"Why am I so fucking nervous?” You wondered to yourself as you sat waiting in your car, glancing around the parking lot of the restaurant in search of the familiar figure of your best friend. “This man has seen me at my worst, he’s not gonna care about my outfit."
But still your fingers found their way back to your sleeve, fidgeting with the fabric anxiously, finding it impossible to get it to sit to your satisfaction.
Dinners with Jin had once been such a common occurrence for the two of you that you would naturally show up at each others places without notice, oftentimes still in work or rehearsal clothes and messy hair.
You and Jin had been friends for years, meeting not long after you first moved to Seoul, and in essence, your relationship boiled down to that you irritated the shit out of each other, but that was why you loved each other. It wasn’t uncommon for you to greet each other with nicknames like “jackass” and “idiot”, or to treat each other to things like ice cream topped with fish sauce instead of chocolate syrup.
Some in your friend group found your dynamic a little peculiar to say the least, but they didn't question it much. The two of you were simply comfortable enough to be your true ridiculous selves together.
For all of your more childish behaviors though, you both knew you could count on the other for anything, whether that was being a shoulder to cry on when you got dumped by your first real boyfriend, or comforting him as he poured out his fears of keeping up with the demands of Idol life. You trusted each other with every version of yourselves, which was quite different from almost every other friendship you had.
Indeed, the only thing you had truly kept hidden from him was the not so small crush you had developed for him over the years.
It wasn’t exactly a shocking development; neither of you had particularly fulfilling dating lives, and you tended to spend most your nights off at each other's places because that just felt easier, more comfortable. You two had even joked together that you might as well date, but it of course never went beyond jokes.
Part of you wanted to be honest with him about your feelings, but it didn’t feel right to dump that kind of information on him when he was already dealing with so much.
What if he didn’t feel the same? Were you really willing to risk one of the most important friendships in your life on a maybe? And even if he did feel the same, which you very much doubted, what would you be able to do about it now that he was going away for over a year?
No, it was much better, much kinder, to just keep things the way they were, and to love and support him solely as a friend.
As the time for Jin to enlist drew closer, your hangouts had taken on a slightly more bittersweet tone, realizing more and more how much you were going to miss seeing each other.
Neither of you spoke about it though, playing it off with jokes about how grateful you’d be to have the other out your hair.
“At least once you’ve left, I’ll be able to watch good tv again.” You’d teased one evening after losing another round of rock, paper, scissors for what show to watch.
“Ha, as if! I bet you won’t make it two weeks before you’re back to watching my picks.” He’d retorted, flopping back against your couch. “Face it, you’re gonna be totally lost without me.”
You’d rolled your eyes, but a tiny voice in the back of your mind feared that he was right.
But then, the time came for him to leave, and reality hit much harder than either of you had anticipated.
You had thought that perhaps the distance and time apart might help you get over your lingering feelings for your friend, but instead, his sudden absence had just left a painfully obvious hole in your life and left you feeling terribly alone. You hadn’t realized just how much space he took up in your day to day life until he was gone.
Everything felt off balance. Evenings at home, which had once been your favorite, were now dark and dull, dinners quiet and lonely. Your favorite cafes and shops were now far too loud and crowded on your own.
You could tell that he wasn’t dealing with the separation well either, though he tried to keep up his normal cheery disposition whenever you called. But each time, you noticed the way his smiles didn’t always reach his eyes, or that his laughs were just a little more forced.
You tried to keep in touch through text, sending each other your usual memes and updates, but as time went on, the frequency began to slowly lessen more and more.
It was better when you were able to see each other in person, able to pretend for those few hours that almost nothing had changed, but it seemed more and more like the universe was against you having even that. On the days that Jin managed to get leave, something always seemed to interfere with you seeing each other, whether it was work schedules, family emergencies, or random stomach flus. Last time, you’d only managed to meet up for a quick coffee before he had to leave again.
To your credit though, the two of you never forgot a single holiday or special occasion for the other, sending gifts and trying your hardest to meet around the time of your birthdays.
This was one of those such days, just a week or so past your birthday, that you were currently sat waiting for him to show up.
He had promised to treat you to a meal for your birthday, just like he did every year, so you had picked a place close to his base that you knew you both loved. It wasn’t anything fancy, just a little locally owned barbeque place, but it was where the two of you had met several times before, and it had come to feel like ‘your place’.
Finally, you spotted his familiar figure appear, leaning up against the side of the building as he glanced around for you, looking gorgeous as ever in the golden evening light.
Exiting your car, you half ran across the parking lot, tackling him in a tight bear hug.
“Oof! Hi, Bug.” He greeted you breathlessly, steading the two of you before returning your embrace.
“Wassup, dork.” You said, grinning up at him.
“Yah! I’m a military man now, you should speak to me with some respect.” He scolded you.
“Yeah, not gonna happen.” You snickered, earning an eye roll from him.
“Alright, menace,” He shoved you off playfully. “Let's go eat, I’m starving.”
The two of you fell back into your usual rhythm with each other, swapping stories about work, family, his new friends from the base, the new coffee place near your apartment that you hated, anything that crossed your minds. But throughout the evening, you couldn’t help but notice the strange shift in the air.
Maybe it was the fact that this was the most time that you’d spent together in ages, but the whole evening had a nervous energy to it, almost like a first date.
You caught yourself admiring little things about Jin that you had only fleetingly paid mind to before, if at all.
The way he gripped his chopsticks or spoke with his hands, bringing to mind the numerous times he’d gripped tight onto your hand to keep you from getting separated in busy crowds. You wondered if they felt the same, or had the past year of work made them rough?
“Y/n?”
You blinked, Jin eyeing you mild amusement.
“You okay? Or am I boring you already?” He asked with faux indignation.
“No no, sorry.” You shook your head, trying to ignore the sudden heat in your face. Had you been staring at him the whole time? You desperately hoped not.
Then again, it wasn’t just you acting strangely either.
More than once through the evening, you could have sworn you caught Jin staring at your mouth as you’d spoke, fidgeting with the collar of his shirt, drawing your attention to his outfit, noting that he seemed to have dressed up a bit more than usual, just like you had.
The perceived change in both your demeanors lead to several weighted silences, but there was also an nervous undercurrent of excitement to them, both of you fleetingly meeting the others eye, only to then be caught and left temporarily unable to look away. It was as if you were both waiting, daring the other to address it, but neither of you did.
Inevitably though, it grew too late to ignore, the restaurant around you now nearly empty, the sky outside long turned black.
As you exited the restaurant, a cloud of silence fell over the two of you again, this time though it was more mournful, sensing the impending goodbye, not knowing when you would get to see each other like this again.
“You’re sure you’ll be okay getting home?” Jin asked softly. “It’s a bit of a drive.”
“Yes Mom, I’ll be fine.” You tried to tease, but the words came out without any real edge to them.
The two of you stared at each other for a long moment, Jin chewing his lip nervously, as if he wanted to say something more, but he didn’t.
Suddenly, he wordlessly pulled you into a tight hug, something he had done a thousand times before, but something in the way he held you this time made your heart ache, holding onto him a little tighter this time, savoring the warmth of him around you for just a little longer.
"I miss you." The words slipped out before you realized, so small and heavy with heartbreak, drifting away in the night air as you kept your face pressed against the material of his jacket, hoping that maybe he hadn’t heard you.
You felt him freeze for the smallest fraction of a second before his arms tightened around you, hugging you closer.
“Me too.” He breathed, barely audible.
You bit your lip, trying desperately to will away the sudden stinging wetness in your eyes.
After a long moment, you both became of aware of how you were holding onto each other, parting awkwardly as you cleared your throat, looking anywhere but him.
“G-goodnight, Jin.” You muttered hurriedly.
“Night.” He replied, taking a small step back before giving an awkward half bow. “Stay safe and eat well, yeah?” His eyes were similarly misted over, matching your own.
“Mhm, you too.” You nodded quickly, looking away again.
Feeling your already wavering facade threatening to crack, you nodded and turned away, walking quickly to your car without looking back at him.
The next few months passed relatively quickly, but following that night there had been a palpable shift between the two of you.
Calls began to lessen. Then texts. You claimed work was just really hectic and you were just busy, but it wasn't the whole truth.
The truth was you were terrified.
Memories of that evening plagued you constantly, as did your accidental confession.
It was just three words, a simple and perfectly innocent statement given the context of your situation, but they had held more meaning than you intended them to, and you could tell that Jin had picked up on their meaning as well, based on his recent, equally awkward behavior.
Staring down at your phone, you cursed yourself silently, seeing no new messages from him yet again. If the earlier distance between you had been painful to cope with, the new silence was agony.
Why had you said anything at all?! You were sure you must have freaked him out.
You considered just being completely honest with him and telling him how you felt, more than once you had written out several long-winded texts in an attempt to explain everything, but each time you’d lost your nerve and deleted it.
At a loss, you did the only thing you could think of, which was nothing.
You stepped back, giving him whatever space he wanted or needed, letting him choose how things would move forward between the two of you.
If he wanted to move on and act like nothing had happened, you’d go right along with him. And if he wanted to talk about it… then you’d face that and accept whatever he had to say.
That decision however, had resulted in Jin overthinking things as well.
He had also been replaying that last dinner with you, his mind drifting back to how pretty you had looked, the nervous flush that had crept over your cheeks as you’d talked, the shape of your lips, how tempting it had been to lean in and-
He shook his head, glancing around quickly as he tried to clear his mind, hoping no one had noticed his lack of focus.
“I miss you…” Those three little words had echoed in Jin’s head for days. They were simple enough, but it was something that neither of you had said in the nearly year and half that he’d been gone. Your quiet confession had caused all the feelings that he had been trying to stifle for ages to rise back to the forefront.
Over the course of your friendship, he’d become increasingly infatuated with you, but he’d always pushed those feelings to the side, fearing that you wouldn’t feel the same, or even if you did, that the complications of dating as an Idol would be too much and drive you apart.
He had thought he was doing the right thing by keeping his feelings to himself, but your words had made him reconsider.
Unsure how to proceed, he had pulled back slightly as he mentally battled with himself.
But then you had started to pull away as well.
Your shorter messages, the sudden lack of interaction, it all made his stomach sink lower and lower with every passing day.
He shook his head again.
No. He couldn’t take this.
He decided one of the first things he would do following his discharge was tell you the truth about how he felt, and whatever your response was, he would accept. If you rejected him, he would go back to being just your friend and pretend nothing had happened.
And if you reciprocated his feelings-? He wouldn’t let himself think about that, not yet.
Above all else, you were one of his best friends, and he was not prepared to lose you.
Finally, after what felt like the longest and shortest year and half of his life, Jin received his discharge.
The first few days after coming home were a frenzied blur for Jin.
Between meeting up with family and friends, photoshoots, hosting a fanmeet for Army, and various other schedules, he was absolutely exhausted.
In a way, it was wonderful to be getting back into his chaotic, but familiar routine, but the sudden shift back into ‘civilian life’, if one could call it that, was taking its toll on him all the same.
Everything was so loud and happening so fast, all he really wanted was just to find somewhere quiet to lay low for a few days and do nothing.
Wait no, that wasn't quite true.
He wanted to see you.
Since he’d gotten back, you had sent a few texts, welcoming him home and the like, but he’d yet to get to actually see you, a fact that was beginning to make him increasingly uneasy.
He needed to see you, needed to hear your voice, to tell all the thoughts and feelings that he had realized over the past few months. He could almost feel them, pressing in against his ribcage, squeezing the air from his lungs. He didn’t think he would be able to breathe properly again until he told you how he truly felt.
Luckily, he knew he would have a chance tonight at the party his friends were throwing for him.
It wasn’t anything elaborate, just a get together with some of his friends, with food and drinks, as a way to welcome him home.
Despite the fatigue of the past few weeks, Jin was looking forward to it, if only for the chance to see you again.
But as he scanned around the crowded room, he failed to spot your face.
“Something wrong, Hyung?” One of his friends asked, noting his deflated expression.
“Have you seen Y/n?” He asked, still looking around hopefully. “I thought they’d be here.”
“Maybe they’re just running late or something?” He offered.
Jin nodded distractedly, ducking off to the side and fishing his phone out of his pocket.
He called your number, but was sent directly to your voicemail. He hung up and tried again, with the same result.
“Everything okay? I really wanted to see you tonight…” He typed out quickly, pressing send as someone else’s conversation caught his attention.
"Y/n? Didn’t they say they had a date tonight or something?"
His head whipped around at their words.
"What date?" He asked, slightly more sharply than he intended.
"I dunno, some blind date that Y/n said their work friend set up.” They shrugged.
“Oh.” Jin felt all the energy in his body slip away, like water down the drain.
Everyone's voices faded into static as Jin stood there motionless, feeling as if the ground below him was slowly swallowing him up.
He was too late.
In all the months of imagining and planning and hoping, he hadn’t accounted for the fact that he might not be given an opportunity to confess, that you would move on before he had a chance. Because why wouldn’t you? He hadn’t given you any reason not to, if anything quite the opposite. He’d stupidly shied away from you in an attempt to spare himself the awkwardness of having to explain himself to you before he was ready, and now it was too late. He’d fucked up…
In reality, however, you were not on any such date. You had actually spent the evening curled into a sniffly ball in bed, completely unaware of Jin’s numerous attempts to call you as you faded in and out of a cold meds-induced sleep.
It was true that your friend had tried to set you up with one of their guy friends, and while they had sounded very nice, you had politely declined, telling her you appreciated the offer, but you weren’t looking to date anyone at the moment.
You didn’t mention that it was mainly because you were still hung up on your best friend, but no one needed to know that, including the best friend in question.
You’d had every intention of going to his welcome home party, and to hopefully clear up the awkwardness between the two of you, but fate had decided to screw you over once more by having you come down with a cold that day, leaving you an achy, feverish mess in bed.
When you woke up the next morning, or early afternoon to be more precise, your head still slightly wobbly as you checked your phone, you felt your stomach drop as you scrolled through the multiple missed calls and messages from Jin.
You quickly called him back, praying that he wasn’t too upset with you for ignoring his calls, as well as missing his party.
It rang several times, making you worry that he wouldn’t pick up, until you finally heard his voice.
“Hello?” He answered, his tone flat and detached.
“Jin, I’m so sorry, I didn’t see your messages til this morning-” You tried to explain.
“It’s fine.” He stopped you, but you thought you heard a faint sniffle from his end of the line.
“Are you okay?” You asked worriedly.
“M’fine.” He answered flatly, but you thought you recognized that sour tone.
“Are you sure? You sound a little stuffy, you’re not sick too, are you-?” You tried.
“I said I’m fine, Y/n.” He cut you off. “Look, uh, now’s not really a great time to talk, I’ll call you back later, okay?”
“Okay.” You said quietly, heart sinking as the line went dead.
He’d said that he was fine, but his short tone with you had said otherwise. You’d known him long enough to know he was either sick or sulking, and neither of those options sat well with you at the moment.
Before you had fully thought out what you were going to say to him, you were standing outside his door.
He was equally slow in answering the door as he had been on the phone, cracking the door open slowly.
"I was the one who was sick, why do you look like you’ve been through the plague?" You asked wryly, trying to get him to crack a smile, but no such thing happened.
“What are you doing here?” He asked in the same monotone from earlier.
“I came to see if you were okay-”
"I’m fine." He said flatly.
Oh, he was definitely sulking. It was gonna take a bit more work than you’d initially thought to get him to talk to you then.
"Alright then, what if we-.” You started.
"How was your date?" He asked suddenly, catching you off guard.
"What date?" You asked in confusion.
"The one your friend from work set up.” He said, the distaste clear in his voice.
"Who told you about that?".
"What does it matter? How was it?" He said sharply.
You blinked, staring up at him.
Was that why he was upset about? Not that you missed the party or his calls, but because he thought you’d done so in favor of a date?
"I wouldn’t know, I told them no." You admitted, shrugging indifferently.
He straightened slightly, looking up at you in surprise. "What? Why?"
You hesitated.
You could just say because you weren’t interested, or you could just tell him the whole truth, right here and now. If he rejected you, at least then you would know and you could both move on, rather than slowly ruining your friendship the way you had the past few weeks.
Your hesitation made him suddenly anxious, seeing the conflict in your eyes, afraid to get his hopes up.
"Why didn't you go, Y/n?" He asked again, his voice suddenly low and soft.
It was the same voice that had brought you comfort more times than you could count, the voice that had accompanied numerous midnight conversations. That safe, familiar tone that felt like home.
You realized it was now or never.
You met his gaze. “They weren’t you.”
His eyes went wide, and for a split second you feared you had made the choice.
But then he was crushing you to his chest, holding you tightly and yet so achingly gently, as if you might shatter in his hands as he pressed his lips to yours.
“I thought I was too late.” He breathed, drawing back just enough to gaze at you.
You shook your head. “I wanted you.”
“Thank fuck-” He closed the gap between you again, kissing you much more firmly this time.
Everything else seemed to fade away, all you could, hear, smell, and feel was Jin. The lingering scent of his cologne, the faint roughness on his hands as they drifted up to cup your cheek.
You hooked your arms around his neck, pulling him and pressing him closer to you.
His hands drifted lower, caressing your waist as his tongue glossed over your lower lip, making you let out a soft whine.
“Is this okay?” He rasped.
“God, yes.” You nodded quickly.
“Jin’s just fine, you don’t have to give me any special names.” He smirked at you.
You shoved him away weakly. “You’re the worst.”
He just laughed, pulling you to connect your lips again.
The sound of voices in the distance suddenly reminded you both that you were still stood on his doorstep.
“Do you wanna take this inside?” He asked “Or am I still the worst?”
“Inside.” You said quickly, giving him another shove, this time propelling you both inside and slamming the door behind you.

WHEN THEY LOVE YOU THE MOST

↬┊JIN
after long days of fighting and several hours of communication, at the end of forced smiles and impromptu conversations, between your home and the world, Jin loved you the most when you were tired.
it was when the world was most challenging that Jin found little details about you to love: the way your eyes almost close when you laugh, the way you always stretch your back before taking a deep breath, the way you always manage to find gentle words amidst the chaos in this world. at all times, you were beautiful.
but it was when you arrived home defeated that Jin loved you the most.
he could see on your face your silent plea for affection; he could see in your dragging feet your silent request for a massage; Jin could see in you that it was at that moment that you needed the most love. and he would give it to you. without ever thinking twice, always so helpful and ready, Jin loved you. simply that.
on the most tiring days, when it seemed like the world was taking over you, Jin would take you in his arms and show you that with him you would always have a safe haven. close your eyes. rests. relax. let Jin’s gentle touch take you to lands of tranquility. let Jin’s sweet voice guide you along the most serene paths. let Jin love you.
it didn't matter the day or Jin’s state: he could be tired, totally defeated after a long day of working, he could have just arrived from a long trip, there was no excuse for Jin not to love you. he made you a priority every day. your well-being was equivalent to Jin’s well-being.
so every day, when he knew you weren’t well and needed a quiet moment in the comfort of the one you loved, Jin would love you until you felt like yourself once again.
↬┊JIMIN
among the most graceful blues and the most comforting oranges, amidst all the hopeful yellows and beyond the most addictive purples, Jimin loved you the most when the entire world glowed with the most intense colors and nature played the most ethereal symphony in all the cosmos.
it was when the world shined brightest that Jimin loved you the most.
perhaps because Jimin retains in his heart all the fragments of celestial particles from the various ancient constellations that contained stories of endless lovers; perhaps the entire cosmos had sprinkled Jimin's soul with the immortal love of the oldest and most faithful gods; perhaps because you were framed by the magic sprinkled by the stars that painted you in fascinating golden and tender glowing tones; or perhaps because Jimin simply loved you and all this emotion was only heightened when the days were more colorful and life was more beautiful.
but what if you were the one who gave beauty to life? would that be possible?
in fact, Jimin couldn't think about his last grey day. when was the last time the turbulent clouds of the world's negativity hung over Jimin? when was the last time Jimin felt the need to grab all the crayons and color his life? he had no answer to such questions; for, it was since you entered Jimin's life that he saw his heart and soul being constantly painted in tones of affection and understanding.
yes. you were the one who gave beauty to life. it was you who painted Jimin's life and it was in the colors of your love and the contours of your passion that Jimin found all the happiness in his life. yes. Jimin loved you the most when life was more beautiful, because it was when he thought about the beauty of the world that he realized that all charm only existed because of you.
you, the cause of all the harmony in Jimin's life. you, the painter of Jimin's soul. you, the one Jimin loved the most.
↬┊TAEHYUNG
when the world seemed too big and all the storms were concentrated in one point, and all the darkness in the universe expanded beyond Taehyung's heart, and all the negativity in the world weighed heavily on his shoulders, Taehyung loved you the most when all the horror of a future and the fear of a past haunted his essence.
like a thick cloud hovering over him, Taehyung felt constantly defeated, as if life itself had given up on him and offered him only remnants of fragments of hope and dreams that didn't even seem real, not when felt and lived by Taehyung. and it was in those moments that Taehyung loved you the most.
fearing that his darkness would expand like a thick fog on winter days, Taehyung decided to love you, wanting to use the remaining fragments in every word exchanged, in every delicate touch; as if opening a window to let all the evil fly away, Taehyung loved you when he was most fearful about you, about his life.
in so much chaos, there was only one certainty. in so much chaos, there was only you.
and it was you that Taehyung had decided to love. and you were the one who brought the glue to put together all the leftover fragments into new hopes and dreams.
when Taehyung was scared, he knew he could love you, because it was in the waves of your love, in the clouds of your affection that he found his safe place, that haven of shelter that was always, and forever, there waiting for Taehyung. simply you. what evil could touch Taehyung when he was protected by the kindness of your heart? what darkness could consume Taehyung if he was enveloped in the light of your essence? what bad luck could strike Taehyung when he was with you, when he was loved by you.
and he just reciprocated. when the world got scarier, Taehyung returned all the love you gave him, always offering more than he could.
↬┊JUNGKOOK
among the smiles of thousands and the dreams of hundreds, amid so many promises and stories, in the refuge of various memories and details, Jungkook loved you the most when he believed.
it was when hope began to dawn on Jungkook that he could love you more. when Jungkook was consumed by that feeling so pure, so intense, only one goal moved Jungkook’s entire body: taking you in his arms, leaving the whole world silent for a few moments, Jungkook loved you.
it was the magic of possibilities, the complex spells of stories that could happen, the delicate dust of memories that could be fabricated — it was the idea of a future that made Jungkook love you more.
Jungkook knew from a very early time that it was you: the way your hearts beat in sync at the end of a date, the way your hands fit together perfectly, the way he only felt like himself by your side — you brought out the best in Jungkook, qualities and flaws that he learned to love because, quite simply, you loved them.
and Jungkook was sure it would always be you. that person who would wake up next to him when he was old and the music was too loud; that person who would hold his hand when the sun said goodbye to the day and tranquility stretched across the horizon.
in every way, you were always the one by Jungkook’s side in every future he could think of. and it was imagining these futures, creating plans for an eternal life by your side that he loved you most.
when Jungkook’s eyes shone most intensely, when his lips uttered the sweetest words, when his hands caressed you with grace — it was in the privacy of your home that Jungkook loved you the most, because it was there that he believed in a true love, in an eternal love that would go far beyond that physical life.

a way to wake | ksj
you're fast asleep and seokjin has to wake you up... an old method he used on his friend eventually comes to mind
description/tags/note: seokijn drabble / fluff + suggestive / established relationship / i had this idea in my head for a while, ever since i found out how jin used to wake up jungkook when they were younger... and i ended up writing the whole thing while stuck in traffic on a random afternoon / i am actively working on til you make it 2 whenever i have the time! i'm glad i took my time with it, i improved it in all this time and am still thinking of ways to improve it little by little / also, i often get ideas or scenarios in my head that could be mini pieces, not even a drabble - some are barely even 500 words. would you guys be interested in stuff like that? lmk!! / anyways, enjoy!! / edit: i edited this fic to make it even more suggestive. they both hint at yn wanting jin to wake her up by touching her.
wc: ~1.3k words
Seokjin didn’t have it in him. You were sleeping so peacefully beside him, as you had through all seven of your alarms, likely finally getting in a good rest after many sleepless nights… and he had to disturb it?
He knew he didn’t really have a choice - you were already running late. It wasn’t going to be a problem for Seokjin really, after you both showered, it’d only take him a couple more minutes at most to change into his suit. You, on the other hand, always needed some extra time to get ready, and that ‘extra’ time was getting shorter and shorter the more he let you sleep.
You’d want him to wake you up, he knew that for certain, as well as the fact that you would probably scold him as well as yourself for your sleeping in. That reminder is what finally got him to nudge and rub your shoulder.
“Jagiya?”
He repeats the action numerous times, raising the volume of his voice every time, but still, you slept.
“Honey,” he calls with a laugh, tickling your side, belly, and thigh. Your elbow twitches once, but never again despite him repeating the action over and over again. “We need to leave soon. You need to wake up now, darling.”
Nothing.
He gets up to pull open a bit of the curtains, letting sunlight stream in and disrupt the darkness of your bedroom.
Still, nothing.
Frustrated now, Seokjin pulls out his phone and quickly takes a photo of you sleeping - just for himself - before opening up the music app. He plays clips of several songs, and all you do is wince, sleeping through them as you did your alarms.
“Are you faking it?” he asks aloud to your sleeping body. “Jagi… if you’re faking sleep, I swear I won’t eat you out tonight. I’m serious.”
Nothing.
That definitely would’ve done it if you were faking sleep. Really, you had no reason to fake it - you'd panic at the mere thought of running late - but Seokjin couldn’t eliminate the possibility entirely. You could be a bit of a brat at times.
He half considers physically pulling you out of bed, throwing a plushie at you, or emptying a water bottle on you, until he remembers a failsafe. A way that couldn’t hurt you like manhandling could, nor anger you with wet pajamas and sheets.
Jungkook’s way.
Seokjin giggles to himself at the thought. He had never tried it on any of his exes in the past, just Jungkook, really. It wasn't uncommon for boys to do such a thing at that age, especially when they were playfully roughhousing, which, with Jungkook, happened every day and at any time of day. Seokjin always had the edge by starting off Jungkook's days just like that - it always did the trick... And considering the other similarities you shared with Seokjin's younger friend, it wasn’t something to dismiss entirely.
Slowly, he turns you until you’re lying entirely on your back against the mattress, facing the ceiling with shut eyes. He moves from his position next to you until he’s over you, straddling your body with a knee planted on either side of your hips. He never took on this position with Jungkook of course, and almost started regretting it already - you felt too good.
“Jagi,” he whispers, pulling away the blanket from your body and letting his hand graze the skin at your collarbone and your stomach by the hem of your pajama top. He kisses your neck once, calling your name. It was the final chance he'd give you before he’d pull the trigger.
And you didn’t budge.
He sighs in defeat, not holding back his smile any longer when he sees your hardened nipples peak through the thin fabric of your top. Ready. Just for him.
With his index finger and thumb on both hands, Seokjin pinches and fiddles with your raised buds for mere seconds before you shoot up, finally awake.
“Wh?! W..what the fuck?! Jin!” you yell, wriggling underneath your fiancé’s body as he laughs, tumbling over you.
“I can’t believe that worked,” he says between his giggles, stopping only when you lazily reach towards his chest. “YA! I only did that to wake you up. You slept through your alarms, bub. We’re running late.”
“WHAT?!” you yell, pushing him off of you and hurriedly searching for your phone. “Why didn’t you wake me sooner?
“I TRIED!” he protests, getting off the bed. “You slept like a rock. Who knew squeezing your nipples would finally do it? It’s what I used to do to Jungkook when we shared a dorm. Though, of course, I used to twist his nipples to the point where he was certain I detached them from his body somehow. I tried handling you with care, princess.”
“Couldn’t you have used your fingers somewhere else, Seokjin? A bit lower perhaps? You know, something Jungkook doesn’t have? Something you could only possibly do with your girlfriend?”
Seokjin stares at you. Despite the fact that you’d looked delectable asleep and under him already, the thought never occurred to him. Of course the thought wouldn’t occur to him. This wasn’t a conversation you had had together and he hadn’t gotten your consent or any hint that it’d be something you would want. Unless of course, he had been the reason you refused to wake up… Seokjin’s mind wanders with a desperate need within him to have the conversation then and there, knowingly unprepared if you’d admitted to it all. Wanting to be woken up that way. A dream, perhaps. They might have just forget the event altogether…
He begins following you around the room with pleas for a moment to talk, but you don’t turn back for a second until it is to do the exact opposite of handling him with care - dragging and pushing him into the bathroom.
Seokjin watches as you undress, doing the same and half hoping for a quickie, considering your eagerness. He almost felt his length begin to harden, but soon you’re pushing him once more, into the tepid shower with a loofah in hand. He tries to put his thought away for now, caring for your body in another way he felt so privileged to do. To maximize efficiency, you wash yourselves and one another before going about your routines at double the pace. Seokjin’s entirely dressed in minutes, save for his suit jacket, while you were still getting ready, wearing a lingerie set underneath a robe. Extra time for you, and extra time for him to admire you.
“Help me with my dress,” you command him, stepping into a dress he promptly zips up, but not before he drinks up the sight of you in brown silk and lace underneath. Stood behind you, he watches as you adorn yourself with jewelry but can’t stop his hand from snaking over your waist, softly cupping your breasts over the fabric of your dress. You don’t react save for a sharp inhale, continuing to adorn your look. You’re so stunning it almost brings him to his knees. He’d happily allow his body to get there, too, kneeling to tease you at the very least and at most, sneaking his head underneath your dress and pulling down your underwear - just for a taste. But instead, he nudges his head in the crook of your neck - softly kissing along the chain of your necklace. “Tell me, honey… were you dreaming of me? Is that why you didn’t want to wake up?”
You roll your eyes, playfully swatting Seokjin’s hand on your waist, his fake arrogance replaced with a wide smile in seconds. “We need to leave.”
“I made a promise,” Seokjin says, wearing his jacket. “While you were asleep. I made a promise.”
“Oh?” you question, spraying perfume on the two of you. The final touch.
“I said that if you were faking sleeping through your alarms, I wouldn’t eat you out tonight.”
The promise makes you stop in your tracks towards the front door, Seokjin getting there first with an intrigued expression on his face when he looks back. “Since you weren’t faking it, that means I have to do it. And since you slept through the many different ways I tried waking you up… I guess it seems I gotta get you to do something else.... gotta get you somewhere.... many different ways tonight…. Oh, and of course, you won't be faking it this time around as well.”
He’s unsure if the redness in your cheeks is heat flooding your system or makeup he simply hadn’t noticed a minute prior. As you make your way towards your fiancee, you see smugness only slightly present on his face, overshadowed by sincerity - that of a genuine promise. Your hands fiddle with Seokjin’s tie before resting on his chest.
“I didn’t realize dreams could manifest into reality that quickly.”
“I knew it,” Seokjin smiles, kissing your hand as his ears go red. The idea of you actually having a wet dream about him this long into your relationship… the fact that you’d dream of him and his body pleasuring yours, after only hours apart in sleep… it sent him into a frenzy.
“I mean, I know I’ll hear it tonight, but I kind of wish you’d been moaning my name in your sleep…”
“Well, you didn’t see my pajama shorts, did you?,” you whisper, flicking Seokjin’s nipple over his shirt. He winces but is quick to disregard the pain - his face flushed, and he suddenly doesn’t know what to do with his hands, trying to reach for your waist, thigh, or ass - you push him away.
“It was a very vivid dream, honey. Don’t you worry… I’ll tell you all the many different ways I want it. The ways you did it… And tomorrow, wake me up like it never ended.”
There it was.
“Can we stay in? We’re late already,” Seokjin whines. “We can get a head start. Morning to morning…” He feeling his knees buckling at the thought, slowly trying to pull you closer to him in persuasion. You don’t budge and open the door instead.
“You know we can’t…. Now’s your time to dream of me.”
The hunger within him only grew, already fantasising of the of the night to come. Now, he was in competition with himself and he’d make sure your reality is far better than anything you could dream of.

“Come on, baby. Play with yourself for me” Jin presses his lips to your cheek. Warm breath fanning over your flushed skin, the prettiest shade of pink.
His cock twitches as your hands slip between your thighs, eyes refusing to meet his as your fingers curl over your covered pussy. So unsure of yourself as the pads of your fingers graze over your clit, not enough to spark any pleasure. Simply grazing over your cunt, no real pressure behind your movements.
You squirm in Jin’s lap, pitiful coo falling from his lips as you press a little harder over your pussy lips, growing desperate in your own arousal.
You swallow down your pride, frustrated tears clinging to your eyes as you look up at him; anything to feel the pleasure that he likes to bring you.
“What’s wrong, baby?” he asks, faux pout pulling at his bottom lip at your clear distress. Poor little pussy throbbing, desperate.
“Wanna feel good” you murmur, hips stuttering upwards against your hand, nothing happening.
Jin hums, a sound you know means you weren’t about to get your way, “Then make yourself feel good”
Your bottom lip pulls out into a pout, index finger pressing a little harder against the soaked crotch of your panties.
“I don’t know how” it comes out as nothing more than a whisper, breathy and quiet. So much embarrassment tearing away at your insides at the fact you didn’t even know how to pleasure yourself. So scared of your own body and the many possibilities of endless pleasure you could be able to bring yourself.
“What was that, baby? Say it louder I couldn’t hear you” his hands slip around your waist, greedy fingers slipping under your shirt, teasing over your bare tits.
“I don’t know how” a little louder, enough for Jin’s cock to throb. Dewy precum leaking into his underwear as your eyes watch his hands, nipples hardening as he barely brushes the pads of his thumbs over your flesh.
“You don’t know how?” he asks, mean little smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
You shake your head, hands now stagnant between your thighs, fingers paused over the growing wet spot; pussy leaking so much slick at the tone of his voice, hands touching you in sensitive places.
“And you want Jinnie to help you?” he presses a kiss to your jaw, holding himself there as you swallow down a whimper.
You nod.
“Want me to teach you how to play with your pretty little clit?” his fingers pinch one of your nipples, tugging a moan out of you.
Your chest stutters for a breath, “Yes, please” you whine, hands slipping to your sides when he pulls your legs open.
Another wave of slick leaks out your pussy when he tugs your panties down, singular hand tugging both your ankles upwards to help you strip for him.
Your cunt clenches, puffy and needy and ever so desperate you can’t find it in yourself to want to close your legs when you pushes them open; hooked on either side of his thighs.
His hands skim down the length of your body, hard cock pressing against your lower back, straining for any sort of friction as he catches sight of your slicked up pussy.
“This right here” his fingers skim over your mound, “is where we’re gonna make you feel really good, okay baby?”
His fingers dip through your folds, wet with your arousal before he pulls back the hood of your clit.
You glance down the line of your body, clenching as the sight of his hand so close to where you want him.
His thumb runs over your clit, hips jutting upwards at the sudden pleasure pulsing down your body.
“You always make such pretty noises when I touch you here” he murmurs, finger dragging over the little bud, dribble of slick falling onto the sheets as he touches you.
He holds your pussy open, swollen little clit throbbing, “Touch yourself, come on my love” he urges, free hand taking hold of yours, pressing your fingers just as he had.
He swallows down a groan at your gentle flick of your clit, the unsure way you drag over it, no doubt only feeling the smallest sparks of pleasure.
It must be how unsure you are of your own body, indirect innocence of it all that has him rutting his hips forward, barely any friction against his straining cock. The mere sight of you probably enough for him to cum in his underwear.
He dips a finger into your pussy as you slowly work out how to touch your clit, pressing a little harder, a little faster as Jin pushes against your sweet spot.
You find yourself slipping your orgasm, thighs quivering. The sweetest little moans tumbling off your lips in quick succession when he flicks at your clit. Your hands grasping the fabric of your shirt as he prolongs your orgasm. Because as much as he loves the idea of you being the master of your own pleasure, there will always be something about him doing it for you, slowly plaguing your mind that has him cumming untouched.

kinktober: day one - 📸(voyeurism) 🏆 first time 🍽️ face sitting
date: October 25, 2024
Tumblr media
Seokjin turned the camera as he sat in his chair. He smirked, allowing his followers to see the smooth planes of his chest.
You nearly drooled as you watched him. Your hand was between your thighs as he pushed his desk chair back to expose his thick, long cock.
Fuck, you knew better than to watch your roommate get himself off, but you couldn’t help yourself.
TastyCake: $50 stroke yourself, please
Seokjin chuckles as he appeases you. His strokes are slow, and languid as he stares into the camera.
“Is this how you like it, TC? Nice and slow, wishing I was fucking into you?” Seokjin asks as he strokes his cock, biting his bottom lip to bite back a moan.
When Seokjin showed you his costume for his stream, you subscribed to his account. At first, you had been bashful, lurking in the comments as your roommate sat in front of the camera in his Sea Captain costume.
“I have a special guest watching tonight. She loves Halloween, and I know she’s shy about watching me, but it’s a dream come true.”
The chat goes wild as they try to guess who it could be, and you cover your face with your hands in your bedroom. You’re wearing your favorite pajama set, lilac shorts with tiny white skulls, and a black and white border on the hem. The shirt is a tank top with the same pattern and a slight v-neckline.
Seokjin reads the comments spiraling on his chat as he leans back, slowly undoing the first two buttons of his uniform. “You’re all so eager to get me naked!”
His laughter fills his bedroom, and you sigh as you watch him, sending a comment to join the others. Seokjin chuckles, shaking his head. You were surprised he’d let you watch tonight, mostly because you were good friends and roommates. He didn’t keep his occupation secret. He’d told you ahead of time what he did for work, and any time he’d go live you could either go out or wear your headphones.
Hobi_core: $200 take your top off, please!
Seokjin shakes his head as he looks straight into the camera. He undoes another button, exposing more of his beautiful chest.
Money pours in, dinging in the chat as Seokjin undoes all the buttons of his uniform. He keeps it on for a moment, showing off his taut abdomen as he grabs a bottle off his desk. Oil. Slowly, oil drips on the planes of his torso, making him shine in front of the camera.
You bite your lip as you watch attentively, legs pressed together as your body grows hot.
The stream goes on until Seokjin is naked in his seat. He winks, pushing his chair back to show off his long, thick cock.
“Fuck,” you curse as you fall back on your bed with your phone in your hand. You slip one hand under your pajama shorts, rubbing between your legs.
Seokjin smirks after hearing you curse.
“Are you touching yourself for me?” Seokjin asks as he slowly strokes himself. “Go ahead and touch yourself nice and slow for me, baby. Say my name.”
“Fuck, Seokjin,” You moan as you rub your clit. Your body grows hot, as you impatiently strip out of your pajamas.
“Fuck, that’s it. Moan for me. I want to hear you,” Seokjin demands as he fucks into his fist. You cry out, legs trembling as you palm your breast. Your phone lies on its side beside you with Seokjin’s dark eyes staring back at you.
“Imagine my hands on your body. My lips kiss their way down until I get between your legs,” Seokjin groans as the tips come flowing in. He bites back a moan of your name, his body jerking in his chair. He wishes you were with him, riding his cock for all its worth.
AngelJM: $100 cum for us! SweetiePie: $50 he’s gonna cum! Beauty123: $20  TastyCake: $150 cum with me, please!
Seokjin groans, his eyes shut as he strokes himself faster. He opens his eyes to stare at the camera as he resists the urge to moan your name for all his viewers to envy.
“Seokjin!” he hears your scream from your bedroom, and it is that dulcet sound that makes him cum in his hand with a curse and a guttural groan.
Tips come pouring in as his viewers announce their orgasms. Seokjin chuckles as he catches his breath. He waves his hand at the camera, promising to return next week before he logs off.
Seokjin cleans up and puts his boxers back on after a quick trip to the bathroom. He heads to the kitchen for a bottle of water before going to your bedroom.
He knocks, and you let him in.
You’re in a t-shirt you stole from him a while back.
“Catch the stream?” Seokjin asks with a smirk.
“I did,” you nod as you sit on your bed.
“What did you think?” Seokjin asks curiously.
You pat your bed, giggling when he lies beside you. You kiss his cheek, then his jaw before kissing his lips. Seokjin moans as you straddle his hips. Your hand moves between your bodies before you slide two fingers inside you. Your thighs shake for a moment before you bring your wet fingers to Seokjin’s lips.
He greedily sucks them into his mouth, cursing before he kisses you.
“Want to join my stream next time?” Seokjin asks with a mischievous smile.
“Think you could handle me?” You tease as you rock your hips against his.
“Why don’t we find out, babe?” Seokjin rolls the two of you over, you gasp in surprise and giggle when your head meets the pillows.
“You’re that eager, huh?”
“You have no idea,” Seokjin states.

a/n: happy jinhomecoming!!! here’s my first jin drabble to celebrate <3
⭒☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆⭒
you had a coffee in one hand and your sketchpad in the other as you tried to navigate your way through campus and the multiple other students.
you’re usually on time to your classes, but you accidentally overslept last night. even though you’re late, you’re also not rushing because your professor will just call you out in front of everyone!
(you really hope she won’t today)
(you can’t blame her, not really, especially when this is not the first time you show up late to class)
you reach the art building 10 minutes after the initial start of your class time and of course, it’s no surprise that your student id struggles to get read by the machine that unlocks the door.
soon enough, you’re able enter the building, speed walking your way towards the classroom.
your phone pings, reading a message jimin: where are you?, you move your fingers quickly across the screen explaining the events of this morning.
when you turn a corner suddenly, you collide with someone, and your coffee falls from your hands. it feels like it all happens in slow motion just like in the movies; the lid pops off and the coffee just goes absolutely everywhere .
“shit,” you mutter softly before speaking up, “i am so so sorry!”
you weren’t even sure what to do. it would probably be better if the ground just opened up and swallowed you whole.
you turn up to look at the person you collided with. this guy was gorgeous. like really gorgeous. his skin was golden and smooth looking, he had plump lips, and he was tall with dark hair, a few strands of hair fell over his face as he looked at you.
you can only assume he’s new to the campus, because you would’ve definitely noticed him around
you cleared your throat, “hmm, that was my breakfast.” you look back down to see the coffee has landed on this guy’s all white shoes.
the tall man chuckles, “and this seems to be my new shoe polish.” you bring your hand up to your mouth in embarrassment, “i’m really sorry. i didn’t even-“
before you can finish he cuts you off, “don’t worry, i can just get another pair. i do think i’ll have to owe you another one” he says referring to the spilled coffee cup.
you blink up at him, “is that a way of asking me to get coffee with you?”
the guy shrugs his shoulders and smirks, “depends on how you take it, i’m seokjin”
seokjin holds out his hand, and you shake your head slowly as you grab his hand, “y/n”
you smirk slightly, “and you said you owe me one, meaning you get it for me, not with me”
his hand holds onto yours a bit longer, “come on, are you so busy you can’t get one coffee with me, just one day?”
you imagine how you must look in front of him, your hair is a bit messy from sleeping through your alarm, eye bags from the constant late nights, and you’re wearing basic jeans and an oversized shirt you wear when you know you have to sit and just draw in class that day.
you cross your arms “no, i’m turning corners at the speed of light for fun and not because i’m overwhelmed with the amount of assignments i have to get completed.”
seokjin looks down at you with a cocky smirk, “so you’re admitting that this was your fault?”
you purse your lips together, “you know what? you’re 6ft body should’ve been watching where you’re going!” you breathe deeply, “also you’re making me late to class!”
you grab the strap of your bag and adjust it to a comfortable feel. and he speaks up again, “so you’ll let me make it up to you? for the coffee?”
you chuckle, “you just don’t know when to quit, huh?”
he does that stupid cocky smirk again, “no, not really.”
you remove your bag from your shoulder, digging in the pockets for a pen and piece of paper. you smile as you pull out a sticky note and quickly write down your number, you hand it to seokjin and he fiddles it between his fingers
“i’ll text you so i can owe you that coffee, y/n”
you feel your cheeks heat as you nod, “bye seokjin”
you turn around and continue towards your classroom, and you swear you could feel his eyes watching you until you turned another corner
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
you shortly make it to your classroom, quietly opening the door to see wooden stands and chairs aligned in a half-circle.
your eyes scan the room frantically before landing eyes on your best friend, jimin, who waves at you to quickly get in while your professor has her back to the door.
you make it to your seat before she faces the classroom, “we have 3 full hours today, so i highly suggest you use your time wisely!”
she makes her way around the lineup of chairs, widening her eyes at some of the students.
“i expect each and everyone of you to apply the techniques we have learned so far to this project,” she clears her throat, “and as you all know, we will have a nude live model this week, so please make him feel comfortable and welcomed.”
you place your sketchpad on the stand, and open to a page, then you reach into your bag to get out some essentials, and you hear the door creak open and footsteps echo the room.
you hear your classmates clap for the model as you place your things on the edge of the stand. your relatively large sketchpad blocks you from seeing the model, but you know he’s made his way to the small platform that has a chair for the model to sit or stand in different positions.
your professor speaks up, “i’m sorry, what was your name again?”
“it’s seokjin.”
your eyes widened at the model’s response. there was no way this was the same seokjin that you had bumped into and spilled coffee all over his shoes and who you gave your number to…
and now you were going to be drawing and detailing his naked body.
you peak your head to the side, and there he is, in nothing but a white robe.
“seokjin, we’re ready whenever you are” your professor says, nodding and starts making her way to the back of the class.
your professor stops in front of you, “you need a better view y/n” she whispers, moving your stand a little to the right.
“oh, thank you” you smile at her, and now all you can think is how he’s most likely going to notice you.
you’re not sure what’s worse; him seeing you before or after he takes his robe off.
seokjin stretches a bit, cracking his knuckles and turning his head from side to side and you grab your pencil, flicking it on your thigh.
seokjin grabs the tie around his waist and just before he pulls it to loosen it, his eyes meet yours.
his eyes widened slightly and his cheeks turned a shade of pink.
seokjin looks down and chuckles to himself, shaking his head slightly. but he takes a deep breath and pulls the robe tie loose letting it fall on the platform,
seokjin gets on the platform and sits on the chair, crossing his arms and he bends one leg and sticks the other one straight out, his head is facing the right side of the classroom.
“okay, class, let’s begin!” your professor chirps from the back of the classroom and displays a timer on the projector.
you grab your pencil and begin to start outlining his proportions. you take a good look at seokjin, he’s got broad shoulders and defined abs, you also take notice in the small tattoo on the side of his waist. you also can’t help but notice the tint of pink still on his face.
there’s a big window that lets in natural sunlight so you focus on how the sun casts shadows on his nose and eyebrows and the way the light emphasizes his biceps and shoulders.
you managed to get a rough sketch down, and you tried your best to get the shape done right, erasing and re-sketching the lines and shapes that didn’t look the best.
it wasn’t long until seokjin stretched again, he stretched out his arms and slowly moved his head, his eyes searched the room until they found yours again.
his eyes stayed focused on you as he got back into position, and all you could do was smile shyly before returning your attention to the canvas.
you knew seokjin was watching you, you could feel his eyes on you as you kept sketching him.
and the next time you looked over at him, he chuckles, almost as if he wanted to laugh. you’re not sure why, but now you start to blush.
you knew you were gonna have to start sketching the rest of his body, his naked body, but just how were you gonna do it when his eyes are on you?
you take a deep breath, moving past his stomach and you begin sketching out his lower body, starting with his hips.
you could feel your cheeks heating up, and god, you hope seokjin isn’t too weirded out by this whole situation and decides to never speak to you again.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
the 3 hours seem to have gone fairly quickly, and while your professor dismissed the class, seokjin grabs the robe and puts it back on. your eyes follow as he makes his way back to a little room where he can change.
you knew jimin had to head to work early today so you say goodbye and watch as he walks out of the class with majority of the students
you take your time putting your materials away, in hopes of seeing seokjin before you leave campus.
you grab your bag, and place it on your shoulder and you see seokjin coming out in his regular clothes with an embarrassed smile.
you cross your arms, “so you’re a naked model huh?”
seokjin laughs, “you think i go around telling everyone i find beautiful that i do naked modeling for college students?”
you shrug your shoulders, “so you think i’m beautiful?”
seokjin puts his hands up in defense, “you know i usually take someone out before i let them see me naked”
“well, you do still owe me that coffee, and this was my last class of the day.” you raised your eyebrows at him, seokjin just chuckles before nodding his head, and you both makes your way out of the art building

Your wish is my command. Hope you enjoy <3
It wasn’t fair.
The moment you walked into the studio, his once stoic expression slips, camera lights flashing and capturing the moment his eyes meet yours and he’s enraptured.
Once reprimanded earlier by the photographer for being stiff, his posture now relaxes subconsciously the closer your form gets. The subtle clacking of your heeled shoes echoes across the marbled flooring in a soothing rhythm that matches the beating of his heart.
Eyes softening at the way you intentionally give a small smile or wave to staff you recognize as you pass them on your way to your superstar boyfriend — he’s never been more hooked.
One final flash of light and the photographer sighs good-naturedly once he realizes the subject of his photos is no longer interested in looking into the lens of his camera.
“Let’s take a break, yeah?” His voice bellows in the large space easily to Jin and staff that causes Jin to snap his head back to the photographer with wide, apologetic eyes, having forgotten the reason entirely why he was even here.
“I’m so sorry—,” Jin bows at the waist once, twice, hands clasped in prayer as the words spill from his lips and he lets out a nervous chuckle.
He waves his hand lazily at Jin, eyes crinkling with mirth as he scoffs lightly.
“Who am I to get in the way of young love, hm? Go. Shoo.”
Jin gives him another deep bow of gratitude and the minute he’s straightened back up does he pivot on one of his shiny dress shoes, hip nearly colliding into the corner of the desk he was using as a prop for the photo shoot in his hurry to meet you.
When he finally reaches you, your back is to him, your attention being drawn away from him momentarily by one of the make up artists as you energetically question them on a product you’ve had your eye on for awhile and thought about purchasing for your own collection at home.
He takes a moment just standing there behind you, eyes raking over the outfit your wore today. He gives himself a mental pat on the back for choosing said outfit for you this morning and thanking his past self at how well it fits your perfect body shape and clings to you in all the right places.
A soft exhale against your neck is what has you pausing mid conversation, angling your body slightly to see out of your peripheral, eyes finding the warmth of Jin’s in a split second.
The wide smile that greets him only makes the one he was previously wearing grow more, your hands already reaching up to gently grasp his neck has him bending at the waist to meet your short stature and seal the kiss he knows you both need eagerly.
“I thought you said you wouldn’t be able to make it?” The question is spoken between light pecks, finishing at the end with a deep kiss that has you arching into him, your body naturally seeking that closeness — the intimacy.
You hum in response, the small vibration tickles the junction between his neck and shoulder blade as you nose your way into the side of his neck after you separate from the kiss, the need to still be close lingering, fingers playing with the strands of silky hair you can reach in this position absentmindedly.
“You can thank Barry from IT, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to fix the problem with the laptop and finish my work on time.”
His hands squeeze the soft flesh of your hips, sliding underneath the loose fabric of your shirt easily that makes you shiver at the cold contrast of his hands against your warm skin, a slight squeak breaking through your lips that has puffs of laughter escaping his lips, the action causing the hair his mouth is currently pressed against to move with his breath.
“Remind me to send a thank you card then, their expertise allowed me to be graced with your presence today.”
A smile adorns your lips, eyes fluttering shut once again when Jin begins to sway you both side to side, two lovers basking in the moment of just being together, the noise and bustle around you dimming to nothing but a low murmur.
“We start again in five, people to your places please!”
The announcement from the loudspeaker makes Jin groan in detest, arms wrapping tightly around your waist to push you impossibly more into him, even as you attempt and fail to pull away from him.
“Jinnie, you have to go, you have a job to do baby.”
“I don’t want to.”
He whines in protest, especially when you’re able to break free from his stubborn grip, gently removing his arms from around you to hold onto his large hands with your small ones between you both. The pout on his supple lips has the corner of yours quirking up at the adorable rebelliousness that seems to be shining through his usually professional demeanor in front of you.
“I’ll wait here until you’re done, okay?” His eyes widen at your statement in sheer joy at the prospect of having you remain close, until your next words accompanied by a pointed finger in his toned chest has him pouting once more. “But, you have to be focused! I will not be responsible in endangering your career cause you can’t keep your eyes off of me.”
The pointed look you give him has him grinning sheepishly, and nodding in agreement to your terms.
“Okay, baby, okay.”
Squeezing his hands one time, you let him go, playfully pushing on his chest to turn him around and back towards the photo set.
“Now, go go go!”
He begins to jog a few feet ahead of you, then stops, turning chin over shoulder to see you standing there and watching him with your arms crossed in front of your chest, eyes full of tenderness and pride. It only makes what he says next fuel your ever evolving devotion tenfold.
“I love you, y/n.”
Before he can hear your reply, a member of staff has him steered back around and out of sight within seconds, but you know in your heart he knows the truth of yours.
“I love you too, Jinnie.”

The bus was nearly empty.
Just you and two strangers with two remaining stops on the lined route. From your place at the back of the vehicle life seemed to have stopped and you were sort of trapped in the legato vibrato of the RnB beats playing in your ears. But you were here alone with rows of vacant seats ahead of you — while your eyes aimed at the everlasting fields of green pasture filled with an abundance of trees. The vermilion leaves swayed to the rhythm of the wind as the cool draft swept by gently.
And while you sat inside the muggy bus you couldn’t help but feel like those leaves who have lost their way from home. The ones who we ripped away from their branches and were on an aimless journey only to end up on the ground. All but forgotten and only to be stepped on and torn to shred in the process.
That was you. In a stump, torn and forgotten.
You didn’t always hold that ideal synonymous with your name but the sparse roots in the. . circumstances of life were less than perfect and while you tried to drive down the highway of your early twenties on a steady road there were just numerous obstacles hurdled in your path. Some of which affected your life greatly and derailed you from what you believed to be intended and bestowed upon you.
Back then, you were twenty-one just fresh off culinary school with zealous ambitions and a hunger for success that gnawed at you eagerly. You had a drive ignited in you like an overbearing fire incapable of being put out. Today, that fire lacked its fuel and there were just clouds of smoke left behind while the ashes of the once burning wood were scattered around.
Everything in your life has gone to shit.
In just the matter of months everything has gone to absolute shit.
You couldn’t hear much, so you weren’t alerted to the mechanical voice triggered by the yellow pull cord. You weren’t quite sure if it was due to the music blanketing your hearing or if your sense had gone completely haywire but you couldn’t hear it. Not at all. Your eyes however could see the rectangular screen displaying the ‘stop now’ bold red letters at the front of the bus and as soon as the doors opened. The doors of the bus door opened and closed and quickly the two other passengers on the bus hopped off leaving you entirely alone. This precise moment; these surroundings, took you right back to the big city and its maze-like roads. It sent you right back to the exact time when you felt like this, entirely desolate and empty in all the worst ways possible.
You hated it. It was suffocating and you could feel the way your airways began to constrict. You didn’t like that feeling — being alone. Yet, it always crept up on you like a lingering shadow.
It was always fucking there.
It wasn’t always that way. Before your sporadic travels to the isolated roads adorned by thousands of skyscrapers — back at home things were different: you had a loving family, and you were wrapped up in the warm embrace of your parents and siblings. A hug so tight sometimes you could still feel their phantom body heat warming up your skin. Their touch was your medicine and with their clutch you were cradled right into a cure for wellness.
While you craved the warm nature of their love. You couldn’t head back home. Not after descending so harshly from the disappointment of your crushed dreams. You had pierced through earth’s stratosphere and crashed your metaphorical ship right in the middle of nowhere.
You were astray. Off-course. Adrift.
You couldn’t head back home.
It’s only been six months since you left home.
Just half a year. And everything went to shit.
Though you knew your parents weren’t usually the type to be painted with looks of disappointment — you knew that right below disappointment sat a worse expression, one you weren’t quite ready to experience just yet: commiseration. The awful and dreadful imbue of pity.
Their youngest had failed. Miserably. You could already see their torn expressions dashed in the horrid tones of black and white, maybe even a bit of gray. It was bad enough in the flashes of your imagination.
God, no. You couldn’t head back home.
Instead you ran as far away from home as you could and headed towards a small town. It was nearly invisible on the map unless under the stern squinting of the eye. But you figured a scenic change would likely bring forth a change of spirits. Perhaps, being enveloped in the vibration of the soft melody coming from the crashing of the oceans waves and the aroma of the tide in this new town could become your new remedy for the soul.
As you neared the houses toned with aquamarine, salmon pink, and citrus yellow wood sidings the bus began braking softly nearing its final stop.
“This is the end of the road young lady,” the bus driver announced as you peeled your headphones off, placing them around your neck.
“Yes. Sorry,” you quickly stood up, clinging your backpack onto your back and hurdling the duffel bag over your right shoulder causing one of the straps to snap. Great. You sighed, “thank you so much.”
“No need to apologize,” he waved off as soon as you stepped off onto the asphalt, “enjoy your stay.”
Using the navigation on your phone turned out to be much more complicated than you’d originally thought it would be. There were countless seafood shops and though the repetition of the color on the houses was initially very appealing to the eyes you quickly realized how much harder it made it to differentiate and determine your precise location.
Okay, currently, you stopped in front of the ice cream shop. To the right there was the souvenir store, the convenience store and the flower shop, along with dozens of other stores scattered all around — all of them sat parallel  to the boardwalk right near the beach shore right across the street.
Kim’s Aboard. You hummed looking down at the opened up map. The blue dot was highlighted. . Still. So you were at your destination according to this, except, you were not. This was way harder than navigating your way through the big city for the first time all of those months prior. Who would’ve thought small towns would be the cherry right on top of your greatest failures. Just what you needed. What the fuck.
Sitting on the curb you felt defeated. Feeling as if life had taken control of your life while  you were the punching bag just waiting for another jab.
“Fuck this,” you shrugged off the duffel bag, sinking your head into your lap, “fuck life. Fuck it all.”
Minutes passed on but you remained. There. On that lonely sidewalk. Not empty but again lonely. Fuck, you didn’t care okay? You were well past the point of feeling fazed, moving through life but not living, finally succumbing to the presumed complications of your days — officially, having given up mentally and physically through and through.
You simply did not care. Nope.
You didn’t. .
Then, you felt a single droplet land on your skin. From overhead the sky was being consumed by the gloomy darkness, and soon enough you knew the clouds would begin their torrential weeping. Very soon.
Okay. Maybe you did care after all.
“I get it,” you hissed up at the heavens, “I am damned. Doomed. Cursed. I get it.”
You probably looked mad. Well, more on the edge of insane. Whatever, it was. It likely did not look good at all.
“Uh,” he approached you in paced steps but the squeaking of his black finishing boots gave him away. Initially, your eyes were averted to the leaden clouds, but quickly, your eyes met him as he kneeled right beside you. The simplicity of his appearance (composed of dark denim washed overalls and absolutely nothing under — but the radiance of his honeyed complexion) drew you nearer to him. “Are you doing okay, miss?”
His voice was sweeter than the composition of ballads and while the crashing of the ocean waves against the shore constituted its very own euphonious sonnet, in the shortness of six words listening to him was already so much better — so pleasing.
“I-uh,” surely you remember how to talk. . Right? “I was just looking for the apartment I’ll be staying at for the next few days but I’m a bit lost.”
“Here,” he sat beside you and his shoulder brushed yours continuously. It was distracting. Very distracting, “The trick is the town is circular shaped. Sort of like a big round about. There’s one road throughout and if you follow it through, you’ll see everything you need to see.”
You hummed, signaling you understood his breakdown in small towns for dummies, “So, are all of the stores on this main road?”
“Most,” he said, adjusting his blue cap now having it face backwards. His toned bicep flexed slightly when he reached up, “but there are some down the road. What store are you trying to find?”
When you turned towards him you swore there was a glimmer of light shining down on him like a spotlight — except, that was impossible. The day was now gloomy robbing the sun of its usual glimmer. But, you weren’t crazy. You’re living it, clearly experiencing the way his radiant glow nearly blinds you.
You were clearly gawking at him. Too immersed in the perfection outlined in his features. The richness of his dark chocolate eyes seemed as sweet as a candy bar, his full lips and the apples of his cheeks carried the same elements of the carmine mimicking the vibrancy of roses.
You cleared your throat forcing yourself to finally rip your stare away from him, “Kim’s Abroad,” you began, “seafood store and restaurant combo but also Airbnb adjacent.”
He chuckled, again a sound so light and airy it traveled in your inner ear like the whistles of a peaceful tune, “Kim, huh?”
You opened the Airbnb app, moving the phone over for him to get a better look, “Yeah, Kim is what it says,” you confirmed,
“Yeah, it does,” he looked at your phone screen, “but you’re in the wrong place.”
“I’m in the wrong town?”
His lips were still sculpted into a smile. Was your demise an amusement to him? You were almost offended but dimples were just so mesmerizing as they impaled his bread cheeks and you found some ease in them. Momentarily. But the man sitting beside didn’t go back on his word and suddenly there was no denying the rising panic bubbling deep in your stomach. There was no question that your luck has always been absolute shit but you never imagined it could extend this far. It never occurred to you that something like this could happen.
You laughed and you weren’t sure if you actually found the situation amusing or if it was only a coping mechanism. Who knows perhaps you misheard what he said — Yeah, you probably. . Definitely, did, “please tell me you’re fucking with me. .”
“Yeah, I’m fucking with you,” he smirked. The curves of his stretched lips now synonymous with the equivalent of a warm embrace yet the playfulness of a jest, “I’m Seokjin. Kim Seokjin. Kim’s Abroad is my uncle’s shop.”
“Oh,” you finally exhaled, releasing the breath you didn’t even realize you had been holding in the first place, “you got me good.”
“Did I scare you?” He stood from the sidewalk and dusted off the bits of sand and gravel from his bottom.
“Did you scare me?” you huffed, “you damn near killed me.”
“Well, technically, you are in the wrong place,” he stretched his hand out for you to grab and you did.
“Don’t even start,” you scoffed playfully.
“But—“ he cut in, “you’re just on the wrong part of town. Come on. Before it actually starts raining.”
“You have a car?”
He shrugged, “something like that.”
Seokjin did not have a car. You’d digested the grim realization when you two of you walked to the nearby parking lot and instead of approaching the valet he walked the opposite way in the direction of the bicycle rack.
The bike chained to the rack was blue. . a sapphire which mimicked the color of the ocean waves. It also looked pretty new and like a very competent mode of transportation as everything in this town seemed just a walk or quick ride away.
“Hope you don’t mind but I’m not much of a car person,” he emphasized the word car highlighting the stance of his words. And you couldn’t help but wonder why it was — that he wasn’t much of a car person — but you didn’t ask, shoving the plethora of questions right back down your esophagus determining you didn’t need to know. You didn’t know him. . Besides, he was practically your landlord.
“Of course,” you smiled, tightening the straps on your bag to get it to sit higher on your back, “should I put this here?” you slid your duffel bag off and pointed at the red wagon attached to the bike.
“Let me help,” Seokjin was toned and built as fuck. You had not really noticed when he approached you ten minutes prior, but now? Now, he was kneeling right in front of you using a variation of ropes to secure your bag in the wooden attachment. And while you hadn’t meant to stare you couldn’t resist the urge to drink in every detail of his every move.
It was truly like observing an artwork in some museum. . except you had to keep reminding yourself that he was real — This was real. His muscles flexed whenever he tugged on the rope to verify its tightness and his fingers worked diligently to produce an effective knot. His long long fingers.
Your mind couldn’t help but wonder which other activities he indulged in containing those slender digits of his.
No.
No.
Focus on yourself; focus on your own journey. You shook your head in an attempt to push those beguiling thoughts aside.
“Ready?” he asked, straddling the bike and signaling you to hop on the pegs. You simply nodded hoping on, placing your palms on his broad shoulders for support. The contact felt as if his skin had been ignited with tiny strings of fire — kind of like you hovering your palms over a burner on the stove.
It was distracting; the way the heat particles traveled past the layers of your skin warming you to the touch.
It was so fucking distracting the way your touch felt at ease against him.
“This is a very small town but we have a lot to offer,” Seokjin peddled down the street — already sounding mildly out of breath having to carry both your weights.
Your eyes settled on your surroundings; the road ahead, “I can see that. We have the beach on our left and a cozy vintage town to our right. Believe me, it is all I truly need at this very moment.”
“What are you trying to escape from reality?”
“More like—“ as the bike moved deeper into town and against the late afternoon wind you felt a wave of relief in your sweaty scalp and forehead, “I’m trying to get away from it forever.”
He chuckled, “forever’s a long time.”
“Forever is categorized differently for each person,” you shrugged, “my forever could end tomorrow whereas yours could run its course for an abundance of years.”
“I suppose you’re right. .” he said, “but tomorrow is also forever away.”
“Tomorrow is forever away.” you repeated.
Within the cold avenues of the buzzling city tomorrow would be a blink away — sparing all extra hours, minutes and seconds right into oblivion. Tomorrow would arrive in the blink of an eye and twenty four hours would perish right into nothing. However, this town seemed different. An hour here has felt like a wrinkle in time and you were comfortably tucked under that luxury of time.
Sparing time to stop and take everything in and time to breathe. You were spared all of the time in the world to breathe. Finally.
Back in the city your life had been sort of a blur. The foundation of your days were composed of half assed obligations. Such as getting up to the boisterous roars of the city (which you hated), getting dressed in clothes you hated all to keep up appearances (which you hated), attending classes in an attempt to perfect your culinary skills (which you hated) and then finally going to work at that fucking restaurant until the late hours of the evening (which you guessed it — you fucking hated). There was nothing to look back on and long for and certainly nothing that you missed as everything you ever dedicated a spec of your time and energy to never truly made you happy.
There was always a vast hole in your heart. It was huge and it only ever grew in width and no efforts ever minimized its size. The pain was great and all you could ever do was endure.
The ride so far had been quiet and you found peace in that. It gave you a bit of time to swim in your own thoughts for a bit — something you haven’t done in quite some time. Perhaps, substituting the rustling tracks of the subway and the constant beeping of car horns for the songs of the sea would do you some good. It already kind of was.
“You doing okay up there?” he asked, continuing to peddle his way down the black paved road.
“I’m doing okay,” you reassured him.
“I figured you’d just been taking everything in,” he said, “you’ve been a bit quiet.”
“Yeah, I’m definitely admiring and loving the scarcity of skyscrapers. I like the build of the ranch-style homes. It gives the curb appeal sort of like a homey feel,” your eyes remain glued to your surroundings. While Seokjin was a sight on his own this town — you were beginning to fall in love with.
“I agree. It’s the primary reason why I’ve yet to leave,” he parked his bike on the bike rack right in front of the two-story building. The sign read, ‘Kim’s Abroad’ in big red letters engraved in a baby blue outline against the white exterior. “We have arrived.”
“Seafood restaurant and market,” you mumbled reading the tiny black font displayed right below the vibrant sign.
“All things seafood restaurant and market,” he repeated, getting a hold of your luggage from his wagon, “we are connoisseurs. Don’t you forget that.”
You giggled, “Kim Seokjin the seafood connoisseur. Noted.”
Kim’s Abroad sat on the other side of town. Just a couple of steps away from the blue waves of the ocean crashing against the golden shores. Approximately, a ten minute bike ride away from the main pier. This side of town seemed like a hidden gem, like a slice of privacy for the locals. Though the sidewalks remained occupied with on-goers, it wasn’t as congested or loud as where you began your journey earlier that afternoon.
Up above the weather seemed to settle down as the nimbostratus clouds were being swept away by lighter; fluffier; whiter clouds highlighting the cerulean hue of the late summer afternoon. The sun also seeped through and already your skin prickled with the rising heat.
“Let me help with that,” you reached out to grab your backpack.
“Help?” his eyes wide with shock, “you’re our first guest to offer assistance with their own luggage. I like you.”
“I’ll wear the stamp of approval proudly.”
Walking into the restaurant was like entering the multiverse of culinary delicacy. The aroma of the various seafood dishes had your stomach grumbling as hunger began its loud roar. The set-up didn’t allow much space for dining in which explained the small tables and chairs lined up outside. Seokjin walked right up to the counter with a sign right above the register which read, order here. To the right of that there was a display with numerous varieties of fish, shrimp, clams, oysters, lobsters with small chalkboards identifying the prices per pound.
The interior design of the small shop was fairly simple yet very charming. There were wall decor items hung on the white walls in the shape of different sea creatures and fishing nets drapped from the ceiling.
Seokjin signaled you over to join him by the register, which you did.
“Our summer neighbor has finally joined us. She’ll be staying for the summer.” he turned towards you. Quickly, you nodded confirming.
“Hi, I’m Seokjin’s uncle, Gong. Nice to meet you,” he stretched his hand out over the counter which you quickly shook. Gong wore a tender eye smile and pearly white teeth that glimmered under the sneaky rays of the sun invading the shop. You introduced yourself hoping to reciprocate the same amiability.
“It’s nice to meet you too,” you added, “I’m really looking forward to spending the summer.”
“We’re glad to have you give our little town a chance,” he said softly, “Seokjin, why don’t you show her where she’ll be staying. Then, you can come down and grab some food for the two of you.”
Tumblr media
The residential area was deeper into the property. Just a couple of feet behind, Kim’s Abroad. You’d notice there was a continuation of the color white — it was neutral. But also made the small living space seem a bit bland. Colorless walls encaged a small kitchen which led right into the living room. There were two medium sized oval windows facing the ocean. A view you knew you’d spend a lot of time admiring and never getting tired of.
Seokjin signaled over to the wooden door separating the bedroom from the living space. The bedroom was huge compared to your dorm back in University, and it was accompanied by an on suite bathroom.
Thank God.
If there was something you hated while in school it was the fucking communal bathrooms. The working around schedules to avoid the crowded showers, having to do your. . . Well having to take a shit (practically in public) was less than ideal and having to share bathrooms amongst ten other girls was not the most hygienic living situation you’ve had to live through.
After dropping your bags near the bedroom door you plopped down on the full sized bed. You closed your eyes as tiredness weighed heavy on your eyelids.
With the fluffiness of the mattress carrying your body, you sensed the way every bone, every muscle and every inch of you became cumbersome against your better judgment.  Though you tried and tried to sit up you couldn’t. It was so fucking impossible. . As if there was a ton sitting on your abdomen preventing you from doing anything.
You were exhausted. Numb to your surroundings and your thoughts. You had honestly forgotten Seokjin was still in the room with you — that was until you felt the mattress dip right beside you. His body heat radiated off of him in waves and the warm sensation comforted you closer to a deep slumber.
“Are you still up to eating or are you too tired?” Seokjin mumbled. His voice, so soft and poise almost as if he was afraid to blow your tympanum.
Your eyes still remained closed. Behind them there was an invasive darkness — much darker than the night sky but there was also peace and all you wanted to do was to succumb to that very feeling.
It kept you high and you felt light as a feather. You had never engaged in drug usage but you imagined this is what it felt like to be intoxicated.
“I’m hungry but I’m also so tired,” you yawned almost instinctively, “I just want to sleep forever and ever.”
“Sleeping forever would mean. . Well, you know. .” You know what he implied and though, that’s not initially what you meant you wouldn’t mind that either. Sleeping forever was peaceful and would spare you the burden of figuring out whatever the fuck your life has turned into. Imagine falling into a deep slumber and roaming over into the afterlife peacefully; serenely. Or maybe not. There were a million thoughts etched onto your brain and while you tried to make sense of it all, you couldn’t. You didn’t mind it but there was also a tug at your heart just urging to allow yourself to see things through.
“I just meant. .” you paused, “I just meant I’m really really tired.”
“I know. .” he stood from where he sat on the bed and your eyes met him by the door. “Are you still down to get food though?”
“Have you heard my stomach?” His smile was contagious as you'd quickly learned as a smile was painted on your lips as soon as his lips carved into a bright beam almost as illuminating as the golden star prancing in the late afternoon sky, “I think hunger trumps sleep at this moment.”
That was a fib. But you didn’t really feel like being left alone with your thoughts at the moment — they were loud, overwhelming and deprecating.  To be honest you’d been lonely for way too long and you hated basking in the solitude of your own company. It’s not what you wanted or what you needed.
Perhaps, tomorrow will be kinder.
Tumblr media
The sun was less brutal now.
Likely, because the sun was en route to kiss the ocean as it continued to move closer and closer towards the horizon. The blazing star still had quite a journey ahead but it no longer sat in the middle of the sky shining down with its stinging rays.
Late afternoons were always your favorite part of the day. Back in the city the congestion of buildings on every street wouldn’t allow for this kind of life; for a scenery like this — and again you began to feel at ease in your heart. You love it. The loud cackling of the neighborhood kids, the sound of skateboards, skates and bikes against the pavement, the smells of backyard barbecues and the briny waters just ahead, which was technically your front yard for the summertime.
Back in the metropolis you’d learn to suffer through each passing day. Falling into the safety nets of routines and hoping for a better tomorrow.
There was never fulfillment or satisfaction, just emptiness. A profound and very overbearing emptiness that swallowed you from the inside right into a dark pit of nothingness.
“I hope you’re not vegan or anything,” Seokjin took a seat right beside you on the ledge of the building, your legs dangling from the edge, “otherwise we’d have to head back into town for some more dining options.”
“I’m not vegan,” you confirmed.
“Good, cause uncle Gong made us some crab cakes. He swears they’re his specialty but it’s my recipe,” he beamed.
“Bullshit. .” I raised my eyebrow at his claim.
“I’m serious!” he took a bite of the fritter, “well actually it was my mom’s but she taught me how to make it.”
Was. Past tense. Did he realize he’d refer to his mother’s existence in such a way? He must’ve. Then, that would mean she’s no longer here. . No longer in Seokjin’s life. Did she abandon him or did she pass away? There were a million questions roaming around in your head but again you didn’t dare ask.
Though, it was hard to imagine him caged in the torment of sorrow. Sure, everyone experiences it sooner or later but it just didn’t seem like him. You’d met him just a couple hours prior and you could already tell Seokjin was a bright soul. With a tender gaze that wrapped you up like a warm blanket and a smile that could ease any burden or pain even in the absence of words.
Already, you’d felt closer to him than anyone you had crossed paths back in the despondent sidewalks of the city.
Seokjin is a friend. He is your friend.
“Well, her recipe is amazing,” you utter in between bites, “so thank you for passing it on to your uncle to make.”
“It was my pleasure,” he smiled.
A brief silence fell between the two as you finished your meal but you didn’t mind the lack of words. It was just the two of you, the lullaby of the waves, and the orange and pink hues set the sky ablaze as the sun continued its journey sinking deeper into the horizon.
Life here seemed to come right out of a painting — sort of like those you would see hung on the wall of an art exhibit and be completely divulged into, finding shelter behind the intricate lines and vibrant colors.
“Where are those kids headed?” you asked, nodding towards the kids speeding down the street in skates and skateboards.
“There’s a skatepark down the street,” he said, “I ride my bike there all the time whenever I wanna run away from kitchen duty.”
“Kitchen duty?” you tittered.
“You think I’m bullshitin’ again don’t you?”
“You said it, not me.”
He shook his head, laughing quietly at your playful banter, “do I not seem like a chef who also happens to be into bmx?”
“I’d have to see you partake in both of those activities to believe it,” you shrugged.
“I’m on prep duty early morning so I’ll get back to you on the cooking thing but we can begin with the skate park tomorrow,” Seokjin offered.
“Tomorrow it is.”
Seokjin swung back and forth, he seemed to have something on his mind but his lips remained sealed until finally he spoke, “What about you? Do you have any hobbies?”
“Yeah,” you picked at the blue chipped nail polish on your nails, “I went to culinary school actually. I was a sous chef back in the city but I was fired.”
“Oh, shit,” Seokjin’s eyes were the size of pool balls, “Led me right into the lion’s den. Didn’t you? Now, I can’t cook for you. You’d put me on the chopping block.”
“I promise I won’t,” you clasped your hands together, “Contrary to what you might believe, cooking is not my passion.”
“Parents?” he didn’t need to elaborate, you understood perfectly.
“Kind of. .” You moved your head from side to side, “They didn’t really influence my decision but my dad’s a chef and I thought I needed to be just like him.”
“And you learned you didn’t?”
“Exactly,” you nodded.
“So what’s your true passion?”
“Art. I’ve always wanted to illustrate books,” you turned away sensing you’d peel too much back. Perhaps, you have. Perhaps, not but no one had ever asked you that before. No one has ever shown even the slightest interest in learning what fills your heart with joy and consumes your days with a sense of accomplishment, “it was my minor in college.”
“You should go for it.”
“You don’t even know if I’m good..”
“I don’t need to,” he tilted his head in your direction, he was glowing — truly the textbook definition of beauty, “I can see the way your eyes twinkle at the mere mention of it. You should do what makes you happy.”
“What makes you happy?”
“This place.” His words weren’t elaborate yet somehow you kind of understood exactly what he meant.
“What makes you stay?”
“That’s what keeps me here,” he nodded signaling out to something in front of him but you couldn’t really decipher what he was pinpointing.
Finally, your thoughts settled, “the people?”
“The tide,” his chestnut eyes remained on the scenery laid out in front of the two of you. Then he continued, “it’s always serene; peaceful. And even in the havoc of storms the ocean manages to sing a tune that fills me with comfort. It calms me down.”
“The tide.” You mumbled in solidarity with his words. Because it was true. The ocean was a music box kept open and the more you sat and listened the more at ease you felt.
As if you were meant to be here, like you belonged here, right where you were.
Tumblr media
Remnants of the night before flashed in your mind and you remember Seokjin’s sweet words as he communicated that the roof was your official hideout as it was closed off to the public and uncle Gong despised climbing anymore stairs than he had to — a place where only the two of you could escape to and just get to know each other for hours and hours. You really liked the sound of that.
You yawned, rubbing sleep off of your lids and walking into the bathroom to carry out your morning routine. Soon, you moved over to the kitchen preparing yourself a quick breakfast composed of eggs and toasts. After your rooftop adventure Seokjin had accompanied you back into the main part of town to grab a few groceries at the mini super market. Thank God for that.
Time was now nearing the late afternoon and after throwing on a pair or shorts and a crop top you were flying out the front door, down the stairs and towards Kim’s Abroad. Seokjin said he had the early shift today. It was too early in the day for customers but he was helping with prep before the restaurant opened in about 15 minutes for the lunch rush.
“You ready?” he asked, exiting the shop through the back door and hanging his apron on a hook you couldn’t particularly see. It was astounding how fine Seokjin looked even in the simplest outfits. Like today, he wore denim shorts which cut off mid-thigh, a white tank, black converse and the same backwards blue baseball cap which he tucked his floppy bangs under to keep them away from his face.
“Ready.” you confirmed following him to the bike rack as he began unlocking his bicycle from the metal bar.
Again, for the third time since you two met you hopped on the pegs placing your hands on his shoulders to keep yourself from falling off the back of his bike. You looked down at his soft golden skin stretching over his massive shoulders. You hadn’t noticed the day before but Seokjin was well-built. The dark veins stretched up the dorsal side of his hand and forearm as he gripped the handlebars steering the bike down the street. His bicep flexed whenever he pressed on the hand brakes.
It was distracting. But whenever you tried to take in your surroundings and drink in the beauty of this town you found your gaze focused on him.
He was the swirls of black and white psychedelic lines inducing you into a state of hypnosis — demanding your attention be set on him and refusing you spare even a second thinking of anything else.
That gravitational pull you felt drawing you closer to him despite how close in proximity he was terrifying. You barely knew him and already you felt as if you’d known him forever.
“We’re here,” he said, pulling up to the green metal bench inside of the skate park. Hoping off, you finally peeled your eyes away from Seokjin and looked ahead to the crowded park adorned with ramps, stairs, rails, dips and countless other obstacles.
“What if. .” you began, ogling the kids successfully landing their tricks, amazed by their effortless talent, “what if they get hurt?”
“They stand up and just try again.” Surely, it couldn’t be that simple. It must hurt. It had to hurt. Your past of disdained misfortune resulted in you landing on the floor, head first, one too many times which hurt like hell. Those were slips and stumbles nothing hard enough to cause any real damage — you really couldn’t imagine busting your ass here on this fucking concrete.
“Standing back up must hurt so fucking bad though.”
“It does,” he pointed out the scars adorning his upper and lower extremities — some healed, some not.
“So you spend a lot of time with these kids huh?” you asked, simply wanting him to open up a bit more; to learn all of the details unique to him. Those details which made Seokjin who he was.
“Sometimes. When I’m not in the shop,” he shrugged, taking a seat right beside you on the bench. His thighs rubbing up against yours, “don’t go judging me for hanging around here on my down time. I’m not the only twenty year old in this skate park.”
“I wasn’t judging.”
“Your eyes tell.”
“Are you saying I’m easy to read?” you asked, his eyes shed their usual tone of dark brown under the sun rays now glowing closer to caramel.
“Right now you are,” you didn’t know if you were daydreaming but his vision continued to circle your features, first back and forth between your eyes and then lower down to your lips.
“Are you going to show me what you got or are you just going to sit here all afternoon,” your voice barely above a whisper. You were afraid your stupid mind would lead you to do something stupid.
“Actually. .” he pulled a pair of white and purple skates from the backpack he previously carried on his back, “we’re here for you.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Why not?”
“I know we only met approximately twenty-four hours ago but I have a confession to make,” you cleared your throat and he moved closer towards you, (As if that could even be possible. . He was practically sitting on top of you), wanting to preserve your privacy, “I’m a klutz. I’m clumsy. I am a walking liability.”
“Now, you’re just making things up.”
You shook your head, “I’m not making it up.”
“If that is the case then it’s okay,” he pushed the skates closer in your direction, “I’m here to help.”
“I just hope you have a first aid kit near.”
Seokjin reached into his bag showing me a red pouch with a white cross on it. A wide smile plastered on his face. “I’m always ready.”
“Of course, you are,” you grabbed the skates from his hands, “ but I’m expecting you to catch me if I fall.”
“I will, don’t worry. I’ll always be here to catch you.”
In the middle of your chest, where the seat of your soul beat rhythmically on its day to day course, today in that moment, after those two words were uttered from his dulcet lips there was a stutter in your palpitations and for a brief moment you felt a ping at your chest. It hurt so much — but it also reminded you that you were alive.
Tumblr media
Beads of sweat strolled down your temples as you tried to maneuver the roller blades strapped to your feet. Your balmy palms remained clasped against Seokjin's holding on for dear life. Your eyes were glued to the floor but you continued leaning into his guidance, determining that you would get it and you would not stop until you did.
Seokjin was extremely patient. Even with your frequent squealing and the death grasp you maintain, he remained calm. Slowly guiding you over the small ramps and the mini cylindrical cone shaped obstacle with the flat tops.
“You got this,” his words of encouragement dozed you with overconfidence and soon you began feeling invisible. As if you could conquer this and anything else thrown your way no matter how big or difficult.
With his guidance and instructions you continued being led around the skatepark with your knees slightly bent, your upper body leaning towards him for balance and the slowed gliding of the eight wheels against the pavement.
“You’re doing great,” he wore a gleeful grin.
You didn’t know if his praise was tainting your lack of better judgment but the words escaped your lips before you even realized what you said,  “can I try it by myself?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. I forgot your helmet, knee and elbow pads,” he guided you towards the green bench once again, “let’s keep your first lesson simple. Just until we come back with the proper equipment. Yeah?”
You nodded. “Yeah, you’re probably right. I think that was the adrenaline talking.”
“I hope that means you’ve enjoyed yourself.”
“Of course, as long as I’m invited I’ll definitely be tagging along more often,” you smiled.
“You’re always invited.”
Unlike the betrayal of your tremulous legs and arms while skating Seokjin maneuvered his bike with confidence. He dropped into the bowl without hesitation, then jumped. . levitating in mid air. You were stunned, it was as if he could fly — soaring in the sky like an eagle. He did it again, and again, and again and you cheered him on loudly hoping to reciprocate a fraction of the support he’d expressed as he helped you skate.
Tumblr media
“How did you even manage to do that. . without even breaking a sweat?” you were still stunned as the two of you walked down to the shore after leaving his bike back home after leaving the skatepark. Home. Well, temporary home.
He shrugged, still a cocky smirk planted on his lips, “I used to practice a lot.”
“You’ve got to teach me to do all of that.”
“First, I gotta teach you to not fall off your skates.”
“Right,” you smiled.
The two of you walked right beside each other leaving no room for space in between — your hands kept brushing against one another and that friction alone radiated prickles of heat to crawl on your skin.
“You’ll get it soon,” he leaned towards you, bumping his shoulder into yours, “you’re an amazing student. . So far.”
“So far?” you gasped, taking fake offense at his meager ‘compliment’.
“So far,” he nodded, “. . because you also did try to go off riding on your own after one lesson.”
“I didn’t go off running,” you rolled your eyes, “I asked if I could. Drama queen.”
“Because I was holding on.”
You shook your head, “again, drama queen.”
You and Seokjin walked on the sidewalk parallel to the shore line for quite some time now but he kept babbling about this secret spot he swore was worth it. Without a line of questions or an inch of hesitation you followed along knowing that each adventure promised contained a photo album of memories in your mind to go along with it. Still, you didn’t mind the distance and you didn’t care what the destination looked like as long as the plans involved having Seokjin presence right there with you.
“This way,” he said, cutting down a small pathway leading towards the beach, “I don’t think your flip flops will cut it though,”
“We’re not too far from the house. I could go back for some sneakers.”
“There’s no need for that. We’re practically almost there. Come on,” he crouched down in front of you. Was he really insinuating you’d do what you thought he was? “Hop on.”
Whoever said Mt. Everest was the highest peak on planet Earth was fucking lying.  Though, you have never found yourself on the mountains’ slope, already, you knew being carried on Seokjin’s back was far more exhilarating than any other journey you could embark up the Himalayas. From his back, the world seemed anew. It was brighter, clearer and scorching too. You weren’t really sure if that was because his height boosted you a bit closer to the sun or if it was because his palm rested on your bare thighs, holding you in place as he ascended down the large rocks.
Perhaps, this is the kind of freedom he felt while riding his bike at the skatepark, quickly you began to understand why he chose that high.
“Are you doing okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Except you weren’t. His touch was ardent against your skin and while it felt like you played too close to fire, it was also addicting. All you knew is you wanted to feel that blaze on every inch of your body consuming you into lively flames.
“We’re almost there.”
“Hey Seokjin, can I ask you a question?”
“Whatever you wanna know. I’ll answer,” you wrapped your hands around his neck, resting your elbows on his shoulders. His warm breath fanned your arms causing goosebumps to etch on your skin. For a brief second he rested his head against your forearm before continuing, “but first please call me you gotta start calling me Jin.”
“Jin,” you mumbled, “it suits you.”
He chuckled, “you had a question?”
“Yeah,” you cleared your throat, “back at the skatepark you said you used practiced a lot. . on your bike.”
“I did.”
“You’re still referring to it in past tense.”
“I am.”
“Why?” you really didn’t want to push too far but you also had a desire to ask and know.
“BMX, the competitions,” he began, “it’s something I did in the past.”
You furrowed your brows, “But you still do it. What I mean is you still go to the skatepark.”
He sighed, where was something weighing on his heart. You could feel it, “Yeah, now it’s just a pastime. Something I hold onto. Just to have some sort of life line between the old me and the present version myself.”
You and Jin were polar opposites. While he chose to dwell in the past, in the blink of an eye you ditched yours back in the city. Without hesitation you abandoned your sluggish life as a caterpillar lurking through the shadows of skyscrapers — awfully slow and urging a better brighter tomorrow. Metamorphosis indicates that after the cocooning stage the insect should blossom into a beautiful butterfly. You weren’t at that last stage yet but you hoped one day you would be.
“What was the old you like?”
He shrugged with sour thoughts tugging the corner of his mouth downward, “I was young. . way too young obviously and naive but I also urged for calmer waters.”
“Did riding help out?” you asked.
“It did. It helped quite a lot for a long time,” he mumbled, “. .until it didn’t anymore and now I guess I’m trying to make peace with it.”
“Is there a particular reason why it ever stopped helping?” You felt his muscles tensed as his slender fingers sunk a bit deeper into your skin. It didn’t hurt but you’d hit something you were trying to avoid, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pry.”
“Don’t worry about it,” his feet finally came in contact with the golden grains of sand but he didn’t make any effort to put you down. No, he only held on tighter, “it just drags along a string of. .” he paused, “memories.”
“Bad. . memories?”
“Bad memories,” he confirmed.
The ocean sang its soulful tune just a couple of feet away as the waves continued their rhythmic crashing on the shore. It was soothing. . peaceful and it eased your nerves against his warm palms.
“During that time. .”  he began, sighing heavy as the soles of his feet continued sinking into the sand as you trotted further down the beach, “I was wandering around aimlessly—in my head for too long. I lost someone close. Someone who I loved more than I even tolerate myself.”
“Jin, I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay,” there was a slight tremble in his voice, as if he was trying to get a massive knot down his esophagus, “it happened years ago.”
“Still, time measures no grief. It must’ve been hard then and it probably still is,” unconsciously, you found yourself laying your head against the back of his neck, “but it is okay to feel, and cry and allow ourselves time to process and make our own peace. We’re only human after all.”
“I’m still trying to make peace with it everyday but I choose to remember our positive days,” his eyes focused on the footprints he left behind on the sand, “her love, her embrace and tenderness, her charisma. . it was very easy to love her.”
Her? Her.
The only woman he’s ever referred to in the past tense was his mother shortly after the two of you met. You wanted to ask and express proper condolences. Not to be nosey but to be there for him and provide a shoulder for him to lean on. Make sure he’s actually okay, although he seems to be dealing with things well you still don’t want to trigger any melancholy memories.
“The good memories will keep her alive and grounded in your heart,” your hand hovered over the center of his chest. “I’m glad you’re on the road to making peace.”
“Yeah, me too.”
“You should continue riding though,” you murmured, “Despite what happened I’ve seen you soar on your bike. It makes you happy and you should do what makes you happy.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he giggled, “I see what you’re doing.”
You gasped, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Of course not,” he laughed.
“I mean it though.”
“I know,” his hands roamed higher down the avenue of your thighs a bit closer to your bum but not quite. The feeling was sensational—vertiginous and you’d be lying if you said you hadn’t read through all of the scenarios blooming in your head. . The ones where his touch doesn’t  just stop mid way up your thighs. No, instead he continues inching higher and higher until. . “Thank you,”
His words pulled you out of your daydream yet you still felt the despotic heat coursing through your body. Too potent to ignore.
Tumblr media
Seokjin’s secret spot is breathtaking. A monument right out of a National Geographic magazine cover. The two of you lay in the small cave with an oculus skylight at the top allowing the sun to peek through when it sat high on the cerulean sky along with two archways opened right up to the roaring sea.
The grains of the golden sand felt therapeutic and warm under your indolent frame. There was a brisk breeze cooling you down, not too cold but just cool enough to dry your previously balmy skin.
It was a slice of heaven. . right here, right now.
And Jin, he laid right beside you his body heat radiating in eminent waves. Finally his dark strands on full display no longer hidden under the cap the way it’s been since you met him days prior. His shirt was off displaying his sculpted physique which captivated your attention entirely.
Seokjin’s secret spot is breathtaking but so was he. And fuck was it blinding the way he was shining brighter than the amber star overhead. He was ravishing; stunning through and through.
“Was the trip worth it?” he asked, his dark eyes burning a hole at your side.
“I barely made as much as a trip, you carried me the entire way here,” you scoffed, “is your back really doing okay?”
He rolled his eyes, “for the hundredth time my back is doing just fine.”
“So, let me ask you, was the trip worth it with me on your back the entire time?” your expression was deadpanned.
“Wrong question. .” he smirked. “Did my hands and back find comfort in carrying you the entire way? Yes.”
His hands on you. Your mind flashed in spurs to that very moment where his warm touch birthed goosebumps on your skin. Quickly, that feeling became looped in your mind and even now, when his hands were no longer on you, you felt it—God, you felt it.
“And the truth comes to light,” you tutted, kissing your teeth and shaking your head in disapproval, “is that all you wanted? To feel me up, Jin?”
The apples of his cheeks were dusted in a deep roseate shade, “I mean. . it’s not all I wanted.”
“Are you blushing, Seokjin?” you mumbled, “I thought this was a confessional. I mean you enjoyed having your hands on me the entire way here, right?”
“Right,” The crimson shade traveled to the tips of his ears. He’s bashful; how cute.
“Jinnie?”
He hummed.
“I also enjoyed it,” you said, “it’s too bad though.”
“What is?” His eyes were doe-like, holding a luminous glimmer which projected the intricate ocean waves on them as they continued rocking right before you.
“Your hands never really made it where I needed them.”
He gulped, “and where was that?”
“I think you know exactly what I’m talking about,” your fingertips toyed with the button of your shorts. Typically, you weren’t this forward and simply let your misfortune map the adverse roads of your life but today you didn’t care to fight against yourself. You wanted him. You needed him, “of course, we can pick up where you left off and actually progress higher this time.”
“Yeah,” he nodded.
“Are you okay with that?”
“I’m so okay with that.”
“Is that the only way in?” you pointed in the direction the two of you came in.
“Boats can pull up through the archways as well,” Jin’s bottom lip was tucked under his lips and his gaze devouring you entirely.
Of course, you began the show by slipping your hands under the fabric of your denim shorts. Your middle finger began drawing vertical lines against your clothed slit—dragging it slowly. Up and down, again and again, until the friction became useless to your zealous desire.
“Then, we better be quick,” you breathed out.
“I better be quick,” he emphasized moving closer to you.
The shadows of his face were so close to yours you could draw out every little feature and decipher the hints of eucalyptus and mint from his morning shampoo. Your hands landed on his cheek, leading him closer to you; pressing your bodies to one another.
Seokjin’s lips were warm and soft like velvet moving in a uniformed dance against yours. It was slow yet passionate as if he was trying to savor every inch of your lips—as if he wanted to be consumed by the taste of your tongue.
The pads of his fingers left behind a trail of goosebumps as they moved lower and lower, until they came in contact with your shorts. In a swift moment he unbuttoned them and began drawing small figures onto your skin right where the hem of your panties sat.
Between his lips and his touch you felt inebriated, as if you were mindlessly roaming around somewhere between the clouds and the sky.
He pulled away but his forehead rested on yours. His lips still hovered over yours as his paced pants fanned his cool breath on them.
“Can I. .?”
“Please, Seokjin. Please touch me,” the pleads dripped from your lips semi-automatically and you had to admit there wasn’t a hint of shame to hold you back.
There was nothing on earth more exhilarating, more enlivening than the feeling of Jin’s hands sinking under the fabric of your silk underwear. Not riding a roller coaster, not climbing the highest mountain on earth, not even winning the fucking lottery. His touch was intoxicating. . just like his kisses and there was nothing you’d rather feel. Except, probably a bit, more.
“Faster, please,” you whined, swaying your hips against his touch as he drew circles on your aching clit. If obeying and compliance was a stern trait then it is one Jin conveyed with no push backs or arguments.
“Tell me something doll,” his fingers traveled lower lining up against your entrance. He pressed against your cunt but never pushed past—the squelching of your wetness echoed in your ears. It was all you could hear, “did you ever think we’d be in this predicament this early on?”
You gasped, urgently shaking your head as his fingers became wrapped in your walls moving in and out of you slowly, “I-I didn’t. But I did hope for it.”
He sneered, “you hoped for it, huh?”
“Dreamt of it on my first night here actually.”
“I dreamt of it too, you know,” he whispered softly, his lips traced the shell of your ear, “the way you’d feel, your sweet sounds, the way you’d be clenching around me the exact same way you are right now.”
His name was a mantra laced on your tongue and you uttered it once and once again as if it was muscle memory. The only thing, the only name coherent enough in your head—the only one you knew, which was probably true. You couldn’t even recall your own.
But he had no mercy on you, his digits had no mercy on you—they just moved in and out of your slickness quicker and quicker as time progressed and you were so close, you practically stood at the edge as your orgasm approached in a massive wave.
“Please,” you moaned, “please let me-“
He shook his head, “Just a bit longer, doll.”
You hadn’t even realized your eyes were shut tight, the back of your eyelids tainted with desperation. And Jin was no longer stationed beside you, instead he kneeled in front of your bent legs spreading them farther and farther away from each other.
The ocean still sat just a couple feet ahead, still singing that soulful song which eased your nerves the longer you laid on that very sand waiting—urging for Jin’s touch on you.
It was all you could think of. . the way his touch burned trails of passion on your skin leaving behind a desire so potent that you just couldn’t extinguish without his help.
He was the only one who could put it out.
Seokjin removed both your shorts and panties leaving them pooled at your ankles. His austere gaze remained on your cunt and he seemed to be drinking in every detail of your blossomed rose.
“Beautiful,” he mumbled, almost inaudibly.
“Jin,” your eyes, your voice both dripped with desperation.
He nodded understanding your unspoken command almost instantly inching closer and closer between your thighs until his face sat just a couple inches away. His tongue was frigid against your slit it weaved a bolt of electricity intertwined along the ridges of your spine. A gasp escaped your lips as he perfected the combination of sucking and licking your sensitive bud before dragging his flattened tongue along your folds.
A delectable repetition. One, more saccharine than any dessert you’d had the burden of making back during your days in the kitchen.
This was better. It was so much fucking better.
Seokjin’s slurp noises against you, your sweet incoherent sounds and the cries of the ocean were one in the same. All of them were the end product of an orchestrated ballad.
“Jinnie,” your nails massaged his scalp before gripping his face, pushing him closer to you. God, you needed him closer. So much fucking closer.
“Yes, doll?” His words almost muffled an evident refusal to stop what he was doing.
“Can I h-help you out?”
“With?” he continued.
“Even from up here I can see how tight your shorts have become,” you hissed, “I want you in my mouth while you eat me out.”
Seokjin pulled away. Your juices coated his chin and mouth, “That’s fine baby, but I want you sitting on my face.”
Jin took your spot sprawled out on the sand. You climbed on top of him, placing your knees on either side of his face claiming your seat on his features. His hands snaked around your thighs, pulling you down, positioning your soaked cunt to be aligned with his mouth. Meanwhile, you leaned forwards helping him pull down and finally kick off his briefs.
Seokjin was big. Bigger than you’d imagined.
Your hand wrapped around the base of his cock as you took his tip past your lips, finally getting a taste of his pre-cum. At the same time you felt him take a swipe on your fold before his eloquent tongue dug inside you diligently licking your walls, ridding them off your juices.
The iteration of a sinful melody. Building up tension in the pit of your stomach while your back arched and your toes curled.
Though, you tried to focus on the way his cock moved in and out of your mouth—his deathly grasp on your thighs and his tongue. . It was all too distracting.
“Fuck, Jin,” you keen too dazed in pleasure to fully grasp the way you tugged on his hair keeping his head in place as you began to grind on his face, finally succumbing to the urgency of reaching your approaching peak.
He hummed under you, leading your unoccupied hand down to his cock and guiding it up and down his shaft. This went on for some time. Felt like forever and then finally he came in warm spurts coating your hand. And that very image drove you to your climax as he licked you dry.
Carefully, you climbed off his face and laid right beside him, his chest heaving as he attempted to catch his breath.
Your name sounded like peaches in his strained voice, “you. . that was amazing.”
“You’re amazing,” you giggled, “but once again you did all the work.”
“I don’t mind doing all the work,” he leaned over leaving peppered kisses on your cheek.
“You say that to all the girls who occupy the Airbnb?”
“Nope,” he emphasized the p, “just you.”
“I find that hard to believe. Just look at you.”
“You think my charms and good looks are hard to resist?” he beamed.
“That and the third leg in between your thighs.”
He laughed. “Well, believe it. You’re the only girl I’ve done. . anything with for years.”
Your heart beat rhythmically in your chest at the utterance of his confession. His words didn’t mean much at all but you couldn’t help the fluffers in your head and the way your stomach felt so giddy you thought you’d vomit.
It felt foreign but you welcomed it nevertheless. You liked that feeling.
“You wanna go swimming?” you asked.
“Skinny dipping?” he quirked a brow.
“You’re not worried about someone coming?”
“If someone’s come in for the past like fifteen minutes they saw me neck deep in your pussy,” he stood up taking off his shirt and leaving his shorts behind before running towards the aquamarine waves, “I don’t really think it matters anymore.”
“If?” you asked following behind him.

The day before yesterday was a dream.
A dream, no a wet dream. Composed of your fervent fantasies. And you? You lived in that cave and you probably would for the rest of your time here. Dwelling on his warm touch on your skin—goosebumps rose on every inch of your body causing the hairs on the back of your neck to stand straight.
Your fingers followed the trails he’d mapped on your body, paved so intricately, they were so easy to follow and all roads led to the same exact place.
You were so wet, but you probably had been ever since that day. Was that normal? You didn’t care, you just wanted him to touch you again.
There was a knock on the door waking you right out of your daydreams. Grabbing your robe you wrapped it around your figure before heading towards the door.
“Hey,” you opened the door standing aside allowing him to come in.
“I’m sorry I’ve been MIA since yesterday,” he kissed your cheek—you guys weren’t nearly official but it kind of felt like you were. . or you hoped so anyway, “Uncle Gong has been on edge lately. There’s another seafood restaurant opening up on the pier. It's got him going crazy.”
“Crazy prep hours?”
He sighed before slouching down on the couch, “crazy prep hours,” he confirmed.
“You must be so tired,” you cooed, “do you want anything to eat? I can make you something.”
“I’m okay, besides food is not exactly what I’m craving.”
“Hm,” you straddled his lap. “Then, what is?”
“I should’ve kissed you after I ate you out yesterday,” his hands slid under your robe kneading your upper thighs, “you would’ve gotten a chance to see how addicting you taste.”
His phone began buzzing, it was Uncle Gong. Jin sighed before pressing the accept button and in a matter of seconds you heard the older man’s voice in a frantic banter.
You were one hundred percent sure it wasn’t Uncle Gong’s intention to cockblock but you just wanted Seokjin to stay and fuck you into the mattress.
You were still dripping just thinking about it. However, by the look on his face you were certain he had other news—ones which hindered your fantasies of early morning sex.
“I gotta go.”
“Do you have to?” you whined.
“I don’t want to,” he leaned over, leaving a kiss on your lips. It was brief and your body screamed for more but you didn’t vocalize it. Instead you sat in silence as he continued to carry out a mental battle attempting to find a victo. He had to go, you knew that much. You also knew he wanted to stay. You wanted him to as well but he couldn’t.
He stood from the couch but before he could make his way towards the front door Jin turned back around, kneeling right before you. His hand reached up cupping your face as he leaned closer until his silken lips landed back on yours. However, this wasn’t just another peck.
This kiss.
It swept you under the currents of the bestial sea and you sank deeper towards the ocean floor but you weren’t scared. In the void, under the darkness of the tide Jin was a beacon of light—guiding you towards an eternity where his lips kept moving on yours the way they were right now.
This fucking kiss.
Is your beginning but also your end.
It took your last breath but also made you feel alive.
You didn’t want it to end. . but it did, “meet me at the restaurant tomorrow tonight. Uncle Gong is letting me prepare something for you. Took a lot of convincing but I had him come around.”
“I’ll be there.”
“Seven o’clock.”
“Just twenty four hours.”
He smiled before closing the door behind him.

Back in the city dating was rather difficult.
Not only were you a workaholic, you also avoided any kind of social events and situations outside of the restaurant.
Here, things were a bit different. You came here for a chance at self reflection, to work on yourself and find the real you but instead your path became intertwined with Seokjin and while you didn’t mind you also couldn’t help but reprimand your heart whenever it skipped a beat at the sight of him.
Sort of like it was doing right now, Jin was in the kitchen of Kim’s Abroad and you sat at the small table set-up for a candlelit dinner for two.
The gears in the rules of the universe shifted Noone ever went through this kind of trouble—to plan something this nice after they’d already had their fun with you. Especially if things would have taken their  course as easily as they did with him.
Well, except, maybe Seokjin.
Cute.
“Tonight’s special,” he set both of your plates on the table revealing a cut of grilled salmon garnished with lemon wedges, and accompanied by coconut rice and roasted potatoes, “I hope you like it. . but please do lie if you hate it. I’m sensitive.”
You laughed, mounting your spoon with the perfect bite of all the foods he’d prepared combined before taking it in your mouth, your taste buds danced in delight, “Seokjin, this is heavenly. It is truly amazing.”
“Is that the honest truth or are you just looking to spare my feelings?”
“I would never lie,” you swallowed before continuing, “This is all absolutely delicious.”
“Better than Uncle Gong’s crab cakes?”
“I thought that was your recipe?”
“It is,” he shrugged, “but he thinks he makes them better than me.”
“I don’t know, I think he wins this war,” you joked, “those crab cakes were killer.”
“Traiter,” he scoffed.
Dinner was exquisite but small talk was left to a minimum when you both realized Uncle Gong’s restaurant curfew was quickly approaching. After cleaning up and closing up you and Seokjin headed towards the roof, unwilling to give up the night and let it cease.
The street lights lit up the street corners and while there were people roaming around here and there—it was nothing compared to the congested afternoons.
But you liked this.
The feeling of you and Seokjin being the only people left behind in the world, the songs of the waves still playing in the background and the stars gleaming overhead.
“Has this always been your secret spot?” you asked, laying beside him on the navy blue duvet.
“Yes,” his eyes glowed under the light of the moon, again they looked lighter than you’d remembered, “I practically lived up here like three summers ago.”
“An escape?” you asked, not really needing to emphasize.
He nodded, “after mom passed the house choked me with her lingering presence, her scent, her love. I wanted her back. To spend just one more day with her and make sure she knew how much I loved her and how much I would miss her but that’s just not how life worked and she was no longer there.”
“I’m so sorry,” you snuggled closer into him, laying your head on your chest—his heartbeat thumped against your ear, “I can’t even imagine how hard that time must have been.”
“It was,” he laid his head on yours, “It was harder than hard if that even makes sense. I shut a lot of things out and no longer found comfort in the things I loved. .” he paused.
“Like riding?”
“Yeah,” he sighed, there was a slight tremble in his voice, “it’s just mom wasn’t there to cheer me on anymore. Looking out at the stands was depressing because her usual seat was empty. Sadness overshadowed everything on the track, she was all I could think of.”
You didn’t say anything, just allowed him to carry on without interruptions. He continued, “Uncle Gong tagged along whenever he didn’t have to manage the restaurant but it just wasn’t the same, you know?”
You hummed letting him know you still listened attentively.
“Wounds heal over time though and while this one tears a bit every time I think of her, I know she’s up there watching over me,” he said.
“She is, she’s always been watching over you and she always will be.”
“I know,” he simpered, leaving a soft peck on your forehead. “What about you? Are you missing your life back in the city yet?”
“Not a chance.”
“What is this vendetta you hold against the city?”
“The city is such a hypocrite. I never understood how so many souls could live in the same place and yet one person could still manage to feel so lonely,” you exhaled rather loudly, “life. . things were supposed to be different, you know?”
“Different isn’t always bad.”
“I suppose not.”
“It’s not,” a slight smile sat on his lips. A brief silence fell between you two and then he asked the question you’d avoided giving any thought to since setting foot in town, “do your parents know you’re here?”
“Not. . really?”
“That sounded like a question.”
“It kind of is.”
A slight smile was displayed on his lips, “Are you here hiding from them?”
“Kind of. .” you cackled, “it’s not really hiding if they don’t know I’m here to begin with right?”
“So they don’t know you left the city?”
“They know—I’m not in the city and taking a small break but they don’t know exactly where,” you say mushing all the words into one long word, not really wanting to decipher what you were saying, “they also don’t know I was fired. I think that’ll break their heart too much.”
“Are you planning to tell them anytime soon?”
“I was going to tell them. . once I make it back to the city and find a new job.”
“Oh..okay.”
His embrace grew tighter, he held you closer and you could feel his warmth wracking your nerves. It was like he didn’t want to let go.. not now. Not ever. And you didn’t want him to either, “but I’m not sure if that truly is the reality of what I want,” you sighed, “I was miserable in the city, the life I lived there was rigid. Besides, cooking is not what I intend to do for the rest of my life. I just. . I don’t know what to do.”
“All of the roads leading to our destiny are paved the way they are for a reason,” Jin offered, “they mold us and guide us to the exact spot where we are supposed to be.”
“You’re right.”
“Also call your parents. You deserve to pursue what you want but they should also know,” he said. “Plus, I bet they’re worried sick.”
“Again. . you’re right.” a low sough escaped your lips mimicking the swift draft blowing by in the late night.
”I know I am,” he said smugly, “what would you even do without me?”
“You’re a cocky motherfucker you know.”
“If by cocky motherfucker you mean multi-talented handsome Jin. Then, yes I do agree with that.”
“Not what I meant,” you mumbled.
“You know, you weren’t talking all this shit when we were in that cave a couple days ago.”
“Yeah, I think that’s because my mouth was kind of a little busy.”
“Right,” Jin drew in a deep breath, his fingers toyed with the straps of your dress, “you know I think we left something unfinished back in your apartment a couple of days ago.”
“Yeah, it’s too bad that you had to go,” you turned around now lying on your side facing away from him, “because I wanted—I needed you to stay so bad.”
“Needed, huh?” he asked, pressing closer against your back side. Lingers of sandalwood and citrus invaded your nostrils. An aromatic scent so rich and so addicting all you craved was to bury your nose to the base of his neck and grow faded off his fragrance.
You closed your eyes, ensnared in the trance of his soft pants as he began grinding his crotch against your ass at an agonizing pace.
His clothed dick marked you before you even had the chance to feel him inside you.
 It was torture.
“Jin,” you moaned.
“What’s wrong, doll?” he replied in a derisive tone while clicking his tongue. His hands reached lower and lower until they landed on your inner thighs, “am I close to where you want me?”
You nodded frantically, “Higher.”
His fingers delineated the goosebumps forming on your skin as he dawdled his journey to your soaked cunt.
“Higher, Seokjin. Please,” your voice tainted with desire and desperation.
“Tell me, is this where you want me?” His digits traced your folds spreading your wetness en route. Your dress now hiked up to your waist as Jin began rubbing small circles on your clit. Then, slowly he repeated, “Is this where you wanted me?”
“Hm.”
“You were anticipating this weren’t you?” Jin whispered, causing downpours of chills to trickle down your back, “is that why you wore no underwear?”
His fingers continued working in-between your folds, “Uh, fuck yes!” You screamed out.
There were approximately billions of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, a lot of which you were looking up to at that very moment. And yet as you laid there under the incantation of Seokjin’s finger you witnessed the birth of many stars flickering into life.
Your chest heaved as you settled down from yet another astounding high.
“Doll,” Seokjin swiped his fingers coated with your juices onto your lips, as if he was applying lip gloss on you. You opened your mouth taking his digits in licking them clean. “Holy fuck, you will be the death of me.”
“Jin?”
“Yeah?”
“I need you.”
He laid flat on his back patting his lap, “come on, baby girl.”
You straddled him, your wet pulsating cunt rubbing against his clothed erection. There was a painful hunger rooting in between your legs—craving nothing but to have him buried deep in you.
“Take it out,” he instructed. You unbuttoned his jeans and pulled them down along with his briefs just enough for his erection to spring free.
Slowly, you began sinking down on his cock. Your mouth agape at the overwhelming feeling of him filling you up while your hands landed on his chest for balance. Once accustomed to his size you began to move up and down on his length as he disappeared deeper and deeper inside of you.
Seokjin was full of pleasant surprises; his fingers, his mouth, his tongue so it was really no surprise his dick was equally as blessed.
“Seokjin,” you whimpered.
“Oh doll,” his hands gripped your waist, fingers digging into your skin likely to leave marks behind—guiding you to move at a quicker pace.  “Fuck!”
“God, you feel so good.”
The composition of your bodies moving against each other molded into the perfect whole. You were two, but while he fucked into you the way he was you felt as if he belonged inside your walls and you never ever wanted to feel empty again.
“Doll, I’m so close,” his rough and raspy voice was a bass tune in your ears, “so fucking close.”
“I want you to cum in me. Please, Jin,” you continued riding him, your skin slapping on his continuing your journey on his cock sliding up and down over and over until your walls began to clench around him.
It wasn’t long before the two of you reached your peak and you collapsed on top of him, out of breath and too tired to do anything that required moving in any way.
“Now tell me, is there any chance you’d stay even after the summer’s over.”
“I’ve been thinking about it,” his skin was scolding even over the layer of his t-shirt, his chest and forehead glistening by a thin layer of sweat, “a lot actually.”
“And what was the conclusion?”
“I like it here,” you kissed his cheek, “I think I’ll be staying. . For now. Take some time to myself and explore things.”
“I like it when you’re here.”
“That reminds me,” you reached for your purse, “ I have a surprise for you.”
You pulled out a piece of paper and handed it over to him. His eyes scanned the sketch, “Is this us?”
“It’s us. . in the cave,” you giggled, “I tried to capture every moment.”
“I especially like the one with my head between your legs,” a rosey shade painted his cheeks.
“Had to portray my favorite moment from that day.”
“We can always recreate it. To liven the memory, you know.”
“Right now?”
“Right now,” he disappeared lower in between your thighs, his head hiding under the fabric of your dress.
Kind days were definitely in forecast especially if you had Seokjin right there by your side.

KSJ - I’m home.
Tumblr media
It was safe to say that the last two years has been difficult, even though you had gotten to call and message it had almost felt as if you hadn’t seen the man you love for the entirety of the time he was completing his mandatory enlistment.
It had been at least nine months of phone calls and messages, no visits. However, that all ended today.
You had argued that you should go to pick him up with the other members but Namjoon had made a valid point that it would be best to be safe from the media, that’s how you ended up here, sitting on your couch, waiting.
You couldn’t help the anxiety and excitement bubbling up inside you, your foot tapping repetitively against the rug beneath your feet. Time dragged on and and on, you had been clock watching. It hit an hour, and then two, and then three before you heard the key code being punched in from the other side of the door.
As he pushed it open you wasn’t sure what to do, you wanted to run up and wrap your body around him, to kiss every inch of him and forbid him from every going anywhere ever again but you couldn’t.
You were sure the world had stop spinning.
“I’m home.” He mumbles dropping his bags by the door, sliding off his shoes.
“You’re home.” Your voice is nothing but a whisper.
You can feel the tears cascading down your face as he envelopes you into a hug. Crying wasn’t something you liked to do, you hated everything about crying but in this moment is was all you could do, your body collapsed against him as if it knew it could finally relax now he was back.
“Let’s go sit, okay baby?” He questions, placing a kiss to your ear.
You huff, pushing yourself further into him. “No, don’t wanna move.”
“I just got home, don’t be a brat.” He laughed poking your sides earning a yelp from you.
You both shuffled, very slowly, over to the plush couch, some part of your body still being entwined with one another. He sat first, pulling you into his lap.
“I missed you so much.” He mumbled against your head, pressing a kiss into your hair.
You shook your head, still sobbing lightly as you pushed yourself into his chest. You was afraid any moment you was going to wake up and find out this was a dream.
“Sweetheart I’m not going anywhere. Although if you don’t stop pulling my shirt I may need to go to the hospital for strangulation.” He laughs lights pulling your hands up to his face, ultimately making you look at him.
“I don’t ever want to be without you.” You breathe releasing him slightly.
He brushes a hair from your face before kissing you, his lips feeling familiar against your own. You lean in further as his tongue flicks against your mouth.
“I missed that so much.” You rested your forehead against his.
“Do you want to get something to eat?” He grins softly.
“Mhm, I can order if you want to go shower?” You kiss him once again, reluctantly lifting yourself from his lap.
“Getting rid of me already?” He laughs standing up.
“If you want me to hold you hostage I will.” You swat his leg as he passes you.
The light sounds of the shower bring you comfort, you and seokjin didn’t have a huge home, sure it was on the bigger side but it wasn’t a mansion however, it felt that way whenever he wasn’t here. The space seemed to swallow you most days.
When he had talked to you about enlisting you promised him you wouldn’t stop doing anything, he wanted to know you would continue living, continue doing what makes you happy. He didn’t want you to spend the entirety of the time crying at home or simply giving up. You agreed instantly, you’d give him whatever he wanted or needed to keep himself strong during this time. You hadn’t anticipated the house to feel so lonely, you hadn’t thought about the lonely nights you’d spend curled up in a ball in bed despite the fact no one would be joining you. In the first two weeks you’d set up dinner spaces for two people at least 6 times before remembering you would be eating your meals alone. Despite that you didn’t stop living, you wanted to make sure that he didn’t have to worry about anything when he came home so you kept yourself together. So what if at least three times a week you cried for an hour or so, he wouldn’t know.
“What are you thinking about.” His voice was raspy, sultry.
You almost jumped out of your skin at the surprise. “Just happy to have you home.”
“So tell me all the things I missed.” He rounds the table, taking a seat beside you.
You pull yourself into him again, not wanting to have any distance between you. “You didn’t, it was exactly the same except once a week one of the members would come over and eat dinner with me, although I feel like you were probably the reason for that.”
“I worried about you.” He sighed.
“I worried about you too. How was it? Honestly.” You looked up to him, searching his face for any discomfort on the topic.
“It wasn’t as bad as I thought but it wouldn’t be something I’d ever want to go through again. I hope I provided the others some courage on it though.” He nudged your face with his nose making you smile.
He always had the ability to make a stressful situation seem good.
“Do you want to shower before dinner?” He rubs his hands up and down your thighs, squeezing them sporadically.
You shake your head vehemently. “No, although you could have let me shower with you.”
“Don’t pout sweetheart, go shower and by the time you’re finished our food will be here.
“Do I have to?” You bat your eyelashes at him.
He laughs lifting you from his lap. “No you don’t, I could make your ass red right now but I’d much rather you be a good girl. Go shower, take your time baby. I’m not going anywhere.”
You can’t help the way your cheeks flush a dark crimson at his tone, his aura shifting. “Fine but you better have the food waiting when I finish because I may die of starvation.”
“Didn’t have daddy to cook for you huh?” He chuckles.
You groan throwing your head back as you walk towards the bathroom. “Don’t call yourself that.”
“What, daddy? Am I not daddy enough?” He laughs even louder to which you slam the bathroom door.
You try not to rush your shower but it’s something you do compellingly, your body moving without any thoughts but “I want to be beside him again.”
By the time you finish and get dressed true to his word the food is set out across the living room table, you rarely ate anywhere but the dining room so you knew this was just as an intimate day for him as it was you.
“You look so good. God I missed waking up to you.” He reaches a hand out to you pulling you next to him, handing you a dinner tray.
You wave your hand at him picking up your cutlery. “Don’t make me cry, if we talk about how we missed one another the tears would start and I would not be able to stop them.”
“Was it hard?” He asks, taking a bite into his steak.
“The first day was surprisingly easy, once the members returned we went to eat, I’ve never had a dinner with them be so silent. Jungkook drove me home that night and he cried for a while, he offered to stay and I’m pretty sure he did that for him more than me but I told him I was fine. I didn’t cry, I don’t think I cried until the third week. I had a shitty day at work and I came home ready to unload it on you over some cheap ramen that I had stocked but I walked in and the loneliness just hit me. I lived in your clothing, I rarely wore anything of my own. I remember the first time we got to face time, I had been waiting all day and the connection was awful but seeing you even for a few minuets made the next month so easy. I wouldn’t have been able to get through it without the other members.” You brushed away a few tears you hadn’t noticed forming, taking a bite from your meal to distract yourself.
“Im never going anywhere without you ever again.” He brushed a hand through your hair before returning to his meal.
The rest of the dinner was filled with random bits of information and events that you had both been unable to witness. It was filled with a soft laughter, tender smiles and suggestive touches. The food itself was awful, the steak was hard and dry, the potatoes were cold and it was overpriced but you didn’t care. The food was the least of your worries.
You took both yours and his plates to the kitchen, rinsing them off with a promise to clean everything later.
When you return the room isn’t how you’d left it, Jin had set up a series of candles across the room, the tv had been lowered, and the said man was waiting across the room on one knee.
“Oh.” Was all you could manage as you shuffled towards him, your hands shaking.
“I waited two years to ask you this, I wanted to do it properly, to set up something big, something deserving of you but I couldn’t wait. You were one of the only thoughts that helped me through the rough days, your voice and the letters you would have Namjoon write me to be discreet were my most cherished memories. You made me a promise before I left and you stuck to it, no matter how hard it was you stuck by me and you kept going. I am so proud of you, I’m so thankful that I get to call you mine. It’s something I would like the honour of doing for the rest of my life, from the moment I met you I couldn’t stop thinking about you, I remember messing up so many recordings because you had occupied my mind for far too long. I have had the pleasure to experience things other people could only dream of but being with you is one of my greatest accomplishments, I hope I can be someone worthy of your love for the rest of my life if you’ll give me that chance. So with that being said, will you marry me?”
You couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, couldn’t blink. You were frozen, your heart beating so hard you were sure it could be heard across the country. After a few seconds he shuffled awkwardly, you could see he was worrying so you did all you could. You slammed your body into his wrapping your arms around him as you kissed him desperately. Your soft moans and his grunts the only sound in the room, you laugh as he bites your lip.
“Smell.” He moans out after a few seconds.
You pause pulling back. “What?”
“I smell fire.”
You both turn to the couch only to see the bottom end half alight, the candle set on the table had been knocked over. You scrambled off jin to grab the fire extinguisher as he rushed to help you spray it he caught his leg on the tv swiftly bringing it to the ground with a hard crash.
A series of explicit words weee thrown around with you both screaming and shouting at one another to be careful.
After a ten minuet fuss, a burnt couch and a broken tv you both were sitting in the kitchen, him in-between your legs as you rested against the counter.
“That was some proposal.” You breathe out, massaging his scalp with your nails.
“That didn’t go how I expected, you didn’t exactly answer either.” He mumbled pulling you closer by your waist.
“It’s a million times yes jinnie, I thought my kissing was an indication of that.”
“It was not.” He rolls his eyes dramatically, pulling the box from his sweatpants. “Can I put it on?”
“Please.” You nod, holding out your hand.
He slides the ring onto your finger, it was beautiful. A singular Jem on the middle with the words “a forever gift.” Engraved on the silver band.
You feel the tears pooling in your eyes but you don’t care and by the puffiness of his face neither does he. You hold each other for so long that you lose count of the time. Eventually he picks you up from the counter helping you get into bed.
You wanted to protest and tell him you could stay awake longer but he shushed you instantly so you slumped back onto the bed, secure with his arms around you. So what if the food sucked, the couch set alight and the TV smashed into a thousand pieces. Your fiancé was finally home, everything else could go to shit and it would be okay because seokjin was back.

Note
Hi. In honor of Jewel, I’d like to request something with Seokjin and his d*ck resting on the counter lmao
Tumblr media
pairing: best friend!seokjin x gn!reader genre: friends/idiots to lovers, humor, fluff word count: 1245 & 2 texts rating: mature (because they're talking about the dick perch, there's no smut) warnings: they talk about the dick perch, they're both kind of menaces, jimin makes a brief background appearance a/n: this is the first request i got for @ugh-yoongi's birthday drabble event and i completely lost it. i also hope it's not just me that thinks this is funny. but it's okay if it is 😂 also i promise there is literally no angst, the title is just something they tease each other about fun piece of jewel lore: we (i) tried to get this picture screen printed on a cake for a surprise bachelorette party for jewel. not only did the bakery not understand the assignment, but the cake wasn't even good. so, a definite fail, but the thought was there.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot that you’ve just gotten used to during your friendship with Seokjin. That he’s always going to ask you to taste some new recipe he’s trying when you come over for dinner. That he’s always going to have the absolute best wine and turn his nose up when you show up with something cheap. That he uses the perfect meal to say the things he can’t. That he’s actually the best cook you’ve met without ever taking any classes. That you can’t interrupt him when he’s in the middle of playing a video game without getting a lecture or it actually being an emergency. That he doesn’t feel at home in large groups and, despite all his charm, he would rather be off to the side. Or, better yet, home in his pajamas. That, in some ways, he never fully grew up. That he’s always going to be there for you in his own way, even if he doesn’t have the words. That his laugh is always going to be one of your favorite sounds, even if it’s also completely obnoxious.
But, worst of all, you have to accept the fact that he is always going to be painfully hot no matter what. It didn’t really bother you the first time you met him. He was charming and dorky and had the worst sense of humor (that had you barely able to breathe from laughing). No, it wasn’t until a group of you had gone out drinking and you crashed at Seokjin’s apartment that you truly realized the unfairness of it all. You woke up feeling like death warmed over, make-up smudged with bags under your eyes and hair going in unnatural directions. Seokjin, by contrast, came walking into the kitchen bare-faced and still looking like he was photoshoot ready. Talk about irritating.
That’s not actually the worst of it, you realize, when you get a text from your best friend. He’s dying his hair, a feat you told him would be better left until you could get there to help him. But he’s also stubborn, sometimes, so he carries on anyway. The proof is in a picture that he sends to you showing him in the bathroom with gloves on and purple on his previously bleached blond hair. You’re considering if his hands have always been that big or if the gloves make them look bigger when you notice something else. Something else that looks...big. Something else you definitely should not be looking at.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s fucking with you. He absolutely has to be fucking with you. Because there is no way that he has his dick fully resting on the counter without noticing it. And there’s no way that it’s just a fold in his pants. There’s also no way you’re going to admit to your best friend that one of the first things you noticed was the outline of his dick resting on the counter. You’re pretty sure you don’t even want to think that word again. So, fine. If he wants to post that photo exactly as it is, who are you to stop him?
Ten minutes later you get the notification that he’s posted the picture to Instagram, which is much less time than it usually takes him to pick the right filter and the right caption. You only know because he turned your notifications on for him one day and acted affronted that you might turn them off. Even still, as your little way to regain some semblance of control in the friendship, you wait until you like it. It’s the small things.
However, when you do go to like it, you see a much higher number of likes than normal, along with several people commenting heart eyes or fire emojis under it. One comment sticks out, though, from yours and Seokjin’s friend, Jimin. All it says is: hyung, i’m not sure you thought this out before posting. You snort to yourself immediately because leave it to Jimin to just come out and say it. You can imagine the text conversation as you sit there. Can almost hear Jimin’s real laugh and Seokjin’s reaction. When your own phone rings, it startles you out of the thought.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?” Seokjin nearly screeches before you finish saying hello.
“Hi to you too,” you respond.
“No, sorry, was that what you meant when you said I should crop it?” Seokjin carries on.
“I’m missing several pieces to whatever you’re trying to ask,” you answer even though you do know what he means. You’ve known Seokjin long enough to know that he texted Jimin and to guess at how that chat went.
“Please don’t act dumb, you already liked my photo,” he starts.
“Because you forbid me from turning off your notifications and missing out on, to quote you, your incredible hotness that’s a gift to us all,” you interject.
“And I know you must have seen the comments, so you saw Jimin,” Seokjin carries on like you hadn’t interrupted.
“Jimin says a lot of things,” you counter.
“Well I called him and he informed me that you can clearly see my dick outlined through my pants on the counter. And then when I said you suggested cropping the picture, he laughed for a full minute before telling me to call you and hanging up,” Seokjin explains.
You curse internally. Just like there’s a lot to get used to with your friendship with Seokjin, there’s even more to accept with your friendship with Jimin. He’s actually really grounded and reliable. The kind of person you can tell anything to. The only problem? He never forgets and makes damn sure you never do either. Case in point: your crush on your best friend.
“Well?” Seokjin prompts when you’re quiet for too long.
“Well what?” you ask.
“Were you looking at my dick in the picture? Is that why you suggested I crop it?” Seokjin continues on, unashamed.
“Ew, don’t say it like that,” you deflect.
“Say what like what?” he asks.
“You know, your…just don’t say it like that,” you stumble.
“You can’t even say it,” Seokjin barks out, obnoxious laugh making you pull the phone away from your ear.
“That wasn’t what I was looking at anyway,” you lie.
“You’re a terrible liar,” Seokjin says, but it’s soft in a way you’re not used to. “But hey, I actually wanted to try this new recipe if you wanted to come over for dinner.”
“Seokjin, are you asking me out?” There’s something about the softness in his voice that makes you bold. Makes you think maybe you’re not in this alone.
“What? No, of course not!” he nearly shouts, voice pitching up at the end.
“You can’t even say it,” you tease back.
Seokjin grumbles on the other end of the call. “Fine, you don’t have to.”
“I’d love to come have dinner with you, but only if you admit it’s a date,” you offer.
“It’s not a…actually, yes I’ll call it a date if…” Seokjin starts.
“Yes, Jin, I was looking at your dick,” you say quickly. “Okay, see you tonight for dinner!”
You hang up the phone before he can say anything else and have a moment of satisfaction imagining his face. It’s so easy to see the way he’d look at his phone, the way the blush on his ears would give him away. You think, for the first time in awhile, this might all be okay.

He Forgets Your Birthday
Jin x Reader
Summary: Jin just wants to make your birthday memorable, but what happens when life gets too hectic and makes him forget?
Word Count: 1.6k
Warnings: angst, swearing
A/N: Thanks to the lovely anon who requested this! Sorry it took me a little bit to get to.
Masterlist
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•
Life moved quickly with Jin, in multiple ways.
The first time you ever met, he asked for your number, fearing you wouldn’t cross paths again and he might not get another chance. You both said ‘I love you’ less than two months into dating, after he accidentally let it slip out during one of your first nights together, you even ended up moving in with him after less than a year when the apartment you were subletting fell through(or more accurately, flooded through, but whatever)
Things also moved quickly because of your careers. Sometimes days would flick by without your realizing, a week would turn into two before either of you noticed, and then suddenly it’s been nearly two months since your last technical date.
Despite your reassurances that you understood, Jin felt guilty at times for the two of you missing out on special occasions like holidays or anniversaries with each other, but one day he promised he wouldn’t let slip past was your birthday.
You weren't exactly a fan of making a big fuss for your birthday, but Jin wanted to make it special for you.
“I’ll cook,” He’d promised you. “I’ll make all your favorites, as well as traditional seaweed soup for good luck, and then we’ll do whatever you want for the rest of the day.”
“What if I don’t want to do anything?” You’d asked, raising a brow as you sat on his lap.
“Then we’ll do nothing together,” He’d replied, pulling you closer. “And have a wonderful time doing it.”
It’d been an easy promise to make when your birthday was still almost a month away, but as the days and weeks passed, things became increasingly hectic. Comeback season was drawing close, and with it came the pressure and chaos of constant rehearsals, video shoots, and promotional activities, leaving Jin little time to think about much else. Half the time you were already asleep before he got home at night, tiredly wrapping himself around you for a few precious hours before starting the cycle all over again.
He didn’t even know what day of the week it was until Jimin spoke up as they slumped against the wall, trying to catch their breath during rehearsals.
“Oh, how’s Y/n? Did they like their gift?” Jimin asked. “I haven't heard from them since I texted happy birthday this morning.”
Jin felt his heart screech to a stop as he looked over at the younger man, hoping he had misheard. “What?”
“The flowers you helped us pick out? I figured they would’ve-” Jimin’s voice trailed off as he noticed the growing look of horror on Jin’s face. “Tell me you didn’t forget?”
Jin’s whole body felt cold as he fumbled for his phone, stomach dropping as he read the date, and then the numerous text notifications from you.
His hands shook as he read your words, his heart pounding loudly in his ears.
‘You left this morning before I got to say it, but love you💖’
‘Do you know what time you’ll be home?’
'Ngl, I'm kinda excited for tonight, it's been ages since I had your cooking😋'
‘Jinnie? Is everything okay?’
‘You’re not coming, are you?’
‘You could at least answer your phone so I know you’re okay.’
Shit.
Sparing no time explaining to the others, he grabbed his things and bolted out the door, nearly sprinting for the elevators.
He couldn’t believe how badly he’d fucked up, you must’ve been so upset with him. How would he even explain himself to you? Would you even talk to him when he got home? He wouldn’t blame you if the answer was no.
“Y/n?” He called as he opened the door but the house was silent, all the lights off, the stillness seeming to loom over him as he kicked off his shoes.
Tip-toeing through the house, he caught sight of the bouquet of flowers the guys had sent you sitting proudly in the center of the dining table, their cheery brightness almost mocking him now.
As he neared your shared bedroom, he caught sight of a sliver of light slipping out into the hall from the crack in the door.
Peeking in, he found you curled up on your side of the bed, sound asleep, but he could tell by the puffiness around your eyes that you’d been crying, shattering his heart completely.
He slowly sank down on the bed next to you, gently brushing your hair out of your face.
“I’m so sorry, Y/n.” He choked, tears blurring your image in front of him. He felt like the worst boyfriend in the world, how could he have forgotten something like this?! He had promised you!
He’d always tried so hard to live up to his commitments and responsibilities in your relationship, no matter how small, but in the moment when it mattered the most, he’d failed you.
“Jinnie?” Your cracked, sleep laden voice snapped his attention back up to you, meeting your tired eyes.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry.” He said, crying in earnest now.
“ ‘s okay.” You said drowsily, too tired to fight with him.
“It’s not. I made you a promise, and I fucked up.” He said, wiping his face.
You didn’t speak, sitting up slowly and pulling him into a hug. As upset as you might’ve been, you couldn’t stand to see him cry.
You wouldn’t lie, you were deeply hurt, but it wasn’t just for you. You’d seen how hard he’d been working lately, coming home late sore and exhausted, bags under his eyes from fatigue. You hated seeing him so tired all the time, so stressed and not able to do anything about it. You knew that under normal circumstances, he would’ve never forgotten, but your lives weren’t normal.
“I’ll make it up to you, I promise.” He cried into your neck. “I’ll find a way.”
“Jinnie, I don’t care about the dinner,” You said, trying not to start crying again yourself as you pulled back to look at him. “All I really wanted was to be with you.”
“I’m sorry.” He whispered.
“Just come hold me, please.” You half dragged him under the covers with you, winding your limbs around each other tightly.
Neither of you spoke much as you slowly drifted off to sleep, clinging to each other desperately, needing to feel each other to be sure you were both still there.
When you opened your eyes the next morning, you found his side of the bed empty.
Sitting up slowly, you glanced around, questions only just beginning to form in your mind before you heard a faint noise from somewhere in the house, the scent of one of your favorite dishes drifting through the open bedroom door.
Still groggy, you climbed out of bed and followed the smell to your kitchen, where you found your missing boyfriend, his back to you as he stood over the stove, fussing at something he was stirring.
“Why are you so salty? I didn’t even add that much.”
“Maybe it’s just in a bad mood.”
He turned at the sound of your voice, eyes softening as they found you in the doorway, messy hair and sleep clouded eyes, wearing one of his pajama tops as a sleepshirt.
“I thought you were still asleep.” He said softly.
“What are you doing?” You asked.
“Fulfilling my promise to you.” He said, turning back to the stove for a moment as he spoke. “It’s not quite all of your favorites, but it’s a start. Plus, we’ve got the whole day to do whatever else you want to do.”
“I have work.” You said, not unkindly.
“No, you don’t.” He responded. “I left them a message saying you were sick and couldn’t come in today.”
“Sick with what?” You asked.
“Bad boyfriend-itis,” He said, coming over to hook his arms round your waist. “It’s a very serious condition, it requires a lot of rest and care to recover from.”
“You’re not a bad boyfriend.” You said quietly, fiddling with his shirt collar.
“I’m not so sure about that.” He said, frowning.
“Well, I am.” You pushed up on your toes to press your lips to his softly, making him melt instantly. You let your hands slowly trail up and around his neck, earning a slight shiver from him before you pulled away to look at him. “What about rehearsals?”
“I told them the same thing as your work.” He said with a slightly dazed grin.
“You have boyfriend-itis too?” You raised a brow at him questioningly.
“Are you kidding? I’m patient zero.” He replied, earning a giggle from you, making his heart swell as he smiled down at you.
“Go back to bed,” He said softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “I’ll call you when it’s ready.”
“I don’t wanna go back to bed.” You said, wrapping your arms around his waist, looking up at him seriously. “I told you last night, I just want to be with you.”
“Alright then.” He hooked his hands under your thighs, boosting you up to sit on the counter with a surprised squeak from you. “You can sit here and be my lovely assistant.”
“I don’t even know what you’re making.” You giggled again.
“Doesn’t matter, just follow my lead and make yummy noises when I show you something.”
The two of you talked as he continued cooking, stopping each time he passed by you to leave a kiss on your waiting lips. Once everything was ready, you moved to the table, sitting close enough that you could reach over and grab his hand as he settled next to you.
He glanced up at you. “What is it?”
“Just thank you.” You said.
He tilted his head. “For what?”
“Being you. Being here.”
Jin felt the familiar twisting in his chest as he leaned over to press another kiss to your lips.
“Always.” He promised.
He wouldn’t make the same mistake again, he swore to himself, he would be there for you, no matter what else was going on. You were his world, his heart, and he would make sure you knew that from now on.

meet me at the bar: epilogue
Tumblr media
pairing: kim seokjin x reader type: drabble — meet me at the bar’s epilogue au: law school/bar exam, est. relationship word count: 1.2k rating: pg13 genre: fluff summary: as it turns out, there is life after the bar exam. a/n: i suppose this does make sense outside the context of the one-shot, but i def recommend reading that first ✨ like the OG, this epilogue is dedicated to mj (@yoongiphoria), who army (get it? 👀) crawled through the ringer and lived to tell the tale! so excited to eventually welcome you to the profession, bb 💕 🔞 MINORS WHO INTERACT WITH ME AND/OR MY CONTENT WILL BE BLOCKED, WHETHER OR NOT THE CONTENT IS NSFW. I’M AN ADULT WRITING EXCLUSIVELY FOR OTHER ADULTS.
Seokjin sits at a small cafe table. In front of him sit two things: one he’s sure of and one he’s not.
“This is barbaric,” you mutter under your breath.
You hit the refresh button on your browser again, the same way you have — on a second-by-second basis — since you both sat down. Crazed, your eyes flick up to Seokjin. You repeat yourself emphatically, “Barbarism, Seokjin. Do you hear me?”
He tries his best to keep a straight face, so he pulls his coffee mug to his lips and hides his smile behind the rim. You look back down again before you can even see him nod in agreement. Of course, you go right back to assaulting the touchpad of your laptop.
You’re not wrong, not in the slightest. The Office of Bar Admissions just put you through the most treacherous experience of your academic and professional lives, and it wasn’t done fucking with you. Now that you’d survived the exam itself, you had to sit and wait — not just for your results, but for potential public humiliation.
Everyone who has a stake in this exam — test takers and prospective employers — and anyone who doesn’t — friends, relatives, professors, underclassmen, sundry assholes, etc. — can log onto this extremely public, government website at eight o’clock this morning. If they do, they’ll see a list of names: every single person that passed this exam and would be admitted to the practice of law.
Likewise, anyone can easily find out whose names are missing. Broadcasted at lightning speed, your business becomes everyone else’s. Whether you want to or not, you have to share your greatest success — or biggest disappointment — with whoever the fuck might want to look for it.
Scrubbing your anxious hands over your face, you sigh, “I think I’d rather stand naked in the middle of Lotte World. I mean it; that would be infinitely less horrifying than this.”
“For you, maybe.”
Seokjin grins, sets his mug down, and nudges your untouched plate closer to you. On any other morning, you would’ve inhaled that breakfast sandwich by now. Today, however, you’re on a self-imposed hunger strike until you have answers.
“For the unsuspecting onlookers, I think that would be a criminal offense.”
You roll your eyes, but when you reset them, you’re looking straight at him.
It’s the way anyone would dream of being looked at, he thinks. Like every annoying thing about him is still somehow endearing, worth loving — and that little smile of yours is all for him. Just like that, he’s blushing in the middle of a café, not giving a shit who sees.
Crashing through his thoughts, the alarm you set goes off with a wail, like you’re being summoned to an air-raid shelter rather than notified of the time. You scurry to grab it. Fumbling to turn that siren off, you cast panicked glances around the room to find anyone you might owe an apology for startling. As usual, it’s just the two of you.
You spit it all out so fast that Seokjin can hardly keep up.
“Will you still love me if I shit myself in the café? Because I fucking might, and I need to know if a break-up is going to be added to my list of rejections this morning.”
There are nervous talkers, and then there’s you. You worry in X-Games mode like it’s nobody’s business — and honestly, it’s kind of impressive.
“My whole family is going to know before I can even disclose failure myself and I —”
Seokjin doesn’t know if anything he might say would comfort you, but he’s at least slightly worried that you’ll anxiety-barf onto your laptop. To minimize the collateral damage, he reaches across the table, picks it up, and pulls it over to his side.
As if he just pulled the plug on your life-support machines, you slump down into your chair. There, your head droops against the metal back with a small thud. You then stare up at the ceiling like you’re actively watching your soul leave your body.
“No matter what happens, we’ll be okay.” He assures you while refreshing the browser. “I promise.”
Funnily enough, trying to keep you calm has made him feel the most stable he ever has. One of you has to keep your collective shit together; and it’s clearly not going to be you, so he’s committed to remaining zipped on your behalf. His fingers don’t even shake as he scrolls down that godforsaken list, scanning with narrowed eyes.
“Well?” You urge.
After a few seconds of listening to your knee bouncing underneath the table, Seokjin closes your laptop and sets it down slowly. He takes a deep, measured breath before he finally looks back up at you. With how unabashedly freaked out you are, it’s a miracle that he can’t feel your pulse from the other side of the table.
“So, I have bad news —” He starts with a sigh.
You freeze.
“— We can’t add esquire to our email signatures until after we’re sworn in, which will apparently be two weeks from now.”
The last thought Seokjin has before being tackled to the ground is that he’s thankful nobody else came in for coffee this morning.
The first thought he has when he reopens his eyes, now flat on his back, and sees that insane look on your face — a mix of terror, annoyance, disbelief, and excitement — is that he was right when he decided never to doubt you. More importantly, he was right that you truly are capable of anything.
Up to and including public displays of aggression.
Damn does he love you.
You sit back on your heels but you don’t make any moves to get off of him. With a shaky laugh, you say, “I think I have to kill you for that.”
“Understandable,” he demurs, shrugging. Then, he reaches up to swipe a tear off your cheek with the pad of his thumb, smiling sweetly. “Just don’t represent yourself at trial over it, okay?”
Playfully, you swat at his chest before clambering off of him. Once you make it steadily to your feet, the same hand that smacked him is held out to help him up. He takes it without hesitation.
Back at his full height, he accepts the arms you lace around his neck, swoons just a little when you push up on tiptoe. You kiss him softly, but it hits hard. That gentle brush of your lips makes his knees so weak that he fears he’ll end up on the ground again.
You pull away breathy. Though your eyes are a little bit misty, you grin like you can’t help it. For the record, he can’t, either. You sigh, “I genuinely cannot believe that I survived this bullshit.”
“Really?” Seokjin asks, eyebrows raised.
His arms wrap around your waist to hold you closer, allowing you to nestle your face into his sweatshirt. He means it, so he says it with his whole chest and hopes you hear it: “I was sure you would.”
“Don’t think I would’ve been able to do it without you,” you mumble into the fabric.
“You could have,” he murmurs. Leaning down, he kisses the top of your head before continuing, “But you didn’t have to.”
The two of you stand like that for a while — wholly entangled in the middle of a café, in broad ass daylight — without speaking. It helps him try to wrap his brain around it all. After all, the landscape is different now than it was an hour ago; and unless he’s fully lost it, Seokjin swears that the grass really is greener.
For the first time ever, he doesn’t feel the weight of the dreaded unknown pushing down on his shoulders. He just feels you leaning against him and an unfamiliar sense of peace. All of that gratification he’s delayed his whole life, too, as it falls right into his hands.
But Seokjin’s not great with that whole thoughtful silence thing, so he smirks, “Gonna call me counselor in bed now, jagi?”
Your head snaps back so quickly, you could’ve decapitated yourself. Incredulous, your eyes narrow as your mouth pops open. Instantly, the look on your face pulls that windshield wiper laugh out of him; so, he slaps his hand over his mouth to keep quiet.
You challenge him with eyebrows raised sky-high. “Gonna make me file a cease and desist letter?”

•••
Jin loved his members so much. Especially Jungkook, he was like a kid to him and a little brother to you. But never did he expect that he would want to kick him out someday, that too, for giving him blue balls.
Yep. The kid currently chewing the food, you, his girlfriend made for a date HE was supposed to be on with you, alone, intimately, with you on his lap, making out or maybe even more than that. BUT!
Somehow, today was not Jin’s day. He had you so close, against the kitchen counter, you smiled at him, suggesting things he totally understood. Wine visible in your eyes and on your cheeks. He wanted to kiss you everywhere, but what is he doing right now?
“Noona, did you really make this sauce with peanut butter?”
Yea, he was watching Jungkook lick the spoon that rested inside the sauce.
“Mhm.” You nod happily seeing him eat. You loved to feed people with the food you cooked. It was kind of your love language. You made chicken satay for the dinner, which Jin had been craving ever since you made it two weeks ago.
Cheeks still flushed, you watch the younger guy eat the saucy dish with full cheeks. Earlier, Jin wanted to tell him that you guys were somewhat busy, but you being you, the pretty, loving and so loveable you, wanted to feed the guy who came directly from the airport since he was hungry and wasn’t in the mood to make something.
Why the fuck didn’t he order take away?
“The chicken is also so good and soft. Can I take some home?” Jin’s eyes sparkle at the sentence the maknae lets out.
“Yes sure! Get up, I’ll pack some.” Jungkook lifts his head with wide, confused eyes to watch his hyung get up immediately, almost knocking the chair over. Holding Jin’s hand, you stop him with a pout on your lips, big eyes requesting him not to be rude. His shoulders sag as he rolls his eyes, sitting back in his chair.
“I’ll pack you some later, Kook. You tell me more about your vacation, we’ll have dinner with you while we talk, right, baby?” You look at your boyfriend, squeezing his hand softly. Requesting.
Jins nods, he cant refuse anything you ask. Although he wants to smack his clueless brother.
After almost 20 minutes later, Jungkook decided to leave with some chicken and sauce packed in a small bento. The only silver lining in the cloud visible to Jin was how you all had finished dinner, and after Jungkook leaves, you both could finally-
“hey hyung, Yoongi hyung just messaged to ask if you wanna have drinks at his place? Taehyung hyung and Namjoon hyung are also gonna be there, others are slightly busy.” He says, looking at you, and you nod gently listening to him.
“I dont think I could-“ Jin mumbles, hesitantly rubbing the back of his neck.
“You should go, baby. I mean, you guys need some rest and time out of the company.” You tell your boyfriend, and he turns his head at you in confusion at which you nod with a smile. “you go wait for him downstairs, kook.” Hearing this, Jungkook looks at his hyung, moving his brows up and down in question.
Letting out a sigh, Jin mumbles. “Yea I’ll be there, you go.”
“Okay, but bring the makgeolli you made. It's so good.” Jungkook says as he slips his shoes on leaning in for a side hug with you. “See you later, Noona, come hyung.” He nods his head in the door’s direction, stepping out.
“I definitely would’ve if I continued the date.” He mumbles with narrowed eyes, and you chuckle. Squishing his cheeks as he picks his jacket from the coat hanger by the door, you kiss him on the cheeks. “I hope you know why I want you to go, right?”
He nods and pecks your lips, “so that I can chill with the boys.” He says eyes on the fabric, still nodding but with poutier lips, hands fiddling with the jacket's zipper “Mhm. You haven’t done that in ages, baby.” He nods again, and you smile, kissing his lips.
“Also, you should know that when you come back home you can...” You lean in whispering the dirty details. He groans in your ear, and you chuckle at how his hands tighten around your hips, “you want me to leave after saying that?!” he whines as you pull back, chuckling. “I can't wait for you to come back home, baby.” You whisper in his ear as he hums smiling.
He gives a smack on your hip, and you yelp, laughing.
“Me too, baby.” he says with a smirk on his lips.

“I tried to make you cinnamon rolls.”
seokjin x reader (oc) genre: fluff word count: 1.9K
a/n: Hi lovelies! I’m back! Here we have Poopsie/reader attempting to bake some cinnamon rolls for Jin and her execution fails. And Jin is just the sweetest, of course, like obviously <3 I hope you all enjoy and thanks for reading! :))
p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEOKJIN!!!!!!! my most beloved.
Tumblr media
It all started with a craving. Jin’s craving from the night before. He said it while tangled up in disarrayed sheets, his skin warm as you lied against his frame. His fingers brushed along your bicep, his breath labored as he chuckled to himself, you placing a kiss to his bare chest before smiling against him. It was just a simple, “cinnamon rolls sound so good right now.”
A stupid post-sex craving.
You had woken up with an insane desire to satisfy that craving for your boyfriend. All you wanted was to do something nice for him, after all the things he’d done for you over the years. It had to be perfect and delicious, Jin had to be able to taste how much you loved him with one bite of the doughy pastry. You needed to show him how much you cared, how devoted you were.
And perhaps that was why you were so disappointed when Jin walked into the kitchen after a long day of dance practice and rehearsals, not to the cozy scent of cinnamon and freshly baked bread, but instead to the smell of something burning and the image of you scraping the charring off a blackened ball in your fist.
Maybe it was your sniffling that alerted Jin, or possibly the way you harshly wiped your face with the sleeve of your sweatshirt, the butterknife in your fist dangerously close to your eyes, but he darted toward you.
“Hey, hey, hey,” Jin calmly addressed you, startling you as you jumped in surprise of his entrance. You hid your face by looking downward as you continued your task, suddenly feeling lame for both your poor baking attempt and your damp cheeks. “Hey, what happened?” He asked, worry laced in his tone. “Are you ok?”
Sighing, you shrugged as you attempted to collect yourself but failed as your eyelashes became wet and heavy again. Glancing through your clouded vision at the terrible baked goods sitting sadly in the dish, you finally stopped the action of scraping the cinnamon roll. “I swear it smelled really good in here ten minutes ago.”
Jin’s hand settled on your lower back, his presence bringing both comfort and embarrassment. His other hand hovered over the roll in your hands. “What’s this?”
“I tried to make you cinnamon rolls,” you spoke quietly, clearing your throat after hearing the hoarseness of your own voice.
“You did?” he asked softly, his tone radiating fondness.
“I fucking burned them,” you said in vexation, tossing the hardened dough into the sink before he could take it from you. It made a clunk sound, eliciting a scoff from you.
Before you could berate yourself further, Jin took your wrist in his, gently removing the knife from your grasp and setting it in the basin before he intertwined his fingers with yours. Turning you toward him, he dipped his head to meet your lowered gaze, drawing your eyes to his. “But are you hurt?”
“No,” you groaned at yourself, squeezing your eyes shut and titling your chin toward the ceiling. “I’m just frustrated.”
Pulling you into his arms, you heard him sigh near your ear. “Baby.”
“I’m sorry,” you quietly whined, pitying yourself.
You felt him shaking his head before he opened his mouth to respond. “What are you apologizing for?” Jin questioned, his tone on the verge of outrage. “I love you,” he added as though that was all that mattered. As though it would fix everything.
Still upset over your failure to conduct the perfect scenario, you groaned against him. “Because I was trying to do this thing for you and I fucked it up.”
“And I think you’re incredible for trying,” he assured you, bringing a hand to your jaw to direct your eyes to his once again when you attempted to look to the side of him. “Hey, you’re the sweetest.”
“I just don’t know what I did wrong,” you whined, more tears gathering in your bottom eyelashes. “It said 20 minutes, I did that. I triple checked the temperature. I followed the recipe step by step, I bought yeast,” you explained, Jin struggling to hold back a smile. “I let the dough rise for an hour and a half, only to then punch it back down— which you know what? It seems really counterproductive after letting it rise for that hour and a half—” you interjected, ranting as Jin continued his fight to hold back a grin. “I rolled it out, I made the cinnamon filling and spread that all out, I rolled the stupid thing up, I even measured before I cut it into the rolls.”
“Seems like a lot of rolls and rolling,” Jin joked, earning another whine from you.
“Jin,” you pouted, followed by a huff.
“I’m sorry,” he chuckled lightly, his hand snaking to the back of your head, his fingers digging into your hair as he tugged you forward against his frame. His arm easily wrapped around you, holding you close as his hand soothed up and down your back.
“Did you do this because of what I said last night?” He wondered, his voice muffled against the side of your head, his lips then leaving a sweet kiss to the spot.
“I just thought it would be nice,” you muttered into his chest.
“It is nice,” he insisted, massaging your scalp with his finger pads.
“I’m a failure and this whole thing is embarrassing,” you countered, Jin sighing as he shook his head.
“You’re not a failure,” he whispered. “And you have nothing to be embarrassed about, do you rem-” he huffed. “You watched me fall out of bed butt ass naked this morning, who’s gonna judge you around here?”
Damn him, you thought as your face cracked into a smile. A light chuckle tumbled from your lips as you pushed away from Jin just enough to peer at his features, finding a gentle smile directed at you.
“I wore you out last night, I can’t blame you for having trouble on your feet this morning,” you joked with a shrug, Jin’s grin widening as a dorky squeaky laugh met your ears. Sighing, you glanced over at your blackened rolls. “I just wanted to do something nice for you.”
Jin’s pillow lips settled against your cheekbone, smooshing them to your face as he kissed you carelessly in a series of smooches. “You fucked me so good last night I craved cinnamon rolls for the first time in my life,” he mumbled near your ear, leaving another messy peck to your cheek. “You do plenty for me.”
“Stop,” you whined, shoving against his chest and laughing as you stepped away from him. Jin’s hand wrapped around your wrist, keeping you from going far as he beamed at your brightened expression. For the first time, he allowed himself to look at the cinnamon rolls, a sad sigh instantly falling from his lips.
“Oh Poopsie,” he smiled gently. “You didn’t do anything wrong, that baking dish is a piece of shit.” Looking at him with curious eyes, he shook his head. “I meant to toss it out, the metal is too thin and the food gets way too hot in it.”
“Well, fuck,” you frowned, your shoulders slumped. “Stupid pan. It’s lucky it’s metal and not glass with the way I slammed it against the stove earlier,” you cracked a smile at yourself. “I put on quite the dramatic performance in here.”
Tsking at you, he pouted slightly. “How much time did you put into this?”
“Ah,” you shook your head as though it was nothing. “The longest part was waiting for the dough to rise.”
“I’m sorry, my love,” he pulled you closer to him.
“No, it’s ok.” Rolling your eyes, you looked back at Jin. “I think I just don’t like failing,” you smirked. “I’m usually such a stud, I’m not used to it,” you teased, Jin chuckling at you, his bread cheeks soft as his eyes crinkled prettily.
“I know!” he agreed wholeheartedly. “You know, I’ll eat those anyway if it’ll make you happy.”
“God no, you’ll chip a tooth,” you giggled, lifting another roll from the pan and tapping it against the counter to show Jin how hard they were.
You were sure that your aversion to failure was partially to blame for your emotional outburst. However, a bit deeper down you knew it was because you felt like you only had so much time to show Jin how much you cared for him. Your boyfriend was a provider at heart, a domestic god who was always taking care of everyone. Being able to provide for him was something you believed to be a privilege; being the person who could give him peace and quiet, be a shoulder to lean on, the one with his best interests at heart, and yes, even the person who could give him a sweet treat smothered in even sweeter icing.
“You’re incredible for this,” Jin told you more seriously, staring at you with gentle eyes. “I mean it, I would never have expected this but it’s such a you thing to do and god, I just love you”
Staring at him, you found his soft brown eyes glimmering back at you, expressing all the feeling behind the words he spoke. “Expect what, burnt dessert?” You joked, flashing him a grin.
“No,” he smiled fondly. “Someone caring enough to do all of this,” he gestured to the kitchen. “But of course you’d do this. You go to work all day and then just because I said something in a fucked out daze you went through all this work.”
Watching him carefully, you could tell there was something lingering on the tip of his tongue. Squeezing his hand in yours, you encouraged him to say it. He gave you a sad smile before shrugging defeatedly. “I don’t want to have to miss you.”
You felt the sting in your eyes, triggering you to quickly blink it away. There it was, the overreaching bitterness to your every interaction these days. Every act of devotion came along with the knowledge that you’d soon be apart.
Not wanting the moment to turn sour, you wrapped him up in a hug and kissed the side of his forehead. “Then don’t miss me yet,” you whispered to him, pressing a heap of pecks to his face again. “I’m right here,” you mumbled into his skin.
You could feel the way his cheeks lifted as he smiled before he nodded. “Hey, that looks pretty good,” he nodded to the counter, gesturing at the bowl of icing.
“Oh, yeah, that actually is good,” you informed him. “I did one thing right.”
Shooting you a quick glare, he then wasted no time in grabbing the bowl and wrapping an arm around your lower back before pushing you backward out of the kitchen. The night would turn out to be perfect, you and Jin together creating a memory to look back on fondly.
On the nights he wouldn’t be around, you would think back to this moment. Just you and Jin cuddled up on the couch as he teased you for your baking mishap, the both of you babbling on about the events of your respective days, your hopes and plans for your shared future, and how goddamn good that cinnamon roll icing tasted on each other’s lips.

“One-time thing,” you whispered, knowing you were lying through your teeth. Seokjin didn’t care, he agreed easily as you kissed him, his back hitting your bedroom door.
“One time,” he says between kisses, his large hands gripping your hips, squeezing just to make you moan.
Your mind is silent for once, the peace welcomed as you kiss your best friend again. Your hands grip his shirt, untucking it from his tight pants, fingers brushing his belt buckle in your haste.
“Seokjin,” his name escapes you in a needy moan. If he were anyone else, you’d be embarrassed but you can’t be bothered as he presses his hips against you, his erection throbbing when you say his name again.
Stumbling, you open your bedroom door. You strip as you make your way to your bed. Seokjin is captivated by the slinky lingerie and garter belt you’re wearing.
“A girl can hope,” you smirk.
“Fuck,” he curses, running a hand through his blonde hair.
Seokjin kisses you again, hopefully not for the last time.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: seokjin x reader
genre: politician au, lite enemies to lovers; crack, fluff
warnings: use of US political positions & terms, swearing, bickering, alcohol, a lot of bad jokes, unedited because i think i've kept these requests waiting long enough. if there's anything glaringly bad, though, lmk.
wordcount: 2.3k
had a few seokjin requests in my inbox from the valentine's day drabbles, so i decided to combine them into one fic:
bare — as they get undressed, the sender gently places a soft, tender kiss against the receiver’s bare shoulder.
"i really don't know if this is a yes."
"you need to stop doing that." / "do what?" / "that little eye thing you do when i walk into the room."
Tumblr media
You’re not even sure what this gala is for.
The hospital? No, the last one (two?) had been for the hospital. Needed pretty, important people to dress up in pretty, expensive clothes to raise money for their new wing (board members’ salaries). You know it’s not for the police union, because you wouldn’t be caught dead at one of those, and you’re almost certain the gala for the animal shelter was the one you’d shown up late to last week.
So, yeah—you’re stumped.
Not that it really matters. You’ve fulfilled the requirements and paid the ticket price. Poured yourself into a dress that is, admittedly, a size too small; a dress you will probably have to cut yourself out of later on. Got your hair and makeup and nails done real nice. Rented jewelry three times your annual salary. There isn’t a person in this place that has taken dress pretty, look prettier more seriously than you.
Well, until.
“You need to stop doing that.”
You roll your eyes. Pluck a flute of champagne off a passing waiter’s tray and down it in one go. “Stop doing what?”
“That little eye thing you do when I walk into the room,” Seokjin answers, crooked fingers moving to work at his stupid bowtie. “You can’t possibly expect to be the best-looking person in every room, especially when we’re forced to attend the same events.”
You huff. Privately, because you’d be better off dying than letting Seokjin know he’s successful at getting under your skin. “I can and I do.”
“Well, we all have a tragic flaw.”
“What’s yours, then?”
“Let me rephrase: most of us have a tragic flaw. Not me, though.”
There’s still forty minutes until dinner. Forty minutes until you will once again be forced to sit next to Seokjin and watch as he effortlessly charms the entire table. Watch as people foolishly trip over themselves to get on his good side, laughing at his stupid jokes, complimenting his perfectly-styled hair and his flawless skin and his suits that cost far too much money for a person who claims to be a socialist.
“I’m voting no on your most recent proposal, by the way. Figured I’d get that out of the way early.”
Seokjin sputters, chokes on a hors d'oeuvre someone had probably bent over backwards to hand-deliver to him on a little plate. “What? Why? I specifically wrote in all those stupid provisions you requested.”
“I’ve changed my mind.”
“Fuck you,” he whispers, “I spent months—”
“That’s politics, baby.”
“You’re gonna be the only one,” he accuses, borderline seething, as if you don’t already know this. “Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok are finally on board, so you’re gonna be the lone dissenter. Might be really embarrassing for you.”
“It won’t be,” you assure him. You might be petty and spiteful (you are in politics, after all) but you’re not an idiot (you are in politics, after all, so maybe that’s not true). “Section nine, subsection twelve. That’s my get out of jail free card.”
“That’s the proposed redistricting map. The one you wanted.”
You offer up a smile, pinch at Seokjin’s cheek. “Exactly, and you spelled one of my town’s names wrong. Therefore, I cannot, in good conscience, vote for it. What would my constituents say?”
“You’re tanking this entire thing over a typo? I’ll call Namjoon right now and have him fix it.”
“The Namjoon that’s currently at the open bar going shot-for-shot with Jimin? Looks a little green? Good luck. At least I hired a Chief of Staff who can hold their liquor.”
Steam practically pours out of his ears. He certainly looks to be on the verge of a mental break, what with the angry flush that’s taken over his entire upper body. “Have you forgotten we’re on the same side here? What happened to party loyalty?”
“Oh, Seokjinnie,” you intone, “there’s no loyalty in gerrymandering.”
He scoffs. Grabs so forcefully at his own flute of champagne that he knocks the poor waiter completely off-center. Now he has no flutes of champagne and the floor has ten.
If looks could kill, this would be your funeral instead of whatever this gala is for.
Tumblr media
As luck would have it, you do get seated next to Seokjin.
He’s usually the life of the party. Is usually cracking jokes left and right, wrapping every laterally-important person around his finger. He’s always the first person everyone looks to for a reaction—if he laughs, it’s all good; if his jaw clenches, everyone treads lightly. Either his phone or his checkbook is always out, but tonight there’s nothing more than the proverbial storm cloud over his head.
“I worked on that for months,” he tells you for the fifth time in the span of an hour. “I cannot believe you.”
You take a delicate bite of your dinner. Smile for the camera that leaves stars behind your eyes when the flash goes off. “Uh-huh.”
“This is just so typical,” he continues, seemingly uncaring who can hear him. “I bend over backwards to give you whatever you want, and you stab me in the back the first chance you get. You’re no better than the Roman senate.”
“You want me to start calling you Seok-julius? I’ll be honest, it sounds pretty bad, but if that’s what you’re into...”
“Fuck you,” he says again. “You’re a traitor of the highest degree.”
Jimin shoots you a concerned look. You respond with a roll of your eyes and mime throwing back a drink. Jimin responds with an eye-roll of his own, jerking his head in Namjoon’s direction, then he nods. Him, too, he mouths, then promptly turns his attention back to the older woman beside him whose husband is the head of some important committee. Thank god Jimin’s here to do all your schmoozing for you (and that he can hold his liquor).
“You’re the worst.”
“Okay, Seokjin.”
“I’m getting another drink. Do you want anything?” You stare at him in disbelief, blinking slowly. “I don’t know if that’s a yes.”
“It definitely isn’t. Haven’t you drank enough?”
“No,” comes his immediate response. “My current level of inebriation is disproportionate to the amount of suffering you have bestowed upon me this evening.”
“I don’t know if that’s true. Your eyes are all glassy and your face is really red. I’ve certainly retaken the lead in the best-looking contest—”
“You are insufferable.” Then, because the alcohol has loosened his lips and he can’t seem to help himself, he says, “You are always the best-looking person in any room. Fuck, I need another drink. Namjoonie, get me another drink, please. I regret to inform you I am, in fact, too drunk to leave this table.”
Inexplicably, Namjoon looks at you. Looks like a deer in headlights, but turns to you nonetheless, and you feel your jaw drop. “No,” you tell him, “I’m not dealing with him. He’s your chief.”
“But it’s your fault he’s this drunk,” Namjoon argues, because he’s a shithead who majored in pre-law in undergrad. “He won’t make it to the big speech, at this rate.”
“What are you, five? Then take him home,” you hiss. This is rapidly spiraling out of control. Seokjin, at Level Zero Inebriation, would never compliment you, so he must be very far gone to concede the best-looking title to you.
It makes your stomach hurt.
Jimin’s still busy charming the pants off the committee wife. Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok are deep in conversation and only loyal to one another, so they’ll be no help. You could probably wrestle Seokjin’s phone out of his hands to call one of his lesser staff members, perhaps his driver, but he’d almost certainly cause a scene. Start squawking at you in that tone of his that’s liable to break sound barriers, and that’s the last thing you need.
So, with all the decorum you can muster, you shove the last forkful of risotto in your mouth and fire off a text to your own driver.
Ten minutes, comes the response.
You show the text to Jimin, who merely nods and tells you good luck. You hate that you’re going to need it.
Tumblr media
You don’t know how much Seokjin weighs, but you’re certain eighty-percent of it is in his shoulders.
Thankfully Jungkook, your driver, is much more buff and far less considerate than you are, because he’d just thrown Seokjin over his shoulder and deposited him on your couch, uncaring of his protests and warnings of impending vomit.
“Not my house, not my problem,” was his response.
“Wow, rude,” was yours.
Before anything else, you fetch a bucket and a sleeve of crackers. “Eat up,” you tell Seokjin, who unsurprisingly gives you the finger in turn. “Very mature. Don’t forget you’re only here as the result of your own actions.”
Seokjin mimics you under his breath, and you have half a mind to dump a glass of water on him. But he looks so… helpless. Simultaneously green in the face and pale, looking far from the man with the million-dollar skincare routine; suit rumpled, jacket thrown carelessly over the arm of the couch, shoes untied but still on his feet. You don’t have any pets because you’re never home and are woefully inept of taking care of anything, but something about Seokjin in this moment kicks some long-forgotten nurturing gene into high gear.
So you fetch some water and a blanket. Busy yourself making coffee, because it’s not even nine p.m. and you’re usually never home before midnight, let alone tucked into bed. And those stupid gala entrees are small, so you rummage through your kitchen for something to snack on.
“Did you make enough coffee for two?” you hear from the living room.
“Yeah,” you call back. “How do you take it?”
“Preferably not from my sworn enemy’s kitchen, but I suppose I’ll have to make an exception.”
“I’m gonna spit in it,” you tell him. An overexaggerated gag comes from his direction.
“Never mind. Can I take a shower?”
Tumblr media
If you thought getting him out of the car and in the front door had been difficult, it’s nothing compared to helping him into the shower.
Which you shouldn’t even be doing, considering he’s insistent on not showering in his briefs but also isn’t capable of undressing himself, so it all feels clandestine. Now the two of you are crammed in the bathroom attached to the guest room—the one with the bog standard shampoo and conditioner and body wash, because you don’t trust Seokjin not to pour all your expensive stuff down the drain out of spite.
“Help me help you,” you beg, righting him for the nth time. It’s those goddamn shoulders of his. He’s too top-heavy; makes him susceptible to tipping over sideways into the wall.
“Can’t,” he responds. Barely manages to pop the button on his suit pants before he tips into the wall again.
A frustrated groan escapes you. You’ll never get him into the shower at this rate, and you really want to eat that snack. Not to mention the coffee’s going to get all bitter and gross if you leave it in the carafe too long. “You’re really inconveniencing me, you know that?”
“Sorry.”
You huff, turn him forcefully so he’s facing you. Start working at the buttons of his dress shirt. Tom Ford. Black silk. Probably cost a fortune, because it’s also been perfectly tailored to accentuate his waist, which is… not great for your mental well-being. Doesn’t help that his heady cologne is still stubbornly clinging onto the fabric.
“Did you mean what you said earlier?”
“You’re gonna have to be more specific,” he answers. “I say a lot of things. Don’t usually mean most of them, no.”
“Definitely a politician, then.”
He sighs. Tips his head back, puts that horrible neck on full display. You cover your whimper with a cough. “I thought it best not to fight the inevitable,” he says. “I’m charming. People want to give me things. Might as well use my powers for good.”
“Yeah, sure,” you reply distractedly. Only three buttons left. Thank god he’s wearing an undershirt. “Makes sense.”
“Well, I try to. Hard to do that when someone votes against the proposals I’ve spent months drafting.”
“Uh-huh. Hey, turn around, I think your shirt’s caught on something in the back.”
Seokjin obliges. Blocks your view of your bathroom with his giant shoulders. You’re so glad he can’t see the look on your face, because it’s already pretty pathetic, but then he says, “I did mean what I said, though. About you.” He clears his throat, the flush creeping up his neck again. “Being pretty.”
Your hands tremble as you get his shirt unstuck. As you untuck it from his pants and push it off his shoulders. As you fold it carefully and place it on the counter. As you see a scar on his shoulder and trace your fingers over it. “What’s this from?”
“Assassination attempt,” Seokjin deadpans.
“Can’t imagine why anyone would want to murder you.”
“Me neither.” Then, quieter: “Got it when I fell out of a tree.”
“How old were you?”
“Nineteen.”
You snort your laughter, feeling a little brave with Seokjin’s back to you. “You really think I’m pretty?” you ask, and when he nods again, you throw caution to the wind entirely.
Press onto the tips of your toes. Press a soft kiss to the scar on Seokjin’s shoulder. Smile again at the soft gasp that escapes him, the way he tips over again and expects to bang into the wall, except you’ve turned him all around so there’s nothing to catch him. He tries grabbing onto the shower curtain but it’s hopeless, so he goes toppling into the tub.
“You’re really falling for me, huh?” you ask, extending your hand to help him up. He’s groaning in pain, but he takes it anyway, pulling you in with him. Can’t say you didn’t expect it. Seokjin’s a shithead before he’s anything else.
His arms snake around your waist immediately. “If I say yes, will you change your vote on my proposal?”
“I guess we’ll see.”
