This adorable boy was the main inspiration for all of Max Kane's antics in 'Lead Me Down To The Ocean' - literally no imagination was needed when I was coming up with shenanigans for Maxie to get involved in during his time on Islay 😂 For instance, Sam has a habit of running into rivers/lochs/muddy puddles despite hating baths. He also has a propensity to start fights with other dogs who are much larger than him (Sam's main rival is a 6-year-old Labrador called Archie)...

I could talk at length about so many details in that fic seeing as it depicts one of my favourite places on Earth, but Max's scenes were easily the most fun to write (partly because it gave me an excuse to rewatch videos of Sam being silly) 🥰

Ford wasn't always interested in mythology, it wasn't worth his time. Nor, did he believe in it. Until he moved to Gravity Falls.

The town was full of strange things, things he didn't even think would exist. He went from hotel to hotel as he figured out if he would stay in the town.

One day while he was exploring, he came along a cave with devotional art and offerings to a God, one they called Bill Cipher.

He looked along at the art, finding weird inscriptions. He decided to write them down, right before he left. He looked up at the art, looking at the God. He looked astonishing.

Once he got back to his current hotel, he decided to say the incantation, just for shits and giggles!

He didn't expect it to actually work.

The God explained what it was all about, claiming he was all knowing. He said that he chose Ford to be his worshipper, Ford was hooked.

He found the perfect spot and started to build his home, convinced to stay in Gravity Falls. He made his home a sign of worship for Bill after finding out he loved triangles.

He still reached out to Stan, he wanted to show him the wonders of Bill. Bro thought he was crazy, but he decided to stay, making a goal to slowly rekindle his relationship with Ford.
