jen hurrying after her to not let her leave. Teen’s jaw tensed. Fingers tingling with energy. Lilia and Jen grabbed Agatha by her arms. She needed to be punished for ending Alice.
Teen clenched his expression. Blue energy forming through his fingers like hoops. With a loud cry, he blasted Agatha back. Sending her to a puddle of mud. – “No… no wait.” – Agatha called out. Splashing and crawling her way out. The puddle swallowing her whole. Teen then charged his anger towards Lilia and Jen. Swallowed by the puddle of mud.
Teen curled up a tiny smile. His appearance slightly changed. They should see you in a crown.

Sometimes your ex-wife is the human incarnation of death and she has been chasing you down for centuries only to find that you’ve become broken and left to suffer a terrible fate. So instead of just doing her job and killing you, she plays along with your delusions and desperately needles you to wake up so she can look the woman she loves in the eye as she kills her, only for you to wake up and have zero power to fight back. And hey, did she really wait all this time, anticipating the battle of a lifetime, only for it to end in the blink of an eye, the woman she loves still broken and defenseless? No, no, it isn’t right this way, so she sends you on a road trip with a bunch of desperate witches to gain your powers back. And hey, maybe she should tag along so the minute you get your power back she can finally get the satisfaction she’s been denied for so long. Oh to be Agatha Harkness.

So uh,
Tumblr media
Y'all also heard about the... Y'know?
Tumblr media
Season two claims all over the Internet today?
🤭 Ehehehe
I am overjoyed. I am keeping it collected. I knew Kathryn was bluffing a little about 'retiring' from Agatha and like... I was doing digging on Amazon when there was deals and suspiciously there was merch for pre-order for like April 2025 and July 2025 and I said "hmm... Sounds like a long time to release a product innit?"
But if the claims are true, and they are starting to shoot.. well y'all, this makes everything fall into place fr.

The Ballad of the Witches' Road
Seekest thou the road to all that's foul and fair
Gather sisters fire, water, earth and air
Darkest hour, wake thy power, earthly and divine
Burn and brew with coven true and glory shall be thine
Down, down, down the road
Down the witches' road
Down, down, down the road
Down the witches' road
Down, down, down the road
Down the witches' road
Circle sewn with fate
Unlock thy hidden gate
Marching ever forward
'Neath the wooded shrine
I stray not from the path
I hold death's hand in mine
Primal night, giveth sight
Familiar by thy side
If one be gone, we carry on
Spirit as our guide
Down, down, down the road
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Down, down, down the road (down the witches' road)
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Down, down, down the road (down the witches' road)
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Blood and tears and bone
Maiden, Mother, Crone
The road is wild and wicked
Winding through the wood
Where all that's wrong is right
And all that's bad is good
Through many miles of tricks and trials
We'll wander high and low
Tame your fears, a door appears
The time has come to go
Down, down, down the road (down, down, down, down)
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Down, down, down the road (down the witches' road)
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Down, down, down the road (down the witches' road)
Down the witches' road (down the witches' road)
Follow me, my friend
To glory at the end

Salem Seven will be back, and with some answers
Despite what Jac suggested about Salem Seven being dead, I strongly believe they are important and we will see them again. Their story will not only make a lot of sense, but also tie up quite a few threads - especially the question whether or not Agatha walked the road before.
As explained in episode 5, when Agatha murdered her mother’s coven, she spared their young children. They then became “a feral, hive-minded coven bend on revenge”. Yes, we could easily assume their revenge was for killing their mothers, but I think there is more to it – especially the part on how they became so feral.
We see that there is this maternal/mentor side to Agatha, all the way back to her babysitting the twins in Wandavision. Of course, the kids might have had fathers, but even Kathryn said in her recent interview that the show really doesn’t mention men because witches have been so independent. The theme that a witch needs her coven is strong in the show, so I think it would make sense if Agatha, despite being hurt by her mother and the original witches, still sought to be the head of her own coven.
So whether she took care of the children after the events, or grew up alongside them (she was one of the coven’s kids too, after all), she probably held a prominent role in their lives and used this as an opportunity to manipulate the children so that they became her own coven once they grew up. They probably didn’t even know Agatha was the one who killed their mothers.
Eventually, something made them want to walk the Witches Road. I wonder if it was the death of Nicholas Scratch or maybe something else. But it was enough for them to summon it. I think Rio was in the coven by that time too (my theory she was called to Agatha during her attempted execution, when the witches chanted at her in Latin “Death to unnatural monster”) – which may be why summoning the Witches Road worked. However, it didn’t look like anything like the road we are seeing in the show, because “The road changes for the coven”, reflecting the intentions of the witches that walk it. I would argue there even was a daylight (“our” road is perpetual night because that’s how Billy imagined it, he’s fascinated by the meaning of the moon phases, as seen in his room, spell book and outfit – I think this is also why his tarot card for “what’s missing?” was none other than “The Sun”. I don’t think Billy is knowingly controlling the Road – but we know his intentions are really powerful)
Unfortunately, the Road does not work out for the Salem coven – I think as they go into the first trial, they actually fail it – I would venture a guess it was because Agatha was trying to cut corners as usual. But because Rio was there and she is essentially “a tourist”, she got both her and Agatha out, abandoning the rest of the coven. So the Salem Seven didn’t die but became trapped on the Witches Road because the coven was now incomplete (remember “together or not at all”). That’s what eventually made them so feral and angry at Agatha for all of this.
I think this is exactly why Lilia so pointedly told them in ep.7 “You may not know this about the road, but when you succesfully complete a trial - like I just did - it’s not a good idea to overstay your welcome. Usually, something terrible happens.” I think her message had multiple meanings all at once:
she was telling them they are going to regret pursuing her in her own trial, and
she knew they failed their own trials before, and
a message specifically to Vertigo (cicada) – more on this later.
So then the missing witches become known as this “Salem Seven”, while Agatha perpetuates her half-truth that she survived the Witches Road. And if her intentions for the road really were to bring Nicholas back, that would also explain why she lets people believe that she simply traded her own child for Darkhold. With that lie she can pretend that she had some level of control over the events. But in reality, she failed to save her son because of her own flaws/cowardice and abandoned her own coven in the process.
This brings me back to “our” Witches Road. The Spirit trial has always been a point of contention, particularly because a lot of the trial elements felt inconsistent to the previous one (even to the point where the aspect ratio didn’t change) and the objective of the trial just made no sense. But the road leading to the trial was purple and the blood moon did mean it was a spirit trial (talking to the dead). So in that sense, I think it was Agatha’s trial.
HOWEVER, right before the witches land their broomsticks, Vertigo stands in their way and releases her cicadas onto them. Later on, we see Agatha pulling things out of her hair and I think there must have been cicadas entangled in there. So I believe Vertigo made her way inside. And because technically she was part of Agatha’s coven (just not this coven), the trial was actually hers to pass – that is why the task is to “punish Agatha”. It’s still Agatha’s trial but in that sense where the word “trial” is less about “testing”, but more about “being judged in court”.
Edit as I don't think I made it clear: I believe if Vertigo didn't hijack it, the trial would've been about Agatha communicating with Nicholas and getting her closure that way. Notice how he does appear but only once Alice blasts Evanora
This is also why Agatha doesn’t get her powers at the end of it, even though they passed (and we know they passed because the exit appears and the road colour changes). It was Vertigo who is going to get her wish out of this one – most likely to keep with the theme if imprisoning Agatha on the Road (remember Evanora said “you must finish the witches road without Agatha” – a fitting punishment to someone who did the same to their own coven first).
EDIT: It occurred to me this could have also been a message from Evanora directly to Vertigo - just telling her to finish the road and leave Agatha with her.
That is why I think Lilia meant her message for Vertigo too. I think she probably knows that Vertigo survives (only 5 bodies are impaled at the end, so I think the Owl and Vertigo as cicada escape – this is also shown on the tarot card) and she warns her not to “overstay her welcome” on the Road and leave. I think in the future Vertigo will finally confront Agatha, calling her a coward for leaving them, before trying to imprison her (referenced by Lilia in “when she calls you a coward, hit the deck!”).

Agatha All Along: the Magical Sequel to WandaVision
Tumblr media
So…I’m pretty late to the bandwagon, but I finally got fully through the entire series.
Tumblr media
And I loved it!!!! The lore, the atmosphere, the characters, everything fell perfectly into place. After finally finishing and rewatching the show, it has become my top favorite show along side WandaVision. I'm always a sucker for anything with witches, spells, deities, and other mythological elements. I've been a big fan of the Scarlet Witch, both in the comics and Elizabeth Olsen's stellar performance. But enough praise, let me explain what this show has in store.
Agatha All Along is the sequel series to WandaVision that follows Agatha Harkness, previously trapped in Wanda's spell, on a journey beyond Westview. And onto the Witches Road with a makeshift coven on her side.
With all that out of the way, I will examine the finer details full of spoilers and dramatic twists that are much better if you go into the show blind. Now, Down the Road We Go!!!
Down the Witches Road...
Tumblr media
The Witches Road is the main setting for all the major conflict in the show with a magical MacGuffin playing a role for each of the witches. As they progress, each character fulfills their own desires by overcoming the trials: Jennifer Kale learns to be a witch without her powers, Alice Wu-Gulliver overcomes her family curse, and Lilia Calderu embraces life despite her upcoming death. However, there were hiccups along the way with Sharon Davis's death, Agatha confronting her mother's ghost, and Rio Vidal's reveal as Mistress Death. But the major twist is that... The Witches Road never existed in the first place and Agatha made up the Ballad to lure witches for her to absorb. And Teen, later Billy Maximoff/Kaplan, made it real in a way like Wanda's Hex.
What I could tell was that each trial played a role in a character's journey, magic, and an element they represent: Jennifer as potions and water, Alice as protection and fire, Agatha as spirit, Lilia as divination and air, and Rio/Death as earth. The trials were more or less reflections of the characters in essence like Alice's trial related to music and Agatha's trial was more about what she has become and is. In the end, many of the characters got what they wanted from the road ironically since Agatha only gathered the coven to gain more power for herself.
Witchcraft is a huge staple in this show that embraces the more mysterious and spiritual sides of magic. Making it distinct from Sorcery by the Masters of Mystic Arts which looks more like the Avatar's Bending Arts if anything. It gives us a different way of seeing magic used by actual witches with spells and potions and even riding broomsticks.
Although we don't really know why, I think Agatha's magic draining power is a "mutation" that makes her incapable of creating her own magic and instead steals it from others. We also don't get any clues to how she got the Darkhold, just a rumor about her giving up her son for it. Maybe someone gave it to her and manipulated her into seeking out Wanda by promises of giving her power or resurrecting her son. Those were the only plot holes that kind of bothered me in the end, but aren't important... yet.
One by One We Carry On...
Tumblr media
All the actors portray their characters flawlessly, but I did not expect Agatha to remain the same evil character throughout til the end. I thought they would pull some sort of "Zuko" scenario in a short period. But no, they keep the same but more sympathetic and relatable. Agatha goes from an evil witch killer to a grieving mother who's also a witch killer. Despite falling in love with Death, Agatha still lost her child Nicholas Scratch and still continued building the legend of the Witches Road to pursue more power. While it doesn't justify her actions, we get a bit of an understanding into why she does what she does.
While Billy is a great character, I didn't feel he had those "Epic Epiphany" moments like with Lilia completing the Divination trial and her final showdown with the Salem Seven. I still think he'll go to that point in some other project but he does grow into a stronger character from his experiences.
One of the witches who stood out the most is Lilia Calderu. The strongest episode is Death's Hand In Mine where she takes center stage as the main character. Lilia was characterized in a very strong way where she's definitely not a Mary Sue who wins because it happens. We see how Lilia experiences time randomly and how much she struggles to live with it. She uses her Divination powers to outsmart the Salem Seven in one badass move, but ultimately sacrificing herself while finally reclaiming her power.
The only thing I felt was unnecessary were the Salem Seven. They only play the role as an obstacle rather than a major antagonist like Mistress Death.
Now that we finally know who Rio is, it makes sense with how she drops bread crumbs in her scenes including her arrival on the Witches Road, the Ouija board's message, and even how she talks with Agatha about their history.
The casting and dialogue feels both organic to the actors and technically skilled in how they include previous characters from other shows like Sharon Davis and Ralph Bohner/Randall. All without being forced or contrived, it feels necessary for Westview to become the place where magic goes awry.
With where the series end, I really want to know how they can top or connect this to the next saga.
What Lies Ahead...
Tumblr media
With the overloaded schedule of upcoming MCU projects, sudden hiatuses, and crazy leaks, we can only hope for some definitive answer to how plot holes are filled in. Will we get the resurrected Tommy Maximoff/Shepard meeting White Vision? How did Agatha get the Darkhold before Westview? Is Billy going to become a Young Avenger with his codename Wiccan? And will we get a sorcerers vs witches battle? All completely up in the air and slowly driving fans psychotic with anticipation.
With that said, Agatha All Along is more than enough to keep us satiated with amazing performances, alluring settings and designs, and intriguing witch mythos. I am hoping for more witches and magic being incorporated into the MCU and having writers learn that a character doesn't need to be redeemed into a hero so long as they are compelling to relate to.

Last nights episode was just perfect! We got to see not only the reveal of Rio as Death (called it! 😁) but we also got an amazing trial, great dialogue and some of the connections and ties to the other episodes! It was so late I had to stifle my excitement at Rio’s reveal. I cracked up at the straight answers comment and loved the ex… best friend comment towards Wanda from Agatha too! Ahhh and the trial!? Amazing! Rip Lydia, I loved what she did for her new coven in the end but sad she’s gone. 💛😭

Agatha All Along | S1 E05
*SPOILERS* PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED EPISODE 5 (I BEG)*
I don’t know if I’m trippin or not reading it right, but Joe Locke’s character in Agatha All Along looks like he’s this close to snapping 🤏🏾. He’s been giving them this look from the first two episodes that has me side eyeing him a little. Every time one of the witches says some slick shit to him or brushes him off it’s like he gets this dark look in his eyes. And I’m kinda worried that they’re messing w the wrong one. He look like he don’t play 👀 and he’s done being nice.
Mind you I haven’t read the comics and all of my knowledge of these characters are strictly based on the MCU shows + movies so I don’t really know what to expect. So, I’m pretty sure Joe’s character is supposed to be Wanda’s kid but I’m not 100% sure. Despite the look he gives off, sometimes, I don’t truly believe his intentions are bad even if he is Wanda’s son and he may want revenge on Agatha.
😮Y’ALL I WROTE THIS BEFORE FINISHING THE EPISODE IMMM F’IN SCREAMING!!!!
Okay Okay okay 🫠 okay saw that coming, but not really. Um 😶🙆🏾‍♀️ wow!
So…questions
That’s Wanda’s son, right (you know I just gotta make sure)?
Did Wanda place the sigil on him or did he place it on himself (I’m sure they’ll tell us, but maybe I missed something in the eps 🤷🏾‍♀️)?
Does Agatha actually realize that’s Wanda’s son or was she referring to someone else (cause she seemed surprise he retaliated and the way she said it felt weird)?
Where is Rio (I’m kinda scared she’s gonna sneak up on him)?
Anywho…that was a really good episode! Before watching I was a little sad when I saw it was only 31 minutes, but they did their thing 👏🏾👏🏾
