Love, Beauty and Darkness: Part 3

For once, Minako Aino had a day off. She figured she’d use this opportunity to catch up with friends from her teenage years. Then again, there was no guarantee that they had the day off, too...

So here she was, wandering the sidewalks on her own. She was just about to pull her phone out and call someone when she heard an ominous whisper.

“Minako Aino. So we meet again.”

A voice she hadn’t heard for a while. She turned around to see the strange woman who had previously challenged her to a couple eating contests. 

“Oh hey, Maeve.” She may have known this woman’s true identity by now, but in all honesty, she remembers having to conceal a secret identity, herself. “Here to challenge me again?”

“Not necessarily.” Medusa grinned. “At the very least, we won’t be competing. No, I just am dying to know... how much can you fit inside that stomach of yours?”

“You’d be surprised. Or maybe you wouldn’t be! You’ve seen me eat a lot of food before.” Minako said with a giggle.

“Then surprise me.” The snake-haired woman insisted. “I know a great place to test your limits.”

She would warp the two to her castle, set in the Underworld. Minako’s eyes widened at the strange, but not entirely unfamiliar surroundings.

“Are you sure there’s a lot of food here?” She asked, a bit confused by the desert-like atmosphere.

“Oh, yes.” Medusa assured. “Bring in the feast.” She commanded a nearby Skutler.

The tiny monster came back with an entire long table’s worth of food. The goddess of darkness smirked a bit.

“Dig in.” 

Minako cautiously reached for the rolls. These had better not kill her, after all, this woman had very suspicious vibes to her. She bit into one of them, then proceeded to take the entire basket, which had been empty in a matter of less than five minutes. She then went for the mashed potatoes and gravy, and ate the entire supply within a few minutes as well.

“Is that shrimp tempura?” She asked, reaching towards the food in question. 

Medusa nodded. “Made only by our finest Tempura Wizards, I assure you.”

“Sweet.” She ate all the pieces of shrimp as well. If her outfit still fit her by the end of this, she was probably doing something wrong. Still, she reached for the main entree, which was a huge piece of roast beef. It evidently took her a lot longer than the rolls and potatoes, but she managed to eat the whole thing.

“Is that all?” Minako chuckled. “I could still go for a bit.”

“Oh right, there is dessert.” And with that, Medusa would summon a three tier cake. 

The former sailor senshi proceeded to cut into the cake, eating the bottom tier fairly quickly. She made it through the middle tier, though seemed to slow down by the time she got to the top.

“I think I’m done...” Minako sighed. “Mind taking me back home?”

Medusa nodded, warping Minako back to her world. Upon arrival, she had to walk a bit slower back to her place, but her cell service came back on, evidently, because her phone started to get a lot of messages from her old high school friends.

Oh boy. She had some explaining to do.
