Chronic fatigue, poor circulation, and lymph massage

Something that my mom, who's in treatment for long Lyme, taught me about is the potential helpful effect of lymph node massage on chronic fatigue disorders. Personally, it's something I now do every time I shower (and I shower cold/lukewarm - I heavily reccomend it for anyone with CFS, the hot bath test exists for a reason), or before I plan to start to work out in a day and I notice major differences in my energy levels from it. It's one of those things that turns me away at first because most of the people touting it are people who use the swelling reduction it causes to look more cut/fit or whatever. But that's not what I'm after, and that's okay, because it has a lot more practical application than anything appearance based. A lot of fatigue can come from poor circulation, and fatigue makes us rest more frequently, which causes... poor circulation. Physical manipulation of the lymph nodes and lymph system can help compensate for this quite a bit.

From my own personal experience, those blogs that talk about it with the idea that you need special tools or body oil or whatever else to do it 'properly' are being excessive or trying to sell you something. If you have good strength in your hands and fingers (and I do, I spend a lot of time typing and doing handicrafts) you can just do it by hand. Just look up a chart of where lymph nodes are (hint: above your inner elbows, in your armpits, around the front of your neck, along your belly, around your knees, and in your thighs) and massage, ideally in small circles, semi-firmly in the area. (Don't go too hard, bruising a node makes it worse.) When you're done massaging an area, especially your limbs, use your hand to squeeze the area and semi-firmly sweep up the limb, toward your torso - which is where the central processing glands are, there's one set in your crotch and one set around your collarbones/thyroid. Your goal is to get the lymph nodes to expel/purge some of their fluid and then push it back toward the place where it's processed.

You'll probably need to pee after you're done with this - that's a good sign, since your body expels used/dirty lymph fluid in your urine. Once you've done all of this drink a tall glass of water, your body is going to need to replace the fluid that was just purged. In general, stay hydrated. The lymph system is another reason why exercise is, if done very carefully, very helpful to people with fatigue disorders, as the lymph nodes are more naturally moved around by us exercising. Lymph nodes don't have pumps or anything with which to stimulate them to move fluid other than the muscles surrounding them, so if you don't move around very much due to fatigue or disability, definitely consider trying some self-massage in those areas to get fluid moving. You'll most likely feel better. (Another thing I hinted at earlier: it’s easier in the shower. You can just do it while your skin is soaped up, as a replacement for body oil or anything like that to reduce skin friction and get a deeper massage. You may also need a massage tool if you don’t have a ton of hand/finger strength like I do, but any 5$ massage tool will work, you don’t need anything highly specific.)

Cold water woke up König from his "nap", he was sitting in a metallic chair, two men standing up in front of him, the first thought that popped up on his mind was you.

- Where's...?

- who? Your comrade? I don't think you're in position to ask questions, although... That buddy is hard to break, refusing to speak, maybe you will be different, huh? Because if you don't cooperate, I'll start to play with your partner, I don't think you want that.

Now... Tell me, what were you doing there? What were you looking for?.

König laughed at his face, they think he will be easy, even if they try to use you to obtain information, he will not speak.

- Am I funny?. You! Bring more water and you! electric wire, now.

So they're planning to use electrocution as a first method, they're desperate. Another cold water bucket ran through König's body, he's ready, he's more than prepared for this and worse.

- It doesn't need to be in this way dude, just answer and we won't make you suffer.

- Ja, if this is what you call suffering, go ahead... I have the entire day. Idiot.

And König wasn't lying, of course it hurt, of course his skin was burning, of course he was exhausted but he knew it was better to keep them distracted, away from you. By the end of the day, they took him to a cell.

You heard someone's laugh, you can't believe what you're hearing, you stood up and there he was, König was dragged in the cell in front of you. He laughs and says something in German «Ihr seid alle tote Männer» (y'all are dead men) While the others close the cell. Once they left, you tried to get close to the entrance of your cell, the chain keeps you away.

- König? What happened? Are you ok?

- all good Maus, and you? Did they hurt you?

- I'm not easy to break, I'm okay. How is your wound?

- I think it's fine, after the electrocution it's probably already healed...

He laughed, why is he laughing? What did they say to those guys?

It was quick. He untied himself, breaking his thumbs then putting them in place again, took the man behind him and broke his neck. Before someone else in the room could react you pushed the man behind you and hit him with your head, a kick to another one, König took the man with the gun In his hands, unarmored him and threw the gun at your side, you shot at the men you previously hit, and dressed as quick as possible but your eyes were focused on könig, he has the head of the man between his hands and he started to press it, more and more until a «CRACK» and a last scream filled the room.

- Nobody hurts my Maus.

König looked at you and before he could say something you jumped to him, you don't even feel the pain of the bullet in your shoulder, you hugged him, he returned the hug, you looked up and he looked at you, he looked afraid but then you saw him, he took off his mask. He's beautiful, the scar that goes from his lip to his eyebrow accentuates his facial features, he kissed your forehead and nose, then your cheek and finally left a soft kiss on your lips.

Alarm sound interrupted you, and steps outside the room where you were. He put the mask on again, and both hide at a side of the door.

«Sir! We have problems, enemies are out...!»

Once he gave a step inside the room, könig kicked him, the poor man was on the floor and you didn't even hesitate to shoot. Both went out, running through the halls, killing whoever that appears on your way, the adrenaline inside you, König running at your side, both fighting side to side, this is the kind of love that you always dreamed about, full of adrenaline, adventure. Once you were outside you noticed blood in König's abdomen, it's his own blood, the wound is bleeding again and your shoulder is in pain again.

- fuck... Ahhh

- Let me see Schatz.

- No, I'm fine, let's get out of here you're bleeding again... We need to...

«KÖNIG?» you heard someone's voice, both turned around... Horangi and Roze were the intruders. «We found them, we're on the way back to the rendezvous»

Roze approached you.

- Yeah, we need a medical kit, König has a deep wound that refuses to heal, let's go.

Horangi ran at König's side and helped him to walk, once you arrived, you noticed your team giving assistance to the hostages from the first mission, Price was the first one to notice you, he ran and hugged you

He nodded and left, then the rest of the boys ran to you and König, even Ghost...

He approached König and extended his hand to him, König accepted the interaction and both nodded at each other.

- I have to thank you, you kept Eagle alive, also looks more alive than ever before.

Both looked at you, You let Soap see your wound, you and him were discussing the bullet extraction, he wanted to do it right there and you were refusing. Before you left, Ghost talked with you.

I know one of the writers of Damian's solo series was talking about having him eat meat again because it was culturally appropriate on his mother's side, but I didn't actually read the series and have no idea if he followed through with that. DC's got a habit of having characters flirt with vegetarianism and then walking it back for various reasons…Superman and Poison Ivy are other examples. I guess that's par for the course with characters written by different creators who've got different interpretations.

Probably not long -- there are three episodes left this season, and now Luthor and Helen Villigan are gunning for it so Darkseid likely isn't far behind. That plot and Lisa's mum will (presumably) have to be dealt with before the season ends…and it'll be interesting to find out whether the show continues beyond that point.

sometimes I like talking to strangers while I'm running errands or visiting my bestie who lives roughly 300 km away from my current place of residence. a taxi driver, an elderly lady sitting next to you at a cafeteria, a friendly shop assistant - this kind of strangers.

I moved cities quite early into the full-scale invasion, which is not the first thing I reveal about myself in a conversation.

How will Mikey feel knowing now he has blood on his hands? How he deal with the overwhelming guilt of taking the life of another! Did it really even matter if he didn’t belong in this reality? Was he even alive? Doesn’t it even count as murder? How does Mikey feel? That he killed someone? Even if they were trying to kill him first? You can’t tell me he didn’t fall to his knees in exhaustion and pain after sending Nightsky back in time. You think he’d try and visit him? And find his disheveled mess of an almost dead body on the ground and jsut… stare at him? Nightksy woduktn even have the energy to do anything aside from glare. Even then he woudlnt be able to do it for long. Lifting his head would take too much energy.

would Mikey take him home? Or leave him to die? Would he watch him die? What would he do? Would he try speaking with him? Would he try negotiating? Would he just grab him off the ground with no explanation and take him back with him? Or try to get a few words out of him first? Only to realise he can’t speak and is jsut a shell of himself even more than he already was. Would Mikey feel guilty? Would he feel vindicated? What would he do? Or would he try to negotiate with him before taking his silence from his throat being too dry to speak as refusal of cooperation and just leave him to die alone. All his Pokémon are fainted too, and god knows he doesn’t know any natural revives in this time period. Or does Mikey just stare at Nightsky before leaving him to die? I don’t think Nightsky would be surprised. He’d have so much bitter anger and malice inside of him after seeing Mikey, the man who did all of this to him. Ruined him. I think he’d want to try and fight Mikey’s hands off of him if Mikey takes him home, but his energy would be too low he couldn’t even twitch a muscle.

Di you think If Mikey just let him die/didn’t go back to try and find him he’d be haunted in his Nightmares akin to how Nightsky was haunted by nightmares of his past self back in his home? How would Mikey even live with himself after that? He wouldn’t.

There were so many things Jou and Azuma hadn't talked about before the break, with the Assembly looming over them the whole time as well as the photos leaking and the fallout of that. Was Azuma still going abroad next term?

These are the sampling screencaps Lewis took from the document in order to make his counterpoints. His counterpoints are as follow.

His most recent defense ends here, before he deletes them across all platforms, detailing only the first quarter of a whole document that was put out to inform users of Lewis's behavioral trends and to show why many users who have heard of him or were directly affected by him are keeping him at a distance.

Why does his defense stop here? There's a whole document! This was only a single incident, and much of the context was omitted. The capped DMs almost immediately following the ones he pulled to make his defense would just as quickly rebuke some of his counterpoints.

In this chat, Lewis is feeling guilty over the VRChat incident. Would this not be the place to make his Bakugou avatar claim if people were mistaken about his outbursts, such as what he says in the third counterpoint?

Giving him the benefit of the doubt for a minute for the first counterpoint, maybe he was scared. But of what? This was a server mainly focused on the IP "Balan Wonderworld," a colorful cute platformer. Even without that, the server itself never had a cutthroat "Fail and Face Erasure" vibe. And everyone involved in the game understood that it was just a game, no hard feelings, no "if your character dies you lose rights to it forever" vibe, nothing that would permanently wound anyone involved, OC or creator. So the comment of being scared is just..."What?"

For his sixth counterpoint, Lewis seems to misunderstand that he is being reprimanded and given an ultimatum, not being manipulated by any stretch of the imagination. His behavior described by the users in the server, in this document, and addressed by Red would be unacceptable in almost any given community. He says he was trying to talk to Red about fixing his behavior, Red seems to reply in short, "Please do or I will ask you to leave." This should have come as no surprise to Lewis, whether he feared it or not, that his behavior was unacceptable and many would want to move from it. But as the sole disruptor of the harmony that the server had before, he would be asked to try and take care of it himself in order to remain.

Then there's the fifth counterpoint, "I lied about my temper." This...really doesn't help and could actually make the perspective so much worse. Red wouldn't be as concerned as they were if they weren't warned about it. (But then, why should it be the group's whole responsibility to placate the individual who fails to keep themselves in check?) By Lewis saying he never had a temper to begin with, this makes everything in this document here and henceforth a cruel game of emotions to him, building up to the climax that was his script of faking his missing persons and baiting Sue E. Seid.

If he had any true mental capacity, perhaps this is why his defense ended where it did before it was promptly deleted, but not before several individuals reblogged and put in their two cents. But had he continued to try and reestablish what his mood was at every slight to claim he was not angry, agitated, or put off in some form, it would take miraculous mental gymnastics to justify his plot to make the server feel immense guilt for simply asking him to correct his behavior.
