Random thoughts:

I thought KARD's albums would be like their tts, but they're not. They seem to have a pretty solid discography, I listened to most of it the other day. I like Icky and their recent EP. The members have good stage presence and are competent live singers but the girls are pretty weak dancers (especially the lead vocalist). I think the main rapper is probably their best performer and I like his rapping quite a lot.

I've been enjoying Dreamcatcher's tts more and more recently, but I haven't been checking out their albums (yet). They're some of the best kpop live performers. They sound great, they're good dancers with good choreos, and they know how to engage an audience. I remember I liked their Primavera Sound performance. KARD and them aren't conventional kpop groups. They're better suited for real live stages, especially festivals and stuff.

I think Secret Number finally had a good comeback. DOXA is a cool song imo. It's catchy. I hope it does well.

ICHILLIN's Siren is cool too, but pretty forgettable. It's kind of what you expect from small ggs, but that sound doesn't do well anymore. But the girls are solid dancers and performers, and very fit. I was surprised. They had great arms! I could see the muscle definition!

VERYVERY's Crazy Like That was really cool. It surprised me. They're great dancers and the song's chill and cool. I guess bgs are starting to adopt softer, brighter sounds that aren't necessarily cute or fanservice-y. They probably have to if they want to chart well anyway.

I don't know who ADYA is but Per is cool.

Genji asks, walking in after a long trip to the arcade. He glanced at the clock seeing it read 9:00pm. School got out around 3, and his practice ended at 5.

"Oh, he's out with a friend. He should be coming in soon."

Genji scoffs "Him going out? With who? Who wants to go out with the stick in the mud?"

"And that's when my mom came in and saw that I was covered in chocolate!"

"Oh? I knew she was upset with you.."

"Oh definitely!"

Genji watched as his brother walked in Hand and Hand with Y/n. His best friend.

On Valentines Day.

He was frozen when the two walked by, Y/n just giving him a wave and a smile while his brother gave a smirk.

"Lets go to my room until you'd like to go, I want to know more about you."

"Of course! I want to know more about you too!"

"W-wait!" Genji managed to get out, going up to catch up with them.

"Are you guys a thing now?" He asked, and the two of them looked at each other, then looked at him.

Hanzo chuckled looking at his younger brother, "maybe, we are just seeing where this goes. Y/n is a wonderful girl."

Genji rolled his eyes, "Mhm. Well I hope you know Y/n is MY best friend! So you better not hurt her."

"Genji!"

Hanzo laughs at his brother, "oh I won't brother dear..after all." He steps towards his brother with that same annoying smirk.

"You already did that for me..."

Genji's eyes widened as Hanzo pulls Y/n away continuing his conversation with her.

Leaving Genji to think about how he had lost his best friend to his brother, and how it was all his fault.

And how he couldn't allow this to happen.

hi everyone ♡ a little about where i've been and why i'm not posting....

so... it's no secret that i fell off the face of the earth when it comes to writing, and for that i just want to apologize. i know a lot of you have been waiting for the next chapter of tnt, further aurora updates, or just looking forward to some smutty kinktober one-shots...... but to be completely honest i haven't written in a little while.

i've been trying to but i keep coming up short, and i've been avoiding this blog ever since because i just feel bad for not being able to give you guys the stories you're waiting for. for that reason, i essentially took a creative break and decided not to respond to any messages about writing. i know that kind of sucks, but i know myself and i didn't want to promise "soon" when i knew that wasn't true.

i'm starting slowly to work on things again, and i really hope i'll be able to share some of that work with you soon, but genuinely i just needed space from working on fic and to be honest..... from the fandom. i love being an atiny, but there was a swell of negativity on twitter for a while and i've been feeling a little uninspired with the past year of content and endless touring and it all combined into me putting things off.

i'm also................................ much more of a multi now.... which i really never thought would happen but here we are. i have no idea if i'll actually start writing for any of those groups, but if i do, i hope some of you also enjoy those groups and you stick with me. a little blurb about my new biases and the groups i'm now following, etc. is at the bottom of this post.

as far as what's going on with my ateez work? here's a quick recap:

this night together: still in progress, i have ~4 chapters finished, but chap ten and some of the time skips have me a little stuck. once i iron that out and finish out the last 2-3 chapters after the arc that's written, i'll get back to posting. at this point i'd like to have it done so i can release it confidently and as a complete story. into the aurora: i have about half of book one edited, which will include some new scenes / cleaned up scenes, but nothing crazy. i'd like to start updating old chapters once everything is finalized. book two is.... slow going. i'm hoping a breath of fresh air will help, but it's still my goal to come back to these characters. one-shots: i have about 4-5 ateez one-shots that are half written. my plan is to finish these and release them as inspiration strikes to wrap them up.

thank you all for your patience, and all of your kind messages. so many people have checked in on me both anon and not, and even if i haven't responded it's meant so much as i work on coming back to writing. i may not be able to respond to all the messages since so many of them are in my inbox, but slowly i may chip away at them

Reunited At Last It's D-Day Is This, Like, a Date? What Happened?

The last one: what have they been putting off forever, even though it would take ten minutes?

Me: writing this fic.... just kidding it took longer than ten minutes 😅

The little infirmary bed in Ted Kord’s secret hidden basement was as enclosed and cluttered as everything else Kard had hidden away in his mansion. It reminded Jaime of a bunk bed an elementary school friend had, only much more solid. Thanks to the scarab, Jaime could see every scratch and dent and read every dusty, scribbled note, even if he couldn’t understand exactly what they meant. He was covered in sensors which connected to monitors which recorded data from him and Khaji and, if he didn’t focus on the fact that he could move his arms and legs, Jaime would be right back in Victoria’s lab.

He took a deep breath in, ignored the squirming feeling in his mouth and how many new teeth he had and the clenching of legs against his spine and all the weird aches that had accumulated over the past couple of weeks–almost as bad as the days after all this stuff had started when Khaji was– and exhaled.

This couldn’t keep happening. Jaime couldn’t keep putting off asking Khaji what was happening to him. The Scarab would tell him, he knew that like he knew his name. Hell, Jaime wasn’t even sure he knew why he kept putting it off. 

Or at least, he didn’t want to think about why he kept putting it off.

“Khaji Da.” He tried to say its full name with authority, like his mother did to him and Milla when she’d caught them in something. Hopefully the scarab would pick up the context.

Yes, Jaime? Khaji’s voice in his head was smooth like it wasn't aware of his churning thoughts. 

“What–” his voice broke for a moment as something happened in his throat. It wasn't on purpose,  just another inconvenient part of whatever was happening Jaime hoped. He coughed and cleared his throat. “What’s happening to me, Khaji?”

Optimization of the host body. 

“You've said that before.” Jaime’s tone was flat. Disappointed. “But I need to know. What's happening? Is something wrong? Are you doing this? Why?”

Was Khaji telling him the whole truth? Would it?

My programming was damaged in transit.

“What?”

I am one of many scarab units created by the Reach to discover, infiltrate, and exploit alien worlds.

Khaji was telling the truth. Jaime knew it in the same instinctive way he knew  how to speak to Khaji, how to move in the armor, how to breathe. He wasn’t surprised, even though he should have been, as Khaji recited the facts of its creation.

The goals of the Reach are incompatible with your goals. The damage done to my programming and the repairs I made based off of your neurology allow me to disobey, but I am still vulnerable to root commands.

At the top of Jaime’s spine, Khaji clutched its legs around his vertebra and his hand twitched in a sympathetic mirroring grasp he had no input in.

I do not wish to cause fear, but if I am forced to shut down I do not want you to be vulnerable. 

Jaime remembered how Khaji’s inert shell had felt around him in Victoria's secret base. How it had been cold. How it had felt like his skin was pulling away from his carapace. He wasn’t sure which one of them had pulled up that memory from the depths where he'd buried it.

“Okay. I get it.” Because how could he not? Jaime had lived through that just as much as Khaji had. “I get it.”

He sighed. Clenched his eyes shut. Tried to reconcile the part of him that accepted everything Khaji said implicitly with the part that should have been afraid. The part that didn’t seem to exist. Jaime was upset. But only because he somehow wasn’t surprised. He was angry. But only because he wasn’t told what was going on.

Jaime opened his eyes and looked at the equipment in the infirmary, backlit by standby lighting. Jenny had done basic testing before telling him to try to settle down, to stay until she figured out what was happening. He missed his family suddenly. Wanted them here, even if they’d be loud and annoying. He wanted to be unaware. Distracted.

He couldn’t.

“Why doesn’t this bother me, Khaji?”

Khaji didn’t answer at first, compiling data, formatting it so he’d understand. Jaime knew what it was doing in the same way he knew everything else. When Khaji finally responded, it wasn’t with words.

It was simple. A Scarab and its host were a single unit. Anything one knew, so did the other. Even if Jaime wasn’t aware of what was happening; he knew. It was like proprioception but for information. If Jaime wanted to know something, then he just needed to look.

He didn’t want to look. Not now at least.

Pairing: Captain Rex x Jedi! Reader

Genre: Angst (i’m sorry)

Warnings: there’s a bit of a makeout scene in the beginning, the rest I can’t give away without spoiling the story so be warned

A/N: It really was supposed to be fluffy at first but... it was too tempting. I based the Title off a KARD song. Also if the consensus demands it I’ll write the part two I’ve been planning for this. Feedback is really appreciated for this! I worked hard on it and I’m actually quite proud of it!

Summary: What happens when the reality of your secret relationship comes crashing in, and the fear peaks out from amongst the rubble.

AKA You push him away and he tries to pull you back in.

You could taste the desire littered across his tongue as you both consumed each other. His hands grabbed at the nape of your neck desperate to pull you closer to him than what was physically possible. You were clinging on to each breath as your mouths moved as one, refusing to let the other go. He was your safety net, the one thing you felt too selfish to ever let go of, even if it meant taking him down with you. Not that the galaxy would ever let you two find peace. It was tumultuous and violent, and there was no escape, not for any single inhabitant. But for the two of you, there was no hope. Your little secret was doomed to explode from the start. 

He was a soldier and you a Jedi. There were countless things wrong with whatever this was, yet you could never seem to get enough, until now. If attachment and love were forbidden, then how was it so easy to fall into this in the first place? Especially when the man in front of you looked to be carved by the stars himself. Was this supposed to be what temptation was like? Painful and gut-wrenching but deliciously so. And how were you supposed to let him go?

“Mesh’la,” he breathes out. Effortlessly, like everything else he does. “I think I lost you back there. I only noticed because it’s kind of hard to make out with a durasteel wall.” You chuckled, looking into the warm irises of the man you’ve grown to love. It broke you, seeing that look of pure adoration in his eyes because you knew that in a matter of time, all you would see is misery within them. You tried to keep every bit of fear you had inside, instead choosing to relish in the unbridled happiness Rex brought you, but there is only so much a person can take before the dam breaks, and it finally did. A lone tear sinks down your cheek accompanied by a sniffle, the only signs you’re willing to let peak through, but it’s plenty enough to worry your beloved Captain. His calloused hands moved to hold your face and wipe the evidence of your turmoil.

“Cyare, talk to me. What’s going on inside that pretty little head of yours?” He moved to press a chaste kiss to your temple, and you couldn’t hold it in anymore. A cascade of sobs echoed across your quarters accompanied by soft hushes and words of encouragement, as he held you tight to his chest, rubbing circles into your hip bone.

“I’m sorry,” was all you could muster out in between your sobs, trying desperately to regulate your breathing.

“For what?” He asked, his gaze continuing to bore holes in yours, the concern ebbing off him in waves.

“For loving you,” you choke out. You were sure he wasn’t able to make any of it out between heaving, sobs, and snot-filled sniffles. But judging by the silence and lack of movement in the room, he was a bit shocked by your confession.

The silence that passed was agony as you watched those gears turn in his head as he was trying to make sense of it all. You watched as the facade of this hardened man started to crack and crumble above you. He was slowly starting to understand the connotation of your words and where this conversation was headed.

“Why?” He asked finally letting out that agonizing breath you had assumed he had been holding in.

“I just-” You took a breath, it coming out far shakier than you would’ve liked, “I can’t do this to you. Not anymore. I have been incredibly selfish with your feelings, knowing of the consequences that are destined for us. You deserve so much more than that.”

He was still frozen in his place, so you just decided to continue. “I’m sorry Rex. There’s not much hope for either of us with the lives we have led. I love you.” You stared at the stars countless nights, wondering, dreaming of this moment. The moment you finally put it all on the line and told him you loved him. But the last option to ever grace your thoughts was that you told him while you were doing this. You expected the moment to be filled with kisses and warm hugs and the only feeling that could be felt was love. Not this. “But that’s not enough. That will never be enough when this, us, is bound to break and shatter in all the worst ways possible.”

“And how is that guaranteed in your eyes? With the way you are talking, it sounds like we have no choice but to surrender to it. To run away and cower in fear. But how do we know for sure things are going to blow up in our faces? Shouldn’t we be allowed to be happy?” You were angry. Not at him, but at all this destruction, death, and violence that promises no reprieve, and yet he still chooses to hold on to the hope that one day it will. That one day this war will be over. When you know that there’s no way the galaxy could ever find peace.

“Because Rex” You screamed, your heart pouring itself out through your voice. “You are a Captain in the Grand Army of the Republic and I am a Knight of the Jedi Order. Someone catches one whiff of us and you’re court-martialed and I’m removed from the order. I could possibly live with that, but the punishment for you is not something I could live with. Rex, they would kill you.” 

“You don’t know that,” he sighed.

“But I do, which is why I know we can’t do this anymore. Not with a cost this high,” you let out one last shaky sigh before you moved to the door. Finalizing your decision in ending your happiness and going back to the shell you once were, by command of the Jedi.

“You can’t leave,” he gritted out through barred teeth, “You made me a promise when you first came to our command. That we are a team.” He shot up from his position on shaky legs, all of his emotions evident in his stance, “And that we get through things together. You can’t make this decision on your own. You promised.” It was hard to catch that last bit, it was barely a whisper. 

“This is the only decision to make, can’t you see Rex? We have no other choice.” You saw it. For the first time ever, your hardened but warm and loving Captain finally broke. Relinquishing the control he’s tried desperately to cling to since his inception, a tear falls down his cheeks. Something you’ve never seen before and it breaks your heart even more.

“What I see is you being selfish!” Those words hit you like a gut punch because he was right. You were being selfish. But it was all you could do to keep the one thing that makes you feel human, safe. You were taught nearly your whole life to avoid emotions and attachments, and because of it you nearly functioned like a droid. Your only focus was to do what they told you to. Then Rex came along and gave you a reason to fight, to feel, to exist. And the idea of losing him in this endless battle of torment was something you couldn’t stomach.

“I’m not a droid, Cyare. I make my own decisions, you can’t make them for me.” He was yelling now, even though his volume wasn’t ridiculously loud, avoiding unnecessary attention. It was still his choice of words and how he said them that made your knees buckle. There was an overwhelming feeling to fall to the ground and melt but you needed to be strong and get out of this, for both your sakes.

“I have never once compared you to that of a droid. You are fully capable, but I can’t play games with your life, Rex. You are the most important thing in my life.” You let out a sob, one of many since this debacle began, but one that fully conveyed just what you were feeling at that moment.

“Please, just stay. We can talk this through, what you’re feeling. We don’t have to leave it like this.” He put your face in his hands again, kissing you while he still shook in fear. One that was a silent beg, to not let go. 

“I’m sorry,” you whispered, tears falling down your cheeks, “I don’t know how.” You opened the door knowing that once you take this step there was no coming back, and took one last look at the man who meant everything to you.

“Please,” he cried. And with that, you left. Abandoning the only bit of freedom you ever had.
