But yes, I agree-

It's why I'm happy that for a good chunk of my friend group, we agree that the line between platonic and romantic isn't very visible. Most romantic dates could be labeled as two friends hanging out. I feel a lot of us can agree that the biggest difference between romantic and platonic if the label of it.

Which is fine! Labels have power, they have valid meaning, they help us differentiate between one thing and another.

One could also say its a feeling that someone has- they just know its romantic/platonic instead of platonic/romantic. But depending on who you are or how you grew up, I think a good chunk of us don't really know the difference in feeling.

We can all have a favorite person. Or favorite people. People we always go to when we feel down or drained and know that person or people will make us feel at the very least content. As Seashellronan say, we all wanna be that person for someone, we crave to be wanted whether in a group or by one person. And I think that is a very great thing, one could even say lovely. ❤️

no offence but i think a lot of us me included don’t actually want romantic love as badly as we think and really are just lonely and crave a closeness and intimacy that feels out of reach in friendships because of society’s emphasis on marriage and the nuclear family so we project that into the never ending search for a perfect love and a soulmate when really we all just want to mean something to someone
