i was already losing my mind about the composition of this mural, the halos on both the dread wolf AND rook representing divinity, the way the golden sword (instead of the blue dagger we usually see) matches the gold of the halos and draws the eye from rook over to solas, functioning as an arrow more than a sword, possibly representing the transfer of divinity (???), the dread wolf’s eyes being gold for the first time we have EVER seen in any artwork….

and then my friend with an art degree @jaynotnow dropped this bomb

my favorite hc is that annabeth gets INSANE cuteness aggression when it comes to percy and that’s where all her attitude came from before they started dating

the only ppl who knew were her siblings bc she’d come home everyday after doing anything with him and immediately crash out on anything in her vicinity (normally her bed) but she was like extremely conscious of what was going on; self diagnosing

like her and her siblings would act like it’s some disease she’s dealing with coming home to her slumped on the floor like this

and everyone’s like “that damn cuteness aggression got her again 😕😕keep fighting annabeth our prayers are w you💔❤️‍🩹😭😫✊”

then when they started dating she could unleash it in a sea of kisses and sucking on his face (literally) whenever he did anything normal and percy just always side eye her bc girl calm down

percy is the type to fight cuteness aggression with soft kisses and words of affirmation while annabeth like literally has to keep her hands to herself until she’s calm enough to just brush a strand of hair out his face without yanking his hair out

Still on my Ulder & Wyll bullshit but like

I keep thinking of Ulder Ravenguard, sending away his only son at seventeen, and years later hearing of a hero with a fine rapier and mismatched, kind eyes and manners from a storybook, and thinking, demanding surely not. that cannot be my son. my son is a devil's servant. it cannot be. i have no son.

and then after seven long years meeting Wyll again, at Wrym's Rock through a mindflayer's thrall, and feeling something like relief, not at seeing him but at this cold surety that this boy, this man, this hero of the frontiers could not be his son, because his son was not this tall and old and sure-footed, and did not have curling horns and a devil red eye, and the rumors must be wrong, and this Blade must be a stranger.

And then Wyll looks at him, with such kind eyes- his mother's eyes still, even devil-tainted- and calls him "father", and he knows, he knows, and his son is here, so much older and wearier and stronger, too, and he's a hero and a man and by gods he's a monster and by gods he's his son.

Fucking hell.

I've just seen the stage adaptation of @neil-gaiman 's Ocean at the End of the Lane and it has changed my brain chemistry. The symbolism in the lighting, the sound, the costumes, it was all amazingly thought out, the suspense was built up so well, the PRACTICAL EFFECTS!!! Adapting fantasy is always difficult, because there will be things that don't exist normally, but GODDAMN, that was amazing!!! If you can, I highly recommend going to see it, because that 2-3 ish hours felt like a spiritual experience. It has awoken emotions in me that I never knew I had.

I really think not enough is said about "awkward" yet good-intentioned handhelds. By that I mean the tiny not quite sure how to hold on or balance themself, or the giant sort of wrapping their fingers around them and accidentally covering their mouth, so their speech is muffled, followed by an adjustment, a "sorry."

The kind among friends, the tiny one clambering into a palm, losing balance and tumbling as it shifts underneath them, the giant perhaps in a hurry. Little exclamations of "oops" or "woah," the giant cupping their hands around them and reassuring them that they won't fall out as they get reoriented. "I gotcha, little one."

Shit never fails to bring a stupid fucking smile to my face.
