Polyamships is hosting #MultiamoryMarch2025

Multiamory March is a month-long event held each year, starting on March 1st and ending on March 31st, with a prompt for each day.

🎉🎉2025 marks the 5th year since #MultiamoryMarch came to our blog 🎉🎉

Once again we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration you can think of. In the spirit of this month, we invite you to create works in any medium using the prompts above if you need a little inspiration.

This year we have an additional 10 alt visual prompts for you to choose! Check out the links under the cut.

Remember our prompts are there to inspire you, not restrict you. You can also create freely or even use one of our prompts from past years we’d still love to see fanworks for if they inspire you better. If you use a prompt, please make sure to let us know which prompt you’re creating for somewhere on your post.

At us @polyamships and use the tags #MultiamoryMarch and #MultiamoryMarch2025 in the first five tags so we can hopefully see it. If you don’t see us reblog your post within a few days feel free to send us an ask to let us know, or submit it via the submit link here in case we’ve missed your post or the tags/notifications are being weird.

All ratings are welcome but anything nsfw/triggery should be warned for and behind a read more, as should very long tumblr fic.

Multiamory March 2024

Prompt 1 - Kiss

A silly little doodle of my OT3 in The Gifted.

So, like. This book takes place in the future, right? Around 100 years give or take. One of my favorite things is that at one point, the OT3 is walking around these ruins, and one of them, Othello, finds a working instant camera. He's kinda emotional about it for reasons I cannot disclose lol, but the point is it reminds him of home and he LOVES taking pictures of Everything™️. Especially those two, Lyvrea and Isador, but Isa is always a little annoyed about it because he thinks Othello is trying to make fun of him by taking an unflattering picture and doesn't really get that Othello is actually trying to flirt lmao. Anyway, the camera stays with them long enough that Othello starts a little collection and then gets all cranky (romantic) when he realizes he mostly just took pictures of those two haha what a simp

As some of you may know, this month will be happening the fanfiction event Multiamory March (hosted by @polyamships), which is similar to Femslash February - but instead of fanfics centered on femslash ships, it's fanfics centered on polyamorous ships. So just like I did last month with Femslash February, I'll be taking prompts through all this month for Multiamory March and posting them in my account on AO3 iammyownsaviour (ant1hero). Here's the list of all the fandoms and ships I want to write on march, you can send me an anonymous or non anonymous inbox with your prompts which can be more than one (I'd actually love if people send multiple prompts 'cause it helps a lot) and you can even say in the inbox, in case you have an AO3 account, if you want me to gift the fanfic to you!

*I'll accept prompts from any prompt list you find, you can even create them if you want. I have a preference for AU's, Tropes and Taylor Swift lyrics but any kind of prompts is fine!

This blog is an attempt to collate and collect all the monthly writing challenges posted here on tumblr - it is not an attempt to take credit for any of these challenges! Please follow the actual blogs of the challenges you're interested in participating in and check out their individual prompt challenge rules!!

Phase two: voting. During the voting stage, you will choose your favorite prompts. The top 31 most voted prompts will become the official prompts for next years’ event. Since we received a limited number of visual prompts, we have decided that they will all be accepted as alt prompts.

Multiamory March 2024, Day 16 Prompt- Fiction @polyamships

Rose leaned back in the chair, blanket spread over her lap and tea in hand as Jack leaned against one of her legs. River and the Doctor sat next to them on the loveseat.

Rose is the one who speaks first, "I mean.. I knew there were stories and legends of the Doctor, I suppose it never clicked that eventually there would about the rest of us as well."

"It was only a matter of time sweetheart. You two," River pointed at Rose and Jack, "Have been with him for centuries. Of course there would eventually be stories and myths surrounding you. And I already knew there was stuff about me. It's... it was inevitable really."

Jack rolled his eyes, "I knew there was stuff on the Doctor and I remember reading about the Bad Wolf when I was younger. Never saw anything 'bout myself though."

The Doctor rolled his eyes, "The universe has a way of keeping your future hidden if need be."

"Yeah, yeah Doc."

Rose laughed, she couldn't help it. This conversation was sheer absurdity, here they were, sat talking about the fact that there were myths and legends and in her case, religions dedicated to them. Bloody hell if her younger self could see her now...

She could feel River poking at her barriers and let them down so that she could see what was going on in Rose's mind. She joined in on the laughter while the other two stared at them a bit helplessly.

Eventually Rose managed to calm down enough to get proper sentences out, "Sorry, sorry. Just... thinking 'bout how absurd this is, we're sat here having a chat 'bout the fact that there are literal myths and legends and what-not based on us. Its completely mental!"

Jack snorted, "Fair 'nough Rosie."

The Doctor let a smile slip through, "it is quite funny in retrospect. How could I have known that two of my companions would become immortal and have myths based on them, or that I'd marry them?"

The four laughed, unaware that perhaps one day they'd find out something even more interesting.

My first fic for @polyamships' Multiamory March

Summary: Akihiko wasn't used to be so visible lost, but it was hard to let go of the role he'd taken for his job for years and the admiration he had for Napoleon for years, to focus on the fact the ex-emperor was now his boyfriend and take the first step on their relationship.

There are characters I get the hang of writing them from the start, sometimes without even reading much about them. Sebastian is one of the hit or miss ones, though, I still need to get used writing him... Especially in something like this.

Also that time I thought of writing an angsty alternative to a fic I was writing... I think this would be the happy ending.

Having Napoleon as his boyfriend was like a fantasy. His admiration for the ex-emperor had turned into a crush after they met. But it was like a celebrity crush, an attraction to someone unattainable. Besides, he noticed quickly, his heart still belonged to someone else. His ex-girlfriend, who fell back into his life after years, only to fall in love with Napoleon herself.

And now he was here, with both of them, who fought hard for him. The ones who changed his world. He never thought he would be committing himself to a relationship, let alone to two people, the old lover he thought he lost and his longtime hero.

Even if he was expecting the kiss, even after all the discussions about this relationship, and all the progress they made, the fact that Napoleon was purposefully kissing him was enough to make him freeze, his mind unable to process the overwhelming amount of thoughts and emotions rushing through.

Napoleon broke the contact with a playful smile, but despite catching the movement, Sebastian took longer to realize the kiss had ended. Hard to when the warmth lingered on his lips and his mind was still lost in the ecstasy of it.

“Why do you look so surprised?” Napoleon laughed.

It really wasn’t the first time Napoleon kissed him, in fact, he had accidentally kissed nearly everyone in the mansion, but he did so while asleep. It was the first time the kiss had been on purpose. The first time there were actual feelings behind it.

“I think you crashed him.” He barely registered her words before she was standing before him. “Will this reboot you?” And she looped her arms around his neck and kissed him. “I know our boyfriend is strikingly hot, but you’ll just have to get used to it.” She whispered in his ear.

She was right. The idea of someone like Napoleon liking him was shocking, but it was real, and he would have to get used to it.

Easier said than done. And his response was to kiss her back, surprising her.

“Like you got used to me?” He whispered when she blushed and looked away.

“This is different. You caught me by surprise.” She kissed him again, then pulled away and turned to Napoleon, giving him a gentle peck. “I’ll let you boys to get better acquitted.” She left the room with a playful wink at them.

There was silence after their girlfriend was gone. With Napoleon curiously studying him, Akihiko took a deep breath, trying to regain control of his emotions.

She was right. He had to get used to direct attention from Napoleon. Get more comfortable with his boyfriend.

Just because he felt like a young girl who finally got attention from her crush, didn’t mean he had to act like one.

“Do I intimidate you that much?” Napoleon asked, still sounding playful.

“No, Monsieur. I…”

Napoleon kissed him.

“As much as I wouldn’t mind being called that in other circumstances, this is not like you. I am your partner now, too. You can treat me like you do her.”

The same as he did their girlfriend? He was sure that was not how a multi relationship like this worked, but it helped him focus on the man before him less as The Napoleon Bonaparte and more as his boyfriend.

Before he could lose himself to that wonder again, Akihiko bridged the gap between them, threading his fingers through Napoleon’s silky locks, surprised at how his boyfriend stayed so docile under his touch, and remained so when pulled into a new kiss.

And their first step into this new life tasted faintly of strawberries and cinnamon, from the desserts they had made earlier.

Roy is getting fed up with Keeley and Jamie spamming their group chat with gifs and calls them out on it. Jamie, upon hearing Roy pronounce it wrong, has to say something.

This was originally for Multiamory March but I lost all gumption and only finished like three of thirty prompts so here’s one! It’s cute, it’s funny, and gif is pronounced “G-if” NOT “J-if” thank you for coming to my tedtalk the creator of the word is wrong <3 have fun!

�� Are there any new ships you want to write for? (Platonic, romantic, or anything in between.)

None that spring to mind, though I do have a vague idea for a Kara/Nia/Brainy fill for one of the Multiamory March prompts, which is a ship I have written, but only once, not for a while, and not as the whole fic's main focus, so that's sort of new.

🦄 Is there a new POV you'd like to try writing?

I've got a note jotted down for a possible Cisco/Kamilla fic and I'm not sure I've written anything with Kamilla as the main PoV character before

🫘 Spill the beans. What's a new project you're doing this year?

I may have written an opening for this AU. Yes that was supposed to be just an edit with an idea. Yes I should have seen this coming since I also got carried away a little while making that and AUs always get away from me. I do currently only have an opening, this might not go anywhere, but Iris and Caitlin falling in love while ruining all Zoom's plans seemed like it might be fun to write, and I already have a few ideas for some extra little twists on canon (I am stealing from comics for tv show fic again)
