“Woah, woah! Slow your roll, fish patrol.”

“There’s no time, Baba! We have to go the ‘quarium!” It was almost unreal how quickly you were moving while simultaneously not getting any closer to the front door. You were running out to the car when Bucky stopped you with a grip on the back of your jacket. That didn’t stop you from jogging midair, though.

“Ah-quarium.” He plopped you onto the small bench in the entryway. “And I’m pretty sure there’s enough time for you to at least put on some shoes before we leave the house.”

Bucky kneeled in front of you so he could help you get on a pair of sneakers. He made sure to double knot the laces, knowing that you would have no patience for getting your shoes retied today.

“Dada! Are you almost ready?!” you shouted down the hall.

Steve sped walked out of your room with a backpack of stuff. “Almost! There’s a lot to pack for a full day out of the house.”

You whined and tried stomping your feet, forgetting that Bucky was still putting on your shoes.

“Hey, no whining and no kicking Baba,” Steve reprimanded. “We’ll get there with plenty of time to spare, baby. The fish aren’t going to swim away.”

“They might,” Bucky teased.

“Nooooo!”

“Buck, c’mon.”

Bucky grinned mischievously and gave you ticklish kisses on your face before helping you off the bench. “I’m only kidding, angel. Let’s get you in the car and buckled up while we wait for Dada.”

After what felt like a million hours, you were finally at the aquarium. Your daddies went over some safety rules while you were still in the car and once you showed that you understood, it was go time.

There were so many exhibits to discover. The tanks seemed to go on forever, all with different species of fish, snails, crabs, turtles, and other animals that you’d never seen before.

The aquarium offered something for the whole family. Still a science nerd, Bucky enjoyed reading the information cards placed by the tanks. Some of the animals and their habits reminded him so much of the aliens he read about in his sci fi novels. Steve was keeping a mental note of the animals he wanted to draw for you later. He even took pictures of a few to serve as a reference. Meanwhile, you practically had your nose pressed on the glass, just admiring the fish with an overwhelming sense of wonder.

When you saw something especially cool, you’d tug on the sleeve of your nearest daddy and point. You couldn’t just witness something so special and not share it. One of the best moments was when you pointed out a scuba diver in the large tank to your Dada. The diver noticed you and started a game of rock, paper, scissors through the glass.

One of the safety rules for the day was that you had to either wear a leash backpack or hold a daddy’s hand the whole time. In the beginning, you chose to hold hands, but then you switched to the backpack for more freedom(and because your daddies either walked too slowly or had no idea which tanks were ones to stop and stare at and which ones just needed a quick glance).

You could’ve stayed at the aquarium forever, but eventually it was time to go home. Steve and Bucky could tell you were getting sleepy. You got a little more clumsy, often getting tangled in your backpack leash, and asked them to hold you more often. Your daddies suspected that some of the requests to be carried had nothing to do with needing to see from a higher point, and much to do with your tired legs.

“This was the last tank, bubba. Now we’re going to the gift shop and then going home, okay?” Steve said.

You sighed. “Okay, Dada. Can I take a picture of the jellyfish first? Please?”

“Yes you can, baby. Good manners.” Steve held you still while you took a photo of the jellyfish tank with your camera.

As the three of you went to the gift shop, you asked Bucky to hold your camera so you could hold your hands behind Steve’s neck and place your head on his shoulder. He of course said yes. Your Baba also snapped a sneaky shot of Steve carrying sleepy little you using your camera.

You were practically already dozing off by the time you made it to the gift shop, but your daddies still went in and asked if you wanted anything to remember this trip by. You ended up leaving with a beluga whale plush, which you cuddled with the entire way home.

George leaned against his kitchen counter, his phone perched between his shoulder and ear. His girlfriend, Ella, was excitedly rattling off ideas for their first holiday together.

“...and then after the skydiving, we can do bungee jumping. There’s this insane one over a canyon in New Zealand—it’s, like, 400 feet! Oh, and we have to go white water rafting. I read about this river that’s supposedly cursed, but it’s just marketing. I think."

George blinked, his tea midway to his lips. "Wait, back up. Did you say skydiving and cursed?”

“Yeah! You’ve never done it, right? First time’s always the best, and—”

“Ella,” George interrupted, setting his mug down. "You’re a nutjob."

Her laugh crackled through the phone, bright and infectious. “You love it.”

He rubbed the back of his neck, a grin creeping onto his face. "I like it. Love is a stretch when you’re talking about throwing yourself out of planes or...what was it? A cursed river?"

“It’s not cursed,” Ella assured him. “But wouldn’t that be so cool? Just think of the stories we could tell!”

"Stories, yeah," George muttered. "If I survive to tell them."

Ella was a whirlwind. In the four months they’d been together, she had dragged him into situations he never would’ve considered on his own. Rock climbing, scuba diving, even something called zorbing, which involved being shoved into a giant inflatable ball and rolled downhill. To her credit, George had secretly enjoyed most of it—except the time he got stuck upside down in a harness during their climbing trip. He liked adventure but Ella was on the go all the time.

“I’ll make us an itinerary,” she continued. "We’ll fly into Auckland, spend a couple of days exploring, then head to Queenstown for the real action. Oh, and there’s this zipline that goes over a canyon—”

“Ella, Ella,” George interrupted, his voice rising slightly. "Babe, slow down. Can we maybe start with something a little...less death-defying?”

“Like what?”

“I don’t know. A beach day? Maybe some sightseeing? Wine tasting?”

“George Clarkeey, are you suggesting we sit on a beach sipping cocktails while I read some cheesy paperback?”

“I was going to say it could be a margarita, but yes.”

Her laugh was louder this time, and George couldn’t help but smile. He loved how fearless she was, how her energy seemed limitless. It balanced his more cautious, calculated nature. But sometimes, like now, he wondered if she ever stopped.

“Okay,” Ella relented. “We can do a beach day. But only one. After that, I’m dragging you out of your comfort zone.”

“I thought zorbing already did that.”

“That was just the warm-up.”

A week later, George stood at the departure gate, passport in hand, as Ella bounded toward him. Her auburn hair was pulled into a high ponytail, her backpack looking like it weighed as much as she did.

“Ready?” she asked, her hazel eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Define ‘ready,’” George joked, pulling her in for a quick hug.

Their flight was long but pleasant, filled with Ella outlining her meticulously planned itinerary. George half-listened, distracted by her enthusiasm. He admired her passion, even if it often left him wondering if he was about to meet an untimely end.

When they landed in New Zealand, their first day was exactly as George had hoped: relaxing. They wandered through Auckland’s harbor, tried fresh seafood, and even watched a street performer juggle flaming torches.

But the second day? That was Ella’s turn.

George found himself standing at the edge of a platform, staring down at a canyon that seemed impossibly deep. A harness was strapped tightly around his torso, and a bungee cord was attached to his back.

“This is insane,” he muttered.

Ella, standing next to him, grinned ear to ear. “You’ll thank me when it’s over.”

“I’ll thank you if I survive.”

The instructor counted down. Before George could fully process what was happening, Ella grabbed his hand and leaped, dragging him with her.

The fall was a blur of wind, adrenaline, and sheer terror. George’s scream mingled with Ella’s laughter as they bounced at the end of the cord, suspended above the canyon.

When they were finally pulled back up, George was breathless, his legs trembling.

“How was that?” Ella asked, her cheeks flushed with excitement.

He stared at her, his heart still racing. “You’re a nutjob.”

She smirked. “And?”

“…and I’m starting to think I might be, too.”

The rest of the trip was a whirlwind of adventure. George tackled the zipline Ella had mentioned, kayaked through crystal-clear waters, and even braved the infamous cursed river. By the time they reached their designated beach day, he was sore, sunburned, and utterly exhilarated.

As they lounged on the sand, margaritas in hand, George turned to Ella. “I’ll admit it—this trip has been...pretty incredible.”

“Told you,” she said, nudging him playfully.

“But next time, I’m picking the destination.”

Ella raised an eyebrow. “Oh? And where would that be?”

“Somewhere with fewer heights. And rivers. And…hazards.”

She laughed, leaning her head on his shoulder. “Deal. But only if you admit you secretly loved all of it.”

George smiled, taking a sip of his drink. “Fine. You win. But I’m still sticking with my original assessment.”

“Which is?”

This is what I've been doing in the last two weeks, joking with my friends about the implications in the lore about another universe, but mermaids.

AKA my desire for Klei to add a scuba team or another portal to investigate what is in the depths of the sea of The Constant.

The portal to the mermaid dimension changes them to become the type of marine fauna that suits or goes with them.

Wx has a propeller as a backpack to move faster and is connected to they core.

They must try to survive anyway and the madness attacks even harder depending on how deep they swim.

Below is a really weird place, with its own caves and monstrosities.

Webber is the same, but with the skin of a spider sea Strider. And also has an affinity with murder jellyfish.

Willow's favorite place are the lava ponds.

I really enjoyed War in the Pocket. There's something delightful about seeing this little mecha-nerd's joy slowly turn to horror as he witnesses mobile suit combat first-hand. I can't help reflecting a bit on myself - sitting here enjoying my gunpla and anime.

So, this week I've built a Hy-Gogg - one of the mobile suits we see attacking the base in the opening bit.

The original Gogg is a very silly-looking, but I love how the Hy-Gogg looks. It's weird and alien and menacing. It truly looks like some kind of deep-sea creature.

This is a very early HG kit - just #37 in the line - so I'm not expecting much out of it.

This clear, pink monoeye part looked fantastic prior to assembly. The light-piping was fantastic. It almost seemed to glow. But once I got the torso/chest area assembled it all-but vanished. There was no light to pipe, and it was so tiny... I couldn't see it at all.

So I too the opportunity to use my favorite metallic pink Gundam Marker again and this tiny little monoeye looks much better now.

The arms on this kit are fantastic. Long and gangly and weird.

The legs, however, are pretty disappointing. They're very stubby with poor articulation.

There's a sheet of foil stickers... But the vast majority of them aren't actually color-correcting - they're various markings for the kit. They work well enough, I guess, but they've got nothing on the modern sticker-style decals we might get in an Origin kit.

So... I don't love this kit.

First of all, that blue panel-liner was a bad choice. It really doesn't stand out as much as I thought it would. I guess it works, but I wanted something more contrast-y. I should've just used grey or even black.

Second, the joints are all terrible and posing this thing is just frustrating.

The arms don't bend the way I want them to and they're weirdly stiff. Parts are constantly separating. It feels like I'm going to break something if I'm not super-careful.

The legs have absolutely no strength or stability of any kind. I have to carefully balance and counter-balance everything... Or prop it up on its arms. It does not want to just stand upright.

Also - there's no attachment-point for a stand. At all. So this transformed/swimming mode just has to lie on its face. And there's a distinct lack to just how dramatically I can pose the thing - because, again, the legs are terrible.

There's definitely some neat gimmicks. I like the big canisters to conceal the arms. And the little SCUBA-y backpack. I just sincerely wish I could pose it better.

based on pepe's off the track ig stories he travels and takes a lot of aesthetic pics hence..... 🍯

whenever it's off season or summer break, you take a leave and travel around pepe to unwind yourselves. pepe with travelling as his second nature, plans out the itinerary, having a balance of relaxation and thrills that you might hate him for later on (a kiss would solved that anyways)

pepe is always the adventurous one when it comes to travelling, he'd never force you if you don't want to, but he highly encourages you to step out of your comfort zone to try out some of their cuisines, picking ones from the menu that he thinks suits your palate, or to go try activities like scuba diving or hiking to make your trip worth it.

but pepe doesn't always push you to your limits, he'd be down to anything that you want to do. he'd take your pictures, helping you pose and capturing you in your best angles, hyping you up while doing so since you tend to get shy especially when you are taking pictures in a crowded area.

he'd also be down to your pub hopping around the town. getting different drinks since you want to try all of them (even though you'd switch with pepe at the end since you always choose the hard drinks at first) and you'd talk about what's ahead of both of your careers, and as time goes by, gets into more serious ones like settling down together and starting out a family.

at the end of the day, you'd be so tired with the shenanigans pepe put you through that you'd be magnetized to the bed. pepe would helo you with your clothes and remove your makeup before the both of you ending up in a spooning position, reminding you how he's lucky to have a partner and travel buddy like you for a lifetime, and in the end, promising you that in every universe the both of you are in, he would travel the world just to find you again and again.

OMG OMG IT POPPED UP IN MY HEAD 🍯 MOREOVER pepe knows you're a fashionista at heart whenever you travel and he always tries to match up with your outfits, he even asks you beforehand what would you wear so he can pack up clothes that would pair with them. he also has things prepared in his backpack just it case the fashionista in you won't last a day: a bandaid for your blisters, a pair of sandals when your feet decides to give up, an extra hair tie when the wind is too much for your laid down hair to handle, and a cardigan if it gets too cold or something spilled on you. when you are almost at your hotel and your feet decided to kill themself, he won't hesitate to carry you bridal style to your bed.

is it a lot to carry all of those in his backpack, and even more when your weight is added when needed? definitely, but he thinks it is all worth it just to hear your sigh of relief when he brings it out of his backpack or when he's carrying you, pecking his cheeks, because you as well, is lucky to have a attentive travel buddy and partner like, and you promise as well to meet him halfway when he comes to find you in every universe.

gosh i think traveling with him would be so so cozy :(( he would definitely be up for planning and taking care of stuff, but also involving you a lot? but just making sure everything is as comfortable as possible for you because he knows how important it is for you to just relax during your break (bcs school/work is so exhausting & you deserve time to recover)

but yes, he definitely tries to push you out of your comfort zone, but little by little !!!! you mentioning cuisine made me tear up a little ngl because i'm super sensitive when it comes to food and just... this made me think of other traveling/food thoughts i have had about pepe... like the fact that if he orders new stuff for you from the menu, and you end up not liking it, he definitely offers to swap your meals and eats it for you (so you don't feel embarrassed about not finishing your food)... or if he tastes something new that he really thinks you would like, he will suggest that you have a little taste and if you don't like it then he'll just smile and think no more of it... anddddddd my #1 thought, he definitely orders for you if ordering food is something that bothers you (like it does to me) 🥺 especially in spain when you come with him, he has no issues placing all of your orders in one go in spanish, all while holding your hand on top of the table and secretly asking the waitress about stuff he knows about your food preferences (like, "are there a lot of carrots in this one or is that just on the side?" or "is the sauce very spicy?")

aaaaa pepe would lowkey act like he wasnt sure about the idea of matching outfits at first, but he grows very fond to the idea really quickly.... and soon it's him initiating it 🥺 and him being so prepared with his backpack is soooo true!!! some snacks for whenever you both need some energy, a little polaroid camera that he bought as a surprise just to get some extra memories from the trip, tons of water to make sure you don't get dehydrated.... and it all just comes so naturally to him that when you point it out one day he's just like "?? am i not supposed to do this? what else is my job??" :(( he doesn't mind it at all, because any opportunity to make you happy is a win for him <3

Roatan The Budget Killer

We timed our trip to this glorious albeit expensive Caribbean island to coincide with when Karen who we met on the Antarctica cruise would be there. Oh, did I mention that we went to Antarctica? Side Note: I made few modifications with ms paint because I couldn't find the right items that could fit my vision of MH characters Things that I changed: Added scales in Deuce's arms and his shirt, Holt's clothing Manny's tail and Invisibilly's drink

1. Deuce Gorgon (male version)

Its combination of G1 and G3 Deuce. I still like the idea that G1 Deuce is half human/ half gorgon but with more scales in his body.

I give him red sunglasses, purple jacket, red and black striped shirt, black belt with white skull, black and green pants, purple sneakers and purple side backpack

I decided not give him hoodie or beanie unless if weather or the classroom is too cold because is bad for snakes hair

2. Clawd Wolf

Is almost like his G1 version but I give him mohawk afro hair. Teal, black and some gold jacket, pants and shoes. white and black striped shirt with moon crescent necklace

I didn't forget add his tail :D

3. Jackson Jekyll / Holt Hyde

Now for Jackson I went to G1 version and I give them retro squared glasses, yellow and white checkered shirt, checkered tie and checkered black pants and blue shoes.

And I added school backpack with cute monsters keychains

As for Holt's design. I give him blue fiery hair to separate Heath's design. For his clothing I design punk style duality. With red, white and black jacket, purple shirt, black and orange punk pants and mismatched shoes

Also I give him school backpack too without Jackson's keychains, red and purple headphones and orange round glasses ( I don't think transforming a monster can fix their sight)

4. Gillington "Gil" Webber

As for Gil's fashion inspired by recent G3 design: I give him teal and white sweater, black tank, black and white fish belt, green pants with black tentacle design and black and white sneakers

I like he's able to stay in land without using scuba helmet filled with water. Stilll he needs stay hydrate 24/7.

5. Manny Taur

Now for Manny. I give him grey top tank with orange vest. Blue pants and combat boots

He looks tough but his total softie. I promise

6. Heath Burn

Its combination of G1 and G3 Heath. I give him fiery blue shirt and fiery black pants, blue open toes sandals and heat-resistant gloves (to prevent burning something or someone)

Oh I give him nice set earrings and hint of his demonic heritage ;)

7. Invisi Billy

Finally for Invisibilly. I give him blue beanie, dark teal jacket with purple details, blue t shirt with danger sign and dark blue pants and boots

I decided to give him dark sunglasses for 2 reasons:

One is nod to classical invisible monster (Griffin) wears dark googles.

Two: Headcanon: Invisibilly's eyes are sensible to sunlight
