Posting these two side by side because I like their contrasts. Might make a Madara one someday 😌

I wonder if the names Hashirama (pillar). Tobirama (door), Kawarama (space between two roof tiles), and Itama (spaces between two slats on a duckboard) are supposed to be some kind of play on words because of the Senjus’ Wood Release. However, I read that it was originally supposed to be a difficult jutsu, not a Kekkei Genkai and it was changed later. Itama is probably referring to the warring period they grew up in since it refers to duckboards specifically. But I think it’s interesting that all of them have to do with building/construction. Even though Hashirama is the “pillar” and represents the beginning of Konoha, his brothers are also “building blocks”. Tobirama is obviously the Second Hokage, but Kawarama and Itama also had a profound effect on Hashirama and his vision for Konoha.

I like Tobirama wearing his armor because of the fur but I LOVE Tobirama’s Hokage outfit(?), uniform(?). idk but I love it. He’s so fine and so fitting with the Hokage clothes. He’s like an old fine man (and this probably makes sense because he’s around 39+ when he became the Hokage)

Hashirama and Tobirama Senju Headcanons

- Tobi has had chapped lips since he was a kid and it is beyond his power, it’s kinda hot tho

- Hashi has genetic dark circles, also looks hot

- Tobi has a habit of pacing. He paces so much, he has different types of pacing. Hashi thinks he is working late but often times, he will wait for everyone to leave the room, turn the light off, and just wander around and sulk late into the night

- If Tobi happened to fall asleep in an unfavorable place, which he does sometimes due to his neglect, Hashi would come and put his arm around him and nap for a short time as well in order to share his suffering

- Hashi has thick hair, it’s heavy and takes a long time to wash. Tobi is always asking why he doesn’t cut it and even offers to cut it for him. Maybe someday Hashi will let him

- When they were very young, they and their brothers were not allowed to go outside if it was not for training or accompanying their father. Tobi still retains the habit of not leaving the house if it’s not necessary. Hashi will ask him why he doesn’t just go for walk when he’s stressed and Tobi wonders the same thing

- Every so often, Tobi will stop and think about Kawarama and Itama. Hashi can tell immediately and just silently hugs him from behind

- When Hashi was young, he felt like the way he walked was strange so he stopped swinging his arms. He never broke the habit so he walks around with his arms still. It’s a little weird but Tobi thinks it’s kind of cute and funny when he’s just walking around aimlessly. He might even imitate him a little

- When they were kids, Hashi would often ask to sleep with one of the others. He still does it sometimes when he’s in working late in the office and misses Tobi

- Sometimes, he feels that way during the day and just goes up to Tobi and hugs him for his own comfort, he might pinch his cheeks or bite him or smth. Anything to be close to him

- Hashi usually keeps his thoughts regarding his childhood to himself. But occasionally, when he’s feeling particularly fatigued, he will bring up some memories with Tobi before he goes to bed. Sometimes it’s positive, like eating with their brothers after they trained really hard one day. Sometimes it’s negative, like when he was berated by Butsuma for an honest mistake. Tobi always listens and has never disagreed with anything he said.

- As distant as Tobi seems, he loves Hashi a lot. He makes fun of him when he messes up when he’s talking or for falling over or just for looking dumb when he’s thinking

- No one is as taciturn as Tobi so it’s up to Hashi to decipher what he’s thinking. Most of the time at work and such, he’s a mystery. But sometimes, as per the innate emotion of the Senju, his feelings shine through when he is in distress or lonely. Hashi, being the big brother he is, tries to comfort him with hugs, hot food, and naps.

- Hashi likes to steal Tobi’s clothes and say he looks better in them anyway. “What r u wearin” “ 🙂🙂🙂”
