Warning For Second Generation: Potential Incoming Outreach to “Inactive” “Blessed Children”

Demian Dunkley was appointed the end of May when church held an inauguration in the New Yorker the end of May. Dunkley was president of UC about three years ago then Mrs Moon sent him to what the church refers to as Asia 1 (India, Thailand…). He was also pastor of Las Vegas church during In Jin’s Lovin’ Life time.

You can’t deny Demian has a charismatic guy. He has this blind faith and unbiased devotion to Mrs Moon. He also has relationship and respect of many second generation and members. He has the exceptions of not only Mrs Moon but membership that his leadership will bring a new wave to the dying church. In his speech he referred many times that the UC will now be referenced as -The Witnessing Church.

Dunkley was leader of Vegas church under Lovin’ Life under In jin during which LL was able to organize the second generation and unite them under ball room dancing, sports festivals, mega church, rock bands, etc. She created a vibe for the church with hopes to witness to younger people. I get the feeling that Dunkley will use some of these tactics for the new witnessing push.

During the inauguration speech he introduced 6 of twelve “sisters” that will be witnessing leaders. To seal the deal each woman received a special sweater from Mrs. Moon’s own wardrobe. These “sisters” were all second gen.

It seems like every three years the church dusts off its witnessing campaign and part of their plan of action is to target inactive and ex members to bring them back. So-second gen. be warned— if a church friend calls you to invite you to picnic, dinner, sports festival or whatever. It’s not because they want to talk, spend time with you but more like they have a quota to reach.

i don't follow dungeon Meshi discussions closely and also haven't seen much in depth analysis of the marginalization of halflings specifically but I feel like the Infantilization aspect is focused on without acknowledging the ways they are often also Dehumanized (little weird considering the usage of "human" in the context of the story but I think it fits well enough). Like they are considered unskilled and immature due to their appearance + shorter relative lifespans, but also they are considered shady, used as literal bait (for sirens and succubi), and fucking disappeared when they come into contact with dangerous artifacts. Like both are significantly negative, but one is a bit more Obviously Violent in a way that I feel like is under discussed.

looks up. i regret to inform you all that i’ve seen another post today. the faunus woman who led vacuo during the great war was not a queen and almost certainly not of royal descent as the asturias family claims to be: it is stated repeatedly in the CFVY novels that the last time vacuo had any kings or queens was centuries ago and that very little of the historical record has been preserved (with 9.11 reiterating the novels’ point that this is a consequence of colonial occupation in the intervening centuries).

and from the world of remnant episodes pertaining to vacuo and the great war, we know that modern-day vacuo did not have a formal government until after the great war; it was not a state, it was an occupied territory under mistrali control. the faunus woman who led vacuo’s forces was the leader of the vacuan movement for independent statehood and likely became a member of the ruling council established after the war—which is now defunct and has been de facto replaced by shade academy.

please. BLEASE. the great war began about ninety years ago it has not even been a century. the vacuan monarchy is “ancient history.” finn talks about his mother—who would have been a contemporary of nicholas schnee, who was born right after the great war—and her mother, who would have lived through the great war, and his grandmother’s father, and his grandmother’s grandfather, and his grandmother’s grandfather’s mother. rumpole—who is an actual historian—flat out states that it was so long ago, and war and colonization so thoroughly degraded the historical record, that all that remains is legends and uncertain guesswork.

the asturiases having no blood relation to the faunus woman who led vacuo in the great war doesn’t prove or disprove anything because even if she did style herself a queen and claim royal descent the vacuan monarchy ended so long ago that her claim would have been unverifiable mythmaking too.

buddy this is super broad. you bet your ass i do, but it's difficult to just spit one out without something to like. elaborate on

though i can say that i do think about his species a lot? i don't see them as true cookies, they just use that terminology around astronaut for convenience. They're more like candy that anything, since they live much longer, and are a lot more resilient than cookies [plus, them being cookies never made sense to me. space cookies in general are odd]

Each of them carries a little fragment of the original star in their bodies, cementing them as part of Planet Xylitol, with Nova himself having an especially large concentration. Most can go their whole lives without noticing, but such a thing grants all sorts of stuff for Nova. he glows, has a greater drive for truth, advancement, and compassion, is generally more powerful, ETC. Plus the people naturally adore him because, like most fragments of things, they're subconsciously drawn together. Very social species. Nova just gets an odd end to this where most people are automatically inclined to trust him, but more as a local superhero than a person.

which unfortunately means most of his friendships are shallow. and he does get lonely. Astronaut Cookie was a godsend since she doesn't apply to the rules of his species, and wanted to get to know him for him- a genuine desire, rather than one out of instinct alone. had they been given more time on Planet Xylitol, they really would've been good friends

Obviously you can pick out a BUNCH of the dragons as that Is an ongoing trope (dragons aging differently than humans, so they can look younger than they "actually are") (also while I did try to avoid including them to make them more comparable to Nino, I think Flayn can fit in either category for the purposes of The Context -- esp cause her dragon blood is meant to be secret)

Not only do we have Heroes skewing younger (a lot fitting into another trope of What If There Was A Baby Sister) we also have Baby Banner. Where the whole point is they are baby.

LIKE....... maybe I'm speaking way too soon and maybe the whole point IS this will backfire LMFAO, but it IS absurd to be presented with her art (which, def still looks youthful!) and having her say yeah I can pass as a kidnapped child. Which COULD be true! But also what do you mean no one is going to know you're a part of the Heroes. Why is no one fighting her on this. Not even including the dragons there are like a handful of Heroes who fit into her exact vibe. Some even MORE baby than her.
