Finished my third session of my college campaign. The Entrance exams worked exactly how i wanted. Each character got a time to shine without putting life or death worry in them. The multiple combats at once was fun and allowed to have multiple narratives occur at once. If you ever do something similar (running two disparate but simultaneous combats) I recommending adding like 40 to the initiatives of one of the combats so that all the turns for a combat happen together and you aren't jumping back and forth. Of course all the players passed the exam! I'm very excited for them to get to the actual school part of the campaign. The entrance exams had 3 different combats so I used that to introduce new characters (specifically their classmates) and although they beat all of them I think it established some character dynamics. I wish I could have had them lose a little but Level 1 balancing is difficult. I also forgot to give them XP... WHOOPS. I need to get used to that.

What is the value of things when it doesn't come to money and how can we define it? I tried to come up with some sort of a system that could allow people to define the value of things and that had a visual result. For this reason I asked several people to chose on two or three things that they owned and were valuable to them, so it could have been knowledge, an ability or an object and then then I asked them to choose on certain characteristics that made the thing valuable. According to the number of characteristics they would have to divide the circle into the same amount of spaces and place dots, the further away from the center the most valuable the thing is and the more dots in the circle, the more features it has. These are the figures that came out of the experiment.

Session 3 - Decoding Advertising

In this third session we started to talk about Decoding Advertising we learned about how to explain thorough magazine ads. Some of the analysing magazine advertising was a that ads are particular to time and time. Such as my understanding of that magazine uses same effect within other adverting items they used.  With another of examples was aspirational selling with points of the will reflect a target consumers, plant the ‘’seed of need’’, upwardly mobile associations and linac status consumption. The points are like pros and cons, such as what it is a good point and what isn’t. Another discussion was a concealment another selling points are hide or do not show production of economic structure. They are actually good points of advertising points.

What magazine ads mostly have or do. Such as a highly professional and competitive and companies in the service sector, spend waste amounts. Within an good example is:

they are reactive self contained,

product definition, 

signification of the image and text, 

encoding presented an achieved business.   

Linguistic message means that is shown in every image of communication presented in our culture. Linguistic means the study of natural language and the meaning. Another points is a non-coded means that is literal reading linguistic sign, and coded means that is symbolic of connotative reading of iconic of image.

With the rise of digital content and the development of digitalisation, technology is pushing the boundaries by integrating everyday objects into the digital sphere. Where it might have started with pen and paper, games or images, it has now included films and other video content (Netflix, Youtube), music and sound recordings (iTunes, Spotify), books and essays (ebooks), photography (Snapchat, Instagram) and even money (bitcoins), amongst other daily devices.

During this transition from physical to completely virtual content, users are questioning their rights, particularly their ownership of such digital content. While the older generation might favour a physical form of library or music collection, the younger generation does not seem to care whether their books are on a shelf or on an ebook. How will digitalisation change our behaviour towards ownership? And, more importantly, will it affect us in any significant way?
