this soundtrack genuinely makes me so emotional like damn. the jack vs fiona scene at the end of ep 2 is already so perfect and then they had to go make this beautiful as hell ost with it too. those bastards

#yeah im gonna gush abt the borderlands ost again #it slaps so hard and i dont see many people talking abt it SOB #but this one especially got me by the balls #cause it really adds to the intensity of the decision of whether you should trust jack or fiona #like you can feel rhys' nerves and conflicting emotions through the soundtrack alone #cause even tho you yourself know jack is Bad and fiona is the objectively good option you also know that rhys has a different perspective #fiona is a pandoran con artist which should be reason enough to not trust her (dude is NOT immune to hyperion propaganda)#but shes also tough and survived for 29 whole years WHILE ALSO protecting her sister so she's gotta be doing something right #and even rhys could tell fiona is very genuine. plus they set out to find the vault together so he kinda has to trust her at some point #but then theres jack who hes idolized for so long and hes literally in his ear telling him not to trust fiona #but trusting jack means giving jack way too much access to his cybernetics and even tho hes a massive fanboy hes also aware of jacks nature #and on top of this hard decision theres also a time limit. like he had to make this choice on the spot #IM TELLING YOU MAN THAT SCENE IS CRAZY. I GET GOOSEBUMPS THINKING ABOUT IT #and no matter who you pick at the end youre always like 'well. this doesnt bode well'#because youve either essentially given jack access to your brain or youve pissed jack off and neither of those are good #rhys was in a lose-lose situation there #txt

@eric-the-bmo you have to understand i want to elaborate so so badly but unless i can vomit up the whole thing at once i will sound completely incomprehensible. just watching the movies with your wod goggles on makes the tip of the iceberg obvious, but if you follow it down things keep lining up even at tiny details. the initial revelations i had were as follows:

consider the continentals as elysiums, their managers princes or keepers

consider the coins as boons

consider the factions under the high table as clans within the camarilla

consider john a brujah, trying to live out a quiet autarkis life with his touchstones, only to be forced back into the sect when they're ripped away.

it all spirals out from there. there's so much more.

my stupid neighbor upstairs plays ambient music at what must be ear-splitting levels in her own apartment because it fills my apartment with LOUD fucking music every day. sometimes i question if her speakers are pointed at the floor because there's literally no reasonable explanation for this behavior .... she just turned this music up to full fucking blast and left her apartment right after

genuinely feels like i am the only neighbor on the fucking planet who thinks abt how loud they're being

jurassic world chaos theory is very good. its kind of insanely good for something that's a sequel to goddamn Camp Cretaceous. and im losing my mind because no one i know gives a single damn about it but it's like. actually so fucking good

#theres so fucking much that I could go off about #camp cretaceous was a kids show that we watched merely for the dinosaurs while accepting that its silly #all the kids are teenagers and its a kids cartoon so obviously theres going to be tons of plot armor and childish plots etc #but now chaos theory is like. 6 years later. and the characters are all adults and have moved out #and its still kid friendly but has subtly more adult appeal #and its actually kind of so fucking cool. like hey i know those guys #from that kids show that i watched while knowing that it is not made to appeal to me at all #but now theyre closer to my age and my audience and i actually relate to the stage of life theyre at #theres so many neat background details like the way they decorate their houses #the soundtrack actually fucking bops #or rather not the soundtrack itself but the way they use it #theres so many scenes i notice that i Notice the music sets in at the right moment #theyre not afraid to let quiet contemplative scenes be quiet and contemplative #theres obviously still a lot of plot armor and some silly moments but generally i feel like the characters are actually In Danger now #namely because the series opens up with the reveal that ONE OF THEM FUCKING DIED?????????????????#i mean im obviously expecting by the end that theyre going to actually be alive surprise surprise #but theres flashbacks with a Pool Of Blood and the entire series so far is spent believing that they ARE Dead #this series was made to appeal to me specifically (kids show I watched for funsies gets a sequel made for my demographic instead)
