Why Laundromats Make the Best Investment
There are many places where you can put your money to work. Sometimes it's challenging and even nerve-wracking to decide which one to pick. Why invest in laundromats? It's not surprising that launderettes are the best investment choice. But why should you put your money into a laundry business instead of a franchise, the stock market, or some other type of small business? Okay, let's check this out.
· No downtime
In any season, having clean clothes is a must. Total Solution provider to setup a laundromat in India owner never has to worry about a slow season, unlike those in related businesses like car washes, which may experience slow periods during the winter or fluctuations due to bad weather.
· Profits stay the same with the economy or trends
The fact that people always need to keep their clothes clean also bodes well for the longevity of your company. The ups and downs of the economy and the latest trends won't have nearly as much of an effect on your bottom line as they do in the restaurant and convenience store industries or the stock market.
· You only need a little staff
It isn't easy to find and keep good employees. In addition to the necessary paperwork, time, and training, several other prerequisites exist. Then there's the matter of actually paying them. About half of all launderettes only employ two people, which means less time spent on administrative tasks and more profit for financiers.
· Constant help
Once you put your money into many investments, you're on your own. That is particularly difficult and stressful for first-time business owners and investors. Cost of setting up a laundromat in India, reason enough to love launderettes, right there! Working with a laundry equipment distributor can benefit your company.
Conclusion
The success rate of launderettes is close to 95%. When faced with such obvious evidence of success, one has no choice but to concede. Straits Laundry Pte Ltd, Singapore, is one of Alliance Laundry System LLC, USA's largest distributors of laundry equipment and parts. They specialise in distributing Speed Queen Brand Laundry Machines and installing Speed Queen Machines in Laundromats.

This 1998 home in Ankeny, IA is the ultimate man cave. It has 3bd, 4ba, and he's asking $1.5M. Take at look at the ultimate man cave.
This is a one-of-a-kind home, and I'm sure it was custom built to the owner's specifications. This looks like some kind of playing court w/the windows above and all.
Looks like a TV and a movie screen. Is that a car lift? I'm confused.
Another TV area with a black fireplace.
This is a very high view of the ground floor.
Back here is a bar with a big flat screen.
Not much going on in this huge sun room. Maybe he rides that blue vehicle around it.
This looks like a big bar and kitchen.
Here's a large 2 bay garage.
Looks like a repair shop lounge.
Volley ball, pickle ball court?
Small exercise room.
Here's a dining room with a mezzanine. I don't know, is that the garage behind the window?
The kitchen's pretty big. It's enclosed, but has 2 big openings.
What a huge open house.
This is an enclosed deck that opens to a large outside deck. I like this idea, in case you invite people over and it rains.
The primary bedroom has a fireplace and a built-in canopy for the bed.
Behind the bed there's a little house that must be a sauna.
The man closet.
Very large bathroom.
Looks like a bedroom setup for several children.
And, a large bath.
Wow, this is like a laundromat.
Down there is the hot tub room.
Here's another bar and kitchenette plus a fireplace.
A very long game room.
The property is 16 acres. Look how far it is to get to the house.

Swiftly Flow the Days
As promised, the weekend was low-key, volunteeringwise. We also stayed home from church because our church has a lot of senior citizens and even with masks on it felt better to not chance it. Instead I watched the service on my phone from my bathtub, which was admittedly far more comfortable than a pew though the acoustics were worse. Still no COVID symptoms at all though, so I'm thinking we're good.
Even so, kiddo and I wore masks today as we went out volunteering again, this time delivering food and water from the United Way building to people who can't get to distribution centers. They didn't have as many deliveries for us to make as I would have hoped, but it felt good to be getting stuff where it needed to go. We also went over to the World Central Kitchen mobile HQ, which was an absolute anthill of activity in the middle of downtown Asheville. They're running a massive operation down there! We were just there to pick up some food for the volunteers at the distribution place, but it was stressful because it was so very busy and there were cars and people absolutely everywhere. Very efficiently handled, I will certainly give them that, but I was glad to grab our food and skedaddle!
With volunteering done for the day, we decided to support our local businesses and go to our favorite sushi place for lunch. We sat out on the patio for safety and got our sushi rolls and it felt very much like normal except for all the people at the church across the street stopping to get potable water from the hose and pump setup they had there. Water and power are back in most of my town, and it is very busy with people from Asheville coming up for a bit of a break and a trip to the laundromat, as well as volunteers from other places staying wherever they can find a spot. No tourists, now is very much not a time for tourists, but it still feels like high season.
While we were eating, I suggested to Kiddo that we should go visit the escape room place, because I learned that it is opening again at the end of this week. We've done most of the escape rooms they have, but there is one left that we kept meaning to get to but have not yet. He liked that idea. We talked about how he's keeping up with his boyfriend and his friends from school, and I suggested maybe his boyfriend would like to come along to the escape room. Kiddo liked that idea too, but it was only later at home that I realized Kiddo really liked that idea, but he wanted to do the escape room with his boyfriend and _not_ his poor old mom. I said that was fine and even agreed to foot the bill and drive the car, but I can't help feeling just a little bummed. Escape rooms were a thing kiddo and I did together, after all, and now things are changing. Change is important, and I think it's really important for Kiddo to socialize with his peers and develop relationships and all those vital things that are maybe even more vital when the world is turned upside down. None of that keeps an extremely bathetic cover of "Sunrise, Sunset" from playing in my mind every so often. Sigh.
Anyway, more volunteering tomorrow, back at the water distribution place. It's going to be much more chilly than last week, but we have our sweaters! I also got a pair of spooky pajama pants on sale from Walmart that arrived in the mail today (along with a whole bunch of other stuff as the post office untangles its deliveries!) They are soft and have ghosts on them and they are wonderful.

Crescent Island by jet4571
"Adds a new populated or unpopulated playable world. Named because the main island is vaguely shaped like a croissant and I am not creative with names. In the world is the usual places of work and to visit, summary below.
The residents are primarily living in 3 neighborhoods, the poor and just starting out are in the trailer park, all 1-2 bedroom trailers. Then you have the middle class neighborhood filled with 2 or 3 bedroom track houses. The neighborhood has 2 house designs and mirror versions of them so not a whole lot of variety as expected by track houses(20 of them is why I did track houses lol). Then you have the upper middle class/lower upper class neighborhood. There's a point with the two wealthy families living on beach front property with a third property there waiting for your Sim to build a beach front mansion that makes theirs pale in comparison. 3 homes on the small islands and 3 households on the coast of the main island. Unpopulated version the homes are there just nobody is living in them.
Downtown is mostly shopping but it has the laundromat, Salon and tattoo, Bistro, Day Spa, and the theater. On a dead end road off downtown is a business park. That includes the science facility, Plumbob pictures, the military facility, and EA's headquarters(I find it funny to call it that). The rest of the commercial lots are scattered about the island.
The Sims themselves are rather bog standard boring Sims. 51 families to make and you get real sick of Create A Sim real quick. Though their homes are setup to suit them. There are no celebrities, pets, or any other kind of sim than plain boring human. It would have required a save file instead of a populated world to fully implement that. The game will change that though if you let it but not having them natively reduces the time to remove them if you don't want them.
Not much more to say about the world other than see for yourself and the summary…

Next day Ji Ho and Genji arrived in Britechester to support Rubyn with her research on the meteorites to bring Ji Ho and the others back together again. Poor Rubyn is already working at full speed and now she's also under time constraints...
Rubyn: "What's wrong with these people? Winter Solstice is in 4 days! This is still work for weeks! I have to figure out which crystals to use and how this pedestal works and I also have to make sure you are safe! Gods! I'm stuck - I need ideas..."
She also showed them the setup in the yard behind her laboratory. There is already a second pedestal. Different to the one that vanished with the ship. Rubyn: "This will be the stationary one. If it all goes well, we will be able to use the meteorites to let you travel between the worlds. At least I hope that the ship teleported your friends to the Otherworld."
Rubyn called her collegues from Foxbury to gather new inspiration. They met at the 'Book Nook'. And while Rubyn discusses meteorite matters with her fellow physicists (without revealing too much to not put the Boys in jeopardy): Ji Ho: "If it all goes wrong and Vlad can't come back in time, I'd rather stay with you than being claimed by some of Lady D's 'customers' - prince or no prince." Genji is chuckling. Ji Ho: "What?" Genji: "Don't be stupid, Ji Ho. You could live a life of plenty. You are too precious to be a 'Laundromat Prince'."
It's late and there's a firework over at UBrite Arena. They went to the roof to watch it.
Rubyn: "Oh Ji Ho. I feel so sorry for you. We'll do anything possible to help you. Such a mess!" Genji: "Let's take this smiley as a good omen that all will be well in the end, hm?"
Ji Ho: "I was serious in the 'Book Nook', Genji. We get along really well and I'm so thankful you have me and protect me. I had a difficult past and I hate to get touched. But if Vlad doesn't make it I'd like to solidify our Bond." Genji: "Oh Ji Ho, I caused you so much pain I can't even imagine. I will never be able to make it up to you. And you flatter me that you consider this after all that happened between us. But I still hope Vlad makes it. You two belong together."
Ji Ho: "I'm not sure if I can love him." Genji: "You will. Sleep now. We will have a busy time here until Winter Solstice."
They took Ji Ho's meteorite with them to charge it with their Bond. And Genji was watching over Ji Ho's sleep...

Love coming up with ridiculous headcanons. I make the rules and now Colossus comes down every few days to take Wade and Logan's laundry because anything post fight is a biohazard very few laundry setups are equipped for, and the X-men laundry is one of the few. Keeping them from using a laundromat counts as life saving work.
#they're probably asymptomatic carriers of so many bloodborne pathogens post fight for at least a few minutes before the healing kicks in#but that's the time when their clothes get soaked in blood theirs and other people's#vanessa has every vaccine anyway. al has a minor mutation keeping her safe but she says it's all the coke.#that's how they survived living with him

Noah is Near Pure Good
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?
In General
He always stands up against villains that try to conquer the world.
Whenever fighting Niles, it's to only thwart him and never outright intends to take his life.
He is a very whimsical and lively person who enjoys being the center of attention, impressing others, and making them laugh.
He attempted to save Danny when he was kidnapped by Jafar and despite being unable to save him, he went through many procedures to ensure it would never happen again nor to himself.
He defends Danny whenever he gets bullied.
He's very protective towards his friends and whenever teasing some of them, it's usually in a playful manner.
Unlike his adoptive father, he shows genuine concern for the safety and wellbeing of others.
He has a great ability to forgive those who used to be his enemy, accepting their personalities that contrast or parallel his own.
The Genie Team
He asked The Genie Team to help him reclaim Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
He defeated Darla and Max by turning her into a blueberry and by sending him through the Television Chocolate Setup respectively.
He asked Ellie to turn him into a genie so that Danny wouldn't feel so lonely as the only boy genie.
When he stopped Niles from destroying Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, he asks him why he's doing so instead of trying to kill him.
He helped The Genie Team defeat Cobra, helped Juliet beat Jackson Storm in their race, and helped build Tara and Tom's new house.
The Genie Team: A.I.M.G.P.
He founded the A.I.M.G.P. in order to help people who had or hadn't been turned into genies get revenge on those who wronged them.
He helped his friends escape the Crystal Cavern under the A.I.M.G.P. HQ.
He defeated villains like Headridge and Snide with help from his friends.
He freed many genies from the influence of the Aura of Evil.
Noahsworld: The Zahramazing Adventure
He accepted Shimmer and Shine's request to help them save Zahramay Falls from danger.
He collected the Chaos Emeralds and Genie Gems and didn't abuse their power.
He defeated Zala and saved Danny and Abby when they were kidnapped by Zeta.
He returned the Master Emerald back to Samira.
Noahsworld: Tales from Noah and his Friends
He came to San Diego to share his chocolate making knowledge there and possibly to the world as well.
He accepted the deal with Arthur Slugworth in hopes that Arabella would have a better life, though he quickly broke it when he realized the boat to Hawaii was rigged to blow and he was meant to be killed.
Though he broke the deal, Arthur Slugworth had already made it unfair and broke it himself by letting Mr. Bongo and Ms. Crackett keep Arabella in the laundromat for the rest of her life, so this isn't really bad.
He exposed the Chocolate Cartel's crimes to the police and had them arrested.
Amanda's Mermaid Adventures
He helped the Helpful Mermaids to find and reunite himself with Danny and Abby.
He and Danny helped Amanda and the Helpful Mermaids save Mina and Chibichibi from Burton Plushtoy III.
Molly and the M Gang
He stopped Niles and Amber from plotting against him and his friends by trying to punch him in the face.
He protected Danny from the three merbullies and helped the M Gang stop them from stealing a Golden Hand Bell.
He became an actor for Travis' film without hesitation.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Good?
He acts like a bit of a jerk at times, as he tends to enjoy taunting much of his enemies, Niles especially.
He can be pretty rude, arrogant, and reckless sometimes, leading him to making extremely poor decisions.
He is a bit mischievous, such as when he once hit Ellie with a pie for a joke.
He has moments where he lets his overly secretive behavior get the best of him.
He is very reckless, which can inadvertently cause harm to others.
He is somewhat lethal, as seen when he and Danny beat the life out of two IO Guards, and while they somewhat deserved it for being part of the IO's scheme, Noah still showed clear sadism in doing so.

A couple folks have asked about why I won't work arts and crafts fairs, sewing as they're especially popular this time of year.
Here's the list why:
Covid - Husband and I both wear masks, but most people do not. We're both high risk and have contracted this deadly disease once, and still deal with the longterm effects. Oh, covid is the leading cause of death now here the US. Getting people to use hand sanitizer before touching anything is also a major issue. It's like dealing with toddlers. Now, before covid...
Scented items - everyone seems to use horrific artifical fragrances on their holiday items. I tried working an arts and crafts holiday fair about 12 years ago. In just half an hour, I was dealing with a really bad asthma attack. The "zero refund" policy was waived so we could get refund on paying for the vendor space. Because I nearly died.
Sensory nightmare - A&CFs tend to take place in auditoriums and school gyms. Lots of echoing and no soft surfaces (like carpeting) to absorb thr noise. The lighting hurts my eyes and tends to flicker because fluorescent lights are like that. I end up needing frequent breaks. Don't get me started on the odors, namely body odor. These places smell like sweaty teenagers who refuse to wear deodorant and instead marinate in body spray (scented rubbing alcohol) by Bath & Body Works. It's bad.
Permit/license - In Oregon, I'm required have a license or permit to be a vendor. You need these for garage/yard sales too, and those are free. Street vendor permits are free, but if vendoring indoors? It's not. I'm Disabled and that can complicate things. I can't be a street vendor, like at a farmers market, because of sensory nightmare and the heat. Even with a tent to keep thr sun out, I will not be okay.
Fabric absorbs odors - all that stink will need to be washed outta the fabric. That means a trip to the laundromat immediately after an event because I cannot pack these things away before washing. That's expensive.
Exhaustion - On top of this, we will be exhausted. That's a problem we acquired from covid: we exhaust easily, especially me. I can walk nearly a mile now, but it's taken a year to recover this much. That's just walking. There's all the talking and the social masking I need to do because of my autism and adhd, and dealing with the sensory nightmare. Then setup and repacking everything.
It's simply not worth it. Especially considering folks will balk at the prices and argue that I need to lower them to what they consider "reasonable" because apparently they can find these quilts at Walmart. Dealing with them is a special kind of Hell I never wanna deal with again.
Please stop suggesting I work at these events.

inspired by this: in modern verses and aus, dany's laundry setup is really nice. in most modern realms, she has a little laundry room with cabinets for all her detergents and extra storage. there is a table where she may fold her laundry (but honestly, she's not sure what she was thinking when she determined that she needed an entire room with a table; more often than not, she folds her laundry on the couch, so she can multi-task more effectively). she has a modern setup with a front-loading washer and dryer. her dryer has little wool balls to aid in more efficient drying and wrinkle-management. however, something that has followed her from her childhood is the habit of hanging her clothing outside to dry. i've delved into it in the past, but, as a child, dany's clothing often consisted of viserys' hand-me-downs, donations, and thrifted clothing. a lot of the time, these pieces were ill-fitting, and she could only keep as much as she could efficiently carry. in order to preserve these pieces, she would wash them, wherever she could (whether it be at a family friend's home, a laundromat when they could, or various bathrooms), and hang them outside. now, dany doesn't always hang all her clothing up on her terrace/balcony after it's been washed; she is really good at hanging the clothing that requires being hung to dry. but, there are times when she worries about the integrity of her clothing and feels that, perhaps, they deserve a break from being jostled around in the dryer. then, she will grab her little basket of colorful clothespins and hangers and laundry racks and get to work.
#;; i saw this post and THIS JUST FLEW INTO MY MIND???#;; i'll write a little follow up about this but . . . dany does put all her clothes away after they've been folded#♕░░ a living fire to lighten the darkness ( HEADCANONS )

Man im so sick n tired of not having my own washer/dryer setup.
Its worse when the only laundromat in town closed on 2022 april 1st. The owner was rly nice, and he did inform us that he wanted to upgrade to a new location, but the local school system bought out his old AND new location, so theres no chance of having that in town anymore.
P sure thats the reason why our housing tax/rent went up. Ive driven by the bought locations and it just looks empty. Tf is the point of buying it out and never use it

I think it's fairly accurate that if you can get all the SERVICES you need in that time but rhe employees for those services can't get there in the same time it's a theme park. Where are they living? Affordable housing is key to achieving this since it shouldn't just be "15m for those rich enough to live in the middle". I also think 30m to be a more realistic time frame but we're not here to fuck about with that.
I grew up with a supermarket, library, laundromat, fish and chip shop, and corner shop all in 20m walk. There was also a green grocer, bakerym and butcher if you made it 30. Most employees lived nearby - many lived above the shops as those were flats (apartments). It was a residential area.
By which I mean it's not unrealistic to expect the housing costs to reflect the pay rate of the services. You really shouldn't have long commute times for jobs which are common except by chance in this kind of setup. The rent shouldn't be so high employees can't live near where they work.

It'a been four years since this post and I'm late for pride but I've been watching movies and I'm back with more reccs. Apologies for the MLM slant, I'm slowly expanding my repetoire for other stories but am not enough of an expert to throw out recs
And just to clear the air yes, I'm aware God's Own Country is in Yorkshire, not Scotland - now that Challengers is out though you should watch God's Own Country again because Josh O'Connor is amazing every time.
My Brother the Devil (2012): Kind of the reason I wanted to update this list. An Egyptian teenager grapples with the fact that his older brother is gay and wants to leave the criminal life that he desperately wants to step into. Criminally underrated movie, also near impossible to find online.
My Beautiful Laundrette (1985): A Pakistani man takes over a laundrette (laundromat for us 'Muricans) from his uncle and enlists his former childhood friend to help him out. Delves into some racial and power dynamics in Thatcher England. There's a really good stageplay of this one too.
Beautiful Thing (1996): A boy navigates his rocky but loving relationship with his mother, while taking in his best friend/next door neighbor (who he has feelings for). Rewatched this one the other day and it almost made me cry in a very queer joy sort of way.
Quick aside: the last three gave me the exact same flavor of catharsis that Maurice and God's Own Country did - one of these days I'm gonna marathon all five of these movies and collapse into a heap on the floor.
Big Eden (2000): Middle-aged man moves back to his home town to take care of his sick father - the most rom-com setup ever. But there's a bait-and-switch I adore and the movie is just so laid-back and easygoing, very similar to a cup of hot chocolate.
Touch of Pink (2004): Oh my god, this one, this one is so silly. A man has to shove himself back into the closet to accomodate his overbearing mother moving in with him. He also has Cary Grant as an imaginary friend and there's also a wedding that gets crashed. Extremely silly.
The Wedding Banquet (1993): Speaking of weddings, do you like the fake marriage trope? Well this is the movie for you! To appease his traditional parents, a Taiwanese man agrees to marry a woman looking for a green card. Hilarity ensues. Surprisingly heartfelt as well.
Uncle Frank (2020): A gay man, his partner, and his niece go on a roadtrip to his home town after the death of his father. Another one that's heartfelt and inspires bubbly, warm feelings. I adore Beth (the niece) and her relationshio with her uncle, too.
Fair Haven (2016): A young man returns from conversion camp and struggles to chose between his family and the man he loves. Quiet and understated, but the whole thing is punctuated by this undercurrent of hope that's super nice to watch.
That's it - didn't even make it to ten, huh? Granted I've been watching quite a few that end sad (hi Front Cover), trying to expand my horizons (hi The Handmaiden, Summerland, and Close-Knit), or just consuming things that aren't movies (hi A New Brain, The House on the Cerulean Sea, and Skam). See you in four years, maybe? I might actually be running out of things to watch.
It's Pride and I'm a gay guy who watches a lot of movies, so here's a bunch of gay movies with happy endings not named Love, Simon, because we have moved past the need for Brokeback Mountain.
Trick (1999): A cute little romcom about a one night stand going horribly, horribly right. It's a shame this movie isn't more popular because it's so charming and has so much fanfic potential.
Shelter (2007): I mean, this is a classic. Surfers, found family, pining, what not to like?
The Thing About Harry (2020): Ridiculously cheesy, ridiculously cute. It's essentially a modern Trick with an enemies to friends to lovers slant. Good for some mindless fun.
Goodbye Mother (2019): As a gay Vietnamese man I will never not shut up about how well this movie portrays that intersection. A story about a gay expat visiting his hometown with his boyfriend, the nuance, the drama, the tensions are all so very real to how gay men in Vietnam have to navigate around the question of family.
We are Gamily (2017): In the same vein as Goodbye Mother but with a more comedic slant. A gay couple has to pretend to be straight when a parent comes to visit, it's funny and heartwrenching at all the right moments, and heartwarming to boot.
Just Friends (2018): Dutch Shelter. Explores the tension between gay men and their mothers, particularly between a refugee family.
God's Own Country (2017): Happy Brokeback Mountain, an aimless Scottish farmer with an ailing father finds his purpose with help from a migrant worker. It's poignant, beautifully shot, and quietly understated. A must watch.
Maurice (1984): Edwardian gays. Ahead of its time and an affirmation that it's okay to move on from your first love, as well as the ultimate smashing of class divides.
The Way He Looks (2014): A blind boy falls in love with a new classmate, it's both a coming of age and a study on disability. It's so sweet and the ending is the ultimate catharsis.
Handsome Devil (2016): An Irish schoolboy befriends the new transfer athlete and discovers they have more in common than he thought. A really excellent portrayal of friendship and solidarity.
TW: These next movies all have references or show self harm, but they all ultimately end happy. No more images from here out because I've reached the limit.
Hidden Kisses (2016): Two teenagers experience their coming out process while romantically involved. I love that it shows both characters and demonstrates how the experience is different for everyone.
Latter Days (2003): Gay Mormon meets party boy and the rest is history. It's a little cheesy but the guys are hot and the love story is ultimately so uplifting you can't help but smile.
Fire Song (2015): An Anishnabe teenager struggles with the decision to leave his reservation and attend college. Probably the darkest movie on the list, but it also tells such an important story about aboriginal communities and the struggles of people who have been extremely marginalized.
Save Me (2007): A struggling drug addict checks into an ex-gay ministry. The most nuanced portrayal of these ministries I have seen yet and also a wonderful story of self discovery of not just the main character, but the cast that surrounds him as well.
Honorable mentions to Giant Little Ones Getting Go: The Go Doc Project, and Boy Erased because while in my opinion, they have excellent and happy endings, the main charcters do not get (substantially) hitched at the end and some people don't like that.
In no way is this a comprehensive list, and I'm always looking to expand my repetoire with more lesbian and trans stories (send me reccs!). This is just a reminder that there's space for stories with gay characters to end happy and that Brokeback Mountain is the exception, not the norm.
