Harding: Aww

Rook: The real reason… yes Harding, you don’t have to raise your hand, just… say it

Harding: Can we still plan Assan’s birthday when this is over? 

Rook: Sure. I don’t know when his birthday is, but we’ll figure it out

Harding: When is Assan’s birthday?

Davrin: I don’t know

Harding: You don’t know when Assan’s birthday is??

Davrin: No I… they didn’t tell me when I got him! I never really thought of it as something important 

Harding: Of course it’s important, it’s his birthday!

Assan: *agreeing squawks* 

Rook: Ok but you see this is exactly why I gathered you here, this… this behavior right here is screaming lack of focus . We’re going up against gods yet a lot of you seem just… a little bit off, just a little bit off balance. Almost as if there’s something lacking in the way you all look after your basic needs. And what could that possibly be…. 

Taash: How should we know, you’re the one that brought us here

Rook: No Taash, that’s… I wasn’t looking for an answer I was just setting up my next point

Taash: if you don't want an answer then you shouldn't be asking questions

Okay! Obviously, I love Wolf 359. The available scripts for Wolf 359 are recording scripts, meaning they're inaccurate in a ton of places when it comes to finalized or improvised dialogue, and don't function well as transcripts (especially since the scripts for the live show and some of the mini episodes were never made available.) That said, I think everyone should read the scripts; the sheer amount of physical description that you can feel in the show, even if you can't see it... I guarantee it will enhance your listening experience. Most visual show to ever be an audio drama. So, in pursuit of both of these goals at once, I went over every word in the scripts, and wrote up new scripts for the unavailable ones. Some of the sound effects described - especially in early episodes - might not line up exactly, because I didn't want to mess with the non-dialogue portion of the show, but I hope this strikes a good balance and can be a useful resource.

A. Spoiler: “What else would it mean, Sidecar?”

S. Turner: “Scientifically speaking, you can’t exactly go ‘beyond’ the stars, considering that our universe is incredibly vast, and any planets or galaxies present would be accompanied by stars-”

B. Hikari: “ALIENS! I think there are aliens out there! Little green ones, or big scary ones, I’m sure there’s something else out there!”

C. Feng: “Do the aliens in your hypothesis know how to race? Racing on another planet would be awesome!”

C. Rearview: “You really think you could beat aliens in a race?”

M. Caliper: “And the stunts!”

S. Turner: “Actually, stunts would be pretty difficult on most planets, considering how different the gravity would be from Earth. As for aliens? The kind you’re talking about probably don’t exist.”

B. Hikari: “We’ve fought off giant monsters, and you invent superpowered cars on the daily! And aliens are where you draw the line? Lighten up!”

You have been assigned a four issue mini comic [<100 pages]. It can be about whatever you want. The only restriction is that it has to be about a minor support character [IE character friends, character parents, reoccuring minor villains, reoccuring civilians]. Which character do you choose, and what story would you want to tell in a four issue mini?

For transparency, I'm asking this question to a bunch of people because I want to see all the ideas everyone has. See what everyone would do.

cast of impulse!! most specifically Preston Lindsay. it's SO unbelievably annoying to me that he never found out bart is impulse, so essentially the mini would centre on him in film school making a documentary on Impulse's time in Manchester (I'm aware he made a film about him in the actual run, this would probably come from him finding that in an old box or something and then deciding to make an actual investigative documentary into the guy). Most of the mini would be him going around Manchester getting interviews from old characters (here we get Carol involved), but for the last part I'm thinking he goes to Central City (<- pretty sure that's where bart is based atm? haven't been keeping up) to try and get an interview with impulse. Either he finds out bart is impulse or doesn't, the point of this would be more to build up to a new impulse run (maybe Preston finds out bart is impulse in that) and to reintroduce the old cast. Because I miss them.

*glares at it* It’ll do, I guess. There are some things I feel still need work, but I am too impatient to smooth them out. I did change one line to be closer to the French, because I wanted to retain that motif of the ~madness RetJ both have when they’re not together. Otherwise, it’s business as usual. I am shocked that I got anything close to right with Juliet’s high notes, but was ultimately defeated by Romeo’s. 🫠 Also, the karaoke track is wonky at parts, no idea why; the two I had were the exact same track and there isn’t another one available. Anyway, hope you enjoy this demonstration of my lyrics, etc.

I’m not in high school anymore but there I am Sunday morning watching the sun come up.. meanwhile I had shit to DO this weekend…!!

But instead, you know, at least I taught myself how to format a screenplay and transcribed 60 FUCKING PAGES of dialogue.

Did I so much as take a pee break in that time? Thank you for asking, exactly once.

Anyway if anyone needed, for some godforsaken reason, a line-by-line play through and transcript of the COD MW2 Alone mission, including a complete tree of all the dialogue options for every instance, I watched like five different full walkthroughs to catch everything I could, and I’ve got a fat google doc to show for it, now. I guess! I guess.

But then, could a fanfic author in need even now use my doc to outline a fic using the canonical dialogue, though? Questionable! Because of the way I chose to format it, (and went way out of my way at great effort! and expense of time! taught myself how to do for the express purpose of such!) …. Honestly in practice it would now be a huge pain to now line-by-line re-format it back into narrative dialogue.

Anyway. I’m at work now I slept like 8 hours combined all weekend and I really needed like a t least 20 after the week I had last week, and now I’m back at work, and I’m so fucking tired. I’m an idiot.

CQ is a project of mine that I am constantly working on, and I've made half-hearted attempts at making it into a comic over the years. Each attempt has left me unsatisfied thus far >_<... The latest attempt would be the few pages I put up on the Colorquest blog, which is what I assume you're referring to.

Those pages would be the only pages up at the moment, but the blog is locked right now as I am trying to attempt a better approach at sharing the story.

Hi new follower here :) I just saw your „live reaction to bkg’s resurrection“ post!

Did you know that in the Japanese original there was an additional line that said „Their feelings become one“ which was completely left out in the official English translation? I am so mad about that >:(

yesss i did know!!! yeah i really don't know why the english translation always either leaves out important phrases or flat out mistranslates 😭 that's a pretty impactful line there that essentially solidifies bkdk's positive relationship development as well as both of their connections to OFA

and idk if these decisions are intentional but it does suck. it's not like the author of a story purposefully puts specific dialogue or captions or wording in general to further a point that is oftentimes incredibly intentional. and it's not like japanese is a pretty clever language with a lot of double meanings and puns and other cool stuff that obviously won't perfectly translate into english but could still be worked around if there was just an ounce of care put into translating. that's TOTALLY not a typical manga, or even narrative, thing that matters and should be treated with respect (heavy sarcasm)

this is also my understanding as to why so many bakugou haters who read the official translation think he "hasn't changed". it's bc quite a bit of his dialogue is fucked up to hell just to make him sound either disrespectful or dismissive, even when he doesn't sound like that in the original. it even happened in the most recent chapter! it's like furthering the imaginary point that bkg will always be rude even in serious situations when clearly that isn't the case through horikoshi's own words. fuckin describing his own impalings as "getting swiss cheesed" during his contextually VERY vulnerable and honest apology to deku ... like what the hell kind of dialogue is that. who talks like that. the hell are you doing
