thought id help out since this info seems to be buried so deep.. dann dunn & scott alexander wrote the sunny self-help book! as said here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/24-its-always-sunny-on-wwd/id1469002731?i=100045722329
Oh, what. Haha. That's crazy.. Thank you for the information! So I guess there's no real connection between the book and any of the writers on the show other than Dan Dunn and Rob being friends? Which, I guess means there's some connection there... I dunno. Thank you, though!
(I think this is the link you tried to paste but for some reason it's dead)

Personally, I wouldn't pick either of those, because I'd rather have friends who I have common interests with. But if I had to pick one, I'd pick column A, because they sound a lot more fun than the goodie-two-shoes in column B, who the author of the self-help book in question apparently wants me to pick. :P

I’m currently reading my second “self help book” because it’s thin & easy to hide at work. The introduction to the book is disappointing, but the actual book itself is insightful.

Growth Mindset and the "How to Chase Change" Audiobook Experience
I am admittedly skeptical of self-help books. One of my favorite podcasts is “If Books Could Kill“, an entire series of audio essays dedicated to debunking airport bestsellers that are, more often than not, classified under the self-help umbrella. Still, there was something about How to Chase Change by Alexis Fernandez-Preiksa that made me feel like it could be different. The main concept of…

Checked Out: How to Keep House While Drowning
Today I read How to Keep House While Drowning and it seems like a lot of the reviews either love it or hate it, and I loved it.
I have been ashamed to bring dirty dishes from my room for fear of having a parent/caregiver yell at me (for being dirty, or having anything dirty in my room, regardless of if I had just eaten and was bringing it back out) I have let laundry pile up and just sniff-tested through it until I had no clean underwear and just bought more because I couldn't make myself do laundry I have sat and stared at the dirty dishes I was then too ashamed and afraid to take from my room and mentally repeated what would have been yelled at me -- you're so dirty, you're so disgusting, you're so lazy, god why can't you just do one thing, why can't you do anything?!?! WHY are you LIKE THIS?!?!?!
If you've felt like this, if you struggle in house-keeping and are ADHD or Autistic, this book is for you.
I know this isn't my usual format of a Checked Out post, it's been a while since I've done one and how I consume books has changed, so I will have to change how I format and go about those posts. This book has made me realize that I was attempting to serve my habits, my habits are not serving me, and idk if that makes sense to yall but it makes sense to me, and i'll see yall when i figure this out

Be Unstoppable: No Excuses! Volume 1 by Tariku Bogale
I picked up this book with high hopes, inspired by its intriguing title and a table of contents that promised to focus on time, courage, sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope. I expected a riveting self-help guide to unlocking my full potential. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. This disappointment wasn’t because of the author’s life story—he’s clearly an amazing individual who’s overcome…
