Dangerous Type Mysteries

Star City is known for its slopes and its powder. But nestled in the valley of this ski resort town is a side street full of shops that specialise in the simple charms of earlier eras. One of those shops is the Rescued Word, where Chester Henry and his adult granddaughter Clare lovingly repair old typewriters and restore old books. Who ever thought their quaint store would hold the key to some modern-day trouble?

When a stranger to town demands they turn over an antique Underwood typewriter they’re repairing for a customer, Clare fears she may need to be rescued. A call to the police scares the man off, but later Clare finds his dead body in the back alley. What about a dusty old typewriter could possibly be worth killing for?

AHA I learned how to make home made pins (which are stored on this piece of foam for now until I can get or craft a display to put them on)

Some came out warmer tinted than I intended and a few of the Chica cup handles broke but I had fun with it. I applied a sealer to protect them from weather and water but might switch to resin, but resin is also expensive so depends. I might sell these in sets but the ones with some errors will be b-grade discounted obviously. I have other designs as well but haven't tested those yet

Well I finally got my other work wrapped up so that also finally means I can get the shop open and sell these flowerbeast pins and other goodies! I’m hoping to get it open this Saturday afternoon, maybe earlier if I’m lucky, I’ll keep everyone updated! :)

I am so fond of my headcanon that shadow has no idea how money works

Like he knows he exchanges money for goods, but he has no idea of the value anything holds

G.U.N issued him a bank account that they pay into, but he has absolutely no way of quantifying the amount in there. He was just told that he was not to give the numbers on the card to Rogue.

He once bought a $300 bag of coffee because he liked the packaging. He has a designer jacket that cost thousands and it was only when Amy pointed out that she knew the brand that he realised it must have been expensive. He’s bought VIP tickets for their concert trips more than once by mistake, then got frustrated when they tried to bring him backstage to meet the band (which he accidentally paid to do).

A few of his friends have described him as ‘surprisingly generous’ but truly he just has no idea what things cost

i hope so!!! he’s actually one of my favourites to draw, i think the reason i don’t have a lot of art of him is because i draw mostly tav stuff and i haven’t romanced him yet

Second Chance Cat Mysteries

Meet secondhand shop owner Sarah Grayson and her rescue cat, Elvis, in the first novel in a new series.

Sarah Grayson is the happy proprietor of Second Chance, a charming shop in the oceanfront town of North Harbor, Maine. At the shop, she sells used items that she has lovingly refurbished and repurposed. But her favorite pet project so far has been adopting a stray cat she names Elvis.

Elvis has seen nine lives - and then some. The big black cat with a scar across his nose turned up at a local bar when the band was playing the King of Rock and Roll’s music and hopped in Sarah’s truck. Since then, he’s been her constant companion and the furry favorite of everyone who comes into the store.

But when Sarah’s elderly friend Maddie is found with the body of a dead man in her garden, the kindly old lady becomes the prime suspect in the murder. Even Sarah’s old high school flame, investigator Nick Elliot, seems convinced that Maddie was up to no good. So it’s up to Sarah and Elvis to clear her friend’s name and make sure the real murderer doesn’t get a second chance.
