once again thinking about that rape and murder anon i got months and months ago and how nobody really seemed to give a shit that somebody sent that to me. its making me really paranoid and distrustful. i even sent in a confession anon to a selfship confession blog about it and nobody even so much as liked the post when it came up. like, hello? you are fostering those kinds of people in our community? the least you can do is go "im sorry that happened i hope they fuck off" or something. like.. bystander effect is real i guess.
#self ship community#selfship community#absolutely insane to me how little support i got even from friends#the thing i posted that prompted the anon wasnt even that bad i was sharing my opinion as an elder otherkin/fictionkin#i dont even care abt my opinion anymore i care more about how people just.. scrolled past like it was another tuesday for them#that is a huge huge huge reason why i dont really reach out to engage with people anymore or try to make new friends

I dislike jegulus mostly bc of the annoying people and the misogyny so it’s funny when ppl get mad at me for it like ur proving my point but i also could not care less because at the end of the day they aren’t real and im too old for this wusjwiskwifkg like one day you’ll get it❤️
#also the person who asked me why I abused the tags..#I was talking abt jegulus so I tagged jegulus because i like being organised on my blog and tagging things#if u don’t like seeing jegulus discourse in the jegulus tags that’s not my problem#like unless someone is being a bad person in a post or actually hurting people it’s not that hard to scroll past an opinion abt a ship#a fictional ship of two men that didn’t even exist til a little while ago#coming from someone who’s been here for YEARS mind you#ni.txt

aww that sucks. i thought he was surprisingly decent the last time he talked about dream, but i guess you can't trust commentary youtubers
Yeah those were my thoughts as well, plus hes friends with tommy so i hoped hed been drolo influenced somewhat from him but alas. he was the last commentary youtuber i had left in my subscriptions R.I.P 🪦😔
#it just felt like he had vaguely negative opinions abt dream from scrolling on twitter and made a video just for the sake of being negative#like no research or objectivity or anything it was real bad. it was just out of context clips and tweets pasted to frame him as a freak#but whatever i dont wanna dwell on it the opinion of people with a twitter account dont matter 2 me#asks

thinking about that last post I reblogged remembering that when I was 12 and finally had a reliable computer in my home I would use my unmonitored internet time to argue with conservatives in the youtube comments of dear mr president by pink like I would intentionally seek out people commenting things like “abortion is killing babies” and I’d respond like “no it’s not, you’re dumb, I’m 12 and I know more than you” and then I’d be in comment threads arguing with these people for hours like my desire to be a hater and have fights was there so early
#so now every time I scroll past a bad opinion#I am fighting a deeply ingrained aspect of my nature#and sometimes I still lose and succumb to my worst tendencies!!#but mostly I stay strong#anyway this is a PSA don’t argue with strangers on the internet#tw abortion mention#tw anti abortion rhetoric#idk if that’s a tag but like perhaps it should be

Home is where Dad's car is
One of Lando's twins dramatically announces she's running away from home. This turns his afternoon into a Monaco rescue mission.
this is inspired by a comment from @ynbutbetter on the Blink Once story and me completely misreading it
warning: none, domestic, light-hearted stand alone part of Norris Family Polaroids
Jumping back into work again has been a relief and burden at the same time. The ten-year-old twins are relentless and Y/N, with all the help she had due to Lando's comfortable financial situation, wanted to be part of both motherhood and career as much as she could.
She's received a lot of strange emails in her life. This one is about to rule them all.
From: Olivia Norris To: Mom & Dad CC: (no one, because traitors exist)
Subject: I Am Leaving. Do Not Try to Stop Me.
Dear Mother and Father,
by the time you read this, I will be gone. Away forevr. Please do not be sad (I know this will be difficult).
I have thought long and hard about this decision—at least ten whole minutes—and I have realized that I can no longer stay. I love you both (most of the time but Dad you really made me sad this time) but I have to follow my own path now
Do not try to find me.
Tell Maya that she is now the oldest child. This is a great responsibility. I hope she is ready.
Stay strong in my absence. -Olivia
Speed dial - Lando - and then two times more, since the Husband of the Year can't seem to pick up his phone. A text pops up after Lando reclines the call.
We're streaming, is it urgent?
Y/N knows this automatic message all too damn well. No matter how many years him and Max F. managed to pile up, streaming video games time stayed like a sacred constant. It's great when the husband has a hobby. It's not so great when it ends up in him losing one of the kids in the meantime.
She texts him back. Headache. That's what being a mother of two kids and married to an overgrown child is on a typical Wednesday afternoon is.
//
Lando is having a great time. Snack in front of him, controller in hand, headset on—he's in his zone. He's been carrying Max Fewtrell through a game for the past hour, and despite his teammate's absolute lack of skill, it's been a solid session. A nice off season afternoon.
"Bro, you're literally throwing," Max groans through the headset as his in-game character spectacularly fails to complete a simple task.
Lando snickers, eyes glued to the screen. "Nah, mate, you're just bad. Hold on, I gotta—oh, for f—" His phone vibrates on the table, lighting up with Y/N’s name.
He glances at it, sees the call, and immediately ignores it. Another call. Decline.
Third time. Decline again.
He hits the automatic reply. Y/N's reply is instant. CHECK YOUR EMAIL NOW
Lando frowns. What could possibly be so urgent that it requires an email check? His brain cycles through possibilities:
-Y/N booked them another family trip he forgot about. -She ordered something expensive and wants to justify it. -The school sent one of those "Just letting you know" emails about how the twins "express themselves too boldly" (which, in Lando’s opinion, is code for being just like him).
Still, an email? Seems excessive. Whatever. He'll check it.
"Oi, Max, gimme a sec," Lando muttera and opens his inbox app. He scrolls past junk mail, a McLaren PR update, some random sponsorship inquiry—ah, there.
Subject: I Am Leaving. Do Not Try to Stop Me.
Lando snorts. Classic Olivia. Then he reads the first line.
By the time you read this, I will be gone. Away forevr.
…Okay. He keeps reading. His eyebrows start to furrow.
I love you both (most of the time, but Dad, you really made me sad this time), but I have to follow my own path now
His stomach drops.
Wait. What?
Do not try to find me.
Lando launches forward in his chair, suddenly wide awake. Is this for real? He just saw her few minutes ago in their bedroom. Well, might have been like an hour at this point.
Panic is setting rent free in his brain. "Oi, Max—stream's over," he blurts out, shutting the game down.
"Huh? What? We're in the middle of a match!" is the last he hears of him. Lando kills the stream without another word. Email...His daughter has reached the point of sending him emails now. Parenting, it never stops surprising him. His hands fly over his phone as he immediately calls Y/N. She picks up before the first ring even finishes.
"Lando," she says, already exasperated.
"Remember when I said the girls are too young for emails?" he starts, trying to wrap his head around this.
"Lando, they need one for school, this is not up for discussion. But don't get sidetracked - any clue where she is right now?"
He's already on his way to the kids bedroom, wishing they'd bought a smaller apartment. "I'm checking now," he blurts out, trying to keep as much of his anxiety locked in. It's fine, probably nothing.
"I though you brought them home directly after school?" his wife asks and Lando is grateful that there is not a single drop of blame directed towards him. Team players. It was part of their vows and one of the most important aspects of their relationship.
"I did, we just made a quick stop at the mall to get some sweets and then we were off. No spoiling!" he retortes before Y/N has a chance to go on her usual don't-buy-them-things-just-because-they-ask rant. The fact that his wife does not laugh or comment suggests she's had enough time to bury herself in doubts about Olivia already.
Finally, he's at the girl's door, which eerily half-open. A rare instance since the time the twins managed to win over the right to owning a key to their own bedroom few months ago.
He steps in, carefully, phone still at his ear. "Maya?" The objectively calmer and less hot-headed daughter is sitting on her bed, unbothered and uninterested.
"What?" she replies without looking away from her game. It makes Lando bit infuriated, but he knows he's hardly the one to say anything about this topic.
"Maya, where is your sister?" he asks, loudly enough so that Y/N can also hear him.
Not even a glance. "Dunno."
Lando stares at her. "What do you mean, dunno?"
"She said she was running away." Tap, tap, swipe. Maya shrugs. "So I let her."
"You LET HER?!"
Maya finally looks up, confused and surprised by the change of tone. "Yeah? She was being dramatic. Again."
Lando runs fingers through his hair. "Maya, you’re supposed to STOP her from doing stuff like this!"
Maya shrugs. "She was really committed. Packed a bag and everything."
Lando’s brain short-circuits. His ten-year-old daughter ran away. And he didn’t even notice. He hears Y/N sigh heavily over the phone. "I’ll start calling around. You start looking for our child."
Lando, still in mild shock: "Right. Yes. Good plan."
First, he searches the whole apartment, every cabinet, every spot he remembers the kids using during their plays of hide and seek. He's not sure whether he's more mad at Liv, for bolting, or at Maya for being so chill about it. After few minutes, it's obvious, Olivia is not home. He calls the concierge. Nothing. How could they possibly miss a child strolling around with packed bag?
He retraces their steps back. Pick up at the school—short ride over to the small mall—they stopped at a bakery, looked in few shop windows, Lando had them give their opinions on few bracelet designs (The plan is to get everyone in the family one with a different stone color. It's a surprise for Y/N and the girls know it. A family gift, so technically not spoiling anyone.)—then they got home and Lando started streaming. What exactly made Liv run away? Flash of guilt washes him over. Did he say something mean? Maybe he should have called off the stream today. Is he being a bad father? Well, he is, he figures. His child ran away and sent an email specifically mentioning his name. Oh, god. Suddenly, he's regretting being the one to shut down the idea of having their kid's location on at all times. At the time, he argued since they're in Monaco, there wasn't a big probability of anything bad happening to them. Everyone knows everyone. He forgot to count in the fact his kids might one day have a mind of their own. He just wanted to give them some form of freedom.
Lando grabs his phone and starts scrolling through his contacts, heart pounding. Okay. Where would Olivia go? Who enables her nonsense? Who has snacks?
Who would let her rant dramatically without asking too many questions? He dials the first name that makes sense.
Max Verstappen pick up immediately. "Nope, she's not here, Y/N already called. Nice one though, how can you lose a child that loud?" Lando groans, this being the second time he's been beaten by one his family members today. "I didn't lose her, she left."
"Ah, so you’ve been out-parented by a ten-year-old?" he comments, like it's no big deal at all.
"Thanks Max, helpful as always. Let me know if you see her."
"Of course." Lando hangs up immediately.
He hopes he's the first one to call Oscar.
"Hey, Lando. What's up?" he's welcomed with moderately disinterested tone.
"Have you seen Olivia?" Lando blurts out, fighting the passage of time.
"Um. No? Not lately? Should I have?"
He figures that if she's been sitting on his couch right now, Oscar would probably not even notice. "Nah...She sort of ran away few minutes ago. She can't be far, but like..."
"Yeah, that's not good."
Lando thinks about finding new friends. "Excellent observation. Well, let me know if she shows up at your doorstep."
"Will do. Check the school? Maybe she went back?"
If Lando knows one thing, it's that wherever his daughter, his carbon copy, is, it's not back at school.
"Thanks. Once she shows up, I’m grounding her forever."
"Might not be the best way to convince her to come home, mate."
Lando hangs up after the unsolicited advice. He's getting desperate, so he starts dialing random people who are in Monaco. Carlos - does not pick up. His usual contacts end up being either completely useless or actively making the situation worse.
At this point, he's calling anyone in Monaco who might have even the slightest clue where Olivia could be.
And then - a message. Text from Carlos. Mate, drop everything and come by.
Eyes still glued to the text, his brain short-circuiting over Carlos’ cryptic message, and then the phone rings again. Y/N. He barely has time to process before he picks up.
"Tell me you found her." No greeting, no buildup—just straight to business. Lando rubs a hand down his face. "No. But Carlos just texted me. Told me to come over."
A pause. Then, suspicion. "Why?" "I don’t know." Lando waves a hand at the message like she can see it. "He just said ‘it's important.’"
There’s a beat of silence. He can practically hear Y/N narrowing her eyes. "That’s weird," she mutters. "I just called the school again—nothing. Also checked a few cafés, just in case."
Lando starts pacing the living room, running through possibilities. "And?"
"Guess twice." He hears her sigh. "She's not at her friends' houses either. At this point, unless she's living in the canals like some kind of feral child, I have no idea where she'd go."
Lando groans, dragging a hand through his hair. "I'm going to Carlos'."
Another pause. Then, firmly: "Okay. But if Carlos doesn't have her, we're calling the police. What if...." She does not dare to finish the thought and it's just then when Lando starts properly getting worried. Many crazy people are obsessed with him and in extension, his family. He does not dare to even imagine what could happen.
Lando exhales. "Yeah. Agreed." They hang up.
He stares at his phone for half a second longer, then grabs his keys and rushes for the door.
//
He's putting his shoes on when Maya's voice cut through the hallways, her tone all shy and contrasting her previous sassy responses. "Is she going to be alright?" Lando turns around to see the image of pure innocence, worried little ten-year-old, who looks a little too small for this world. A smile forms on his face, even though it does not match his current mood at all.
"Come here, honey," he gestures and waits for Maya to run over to his embrace. She hugs his legs and in return, he pats her head. "Of course. We will find her and it will all be fine."
"I'm sorry I let her go..." she apologizes and Lando is surprised that there are no tears in her eyes, given the sorrow expressed in her voice.
"I'm happy you're saying that," he replies, grateful to be spared of one parent lecture today. "Do you have any idea where she might be?" He searches for any hint of a clue in her face, but it's all blank as she shakes he head.
"She said she's going home. And then left."
Even though this does not help him at all, he nods understandingly, slowly letting go of Maya and reaching for his jacket. "And do you know why?" Guilt must be written all over his face. He had been too reckless, too focused on other things and neglecting his kids.
Maya's soft voice provides an answer, that opens up more questions. "She was upset about the bracelet. Said it was too much."
This stops his actions. "What?" Lando frowns, trying to wrap his head around whether his daughter entering some sort of preteen leftist phase. Aren't kids suppose to like things? Maya simply shrugs her shoulders, her face mimicking her father's. "You know how she is sometimes..."
Yes, he knows. Stubborn, hot-headed and in a world of her own. Once again, like a sarcastic mirror he has to look at everyday, to get reminded of his own mishaps. Maya, the somewhat more innocent, less conniving one, stares at him, as if he has all the answers. He just grabs his keys, reassures her once more and orders her to protect the house. It's an old trick that still seems to be working on her. It's clear though his kids are growing up faster and faster. More complex tactics will be needed. In order to prevent future runaway moments.
//
He's making sure to scan every street he passes by on the way to his ex-teammate's house. It would make sense for Olivia to be at his place, since out of all their family friends, Carlos lives the closest. And, Maya mentioned she's going home. So, unless she's on her way all the way back to visit grandma in England, this seems like the next best thing.
Lando is on edge and the elevator is being annoyingly slow. His daughter is missing, his brain is on fire, and he has exactly zero leads.
And yet—Carlos Sainz opens the door like Lando just showed up for a casual chat session.
"Finally," Carlos says, grabbing Lando by the sleeve and pulling him inside without a single question. "I need your help with something."
Lando blinks. "Carlos, what—"
Carlos does not wait. He marches toward the kitchen, muttering to himself while swiping through something on his phone.
"This is serious. I've been trying to decide this all morning," Carlos continues, completely unaware of Lando's rapidly declining mental state. "I need an outside perspective."
Lando follows, confused, frustrated, and five seconds away from yelling. "Carlos, I don't have time—"
Carlos spins around dramatically. "Should I grow a beard?"
Lando stares. "What?" Carlos gestures at his own face. "A beard. Do I grow one? Or will it look stupid?"
Lando rubs a hand down his face. "Carlos, I do not have time for this right now—" "But it's an important decision!" Carlos argues, like his life depends on it. "A beard changes a man, Lando. I need to know before I commit! I've been craving some change lately and this seems like a good step.“
Lando lets out a deep, slow breath. "Carlos." He almost makes it sound like a threat. Carlos finally notices something is off. His brow furrows. "What's wrong with you?" "My child ran away,“ Lando deadpans and crosses his arms.
Carlos blinks. "Oh."
There’s a pause. Then, his eyes widen. "Oh!"
"Yes!" Lando gestures wildly. "That’s why I’m here! I thought maybe she came to you—" Carlos gasps, like he’s just uncovered a great conspiracy.
"She’s on a boat."
"...What?" Carlos nods, suddenly deep in thought. "Sí. It makes sense." Lando shakes his head. "No. It does not."
Carlos, ignoring him entirely: "When I was a small child, I often ran away when I was unhappy with my parents. I would go to the sea. The sea is mysterious. The sea is freedom. And Olivia knows that, I remember telling her.“ Lando pinches the bridge of his nose. Why, pray tell, would his friends instruct his children to ran away from home. "Well, thank you for that. Carlos, the sea is also full of very real dangers." Carlos waves him off. "Oh wait no - it was Maya," he says, like that solves the problem. "So, never mind."
"You do realize the girls talk to each other, constantly sharing bad ideas, right?" Lando snaps, unable to comprehend how quickly his calm afternoon had turned so sour. "Please, refrain from giving them bad ideas from now on, thank you." "Ay, cabron, come on. She’s just probably sitting on a yacht somewhere. You know how many boats there are in Monaco?"
Lando does, unfortunately, know. Too many. Way too many.
Carlos is nodding to himself now, fully convinced. "Come on. We go to the harbor, check a few docks. Maybe yell her name a few times—"
"I am not yelling my daughter’s name across Monaco like a lunatic—"
Carlos grins. "I will do it."
Lando groans. "We are not going to the harbor." Carlos tilts his head. "You sure? Because I think—" Lando’s phone buzzes, saving him from this tragedy of a conversation. He glances at the screen. His manager. Since he does not have a time for a lecture on not missing meetings just because they're on Zoom–just like he is missing one right now–he hits decline and puts this on future Lando to deal with.
Then—a text.
Lando. We found your daughter.
He freezes. Carlos immediately notices. "What? What happened?" Lando, staring at his phone in disbelief, exhales sharply. "They found her." Carlos claps his hands together, triumphant. "On a boat!" Lando glares. "Not on a boat!" Carlos snaps his fingers, looking genuinely disappointed. "Damn. That would’ve been so good."
Lando ignores him, already texting Y/N. Because wherever Olivia is, she’s about to get the lecture of a lifetime.
And if Carlos mentions boats one more time, Lando is never speaking to him again. One intrusive thought enters his brain before he gets to dialing his manager. A beard–there is probably nothing worse Carlos could do to destroy his look so quickly and efficiently. Lando turns towards him. "I think a beard is an excellent idea. You should do it," he says, pretending to take this seriously. A small revenge for his best friend feeding his kids ideas about running away from home. A wide smile grows on the Spaniard's face and he squeezes Lando's shoulder. "Knew it. Thanks, mate!" Lando nods a little too enthusiastically.
//
Home is where the heart is. Some say home is where your story begins. Others say it’s not a place, but a person. For Olivia Norris apparently, for her, it's a place where they sell luxury cars, keep a an endless stock of hoodies with her father's name and probably walk around her on eggshells. Because while most kids would run away to a friend’s house or a secret fort in the woods, Lando's child—his stubborn, dramatic, terrifyingly smart child—ran away to the McLaren showroom.
And honestly? He would have never seen that coming.
He's used to people rushing to take selfies with him whenever he's on the main streets of Monaco, so it's not much of a surprise that when he parks in front of the McLaren showroom, he's circled by enthusiastic fans immediately. Honestly, right now, when he's searching for his runaway child, having visual proof of this afternoon is the last thing he needs. Sadly, he understands that making a scene and refusing would bring even more attention online. Five photos later, he finally gets to enter inside.
It's not like Lando goes around to roam around McLaren stores on his free days, unless PR obligations order him too. His presence would raise eyebrows and freeze employees even on a regular day, without his daughter taking a refuge there. It's obvious from the moment he steps in - all the staff members are on edge, holding their phones like weapons to use to call supervisors and doing a bad job at pretending everything is fine. He walks in and awkwardly waits for the frontman to approach him.
"Mr. Norris," he speaks, barely hiding his nervousness. "I believe you'd want to speak to the manager?" Lando just nods and gives him one angry smile. If there is one thing he's not in the mood for, it's speaking in corporate codes.
"Sure," he says and swiftly walks away.
The front desk employee looks like he’s preparing for battle. Lando watches as the poor guy takes a deep breath, straightens his shoulders, and puts on his best customer service smile before cautiously approaching. "Mr. Norris," the man greets, voice a little too high-pitched. Lando tilts his head. "Let me guess," he says, folding his arms. "You have a small, dramatic, ten-year-old hiding somewhere in here?" The employee lets out a nervous chuckle. "Well… we wouldn't say hiding, exactly."
Lando raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"She, uh…" The man glances at his coworkers for support, but they all pretend to be very busy. He clears his throat. "She told us she works here now. Said that Zak Brown himself approved it.“
Lando closes his eyes for a moment. Has this person never talked to a lying child before?
Of course she did.
"And you… just let her?"
The employee start looking scared. "Um, well, we were not sure how to proceed. She was very convincing."
Lando pinches the bridge of his nose. "Where is she?"
The man gestures toward the back of the store, where the more exclusive merch is displayed. "She, uh… had us set up a 'desk.'" This is a new level, even for her. "She what?" The employee nods gravely. "Sir, she brought a clipboard." That actually stuns him into silence for a second. Then, before he can even process it, he hears it—
A tiny but authoritative voice from behind the display racks. "Excuse me, sir! Can I interest you in our new McLaren papaya collection?" Lando whips his head around. And there, seated behind a neatly arranged stack of McLaren hoodies, holding a clipboard and looking entirely unbothered…
Is Olivia.
His runaway daughter.
His child.
He watches her talking to a grown man, ignoring his minor confusion and doing what could be only described as skillfully pitching this specific line of merch. No shame or hesitance. Just as she almost has this man trying on a bright orange hoodie, Lando decides to step in and intervene.
"This shade of papaya," she says smoothly, flipping a page on her clipboard for dramatic effect, "It is the best color, because it’s the brightest one. It will make you stand out like no one else."
The man, who clearly only came in for a casual browse, now looks deeply invested. He nods thoughtfully, holding the hoodie up to his chest. "You think it suits me?"
Olivia tilts her head, analyzing him like she’s Zak Brown finalizing a sponsorship deal. "Absolutely. You give off McLaren energy." The man looks genuinely touched. And that is when Lando decides enough is enough. "Olivia Norris," he calls out, voice firm, authoritative, and 100% Dad Mode. His daughter freezes mid-sale. Her eyes go wide. The poor customer looks between them, clearly confused. A second later, he’s got the star-struck face on, probably finally recognizing Lando, who steps forward, hands on his hips. Glances apologetically at the man and gives his full attention to his daughter. "What exactly do you think you're doing?"
Olivia plasters on a casual smile, like she wasn't just caught selling merch to a stranger in an attempt to start a new life.
"Uh, working?" she tries, tucking the clipboard against her chest like that makes it official.
Lando raises an eyebrow. "Oh, really?"
She nods, fully committing. "Mhm. First day on the job. Big things happening for me." "Liv,“ he speaks a warning, the fact they’re out in public with interested witnesses working in her favor. She holds up a finger, turning back to the man. "One second, sir, my old manager's here." Lando nearly chokes. "I'm your father." "Same thing," she shrugs. Lando blinks at her. Then, at the clipboard. Then, back at her. "Pack it up," he says, gesturing toward the exit. "Your shift is over." Olivia sighs dramatically. "Does this mean I don’t get paid?"
"Olivia."
"Fine," she huffs, setting the clipboard down like this is a tragic career-ending moment. Lando turns to the man, who still looks entirely too amused. "Sorry about that," he sighs. The man chuckles. "No worries. She’s good." He pauses, then holds up the hoodie. "I am gonna buy this, though." Lando groans. Of course she made a sale. As Olivia grins proudly, clearly aware she's the winner this afternoon, Lando grabs her by the shoulders and steers her toward the door, preparing for the conversation of a lifetime. He waves apologetically at the store employees, who are all trying very hard to pretend like they're not watching them.
They walk out from the store, calmly and collected. He's carrying the bag she must have packed and questions her planning skills, as the bag seems to be full of dresses and random selection of snacks. After all, even with the stunt he's just seen, ultimately. he is grateful that authorities didn't need to get involved in this. He guides Olivia to his car, opens the door and makes sure she’s locked in before he starts the car.
He’s driving home smoothly, monitoring her face in all the mirrors available. Dark sunglasses she put on probably to prove a point hide her eyes, but the body language betrays her. She's upset and while he does share her emotion and has to fight his urge to start his lecture about safety, fans and most importantly, not running away from home, he decides to do the adult thing and sets his goal on figuring out the cause of this all.
"So. Running away from home, huh?" he asks and tries to keep his tone as casual as possible. No reaction. Fine. "Your mom and I were really worried. Maya too, by the way," he tries to play it on the more emotional side. It's only when he mentions Maya, that Olivia shifts uncomfortably. Lando notices the slight movement immediately. A tiny shrug in her shoulders, like the weight of what she did is finally sinking in.
Good. She should feel a little guilty.
Still, she says nothing, arms crossed tightly over her chest, the ridiculous slightly oversized sunglasses making her look far too dramatic for a ten-year-old.
Lando sighs, drumming his fingers against the steering wheel.
"She thought you might be gone forever, you know," he adds, throwing a quick glance at Olivia through the rearview mirror. "She even got promoted to ‘oldest child.’ Big responsibility."
That gets him something—a twitch at the corner of her mouth. He presses on. "And I don't know if you realize this," he continues, keeping his voice light yet firm, "but your ‘home’ today was a McLaren store. Not even the factory, Liv. A store."
Olivia adjusts her sunglasses like a celebrity avoiding paparazzi. "Seemed like a good idea at the time."
Lando raises an eyebrow. "Really?"
She shrugs. "Well. You always say that McLaren is your home. And if it's yours, why could it not be mine?“
Lando’s heart sinks and he’s not sure whether he's proud to know Olivia listens to what he says or if he's terrified of the strange, most likely unhealthy, relationship his kid is developing towards a global corporation. "I do say that, you're right. But there is a difference between a job and a home. It’s a...Different kind of home," he says it and wonders if anyone had ever told him that when he was young.
Olivia seems to be deeply in her own thoughts. "I'm sure some of the employees would take me in."
Lando scoffs. "Oh, well, in that case—fantastic life decision."
A small huff. "Better than where I was gonna go."
Lando narrows his eyes. "And where exactly was that?"
Silence. If she says "a boat", Lando's going to convince Carlos to also shave his hair off. He waits, watching her in the mirror, not pushing—just letting the silence do the work. And after a few moments, Olivia finally caves, shifting in her seat.
Surprisingly, she ignores his question entirely. "You and Mom were gonna put braces on me so you could tell me and Maya apart."
Lando almost swerves into the wrong lane. "Wait, what?!" He glances at her, then back at the road. "Braces?"
Olivia nods solemnly. "I heard you. In the store. You said it will be easier," she says, sounding genuinely disturbed. Then, her childlike anger builds up. "But, I don’t even have all my adult teeth in! It sounds dangerous, dad! Also - why would you and mom need them too? Do you realize everyone is going to laugh at our family?"
Lando stares straight ahead, completely dumbfounded. For a second, his brain refuses to process this level of nonsense.
Braces. BRACES?!
Of all the things she could've misheard, this is what led to her dramatic escape?
"Olivia." He exhales, shaking his head. "I said bracelets. I was getting us bracelets. Matching ones, with different colors, so that other people won’t mix you and Maya up so much, I know how you hate it."
There’s a beat of silence. Then, Olivia slowly lowers her sunglasses. "...Bracelets?"
"Bracelets," Lando confirms, dead serious.
More silence.
Then—a quiet, barely-there mutter:
"...Oh."
Lando lets out the loudest, most exhausted sigh of his life. "Oh?" he repeats, glancing at her in disbelief. "OH?! You ran away because of a bracelet misunderstanding?!"
Olivia slouches further into her seat. "I was not going to let that happen to me."
Lando pinches the bridge of his nose. "Liv. If you just asked—"
"You said not to tell mom!“ she interrupts, as if this is somehow his fault.
Lando groans. "That's not the point!"
"I panicked!"
"You panicked? So instead of clarifying, you packed a bag full of dresses and snacks and started a career in retail?!"
Olivia crosses her arms again, defensive. "It was a solid plan."
Lando lets out a short, incredulous laugh. "Liv, it was the worst plan."
She pouts. "It worked for a while."
Lando tilts his head. "Did it?"
"...No."
"Exactly."
A long pause.
Then, softly: "Maya really thought I was leaving forever?"
Lando nods. "Yeah. She acted all chill about it, but I could tell she was worried."
Olivia twists the hem of her hoodie, suddenly looking much smaller than before. "...I didn't mean to scare her."
Lando softens.
"I know," he says, glancing at her in the mirror again. "And I know you like being independent, but Liv—" He sighs. "You don’t need to run away over stuff like this. Just talk to me, okay?"
She nods slowly, still fiddling with her hoodie. "...Okay."
"And maybe next time, instead of running away, just... go to your room dramatically like a normal ten-year-old?"
Olivia snorts. "No promises." Lando chuckles, shaking his head.
This kid.
They pull into the driveway, and Olivia takes off her sunglasses, letting out a deep breath.
"Hey, Dad?" Lando raises an eyebrow. "Yeah?" She smirks. "Did you bring my clipboard?" Lando laughs, unlocking the car. "You're grounded."
//
"So, you're telling me Liv ran away because of no reason?" Y/N asks for the third time, as she sits across from her husband and two suspiciously quiet children.
Lando's got his PR smile on, it's clear as a day. When and how he managed to teach both of the girls the same is the real mystery. Y/N cut her day at work short to rush home. Even with the news of Olivia being back at home, she found it hard to focus on anything else. She expected to walk into a battlefield, at least one of the girls crying and flustered Lando. But no—one would never have even guessed anything strange had happened that day. They're all sitting there, like some sort of picturesque scene from a school issued guidance book.
"Mom," Olivia speaks up slowly, accidentally looking at Y/N like she is stupid for repeating the question. "It was a bad decision on my part. I accept being grounded for a week. We will be able to explain everything in few weeks," Olivia says confidently at first, but still turns towards her father, as if for confirmation she said all the right words. It's hard to believe a single word she says. Still, he gives her a small, but proud, nod.
"We have a surprise for you and if we tell you everything, it will be ruined!" Maya's comment is cheerfully enthusiastic, like she's telling Y/N the best thing that has ever happened.
Without a clue on what to say, Y/N turns to Lando for any hint of answers. He looks at her like he's some divine angel. "It's a funny story, but we can't tell you now."
Y/N hands fly up at the weird logic of this all. "What?"
"Patience, love. It's a virtue," Lando says simply and it's clear none of them are going to spill anything about today.
Maya follows the lead with a comment dripping with excitement. "Yes, mom. Patience!"
Y/N exhales sharply, dragging a hand down her face. She stares at the three of them—her clearly rehearsed, suspiciously well-behaved family—then lets out a dry laugh.
"You know what?" she says, standing up. "Fine. But when this ‘surprise’ inevitably turns into another disaster, I am not the one handling it."
She grabs her bag and heads toward the kitchen, muttering under her breath.
Behind her, Lando leans closer to his kids and ruffles both their hair. "That went well. Good job, she's going to love the bracelets."
Olivia, smirking proudly, follow his lead. "Told you we could sell it. I have experience now."

Okay, I’m so gonna get hate for this. And it will probably get about 4 notes. This is, by far, the most opinionated thing I have ever posted on here. If you can’t tolerate criticism towards Rick Riordan, the books, or the TV show, please keep scrolling. My goal is NOT to change your mind or start arguments.
I also want to preface this by saying that I love and respect Rick Riordan (even if I disagree with him on things and don’t like some of his choices) and fully acknowledge that he has the right to do whatever the hell he pleases with his own series. I also want to say that I love Annabeth Chase (both the book and tv show version) with my entire being and you will never find me being an Annabeth hater. She’s my girl.
We good? Okay cool. So here’s the thing: I’ve seen a lot of people on here saying things like “If you didn’t like the books, you just don’t know how to have fun,” and “The new book haters are just mad that they aren’t the target audience anymore,” and (my personal favorite) “Nothing in the books has changed, only the readers have.”
And while I see your points, and I respect you, allow me to show you something. Because of the 10 picture limit, I am only going to focus on one specific change: Annabeth’s view of Percy.
WOTTG: Annabeth is surprised to be comforted by Percy
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4c58865b3fe18065001f3683527a963a/00280761f2a389c7-7b/s540x810/4b09ba235df8aa4dbd5789206cc399f62c4f5a50.jpg)
Past Books: Percy is constantly comforting Annabeth
WOTTG: Annabeth is shocked when Percy is smart
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/82d894d37953796d1fbe69a54e32d1fc/00280761f2a389c7-47/s540x810/ac8091e7aaf77d0363c6672fc2d516fe8546fc21.jpg)
Past Books: Annabeth often points out that Percy is intelligent

WOTTG: Annabeth thinks Percy can’t do anything on his own, and Rick communicates that Annabeth is always saving his ass

Past Books: Percy is ALWAYS watching her back, and saving her ass just as much (and Annabeth admits that)

I could put a hundred quotes in here. I could go on and on and on. But I can’t, and I won’t.
My problem with this new book is NOT that it is more goofy than serious. My problem is NOT that little things have changed. My problem is NOT that it’s just for fun. My problem is NOT that it’s much more childish. (And by the way, I’ve read PJO and HOO as an adult, so it’s not like I was a child when I read everything else and am now an adult reading the new ones.) I really did like and enjoy many parts of this book.
My problem is that the characters (especially Annabeth) have flat out changed—in bad ways—and we have no choice but to accept it as canon. My problem is that Rick, while trying to merge his books with his new TV show project, is changing the entire personalities and past behaviors/ tendencies of the characters.
I loved Chalice of the Gods. You know why? It was fun, goofy, and showed the characters that we know and love being happy and adorable. I strongly dislike Wrath of the Triple Godess because the characters—no matter how adorable and happy they might be—are no longer the ones we know and love.
My problem is that Rick Riordan fully admitted that he no longer considers the old book characters when he writes the new books. He is now purposefully incorporating his own personal mixture of the book characters and tv characters and writing those versions instead. Because of his desire to change and transform the series, I doubt he’s even read the original PJO or HOO books in years, which is why everything is so inconsistent. The old book characters—the ones who made the series what it was—are gone. And that is not my opinion. Rick fully admits that he doesn’t imagine them when he writes anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the tv show actors. I adore Walker and Leah and Aryan with my whole heart, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. But the fact is: they will never be exactly like the book characters. It’s impossible for actors to become the words on a page. They’re their own unique version! And likewise, you cannot turn actors into print. It doesn’t work! And why would you try? The books versions were perfect as they were. And the disney kids need to make the characters their own. The two versions can exist side by side, equally as wonderful, and still be gloriously different. We should celebrate the uniqueness of both. But instead, Rick is attempting to merge them into one. And in my opinion, its just hurting them both. And I’m gonna get real brave by saying this, but do you want my honest prediction? If he keeps doing what he’s doing now, the TV show is going to get cancelled and the books are going to turn into a joke. I so, so badly hope that this doesn’t happen! I have loved Rick and PJO for many, many years. I badly want both to thrive. But what is going on right now… it is not working, no matter how much we all want it to. And speaking as someone who knows people in the TV/Film industry, I am sadly not the only one who thinks the show is gonna flop. Which is devastating, because Rick Riordan deserves a redemption on the big screen, and the incredible actors deserve to bring this series to life in a new way.
I am not trying to force my opinions onto anybody. You are welcome to disagree with me and move on. I am not saying that I’m right and you’re wrong. If you disagree, that’s okay. If you agree but you don’t have a problem with it, that’s okay. In fact if other people have literally no issues, that makes me somewhat happy. And if you loved the book, I’m honestly so stoked for you. Feel free to just keep on scrolling, my friend.
But me? I’m sad. I’m really, really freaking sad. And I’m a little angry too, even if I don’t have a right to be. I can’t help it because I’m only human. But this is how I—and a lot of other people—feel. And you know what? That’s okay too. Because the fact of the matter is:
Annabeth isn’t the same Annabeth anymore. And Percy isn’t the same Percy anymore. And it’s not because they went through trauma, or because time has passed. It’s because Rick Riordan doesn’t have any interest in writing those versions of them anymore. And I think the comparisons between the old and the new show that fact pretty clearly.
#okay i’m deleting tumblr now#i’m too scared for the hate so i will be absent lol#I PROMISE IM NOT TRYING TO DESTROY RICK I LOVE HIM#but i think he needs to be more loyal to the old fanbase that has been so loyal to him#or not that’s fine too#i could give you guys more book quotes#i could make a whole other post on how percy has changed#but i’m not sure anyone wants that#so for now i will try and shut up#wottg#wrath of the triple goddess#and run very very quickly#pjo#heroes of olympus#percy jackson#annabeth chase#percabeth#percy jackson and the olympians#rick riordan#riordanverse

Hi! I was wondering if you happen to have any advice for writing smut that *doesn’t* sound like a teenager posting to Wattpad? 😅
before we start, I’d like to say that these are all just what I personally do with my writing / how I personally write. these are not “rules” and if you disagree with them, that is totally fine!
also, there’s going to be explicit language moving forward so you may scroll past this post if (written) porn isn’t your thing! 18+ content ahead!
let’s begin with the focus of your story. instead of focusing solely on “the action”, you can try focusing on “the feelings” too. how the characters are feeling as they’re being intimate with each other. in other words, instead of focusing on the “physical” aspects, try focusing on the “emotional / mental” parts and the “feelings” too. so that your characters also feel something else that isn’t just shallow arousal (obviously, there’s nothing wrong with being so horny that nothing else matters, if that’s your goals then go for it, what I’m saying is sometimes sex can be about something else that isn’t merely the act of coupling, if you get what I mean? the “porn with feelings” tag on AO3 is there for a reason and, yes, porn with feelings can get you just as aroused if not more!)
for instance, instead of “he roughly shoved his entire dick inside her pussy, grabbed her boob with one hand, the other steadied her hip, before he started thrusting and moaning”. you could try “he wasn’t being gentle when he pushed his length inside, feeling her body yield and surrender, engulfing him in one confident thrust. with one hand on her breast, the other on her hip to keep her still, he began moving, making love and declaring to his wife his fidelity in an ecstatic moan.”
how you describe your characters’ private parts affects the mood / vibes your readers get from your work too. I personally prefer using “cock / cunt” to “dick / pussy” because for me, the first set of pairing sounds sexier, more raw and more “mature”, while the latter just gives off the vibes of horny and mindless teenagers instead, which might only be a personal opinion and preference of mine!
that being said, the trick is that you don’t always have to use the exact, direct words over and over again while talking about the genitals. using “cock” sounds sexy and all, but using the word “cock” three times in the same sentence can feel like you’re trying a little too hard to make your readers know this is smut. they already know. and they know what the character is stroking.
sometimes the trick lies in the implication and indirectness of how you describe your scenes. sometimes it sounds more hot to, instead of directly saying what the characters are doing, use implication and metaphor to tell your readers what the characters are doing.
for instance, instead of “he pushed his big, big cock inside her and felt the walls of her cunt squeeze his cock, so he stayed still for a while to savor the feeling of her cunt around his cock before he started moving his cock” you could say something like “he pushed himself inside her, feeling the warmth of her around his length and opting to keep still to savor as much as he could of her tightness before he started thrusting.”
or, instead of “his cock was so huge it made her mouth water” it could be “the promise of godhood between his legs elicited from within her the hunger she never knew existed”
yes, smut is about sex. but sex can also be about other feelings besides arousal. sex can be about vulnerability, the complete trust one gives their partner. it can be about surrendering and submitting yourself to someone. it can be about dominating and controlling someone. it can be about pain and betrayal. it can be about hatred. it can even be about grief and mourning. just in case you want to throw in some feelings or angst and in case you want to describe your scenes with something else that isn’t just mindless arousal.
(again, smut with nothing but mindless arousal isn’t bad. there’s nothing wrong with smut just being smut with no other feelings involved. so this isn’t me saying you have to throw some emotions and depth into your porn, obviously. smut can be just smut and that’s fun and hot enough, and if that’s your thing then you do you. I will always be rooting for you.)
the two most important things while writing smut — as well as anything else that isn’t smut — are 1.) write whatever you want for you and 2.) practice makes perfect.
keep writing. your smut doesn’t have to be perfect the first time you write it, and that’s okay. that’s normal. the most skilled writer out there started out terrible at what they wrote, but the nature of writing is that you get better the more you write.
the first smut I wrote was about 8 years ago and it was terrible. and that’s fine. I’ve come a long way since. the point is: keep writing and writing and writing and you will keep getting better and better and better.
keep writing whatever you want to write, and have fun, that’s the key.

Matt talking about Bambi Compilation
Summary: A tiktok compilation of Matt finding ways to talk about or bring up Bambi
Warnings: swearing, talks of fluff, Matt being a simp, Matt being in love and cute Bambi and Matt stories
Bambi sighed opening her eyes, she had been laying in bed, her back pressed into Matt's chest for about an hour with no luck falling asleep, no matter how hard she tried she ended up just staring at the wall. After a minute she leaned over to the bedside table grabbing her phone and opening tik tok, making sure that the brightness and sound of her phone didn't wake Matt up.
She scrolled aimlessly barely paying attention to the videos when she scrolled past a video that she had assumed was a Matt edit only to see her name as she scrolled down, she quickly scrolled back up pausing and reading the title.
'Matthew Sturniolo Finding Any Excuse to Bring Up Bambi Compilation'
A small smile formed on her face, she didn't think Matt brought her up that much but apparently the fans thought otherwise. She looked over at Matt for a second before looking at the screen unpausing and getting comfortable.
Clip 1. from THEY'RE A 10 BUT... they aren’t your valentine
Matt sat in the drivers seat looking at his phone clearly not really paying attention that much
"They're a ten but every time you ask them a question they say 'huh' but when you go to repeat yourself they finish the question then answer it."
Chris snickered slightly "That shits so ann-"
"That's not that bad" Matt immediately cut him off finally looking up from his phone a little defensive.
"Kid what are you talking about that shit is really fucking annoying"
Matt glared at his brother "It isn't that annoying. I say 10"
Before Chris could respond Nick started to laugh "I know that look"
"What loo-"
Nick and Chris both cut him off in unison "The 'I'm about to bring up Bambi look'"
Matt smiled sheepishly looking away for a moment before looking back at his brothers "Okay but she can't help it. She isn't saying what cause she can't hear you, it just takes her a second to register what you're saying."
His brothers sighed leaning back, they knew Matt was about to go on a rant about Bambi
"She's literally perfect. Her doing that doesn't change the fact that she's a 10, scratch that shes a 100. You two are just-"
"We get it Matt, Bam is a goddess"
"And don't you forget it."
Clip 2. From Ghost Hunting at Haunted Driskill Hotel (ft. Sturniolo Triplets)
The triplets stood near Sam and Colby, Chris and Nick explaining that they had spent the last month studying their videos to prepare for this Collab.
The boys all turned to Matt for his answer.
He grinned like a kid on Christmas. "My girlfriend, Bambi, has been watching your guys videos for a few years"
Nick and Chris groaned knowing Matt was waiting for an opportunity to bring up Bambi.
"So I feel like out of Nick, Chris and I, I might be the most prepared for this."
"Just wait, this won't be the first time he brings up Bambi this video"
Clip 3. From 20 year olds playing with kids toys.
Matt held Snowy the lambs leash looking at Nick and Chris. "Pretend Bambi and I have a kid right-"
"Does Bambi know about this?!?"
"Shut up Chris." He motioned back to Snowy. "And this is our baby, and we're introducing them to you for the first time, You guys are uncles for the first time and it's Snowy!"
Nick made a face "This is getting a little to realistic to me, but continue"
"This is all normal okay."
Chris looked weirded out and a bit jealous. "Is this a disclaimer or something?"
"Shhhhh,"
Clip 4. From RATING A DOZEN CRAZY DONUTS 1-12 (Special appearance from Bambi) *May make a blurb on this*
Chris was annoying the shit out of Matt with his constant badgering about the donuts ratings.
"You know what we need, an unbiased opinion. Someone who's likes donuts but it really picky....."
Chris looked up confused not fully registering what he was saying, but Nick knew what he was saying "I couldn't agree more"
Chris realized what they were implying and smiled having a feeling that he was gonna win in this case. "Fine"
"Should I get her?" Matt waited for them to both nod to stand up "Baby, can you come here for a second!"
After a second Bambi walked into frame in a pair of grey sweats and a blue tub top "What's going on?" She noticed the camera and smiled waving slightly.
"We need your help" They spoke in unison.
Clip 5. Waffles, Pancakes, or French Toast (Ft. Bambi)
"Matt, you are such a fucking baby and I hate it! Cause I know what you're gonna say. You like chocolate chip cookies as if you're not about to be fucking 19 years old"
Nick made a face "Chocolate chip pancakes?"
"Yeah chocolate chip pancakes" Chris corrected rolling his eyes.
"Good, I was about to say what do cookies have to do with this"
Chris ignored him continuing continuing his rant, his annoyance clear.
"Matt have you ever gone to Denny's and gotten the french toast slam?"
"No but i've gotten chocolate chip pancakes from there"
"And they were fucking gross I bet"
Matt rolled his eyes turning away and opening his phone "You're fucking gross" he shut out what his brothers were speaking about texting someone, after a moment he looked up. "You know who I bet agrees with me?
"Who Matt?"
Matt smiled "Bambi"
A loud scoff left Chris' mouth "There is no way Bam-Bam agrees with you"
"Wanna bet" Matt laughed pressing the call button.
"Dude, she's probably sleeping hang up"
"She's not sleeping, we were just texting-"
Suddenly the phone stopped ringing "Hey"
Matt smiled hearing her voice "Hey Bam. We have a question for you"
"What's the question?"
"If you had to get rid of pancakes, waffles or french toast. What would you get rid of?"
They all waited patiently for her to answer.
"Do you want me to answer honestly?"
Both Chris and Matt answered immediately "Yes"
"Honestly, I'd get rid of waffles or french toast" She laughed.
"YES!"
"WHAT?! Bambi, how could you get rid of waffles or french toast?" Chris was absolutely flabbergasted.
"I'm not the biggest breakfast person. When I go to diners I normally get a bacon cheese burger and fries. But I do really like pancakes just not from a diner. I'd rather make them at home"
Chris looked appalled "So you'd get rid of waffles or french toast"
"Yeah, but I think I'd get rid of french toast if I absolutely had to choose"
"WHAT?!?!"
Matt looked like he was on cloud 9 "Bam, have I ever told you how much I freaking love you?"
"Not nearly as much as you should"
"Well I'll start telling you more. Thank you for answering"
"No problem, I'll see you guys tomorrow" With that she hung up.
Bambi was a giggling mess when the tik tok ended, she suddenly felt Matt's grip on her tightening.
"Maybe Nick and Chris are right....I do talk about you a lot." Matt mumbled groggily.
She turned over putting her phone down, her nose immediately brushing his. "It's okay.... I like it, makes me feel loved"
"Good, that's all I want" He leaned in tiredly kissing her.

QUIT | J. FÉLIX
PAIR: JOÃO FÉLIX X FEM!READER
REQUESTS ARE CLOSED | MASTERLIST
you loved joão the way he loved his past lover. from the first time dating joão, you couldn’t help but to feel lucky that you’re in a relationship with the rising star. however, it wasn’t the same case with joão. in simple terms, you were just his rebound.
during the course of your relationship, joão would think about his past relationship with his ex. everything reminded him of her where even doing the simplest tasks like going to the grocery store was a sign that he just misses her presence.
your friends noticed the body language between you and joão. while you were being too attached to him by resting your head on his shoulder, he wouldn’t lay an eye on you. rather, he would think about his ex, and a memory involving a moment like this.
you remembered the conversation you had the next day with your friend.
your friend, clara, argued, “y/n baby, that man didn’t even laid an eye on you.”
you were feeding into your delusions, believing that joão loves you, “maybe he’s just tired, okay?”
“tired? he was very much outgoing when i saw him with his friends while you were asleep on the couch,” clara sighed, “y/n, i don’t care about his status, but you can do better.”
“i can’t.”
you were well aware of the people’s opinion of you. when the internet found out that you and joão were dating, people began comparing you to his ex, where you were considered the “better” girlfriend. of course, you didn’t liked being compared to his ex, who had a history of cheating. joão had been cheated on a couple of times, therefore making you feel bad for him.
“what do you mean you can’t?”
you repeated, “i can’t let him go like that.”
clara looks at you, “y/n, isn’t it obvious? joão hasn’t moved on.”
that sentence was engraved in your head for the next month and forward.
there was a thing that people say: your first love is unforgettable.
-
as predicted, you and joão broke up the following month. around this time was when his ex came back to the city.
you had a hard time ignoring the interactions between joão and his ex. you were upset that he came back to her after what she did, but you were so defensive of joão, who will experience heartbreak once more.
everyday, you come on instagram to check up on joão to see what he’s up to. in recent events, he was seen hanging out with his now girlfriend at a nearby restaurant. that girlfriend being the same one that cheated on him months prior.
“he’s with her again?” your friend, isabel, looked at the picture of joão and the girl. you knew who she was talking about instantly.
“yeah…” your voice softened, sensing insecurity.
isabel puts her phone on the coffee table.
you sighed, “i just don’t get why he came back to her after everything she did. i just want to see him happy.”
“i know you want to see him thrive again, and it’s not your fault that he went back to his old ways. there’s going to be someone else that’ll truly love you.”
isabel was right, and you knew that. however, you were constantly reminded about the things you and joão did during the course of your relationship.
as days turned into months, you couldn’t help but to continue to view how joão was doing online. he seems perfectly fine, according to his posts on instagram. the more you scrolled down, the more you realized that you could’ve been there. spanish grand prix? that was your idea. miami, florida? that was originally a trip you planned with him.
you couldn’t help but to tear up. as you set your phone down, you thought about everything that is going on in your life. you keep agreeing with your friends telling you to move on, but the process was hard for you.
-
you flew to barcelona with clara and isabel, where you three were going to stay for a week.
the third day, you three attended the fc barcelona game. you were a fan since childhood, and you were overjoyed at the fact that you’re finally seeing your team live.
“i can’t wait to see pedri play,” isabel looked at the field where all the players are standing.
some big names showed up on the lineup. lewandowski, pedri, de jong, gavi, but one of them stood out to you. as you paid close attention to the player’s face, you felt disbelief. the number 14 jersey belonged to someone that you used to know. that face looked familiar, as it belonged to joão félix. joão, the one who dreamed about playing for fc barcelona. and it was the same joão who had left you for his cheating ex.
“oh…” you didn’t know what to say. rather than saying something about joão to your friends, you instead kept it to yourself.
however, joão is an important part of your love life. of course, your friends brought it up.
“félix is playing for barça now?” clara asked you and isabel.
you avoided clara’s question and remained focused on the field. meanwhile, isabel nods, “yeah.”
they both turn to face you. as you see their eyes staring at you, you chose to ignore them.
isabel pats your shoulder, “hey, i know joão is in the same place right now and if you want, we can leave the stadium and go explore other parts of the city, no?”
focusing on the game, you didn’t want to exit the game. it didn’t even hit half time yet. “no, i’m good where i’m at. i don’t want to waste any of our money because of him.”
-
after the game, everyone including the three of you, started exiting the stadium. as you were on your way out of the seats, a pair of eyes looked at you. you ignored what was going on in the background and ignored that joão was playing for your childhood team for now.
on the field, joão was ready to end the night. he was giving hand shakes to the opposing team, and entered the locker room before leaving the stadium for today.
in the locker room, joão couldn’t stop thinking about what could’ve possibly been you in that audience.
you’ve been quiet today joão. what’s up?” ferran sat down next to him.
“i saw her. she was with her friends just now.”
“joão, you need to leave her, she’s no good for you. are you aware on how many times she has cheated on you?”
“it’s not about her. it’s another girl.” joão sighed.
“please don’t tell me. y/n?”
joão nodded silently, his thoughts racing. maybe ferran was right: he needed to move on from his past, the cycle of grief and longing. however, facing reality proved more difficult than he had anticipated. ferran placed a hand on joão's shoulder, conveying concern. "joão, you should let go. you can't keep clutching onto something that isn't meant to be. i’ve seen the body language between you two, and turns out, it’s not meant to be.”
-
listening to ferran's words, joão rather ignored him. instead, he decides to navigate the crowds of barcelona. glancing around, he noticed a familiar woman standing in the crowd, her presence both comfortable and alarming. it was you.
time appeared to stand still as their gazes locked, the air thick with unspoken words and lingering feelings. joão experienced contradictory emotions, including longing, remorse, and hope for the future. joão approached you with confidence and a fast heartbeat. "y/n," he said softly, his voice full of apprehension. you were surprised and concerned. "joão," you replied softly.
you and joão were struck by the shared history and feelings while standing in the city center. It was as if time had folded in on itself, forcing you guys to confront memories from their past. joão interpreted your eyes as a reflection of his own sadness and longing. he wanted to reach out and bridge the gap between you and him, but he wasn't sure if he had the right to beg for forgiveness.
you were also suffering with your own inner turmoil, torn between the sorrow of the past and the light of hope in your heart. you hoped joão had changed and was ready to go forward, but feared disappointment. joão broke the silence with a mumbled plea. "y/n, i understand i made mistakes, but i want to make things right. i want to show you that i've changed and that i'm no longer the same person i was before."
as joão's comments hung in the air, you felt a knot in your gut, hanging down like a heavy load from your shared history. you wanted to believe him, trusting his good intentions, but you knew some wounds were too deep to repair. your voice was trembling with emotion. "joão, i've seen you repeatedly go back to her, not once, but three times, and i won't accept it. i cannot be seen with someone who has not been healed from their past relationship."
your statements broke joão and revealed the brutal reality of their situation. he wanted to protest and beg you to give him another chance, but he knew it would only exacerbate his impending sorrow. joão bowed deeply, burdened by his wordless regret. he realized he had lost you not only now, but possibly forever.
“as much as i love you, all i can tell you is good luck finding someone.”
as you turned away, your footsteps echoing in the deserted streets, joão was left alone with his thoughts, grappling with the bitter taste of regret and haunting echoes of what may have happened.

In Poor Taste [P3]
[Series Link]
(Yandere × F! Reader)
[Warning: explicit language, uncomfortable interaction, pushiness]
[A/N: ok, the pace has been slow, but it's gonna pick up in the next chapter 🙏🙏🙏thank u guys for supporting my story so far. Lmk how we feel about Lukas and Yuki ❤️❤️❤️]
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/afd2400e612fdd0137d4c7ea3aa6faa7/8b937633f5814e85-be/s540x810/08196dcc2931caebc709aa3c042d36fb15d5d58e.jpg)
You were never crazy about spoiled rich men. They were nothing but troubles.
Yuki Sakamoto didn't like the new guy. He would never say that, but he would think it. From across the teacher's lounge he would see the newcomer sitting with his head tilted back, his feet gliding on the floor as he played with the office chair. The carefree manner with which this American carried himself was a sore thorn he couldn't avoid seeing, given that Yuki's tall frame forced his head to peak past the cubicle walls, alligning his vision perfectly with the sight.
Yuki supposed this guy should not be his problem. After all, the foreign department had never been not loud and unkempt, save for the few dilligent teachers who kept to themselves, fading in and out silently like shadows. He managed the Science subsection, and from what he heard, this freckled eyesore would fall into Literature. Into your hand.
So, not his problem.
Still, he couldn't help but feel the irksomeness. Yuki blamed the summer heat. The window directly behind him was catching bright sunlight, and the flimsy blinds could not filter out enough heat. The suffocating AC air wasn't of much help, what with roughly 30 other teachers recycling their breaths between 4 walls. The cicada's maddening screams was adding to Yuki's mood - his blaring headphone could not mask them. His fingers danced across his sleek keyboard, desperate to punch in the last exam's score to the excel sheets. He felt his heavy eyelids drooping and his tense shoulders slouching. Yet, across from him, the newbie was scrolling on his phone, gliding on the chair's wheel as if he was a bored guest.
Yuki wondered if you even assigned this jackass anything, or if you had simply taken on the workload yourself. You had always been like that: quiet and accepting. Surrendering. You let your department get away with too much. At that thought, he couldn't help but chew on his lip a little. A poor boss, that was what you were. You didn't know how to distribute workload, leaving your guys dependent and spoiled. Yuki much preferred his team: quick, straight to the point, and no nonsense.
He felt bad for you. It couldn't be helped, though: you had the expertise that compelled his respect, but your reluctant attitude was wearing you down. Your team sure knew how to take advantage of that.
Lost in his thought and the repetitive manual task, Yuki let himself flinch a little at the bell. He glanced at his americano now so dilluted that the coffee had sunken to the bottom, leaving melted icecubes and murky cold water to float atop. The sweat building around the plastic cup left a puddle on his desk. Yuki wiped it off, his face souring. He didn't even finish his coffee before lunchtime.
Maybe he was in a bad mood because he was hungry and insufficiently caffeinated.
The door slid open. Here you were, walking in silently. You never made loud sounds. Even when you spoke, your voice was soft and quiet. Yuki could never really make out what you were saying if he hadn't paid close attention.
"Mr. Sakamoto?"
That would be him.
Your meek voice barely reached him from over there. Yuki saw you setting your books down in your cubicle. His head perched up as he smiled at you. He had a soft spot for you, despite his opinions on your management skills. In truth, he was worried, and when he couldn't voice his concern for you to the degree he felt, his worries fermented into frustration. Seeing that new slack-off playing on his phone right beside your cubicle could not have helped.
"Yes, I'm ready", he smiled and stood up, knocking on his chair gently. It slid backward a touch too far, and he awkwardly fumbled as he set it back into its place.
By chance, he had become your lunch buddies for the last 2 years. The first year, he didn't care to get to know you all that much. By the second year, Yuki's walls had gone down after your serious attitude proved to be consistent, and it was completely dismantled ever since he discovered your music taste and his was a perfect fit. He liked to talk to you: you were gentle and kind, not overly affectionate or friendly, something he didn't expect from the foreign dept. Plus, you tried to accompany him during lunch as often as possible. "Why", he did ask you one time, and you simply responded with "well, it's no fun eating alone". But you never specified who was "alone", and he didn't feel like pushing it.
As he made his way toward you, Yuki saw the new guy stood up with an expectant look. "Well, where are we going?" - he asked, his head turned toward you. Yuki's nose scrunched at that, but it quickly relaxed so as for you not to notice. Was that something you had planned?
You seemed dumbfounded, too. Your wide eyes darted between both men, lingering on Yuki to scan his reaction.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I don't think I ever introduced Mr.Lukas to you, Mr. Sakamoto", you laughed nervously, your hand gesturing to direct Lukas' attention to him, "Mr. Lukas here is going to be a new member of my team. He will also be working on the summer program with us."
Upon closer look, Yuki found less reasons to like Lukas. This was clearly a fresh grad who only came to Tokyo for the experience. He could see the lack of care in his boyish face - he was not taking much seriously.
Yuki would not say that. But he would think it.
"Pleased to meet you", he said, shaking the outstretched hand that Lukas silently offered. He could feel the weight of the man's stare.
The feeling was mutual, then.
The awkward silence was heavy. Yuki shifted. He was about to just leave you to it on the off-chance that he was interrupting when you suddenly spoke: "I'm terribly sorry, Mr. Lukas. I was hoping to discuss some confidential work details with Mr. Sakamoto. Can we have lunch together another time?"
"Oh?" Lukas arched his brows at you, incredulity left bare on his face. Yuki felt himself internally scowling when his empty green eyes turn to his direction, as if to ask for confirmation.
How rude. How very, very rude.
"Apologies, Mr. Lukas", he came to your aids, "there were some issues with her contract regarding the summer program. I would love for you to join us for lunch any other day."
"Does tomorrow work?"
Yuki was stunned. He was used to pushiness from new employees who were clueless about Japanese social cues, but never to this extent. From the 2 years he had spent in Australia, Yuki had gathered that this conversation was an evident rejection. He wondered if this kid was dumb or purposefully grating.
Before he could open his mouth, you interrupted between nervous laughter: "Of course, Mr. Lukas. See you tomorrow!"
"Okay. Bye you guys. Good to meet you Sakayono!"
Yuki was wide-eyed. He saw Lukas' smug eyes challenging him.
"Very well then", he said, bewildered. You followed him, your eyes somewhere as big as his own.
Only until the teacher's cafeteria did Yuki peeped about Lukas.
"How's the new kid?"
Your expression dropped as you settled in to your seat, your neat lunchboxes unwrapped from the handkerchief.
"Well, he's not a kid. He's only 4 years younger than you."
Yuki's mood was getting to him, and he let it slip- "as far as attitudes go, that's a kid to me."
You didn't react. Perhaps you shared his opinion. Lukas opened his own packed meal, lightheaded now. His eyes were still readjusting to natural light after staring at a screen for too long.
"I agree, he's quite young. But I'm hoping he would be a good addition to the team. He did sign a 2-year contract."
Yuki found your feigned optimism both sad and frustrating. Sad because you were trying so hard to be professional when that eyesore wasn't, and frustrating because he was personally disrespected just moments ago.
"Are you for real?"
You painfully laughed.
"I know... I know... but what else can I do beside my best, right? Plus, he is actually smart. All the task I handed him was done like", you snapped your fingers, "that."
"Well, that's ... good. I guess that's why he was sitting like that all morning."
"Yeah, but hey, he got his job done. He is pretty new. I'm sure he will learn about the culture soon enough."
Your eyes scanned his face. It seemed he was too tired to hide his feelings.
"Sakamoto, please don't worry. I will be fine. There are better things to look forward to, right? Like your show tonight!"
Yuki bashfully looked down at his half-eaten meal, his ears going red. He had been performing underground since ever, but hearing it from other people's mouth never failed to render him an embarrassed mess. Likely it was the switch-up: he still found it hard to balance between his daytime self as a serious teacher and the "him" who played electrice guitar to drunken crowds under blinding stage lights. You knew his secret - you, someone from work, someone that happened to stumble upon the flyer his band had posted online last December wherein his face was unfortunately unmasked. Before they took it down, you had managed to take a screenshot and rushed to him. "You?" -your dreadful message read above the attached picture. Yuki still shuddered remembering that moment: his blood was cold as ice.
Sometimes, that's what happens when your music tastes match perfectly.
"It's... nothing special."
"Well, I'll be there this time, for sure."
Before Yuki could thank you for the support, he was once again startled.
"Be where?"
Too engrossed in the conversation, he was caught by complete surprise when Lukas towered over the table. In sync, you and Yuki turned, neck craning to meet eyes with the young trainee.
Lukas stared you down, disregarding completely the other end of the conversation. Once again invisible, Yuki uncomfortably readjusted his glasses.
"Oh, um...We were just talking about-
Lukas leaned closer, his frame closing in on you. Your eyes met Yuki's in a moment of panic before going back to the man who looked as if he was in an interrogation. Yuki now could notice the quality of the obnoxious new guy's clothes - nicely ironed blue button-up with seamless stitching, and a long pair of slacks with a glistening leather belt. Must be alligator skin, Yuki thought to himself, barely hiding disdain toward the wastefulness.
"I'm sorry", Lukas spoke, his voice slow and deeper than usual, "I couldn't quite hear you. You have a very soft voice."
"Oh, sorry. I was just talking about-
"It's an underground punk rock show", Yuki interrupted smilingly, "we were just talking about how nice it would be if we could attend one some day."
Lukas turned to him only partly, his body still pointed at you.
"Oh? Is one happening tonight? I'd love to catch one, too."
"I didn't know you were into rock music."
"Well, I'd love to try out new things. I'm in Japan, for starter."
"Unfortunately we both have plans tonight, so even if there were any, we wouldn't be able to make it."
"Both of you? A plan together?" - Lukas now turned to you again.
"Not together...", you patiently responded, your eyes downcasted, "I'm having dinner with a friend, and Mr. Sakamoto here has something else going on."
Now blatantly ignoring Yuki, Lukas chuckled.
"I didn't know you were into punk rock. You didn't tell me that over drinks last Friday."
Yuki knew too well it wasn't out of the ordinary for a senior colleague to fratenize with a junior early into a job, but the attitude on Lukas and the didrespectful way he framed it left a bad aftertaste in his mouth.
He now found the persistent smile on Lukas' face very, very, very shitty.
"It wasn't something worth mentioning", you shook your head.
"Well, then I definitely will catch a show soon!"
Yuki felt like a crazy person watching this chucklefuck flirt. He was close to be embarrassed on his behalf - just juvenile and completely out of bound.
"Mr. Lukas", he cut in, "if you don't mind, we would love to catch up with you any other time. As we said, we were hoping to discuss some confidential materials."
"I thought you guys were talking punk rock?"
"It was just a passing thought."
Lukas looked to you who nodded in agreement.
"Oh, my bad, my bad. I'm still new to all the- you know! Well don't mind me, then."
Yuki waited for the guy to disappear completely behind the cafeteria door for his expression to sour. He could not hide it any longer.
"Good kid", he snarkily commented. You slumped in your seat, your eyes squeezed shut tight.
"Should we just get him the hell out of this school before he actually causes you trouble?" Yuki pressed.
Your face fell at that. You looked down, your fingers tapping on the table softly. Your chest heaved.
"I'm sorry... I overstepped."
"No", you waved your hand, trying to play it off, as if your voice didn't crack, "it's okay. I'm fine. You didn't-
If it was Lukas' plan for lunch to be unbearably awkward, he got what he wanted.
"Hey, don't you worry. Wanna see something that will make you feel better?"
Make him feel better? You were the one that needed that care. Yuki opened his mouth to protest, but you were quicker to flash your phone screen toward him.
The QR code to his show.
"See? I won't backtrack this time, for sure! I felt bad to get sick right before your last show."
Yuki's chest still felt heavy, but the way you reacted just then told him to drop it.
"Don't beat yourself up about that. You couldn't help getting sick."
You sheepishly grinned.
"I know... but I was sad to miss it. Well, this time there is no way I would!"
Yuki laughed.
"Thank you... we're no good, but I'm glad you'll be there."
"I already listened to your album, you know."
"I know."
When lunch was over, Yuki still felt a nagging anxiousness. He couldn't blame the hunger now. Clearly, something else bothered him. He wanted to say it was the lack of caffeine or carbonhydrate in his meal, but he knew that it was neither. It was the creep that cornered you, and likely will so many more times in the next two years.
His suspicion was in some way validated almost immediately. Right as he returned to the teacher lounge, his eyes met Lukas' monitor which displayed a punk rock clothing website. Lukas himself was nowhere in sight and neither were you - it was most likely that you had taken him to observe some lessons.
Upon this discovery, Yuki couldn't help the part of himself that found Lukas pathetic and desperate. So he chuckled. But another part reminded him that despite the ridiculousness, it was best for him to keep an eye out for this clown from now. Even though this person may be off-putting to the point of comedy, there was something strange about him.
Yuki thought it, but he didn't want to say it yet.

PLAYING THINGS I WISH YOU SAID BY SABRINA CARPENTER
baby, sorry, i left you in the dark. i always reach for your leg over there on your side of the car
you are really fucking stupid. at least, that's what you have been telling yourself for the past two months.
you're in your car, on your way to deyna's party. of course, san jose traffic is packed and going at snail speed, leaving you with time to think many thoughts. way too many thoughts.
thoughts that are mainly involving a pretty, german blonde who used to be yours at one point. she would still be yours right now if you didn't end things impulsively.
what did your parents say when you were a teenager about how social media is poison? you are slowly starting to agree because you let opinions circulating around social media and your insecurities end a good thing. now the one person you didn't want to hurt in this life is hurt and you're hurting alongside her.
you almost want to forget about her, but who could forget about sydney?
that's why when you change lanes to reach your exit on the highway, your hand automatically goes to the passenger seat to reach for a thigh that isn't there.
right. she's in germany, not here.
you're so fucking stupid.
baby, everything reminds me of you. nobody gets my jokes, everyone here thinks i'm fucking rude
being at practice reminds you so much of sydney. it makes sense, you both are professional players. so of course your day is riddled with memories of sydney.
arriving at the training facility reminds you of that time sydney told you she tripped coming into bayern's training building, and she was teased for days.
going through drills has you thinking about when sydney whined on the phone everyday about her legs and feet hurting after practice.
time in the gym, doing your cardio is not that different from the days where sydney and you would workout out together. getting a sweet treat right afterward.
so, by the time training is over, you are ready to get dressed quickly in the locker room and duck out to go drown in your self-pity and regret at home. it's too bad that even the locker room reminds you of sydney or the lack thereof.
“why are you changing so fast? trying to run away from those bad shots you made?” jen jokes, coming to sit by you at your cubby.
you look at her, your hands still occupied tying your shoe. “you cannot be talking after the amount of times you fell. your age catching up to you?” you say in a similar joking tone with a side of deadpan,
or so you thought as everyone looks at you like you're crazy.
“i was just playing around, chill,” jen says. her words confuse you and so does the reactions of your other teammates.
did your joke have venom that you were unaware of behind it? or did you say it more on the side of deadpan than joking?
all you know is that sydney would have laughed at that. she would be giggling so hard, her face would get all red. then she would have thrown an even better insult right back at you.
you really miss her.
when i saw you cry, i didn't handle it well. without you here, i don’t know what to do with myself.
your nights have been so boring ever since you broke up with sydney. the same routine: get home, shower, water the plants, eat dinner, and then spend an hour or two scrolling on social media trying to fight the urge to stalk sydney's page.
you had blocked the blonde back when you two first broke up. you remember how klara texted you about how that's “childish and just hurts you both more.” she's right, of course, but who's going to tell her that? not you. not after you made a whole big deal about moving on and focusing on your career.
moving on doesn't even seem right. that's for people who were heartbroken by chance, not on purpose. it's not for people who hurt themselves by ending something that was good and stable because they couldn't get out of their own head.
still, as you lay there and scroll, your entire being craves for what used to belong to it.
you desire sydney's warmth.
you miss sydney's scent.
you are hungry for sydney's kisses.
you need to be held down by the weight of her body on top of yours.
instead, you are being weighed down by the pain you inflicted upon her. haunted by the sight of tears filling up in her eyes the day you ended everything and walked away. the unanswered text messages she left you the following night after she got drunk. the single text that followed the morning after that,
those were mistakes. ignore them.
everything blares in your head like an alarm that never stops. a clock that is broken, but not because it doesn't sound off but because it continues to sound off even if you want it to stop. there is no snooze for your regret, not with the way your dreams are filled to the brim with thoughts of sydney, too.
i think about these things at night before i fall asleep. things i wish you said to me.
syd's barely affectionate with her.
they don't give off girlfriends vibes.
sydney is more cuddly with her friends than her own girlfriend.
wonder when they are going to break up.
it's not going to last.
you reread the comments that led to your self inflicted suffering in the first place. the noodles in front of you on the table have run cold and your appetite is halfway gone at this point anyways.
social media has never been a big part of how you move throughout the world. you love to doomscroll, and of course, you have your favorite creators across platforms. you know about different trends and internet slang. duh, you aren't thirty. but you never used to let social media dictate how you interact with people outside of it. social media is full of algorithms and echo-chambers made to take over people's thoughts. forcing them to stay on apps longer than needed to look for solutions for problems that have been caused by said apps.
that's always how you felt.
but even you fell into the trap of social media. early in your relationship with sydney, you were too in the honeymoon phase to think about looking at socials. too wrapped up in sydney. however, when you two calmed down into a just as in love but more controlled state, your mind started wandering.
wondering what people are saying about you two. do they find you two cute? couple goals? were there fanpages for your relationship?
other players who are in relationships often have these things, so why wouldn't you guys have those as well?
what you didn't expect to find was people overanalyzing the way sydney and you interacted in public. for people to wonder if you guys are even in love.
“they don't see me when i'm with you. they don't know how attached i am to you every second we are alone,” sydney said when you brought up your growing insecurity. she was smiling all sweet, sitting on top of you.
how could you not believe her with the way she's kissing the frown off your lips?
your insecurities still grew and grew and grew until they became a hill. a hill, you weren't able to climb over.
they don't know how sydney loves wearing your clothes around and outside of the house because she's obsessed with your smell. they don't know about all the nights she cuddled into your side, basically glued to your skin. they aren't there on the days you were in sydney's apartment, cooking and dancing with her. they don't see the way she is all over you when you two are alone.
yeah, she wasn't super affectionate in public but that's only because she got so shy every time you showed her any love.
fans online didn't know about any of that, but you wish they did. you wish you didn't put so much value into their opinions because you probably would still have sydney in your grasp right now if you didn't.
if only you came to sydney about this more. the german player would rush to do anything that would make you feel better, more secure. but no, you just couldn't because you were afraid she would be annoyed you kept bringing the topic up after she reassured you the first time.
sydney would have never done that and you knew that.
that wrongful thought was influenced by that stupid hill in your head that was built on tons and tons of mean comments. the weariness of long distance fueled the comments impact on your mind deeply. getting reassured over the phone wouldn't be as satisfying as in person, so you never brought up the topic again and everytime you were with sydney, you didn't want to ruin the moment so again you didn't say a word. all of this created a hamster wheel you couldn't get out of.
you get up from the table, throwing your noodles away. they are too cool to eat now, and reheated noodles do not sound appetizing.
slipping into bed, your mind thinks back to the past over and over again until it tires itself out enough that you drift off to sleep.
things like “darling, i hope you know it scared me to death. the night that your sister said you got into an accident.”
number that SHOULD be blocked
i'm so sorry about your injury
when i saw you go down, my heart fell to my ass
i hope you have good ppl around you to take care of you ❤️
contact changed to sydney
you
i do
thanks for texting
sydney
….
yk i'm here for you too, right?
ik we broke up and aren't supposed to talk but
i'm just rlly worried about you
your heart feels like it's beating at 100 miles per hour. first, sydney texts you then second, she's worried about your injury and third, she wants to fucking be there for you.
is this a dream? have your wishes to get her back finally come true?
you look at the text, pondering what to send back. an immediate yes would be too desperate, right? but you are desperate for her you think to yourself.
fuck it, just say yes.
right when you are about to text back, sydney beats you to it.
sydney
there's no pressure
i know we haven't talked in forever
how is she being so considerate when you're the one who broke her heart?
you
i want you
sydney
??
you
i mean i want you to be there for me
can we talk pls?
be friends or whatever you want
sydney
duh
i'm the one who offered
there go the other side of sydney that you know and love.
“and god, i, i'm watching everything that you do. i can't get your songs out of my head or your hair out of my room.”
sydney and you have been texting back and forth everyday since that day she texted you. anyone looking from outside the situation would said it's heading straight for disaster. exes texting regularly again? especially when one is still very much inlove with the other? a speeding train just waiting to crash.
to that, you would say they don't understand. there isn't no tension or lingering resentment or anger between sydney and you while yall talk. that truth surprises you considering the fact you basically dumped sydney four months ago. if the roles were reversed, you wouldn't want to see her ever again, but somehow sydney's heart is overflowing with so much love that she doesn't have room to hate you.
she checks up on your well-being pertaining to your head injury. the recovery so far has been slow, very slow. you aren't even in rehab yet, still stuck at home resting and sleeping throughout the day. thankfully, your parents flew to san jose to come take care of you.
when you aren't sleeping, then you are texting sydney. her check-ups on you have slowly turned into long conversations about her day. texting her almost makes you feel like you two never broke up, that you two are still dating.
when you can't talk to her or are unable to sleep, you keep up to date with bayern munich. if someone asked why you were watching them, you would say not only for sydney, but that would be a lie. just a little white lie, though. you're watching for klara, lea, and lena too.. but mostly for sydney.
seeing her in her element, all sweaty and passionate, makes your head feel a little less broken, so yes, you will continue to watch her matches without telling her.
and what you don't know is that sydney thinks of you every time her feet touch the pitch. how she goes even harder than normal to impress you just in case you are watching. she hopes you are watching her, she always has and always will. even right after you broke up with her and she had to push her feelings down to go put on a good performance for germany, she played so hard she was MVP of both friendlies. back then, sydney hoped you viewed her performances with envy. with deep regret for letting go of a woman like her. now she hopes you look at her in admiration when she plays well.
you also don't know that sydney never threw away any of the gifts you gave her during your relationship. she was supposed to throw everything away in a box like lea recommended, but she couldn't. she couldn't throw away all of the memories she had left of you in her home. she couldn't delete the pictures she had of you in her phone. she couldn't even block your number.
sydney hanged onto every single last string she had that was still connected to you. it's hard to let go after being dumped. she thought, no, she knew you were the love of life. her entire world came crashing down when you sat her down on the last day of you visiting her in germany, suddenly saying you believe you two should be over. that long distance isn't working out for you anymore.
she cried for a week after you left. klara had to come over and help her clean up her apartment after a week of just crying in bed.
after that, the blonde slowly tried to move on. she went out more, with and without her friends. posted more on instagram. pushed herself into drowning in work related to football. even all of that didn't help her forget about you. she couldn't. her soul still yearned for yours.
she watched your matches in secret, all of her attention focused on you. her heart rate would perk up whenever commentators said your name. she wasn't able to pull her attention away from her tv when the camera would do a close-up of you.
so obviously, the day you got injured, sydney knew. she saw the way you went down and didn't get back up. her blood was rushing to her head, her chest was hurting as she watched you get carried off. it nearly felt like she was the one injured with how her body was feeling.
could sydney be faulted for texting you? for worrying about you? klara would slap the phone out of her hand if she knew about this, but good thing klara wasn't in her apartment. going off straight adrenaline and concern, sydney sent that text that led to you being back in her life.
texting back and forth everyday has sydney dopamine hooked. you still have the same effect on her that you always have.
every time she texts you, her eyes glance around her room at the various things you left behind when you broke up with her.
the sweater you never asked for back.
the dragon stuffed animal she won for you at a carnival.
the brush you always used when you came over. she couldn't bring herself to use it after you left her, so it just sat on her vanity, taunting her for ages.
sydney told herself that when she texted you about your injury, you two would keep a certain level of distance. that you wouldn't become lovers again. that she was only checking up on you every day because you deserved people in your corner.
that last part is true, but her other motive is also there: she wants you back.
i saw you meet somebody, and i'm jealous as hell. that i can't even stomach loving someone else.
the texting between sydney and you have gone from texting to calling. a big leap, but you both admitted to liking calling more than anything else.
the calling is totally not an indication of falling back into a similar routine from before the break-up.
or maybe it is because you don't fall asleep on the phone with your friends, you don't text your friends good morning and good night, you don't send so many selfies of yourself to your friends. those are actions you always have done with sydney.
anyone could see that you two still like each other, obviously, but you are seemingly blind to it.
perhaps it's the regret, pity, and guilt for ruining a good thing for no reason that's keeping you ignorant of what's growing between you two once more.
that ignorance wouldn't last forever.
sydney and you have now been in contact again for five months, more than no-contact lasted. your recovery is coming along better than your doctors expected. your head doesn't feel heavy anymore and you can have the tv above sixty without your head feeling like it's going to explode. sydney was more happy about this progress than you were.
syd 🥺
just watch
in a few months you're going to be able to run and play again
you
my doctors said that's not happening so soon
syd 🥺
idcc
you're like half magical so you will recover soon
you
LMAOOO
half magical is insane
you're crazy
syd 🥺
crazy or optimistic?
you
both…
syd 🥺
WOW??
okay i see how it is
say this to my face
incoming call from syd 🥺
after you answer the call, sydney and you talk for three hours. bickering back and forth with a mix of talking about your days. of course, your day is the same as always. you slept, ate, crocheted a bit with your mother, and saw your doctor. meanwhile, sydney's was full of life per usual. she went grocery shopping, helped lea clean out her spare room, got some sweets from a bakery, and “saw the cutest dog while walking home” in her own words. hearing about her lively days makes you feel a bit better about your own days that are very simple and very boring nine times out of ten. there isn't much a person recovering from a concussion can do.
you could push away and ignore your feelings when you two were in just a bubble of you and sydney. nobody else is in the way, questioning if exes talking everyday was healthy. nobody wondering if all that contact would lead to something more.
that bubble is broken the day you see something that makes you feel sick.
it's a saturday, you're scrolling on instagram. sydney is busy at a gathering with some friends, leaving you to your own devices.
sorta already missing her, you go on her instagram to look at her posts. you had unblocked the moment you two started talking again. as you click on her story, you wish you still had her blocked.
your head feels like it's going to explode as you look at the photo: sydney is sitting on a couch, and some girl is on her lap, smiling way too hard.
what the hell was going on?
you almost type out a message to sydney before you get control of your emotions. it isn't your place to be jealous or hurt or annoyed. sydney and you aren't together anymore. you two are friends, only friends right now.
you feel sick as you swipe out of instagram. it's time for a nap before your head falls off of your body with the way it pounds.
seeing sydney with someone else is making you stop believing the lie that you two were platonic right now. you could never be friends with the woman you love.
i think about these things at night before i fall asleep. things i wish you said to me.
that instagram story sets off a series of events.
first, you slowly took a step back from talking to sydney. the step back was so slow that she didn't notice at first. honestly, you took two more months to not talk to her everyday because you were hooked on her messages. hooked on her jokes and selfies and laugh and cute rambles. still, you somehow did it. instead of talking everyday, you two talked three days a week and only for an hour. way less than you two used to do.
second, you started putting tons of work into your recovery. seeing a physical therapist and slowly incorporating small, easy exercises into your day helps you come closer to getting back on the pitch. the first day you step back onto the bay fc training facility grounds, your emotions are everywhere. you haven't seen your teammates as much as you use to when you were not injured and seeing them training while you were just visiting the physical therapist killed you. they were all happy to see you though, catching you up on everything that has been happening since you were away. your head injury has calmed down enough that you could sit outside and watch everyone else practice. all the shouting and sounds of bodies moving doesn't irritate your head thankfully. you follow this similar routine for a long while, even if you are slightly sad about not being able to play.
and finally, sydney confronts you about pushing her out of your life.
you're lying on your bed, having just came back from a day at the bay fc training facility. you and sydney haven't talked for a week straight, her apparently busy with her life over in germany and you making an active choice to talk to her less.
that's why when a notification from her comes up on your screen, you look away from your screen then back at it to see if this is happening right now. it's not the notification itself that makes you act like that, but the message,
sydney (wait 30 mins before answering)
why are you treating me like this again?
you
sydney
what are you talking about?
sydney (wait 30 mins before answering)
you're ignoring me
we barely talk anymore
what's gotten into you?
you try to think up an excuse. eventually landing on,
you
yk i'm busy with rehab and stuff
sydney (wait 30 mins before answering)
bullshit
stop lying to me
you
calm down syd
omg
sydney (wait 30 mins before answering)
don't tell me to calm down wtf
first you randomly break up with me for some stupid reason
“long distance isn't working” whatever that supposed to mean
i just know in my gut that's not why you left me
now we became close again and you're leaving me again?
why let me back in your life if you're going to do this to me
your head is starting to pound as blood rushes to your face. you always hated when sydney was angry with you and this time is no different. it's justified though. what you're doing is really cruel, pushing sydney away after becoming close with her again. you have hurt her once again.
you're so stupid.
in the process of trying to run from your feelings, trying to ignore the jealousy seeping from your psyche after seeing the photo of that random girl on her lap in that photo. lost in your thoughts, you don't realize that it's been ten minutes since you replied to her.
sydney (wait 30 mins before answering)
okay
do what you want
march 14th, 11:11pm, read
ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
“i don't know how to say this.. but you deserve an explanation. you wouldn't answer my calls or texts, and i get it. i left you not once but twice. both times for stupid reasons that i should have communicated instead of going ghost. the day i broke up with you.. i cried the moment i got home. all i could think about for so long is how hurt you looked. that should have made me act, but it didn't, and i just regret everything. the first time i pushed you away, it's because i let the internet get to me. make me feel all insecure about us. i pushed you away a second time because i realized i couldn't stay platonic with you. i.. saw that insta story of yours. the one with that girl on your lap. i lost my mind because i thought i didn't have a chance with you ever again. i'm really sorry, so sorry. i miss you so much. call me back, please?”
voicemail left to sydney, april 23rd, 3:00am
sorry, i pulled the “it's not you. it's me.” one day, i'll make sure you get a real apology.
sydney
are you busy?
she texts you one day in july. you thought that she was fully done with you after not speaking for nearly two months, but thankfully she isn't. you can make this right.
you
no
incoming call from sydney
…
“hello?”
you haven't heard her voice in so long. it sounds just the same, all soft and pretty. a rush of fondness hits you.
“hi sydney,” you say, more like whisper, into the phone.
there's some shuffling on the other line before she speaks again. was she moving around on her bed? it's a nervous habit of hers to move during intense situations you think to yourself.
you push your thoughts to the side as sydney speaks, “.. i got your voicemail.”
you thought she deleted it with how long it has been since you had sent it.
“did you like it?” you say.
why the fuck did you say that?
instead of hanging up the phone in your face, sydney laughs. you have missed her laugh so much.
“i wouldn't be calling if i didn't.”
“oh right.. sorry.” you let out a laugh of your own at your stupidity. not just your stupidity from right now but all the times before, too.
then the moment you start laughing, that makes sydney start laughing again. creating a cycle of you laughing at her laughter, then her laughing at yours and again. laughing on the phone with your ex after not speaking for some months once again is actually insane, but it seems like that's just how sydney and you are: insane.
the two of you calm down soon enough. getting back to the serious conversation that needs to be had.
“you know it really hurt me when you stopped talking to me. i thought we were getting somewhere.. platonic or not. it hurts even more to know you still like me but pushed me away anyways. don't you want me?”
“of course i want you.”
“then why didn't you say anything?”
“....”
“that was a stupid question.. i listened to your voicemail. i know why.. i just want to hear it from your own mouth in real time.”
you sigh before going silent for a moment. sydney doesn't speak, she just waits.
“i just.. was so insecure the longer we were together. i know at the time you told me to ignore social media, but i couldn't. all of those people were saying we shouldn't be together and that you didn't want me. i couldn't take it. i felt like i was holding you back from someone better, so i left. then when we started talking again, i deluded myself into believing we were on our way to being just platonic but i can never be just friends with you. the night i saw that photo on your insta story, i didn't know what to do.. so i left again. i'm sorry.”
“.. i accept your apology, but i'm still hurt. i thought you trusted me enough to talk to me about anything?”
“i do.. i did.. i swear.”
“you don't act like it.”
“i'll be better if you let me. if you want me.”
“i want you, but you'll have to work for it. i'm not taking you back that easily.”
i waste my time, i waste my life on idiotic things. like things you never said. things you'll never say to me.
sydney and you start talking again after that call. things between you two move slow though, very slow. more slow than the first time you guys got together.
you know that sydney is waiting things out, trying to see if you would leave her again. she keeps a certain distance when you two speak a little too flirty. she shuts it down quickly every time, which hurts, but you get it. you have to earn that side of her again.
and you do just that.
it's in small ways than some grand gesture. you tell about everytime you watch one of her matches, mostly praising her but throwing in some critique as well. after your rehab sessions, you tell her about everything. all your feelings surrounding the sessions, how much you've been improving. everytime you feel jealousy at one of sydney's posts, you talk to her about it.
that distance between you two slowly closes. not only emotionally but physically.
the summer the year after sydney and you reconnected for the second time since the break-up, you find the time to fly to germany for her birthday.
you asked before coming, though, not wanting to mess up the new connection you two are building.
“syd, i got a question,” you say, phone propped up on the bathroom sink as you got ready for another day at training. you have progressed very far in your recovery, thankfully, and can now do some light training with the team.
“hmmmmm?” sydney murmurs. she's looking all cute on the other line, face pressed to her pillow as she lays in bed. her room is dark, with the only light coming from her phone screen.
there's some hesitation that crosses your mind, but you push it away. communication, remember?
“can i come see you?” you ask.
sydney sits up slightly after hearing your question. there's clear confusion on her face.
“what do you mean?”
“i want to fly to germany for your birthday.”
sydney goes silent for a long moment. your nerves peak, looking at your screen. was this too big of a step for her? does she need more time to be ready to see you in person?
her answer surprises you.
“okay,” she says.
you booked your flight to germany that night and next thing you know, you're there. unfortunately, sydney isn't the one who picks you up from the airport. lena takes over that job, but it's still fun to hangout with lena after so long.
you don't see sydney until the day of her birthday. she claims she's been busy and you believe her. she texts you all the time even if she doesn't come see you physically.
your mind runs wild as you get ready for sydney's birthday party. you're in lena’s bathroom, making sure your hair looks perfect and your makeup doesn't make you look clown-ish and that your fit actually fits you and maybe you should brush your teeth again-
“you know sydney doesn't hate you, right?” lena interrupts your anxious thoughts.
“duh i know. i wouldn't be here if she did,” you say, still staring intensely at your appearance through the mirror.
lena rolls her eyes. “then why are you getting ready like we're going to a pageant? sydney likes you in every way. she was really hurt when you guys broke up, but obviously, she's moved on from it if she invited you to come all the way here.”
lena's words make you slow down your overanalyzing of yourself. she's right, sydney is forgiving you right now. trying to overdo everything to seem perfect isn't going to make her like you any more. she already likes you alot.
she wants you, not some polished version.
“you're right. i'm finished, let's go,” you say, leaving the sink and coming by the doorframe to make lena turn around. the two of you leave the bathroom, then put on your shoes and finally leave her apartment.
the drive to sydney's party is a short one, or at least it feels that way. lena, and you sing along to the songs on the radio the entire way there.
once at sydney's place, your heart starts racing. being back in her space feels so strange, but so right. alot is the same, but alot is different aswell. she bought a new couch, an upgrade from her old leather one. there's more plants around the place. her tv is new and even bigger than her last one.
the apartment is basically full with all of the bayern munich team and some other people from sydney's life. the smell of pizza and chicken hits your nose as you walk from the living room, where you greet everyone, to the kitchen.
and there is sydney.
her back is turned as you walk into the kitchen, but you can tell it's her.
her hair is styled in a ponytail, and she's wearing this black tank top and nice fitting jeans. she looks so pretty. she looks even prettier when she turns around.
“y/n?” sydney looks at you like she wasn't expecting you. perhaps she wasn't fully prepared to see you in person? even though she knew you were coming to her party. she allowed you to, after all.
you smile at her, “hi syd. is it too soon to say i missed you?”
“is it too soon to hug you?” she smiles at you back.
“i would be stupid to say yes, and i'm done being stupid.”
sydney flies into your arms, embracing you tightly. her arms wrap around your neck, her cheek pressing against yours. her quick reaction would feel weird if it didn't feel so right. you hug her back just as tight. it's been so long since you've been in her arms. so long since you smelled her scent. so long since you've even been around her.
“thank you for coming,” sydney says as she pulls away. not going too far as she stands close to you.
you laugh, “i'm the one who asked you. i should be thanking you.”
“for what?”
“for letting me back into your life.”
sydney's and your reunion is cut short by laura coming into the kitchen. she gives you two a look but doesn't say anything about your closeness.
“syd, you better get in here. it's your birthday party,” laura says, pointing to the living room. sydney looks at laura before looking at you. without thinking, you grab her hand and pull her out into the living room. time to party.
you ended up staying for longer than you thought you would in germany. sydney allowed you to stay in her spare room for the rest of your time there. the two of you have many, many conversations about where you two stand currently. she's not your girlfriend just yet, but you two are getting there.
when it's time for you to leave for america, sydney drives you to the airport and even blessed you with a kiss on the lips as a goodbye. your face is permanently flushed until you board the flight.
she texts you the moment you get off the plane back in san jose as well.
syd 💕
land safely?
you
yupp
but i miss you :(
syd 💕
miss you too :((
we'll see eachother soon
don't worry

Jschlatt x Fem!reader NSFW A-Z
I'm so sorry I wrote this at 6 am, with zero sleep so please bare with me
18+ MDNI
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/845c4e7d0e8daf07adf477e8f74db4d6/e342402c45c5e435-de/s540x810/2f4da3ed60fcb02090eb8d10340ab0957516dfe6.jpg)
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
After he cums, Schlatt is knocked out. Doesn't even bother pulling out, he will just collapse right on top of you.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
On you, he loves your boob's and thighs. Both are so squishy and soft, he likes anything he can just grab.
On him, he likes his hands. He likes what he can do with them, finger you, hold you, have you suck them. Very versatile
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
He likes it messy, although hates the cleanup. Would only cum all over you if he knew he had the energy to clean you up. I also think he's very paranoid on getting you pregnant so to be safe he cums in the condom a lot
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Is down to be pegged. Dude can't say he likes water squirted up his ass and doesn't want a strap!! He's just to humiliated to ask
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
He's had a few girlfriends and sexual encounters in the past. He doesn't peg me as the one night stand type so all of his past partners have been from relationships. Safe to say he knows what he's doing, isn't an amateur
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Missionary. I think he said it on the SDP but even so, he likes the intimacy that comes with it. He gets to kiss you, look into your eyes, hold you, just very sweet
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
It depends on the mood. He can definitely be silly but for the most part, sex is usually serious, not the type to just crack jokes during
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
He's got hair, but he keeps it maintained. He's a pretty hairy person, so trying to keep it complete bare would just be a hassle, so it just trims
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
I think he's rather intimate. Sex isn't something he just throws around, if he's doing it with you it's cause he cares. Not to say all encounters are long drawn out acts of passion, but he shows his love through small acts and service
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Before you guys started dating, he would jack off about once a day, but now he's with you, maybe only once a week. He only does it when he's up really late from editing and needs to blow off steam, but doesn't want to wake you up
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Tbh I don't see him being into to many kinks. I think he's a pretty vanilla guy. Maybe a little degradation, and chocking but nothing crszy
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
Almost ways at home. He doesn't like the risk of getting caught so he will usually save it for when you guys are in the safety of your home, but once behind those doors all bets are off. Every surface has been tainted
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
You doing mundane things turns him on BAD. doing the dishes, folding laundry, scrolling on your phone. Dude just wants you bad
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
He absolutely will not put his hands on you. No slapping on your face, he finds it so dehumanizing, he is willing for a few soft spanks on the ass but nothing that will ever leave a bruise
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
BOTH. he's such a munch dude can eat you out for HOURS. It's a stress relief for him. And he can skullfuck the shit out of you, use that mouth to good use (I'm so sorry for that phrasing it's just so funny to me)
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
He pegs me as the kind to do slow deep thrusts in the beginning, but the closer he gets the faster and rougher he will go
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
He's usually down for a good quick, bit never in public. Only down if it's right before he has to record or before you guys have to leave the house.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
He's willing to try anything you want to try, as long as it doesn't cause you any harm. He is OK with rough things, but wouldn't forgive himself if he went to far
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
He's a one round guy. I'm sorry he just seems like once he cums dude is done. You gonna have to give him maybe 10 minutes before another round
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
Not really. He's got a cockring, but for you he just prefers to do the work himself. He has gotten you vibrating underwear and sometimes makes you wear them around the house to see you struggle cause he's such a tease
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He likes to tease. Will finger you, then eat you out. It's mostly because he knows once he cums he's tapped out so he tries to satisfy you as much before he enters you
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
He's a moaner, very vocal. He's a little ashamed so ge tries to hide it but the longer he's with you he opens up more and you get those delicious. Moans in your ears
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
He sniffs panties. No further elaboration
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
6 inches, a little thick, curves to the left. Pink tip
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Its pretty high but he can control it. He's always down for sex but won't pursue every urge
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Right after cumming, dude dies

So with the rebirth au, has jaune left for uncle Roman’s yet? And if so is he being molested affectionately attacked by neo?
The Separation
The land whizzed by as the train sped across the tracks along their way to, Vale. Jaune's mind wandered as he watched this scene sped past him.
Jaune felt empty, like half of him was gone. His sister, and him had been for the first time in their lives been truly separated. They had been separated before, but they were often within walking distance of one another. They were joined at the hips, never apart.
But now, they were half way across the world from each other.
Jaune was going south to, Vale, and Jeanne was traveling north to, Atlas. Jaune was all on his own. Least, Jeanne had their new half-sister going along with her. This as a good thing in his opinion. Winter seemed to bound rather well with, Jeanne, if a familial bond between, Winter Schnee, and the Arc family were to be born, It would happen through his sister.
But, now, Jaune was all alone.
He hadn't felt all alone like this before since his time in the, Ever After. It wasn't nearly as bad of an experience; being lost in, Vaccuo in your underwear with nothing by a used toothbrush would still be a better experience than being stuck in the, Ever After.
He did have his giant jackalope though.
Jaune sighed as he trip came to a conclusion as the train entered the train station, and came to a screeching halt.
Jaune grabbed his equipment from the shelf, and made his way out of the train, and train station. He pulled out his scroll as he followed the map to some bar found in the downtown of, Vale.
Jaune kept to himself as he walked the busy streets of, Vale as he made the way to, Junior's Bar. If he wasn't mistake, that was the name of the bar, Yang trashed in a brawl. It made, Jaune wondered if he would stay here long enough to see her again.
That was a possible problem of, Future Jaune. Right now, Present Jaune had to deal with a bouncer.
~~~
Jaune: Okay... I know I look too young to go into a bar.
Bouncer: Which you are.
Jaune: Which I am! But, I am not here for a drink. I am here to see, Roman Torchwick.
Bouncer: Never heard of 'em.
Jaune looked at him before pointing at a wanted poster of the man right next to him.
Bouncer: ...
Jaune: Okay... Where is the bar man...? Ahh... there he is.
Jaune spotted the man at the bar, and made his way over to him, and grabbed a seat at the bar, and waited for the bartender to wait on him.
: Hey, what can I... The hell?! What the hell are you doing in here kid?!
Jaune: Hello... You're, Junior, Junior Xiong right?
Junior: That's me...
Jaune: Good, I'm here looking for guy...
Junior: A kid snuck into a bar looking for someone? That's pretty ballsey of ya kid.
Jaune: I didn't sneak in, the bouncer let me in.
Junior: Stancey let you in, why the hell would he do that?!
Jaune: His name is not, Stancey anymore. It's Stan, Stan Luji Percant.
Junior: ...
Junior: Stan Luji Percant... I like that!
Jaune: Thank you, I came up with it.
Junior: I can see why he let you in. So, kid, who are you looking for?
Jaune: I'm looking for my uncle. His name is, Roman Torchwick. Tall man, orange hair, has a flamboyant, peacock personality. Tell him his nephew, Jaune Arc is looking for him.
Junior: ...
Junior: R-Roman's an uncle? Roman has a family?!
Jaune: Yes, he's a terrible influence on my sister. Serious gambling issues.
Junior: R-Really?
Jaune: She likes running betting pools for years on who I'm going to sleep with...
Junior: S-Seriously...?
Jaune: Yeah...
Junior: Okay... Well... I'll send, Roman a message, in the meantime, want a drink kid?
Jaune: Got any grape sodas?
~~~
It was nearly two hours that, Jaune was brought to a broken down warehouse by some of, Junior's goons.
Jaune marveled as he looked at all the 'merchandise' that was kept in here; weapons, Dust, gaming consoles, and anything else that could bring a quick buck, or two his uncles pockets.
Jaune walked over to a man resting on a couch, snoring so loudly he could hear him from the other side of the warehouse. Jaune looked at the man, before he kicked him off the couch landing flat on his face.
Roman: Owwwww.... What the hell...? Neo, why the hell did you...?! Oh, hi, Jaune.
Jaune: Uncle Roman...
Roman: You were coming here today?
Jaune: Yep... I've been in, Vale for three hours now...
Roman: Really?
Jaune: Yeah... I've spent most of my time at, Junior's bar waiting for you to pick me up.
Roman: Ohhh... whoops...?
Jaune: Yeah... whoops...
Roman: I'm sorry, Jaune... I've been busy lately... late night heists don't really give you the opportunity to rest. I'll show you to your room, you can put your gear in there. We'll start your 'training' the next day. You're probably tired from all this traveling anyway. Alright?
Jaune: That's alright with me. I am tired from all this traveling anyway. Not to mention, Mom's tearful goodbye that seemingly never ended.
Roman: Ha! Juni's always been such a cry baby.
Jaune: I was scared for a bit that mom would die of dehydration from how much she was crying...
Roman: Yeah... It's scary how she does that... Alright, Neo?!
With a shatter of glass, Jaune looked to the side, and see his old multi-coloured friend appear. At least, he hoped she would become his friend in this new life. Only time would tell.
Roman: Show him to his room; You can play with your new toy tomorrow as part of his training.
Jaune: Looking forward to it.
Jaune bowed his head, as Neo gave a impish grin as she bowed deeply towards him in kind.
Roman: Alright go, go, go! I need to sleep some more...
Jaune: I'll see you later, Uncle. Oh, and this is yours...
Jaune handed, Roman a wad of, Lien chips, who stared at the curiously.
Roman: What's this?
Jaune: Your share of the winnings from one of the betting pools. 'My first kiss,' if you must know.
Roman: Oh so she stole your first kiss, eh? Ha! I knew she was going to take it!
Jaune: It was a foolish bet to take. Of course, Jeanne would take my first kiss.

can the yankees stop taking the splintering post seriously? they have terminal pay-attention-to-me syndrome and really are unable of scrolling past, they have to give you their inane fucking opinion on a joke. below are people who can't stand not being taken seriously for once and being treated with a fraction of the contempt they show the rest of the world
I have never heard about your issues? is it really true some of your individual states have bad laws? damn I've literally never heard about it. Oh and your government is really complicated? nobody has ever told me anything about the US government I'm afraid, this is all new to me. I guess since the US is the only country with diversity and every other country is a homogeneous nation state, nobody can really understand the internal dynamics of your country.
Oh and you fear for your rights being taken away? by someone who's already been in office and whose policies do no materially differ from the current president because of a document published by a lobbyist group without any actual ties to the guy you're all scared about? shucks, I guess we'll all have to drop everything and comfort you since nobody else has ever had their rights be actually threatened, especially not by the party you all seem to like so much.
Here's some further reading on this topic in case any of you are confused! I know your English classes were underfunded --a completely unique problem to the US of course-- so it's okay if you still can't read anything critically 10 years after graduation!
