i just realized. its been. about six months since i came back to tumblr. so i am making this post.

@shrimpoe - i consider wormy a friend. i hope they consider me a friend too. i go to them for commissions sometimes. they are very creative and i like their au even if i dont say much.

@razzfizzy - ashy is very friendly. i commission her sometimes too. i even drew her a thamk-you gift a while back for the winter comms she did for me.

@shiny-self-shipping - i still remember how she was nice to me when i expressed my insecurity and i drew her a thamk-you gift too. i may have gotten confused about the s/i’s hair color but i hope she still appreciated it.

Not as popular, perhaps? When I think of Lia being canon, I always go with the Au where the canon events happened, so Liakyoin wouldn't be confirmed, but I like to think it would be pretty hinted.

💘: Why would people love your ship? Why would people dislike your ship? How might it start debates?

Maybe they would like it because of how much they complement each other, or for the sun/moon aesthetic they have, or the typical "extroverted x introverted" dynamic.

As for not liking them... With the experience I have, I'm sure she could have the same treatment as Jotaro's wife, aka, be pushed aside by shippers and disliked because of it.

And well... I'm sure the debate will be the typical "he died before it was confirmed they loved each other, therefore it's possible they didn't" vs those who probably wanted it to be canon.

Eliana definitely does forget to eat. It's a side effect of her college days, being so busy studying and working at the same time. She never had a whole lot of time to stop to graduate, but even then she had the bad habit of delving so deeply into her work that she'd nearly pass out in the greenhouse/indoor arboretum before she remembered that a protein bar for breakfast wouldn't last her past noon as active as she stayed. This carried over into the dark future, too, especially since she prioritized Treecko eating first (it made more sense since he was already malnourished and still growing; he had to convince her sometimes to eat even they were running short, so sometimes they would take turns between meals). It's not until she joins the Guild that she gets into a schedule; having dinner at the same time every night provided helped significantly. This helps her fill out her lankier frame, since she's taller than the average Eevee. Lu worries about her when they're traveling a lot, especially after they graduate since they work a lot harder on their own jobs, so he often encourages her to take snack breaks. By the time of TPR she's had to adapt once again since Leafeons don't have to eat as much since they photosynthesize...but even then she's forgetful and wonders why she starts feeling funny and her leaves turn color (think fertilizer deficiencies like yellowing leaves/etc). Grovyle and Dusknoir hover enough to make up for it though. (Dusknoir...your wife is literally a walking, self-destructive house plant, my guy. Hope you have a green thumb.)

Lu would absolutely be oblivious. A couple of the apprentices have harmless crushes on him but he doesn't even notice. He's just so friendly with everyone and expects the same in return to a certain degree that the thought of someone flirting with him just flies right over his head. (I want to ship him with someone so bad but I have no idea who...maybe I need to start brainstorming a new OC...hmm...ideas are welcome. Maybe he ends up needing an assistant at the Guild...)

Honestly? I think Grovyle would be a pretty good artist, although I think he'd be more into sculpting like wood whittling or carpentry or smth, like @sincerely-sofie headcanons (if you don't mind me borrowing that idea, of course). I bet he'd make the most intricate little figurines and the prettiest tabletops/cutting boards/signs. I can maybe see him doing some sort of water color/paint pour-adjacent art style, too, sort of like tie-dying fabrics for various purposes. (He would never admit it but he sometimes bases the color schemes on his team. He doesn't have to though bc they can tell, they just respect his pride enough not to point it out lol)

Definitely canon! While Celebi can and will recall long-term things with relative ease, part of the reason she has to think about it a while is because...well, her long-term memory is very long. Sometimes it gives her a headache to concentrate on things too far back or forward in the timeline, even if it was something she personally experienced, so most of the time she lets her mind go. This gives her a sort of ditsy demeanor, but you'd best believe that she's got dirt on you from your childhood that you were sure no one else knows about. She's just nice enough most of the time not to pull it out of the hat (unless for good reason, of course).

This one...I'm not so sure. (I rerolled a few times bc they were irl-themed, and I stopped here bc it was smth I thought would be interesting to hypothesize). Like I've discussed before, I feel like Dusknoir would be very cautious and self-conscious about his touches after everything. But on the other hand, given enough time to heal and work through his problems, I can see him being a bit more casual in his affection (i.e. pats on the back, brief hugs, laying a hand on shoulders, etc). But full-on wrestling/tackling? That's reserved for Eliana only. He trusts her enough to tell him if he's being too rough, as well as how strong she is to hold her own. Not to the credit of the others, of course, since they're all very strong in their own right (and Celebi is more powerful than Eliana in the scope of abilities obviously, being a Legend), but he just feels more comfortable allowing himself to let the throttle loose more with her (sort of like their habit of playing cat and mouse). Eventually he'd start to pick on her for being so much smaller than him out of affection, like picking her up and tossing her around a bit. He'll scoop her up and start petting her like one would a cat and she'll try to wriggle out of his arms and he'll just keep catching her before she manages to jump back down. He thinks it's hilarious to rub her fur the wrong way, too, but by that point she's tired and has simply given up trying to escape him. The glares she gives anyone else with the audacity to laugh are hot enough to combust.

Okay okay, I'm gonna do it.

Keeping mind that I just finished this book last night and it has probably not been long enough for me to fully process, and definitely hasn't been long enough for my brain to come back together from being truly blown, but here are my initial thoughts after finishing House of Sky and Breath.

Let me start by saying I absolutely, 100000%, hands down fucking loved it. If you didn't enjoy it, then this is not the post for you because I'm about to go on and on about how epic this book was.

Now on to the spoilers

Let's start with my one true love, Ruhn. I'll be honest I went into this book fully believing in Ruhpaxia and this book fuckedddd up my ship 😂, but you know what? I'm not even mad. Ruhn continued to be utter perfection in this book. This selfless male literally made his entrance by giving.... Head to a random female whose name he doesn't know 😂. He continues to back Bryce 100% and being the absolute best brother. And I'm obsessed with his self reflection and cannot wait to see more of his journey. ALSO as if I couldn't love him anymore, SJM goes ahead and makes it cannon that Ruh is basically just an alternate reality Rhysand and I almost had a fucking stroke.

Bryce and hunt are of course also perfect. I love that Hunt supported Bryce all the way even knowing where this damn rebellion would lead. My man has serious trust issues (come on, Baxian was clearly a good guy as soon as he walked on the page. I love that giant dog), but he trusts Bryce no matter what and while then being mates was not at all a surprise I screamed anyway. I cried when he said 'light it up, Bryce', I cried when Bryce said 'light it up, Hunt'. And I fucking sobbed when Bryce sent that poor human boy to live with her parents because it was perfect, and selfless and I love her. Only downside to this perfect couple this book? Hunts damn comparisons to Shahar. Stop it. Shahar sucks, you were dumb, Bryce is a fucking goddess. The end.

Side note on our little human boy, Emile. I knew he didn't have powers from the beginning. Sofie was very specific when she talked about 'the power she told them he had'

Ithan! My man took me by surprise this book. I could live without the Loving Bryce thing, but as my favorite Mer said, she's fucking Bryce, everyone has a thing for her. I am HERE for him claiming the boys as his pack. Mystic wolf is for sure going to be his true mate and they're going to destroy Sabine. I refuse any other outcome.

Ari and Flynn are going to end up together. I don't care if they're mates or not they'll be together. the end.

Hypaxia and Celestina I'll be honest I sort of saw that coming. Celestina was clearly uncomfortable having sex with a man, and Hypaxia had that whole conversation about wanting to continue a relationship even though it was doomed. Did I expect them to get caught the way they did? Hell no. That was pure gold.

Day. Oof, okay this one did catch me off guard and after they revealed it I realized how obvious it was and I really shouldn't have caught me off guard. In the beginning I was positive that day was hypaxia. That was probably my bias still wanting ruhpaxia to be a thing, but then we found out she was consenting to sex with someone she didn't want to be with and I switched to thinking it was Celestina. Literally even after we catch Hypaxia and Celestina together I thought it was here because she said love is a trap she can't stop falling into, and I thought yes, she loves Hypaxia and Ruhn, we get the threesome we've been waiting for, everyone wins. Mannnn was I wrong 😂. When the Harpy came out and they made us think it was her for a hot second my cousin literally said man I thought it was going to be the Hind and I was like no way is it her. Again, boy was I wrong 😂. At the end of the day I don't hate this ship. I truly do feel bad for her. She was sent to live with her dad and twisted into something she didn't want to be, now Ruhn is shutting her out and she is tryingggg. I'm tentatively good with them ending up together.

Tharion. I'm not going to lie my mer let me down a little in this book. Don't get me wrong I still love him, and I hope he gets his happily ever after, but wanting to trick Ari into being trapped under? Not cool. This viper queen deal? Shadyyyy. I get that he was out of options I just truly don't understand why he didn't take the offer on the ocean Queens ship when he had it.

Cormac. Ugh I don't know that I've ever gone from hate to love a character so quickly. He walked in there like the scum of the earth and 5 minutes later I was like oh I love him. But, let's be honest we all knew he wasn't going to make it after they revealed Sofie was dead, and for sure after he had that heart to heart with Ruhn.

I already made an entirely separate post about the perfection that was that last chapter, but let me just reiterate that I AM OBSESSED with Bryce being in Velaris. I cannot believe she gave us a crossover and I'm genuinely concerned that I may never appreciate a book ending as much as I appreciated this one.

Sam and Rowena is my favorite ship to write. This is a fun story with the two of them because it’s a one-shot that also fits into my series.

This Is Halloween

Summary: Jack finds out about Halloween and insists on throwing a party in the Bunker.

Why the author likes this fic:

I’m proud of what I did with the ensemble cast in this one, not just Sam and Dean with a little of the Sam x Rowena ship, but also Jack and Cas as well as Jody and Donna. It’s the sort of light hearted fun that the Winchesters deserved so much more of.

I wrote this one so it could be Sam or Dean (or any man of your choice, really) but in my head it was never anyone but Sam. Nothing but pure self-indulgent fluffy smut.

Bearded Chief!Sam really does something to me. I wish he really did have the kind of companionship and connection I've given him in this story.

I had to write this for me, as a fan of this show and a lifelong Sam girl. There were too many questions that I needed answers to. At some point it became about much broader grief and loss. I wove some very important things into the story and I love it very much.

Summary: Intimacy and trust and agency in the wake of trauma. ~6990 words, explicit.

Why the author likes this fic:

Communication, consent and a level of comfort are big themes in her writing. It’s part of what I enjoy even when a particular pairing or kink might not be my specific thing. She puts a tremendous amount of thought and care into her characters and it shows. This one is especially tender as it deals with a painful but very real topic, and the author handles it beautifully in this story.

The Kinda Girl You Like by @thoughtslikeaminefield

Summary: After Sam reveals to Sofie his sub that he likes to watch, she decides that they should act on it. Then he tells her what exactly it is that he likes to watch…

Why the author likes this fic:

First of all, no one writes a Winchester threesome like she does. Every story she writes has something special about it, and this one is amazingly memorable. I really like this one because she has done a wonderful job of getting in Sam’s head and weaving all kinds of emotion and thought in with some really blazingly hot smut.

Walk Me Home by @itmighthavebeenintentional

Summary: Twenty-four years ago, Kimberly Harper met a boy who changed the course of her entire life before up and leaving one night. She spent years moving past the memories, building a stable, satisfying career as professor of folklore and mythology at the local university. Then the accidents start, and she’s forced to seek help among her hunter contacts. All it takes is a knock on her office door to send Kimber’s carefully built emotional walls crumbling to the ground.

Why the author likes this fic:

Her writing absolutely transports you to the story and you live in it long after you’ve read the last word. The characters she creates, the plots she develops, and her way with words is nothing short of masterful.

Both of the volleyball teams’ practices had just ended and I was walking towards the front of the school to wait for Mattsun and Makki. I would’ve walked with all of the 3rd year but I was avoiding both Hajime and Oikawa at the moment.

Oikawa, because he had let it slip that I was completely in love with Hajime,, my best friend since the 3rd grade,, and Hajime because I was scared of what he was going to say if we do talk.

I made it to the gate but neither Mattsun, nor Makki were there waiting for me, nobody was even there— except for my dearest best friend, Iwaizumi Hajime.

I froze in my spot, “uhm hi.”

“Hey,” he spoke in the most gentle voice, like if he were to talk any harsher I would break down in front of him and start crying.

Despite his attempt to not make me upset, tears still start welling up in my eyes, “Look I’m sorry! I understand if you don’t feel the same—“

“Do you wanna go out to dinner with me?”, he cut me off.

“way? Wait-what? I-I-I don’t underst—“

“Like a date. And not one of thoes stupid friendly ones we go on- like a real date,” he firmly stated, cutting me off yet again.

“Uhh-I- yes please, I would really like that.” I utter out in shock.

He wraps me in a big hug. We’ve hugged so many times in the past, but this one was different. It was reassuring and filled with all the feelings we’ve both kept hidden for so long.

“As much as I’m enjoying this hug, that restaurant you love closes in an hour and I really wanna have this dinner date with you so we should probably get going,” he says in that soft tone again that makes me nearly melt into a puddle of flustered mess.

“Oh! hehe yea that would suck hehe,” I mumble awkwardly, my face a literal tomato.

About 2/3 through the walk I feel something brush against my hand.

‘Oml is he about to hold my hand— I will literally perish’

He wraps his pinky finger around mine and looks down into my eyes, “is this okay?”

“It’s perfect,” I respond quickly, still blushing a fire truck red.

We make it to the restaurant and find a table, sitting across from each other. We just look into each others eyes for a while, savoring this moment.

“Hey so you wanna talk about how red you face was,, and stil is?” He teases with a subtle smirk on his face.

“shut up I’m not blushing,” I mumble out denying the fact that I’m the brightest red I could be right now.

“Sure you aren’t,” he holds back a laugh, “I’m sorry but with your face red and your freckles,, you look like a strawberry,” he laughs out, poking my face.

“Hey stoppp ittt” I laugh along with him.

We laugh together, the air around us filled with a lighthearted feel.

“Hi there! I’ll be your waiter today, what can I get you started with?”

We order our food and continue to chat as we wait, it’s almost as if nothing had changed,, still two childhood friends having dinner together after volleyball practice. But it was so much more to each of us because we were spending time together and for once we didn’t have to hide any feeling we had. It didn’t physically change or verbally change, and we both knew that but we could both feel the heavy weight being lifted off our shoulders and the night progressed.

After we ate our food and paid the bill, Hajime suggested that we go to the park in my neighborhood before dropping me off at home.

“Hey Hajime?” I ask, sitting on the swing next to him.

“Yeah?”

“Thank you, I had a lot of fun”

“I’m glad,” he sighs softly “ya know I have had the biggest crush on you since the 7th grade,” he admits.

I quickly look towards him, “ You’re kidding right!?”

“No. Why? How long have you?”

“Summer before 8th grade. Remember, we went to the beach together?”

“Yeah. Didn’t you cut your foot open on a seashell that trip?”

“ mhm and even after I told you I was fine and it didn’t even hurt, you still helped me. That was it for me.”

They’re was a comforting silence between us as we sat on the swing set and looked up at the stars.

“Hey sofie?”

“Hmm?”

“I- uhm- I should probably take you home, it’s getting late,” he stuttered like he was going to say something else but cut himself off.

“Oh yeah heh it is pretty late”

The walk to my house was silent, our hands holding one another swinging between us.

“This is my stop I guess- uhm thank you, I had an amazing time and I would like to do this again,” I walked up to my front door.

“Ah yeah I had fun too, we should do it again sometime.”

“Okay.. well goodnight Hajime, I’ll see you in the morning.” I turn around and start unlocking the door

“Sofie wait!”

I turn back around, “what—“

“Will you be my girlfriend?”

“I- ah- yeah, I’d love to,” I respond, pulling him into a hug.

I pull out of the warm hug, “ under one condition.”

“What is it?” He asks in complete confusion

“You have to be my boyfriend”

He laughs, “ goodnight idiot”

“Goodnight idiot”
