Ignota's Top Surgery Fund Commissions!
Hello! I am Ignota. I am a 25-year-old non-binary artist, known mostly for my pixel animations, my comics, the Godot games/interactives I've made/am making for the SCP Wiki, and TikTok videos. I recently FINALLY got my insurance to cover top surgery(I live in California, but my insurance is out of Florida)
I just found out my insurance kinda lied about my doctor being in-network. My insurance agreed to cover the top surgery itself but does not cover the surgical center I need to get it done at. I've been quoted at $2140, not including additional medical workup, prescriptions, travel, and temporary living expenses.
I am trying to reach out to my insurance to see if it'll be covered, but I am about to age out of my current insurance and I am not in a position to afford new insurance. There is still a chance I can convince my insurance to cover it, but this is time-sensitive and I want to have the ABILITY to do it regardless. So, I am doing commissions now.
PRICING
Pixel animation $50-$400
$50(Art similar to the first image): Maximum of 12 frames. One character. Very limited movement. Canvas size under 135x135
$80(Art similar to the second image) Maximum of 24 frames at any framerate(Typically 4fps for 6 seconds or 8fps for 3 seconds), Simple Movement, 1-2 characters, maximum canvas size of 135x135. Price can be adjusted to accommodate more detail
$200(Art similar to the third image) a couple characters, a detailed environment, and a moving scene. Maximum canvas of 256x240. The scene can be converted to a simple one-room HTML5 format that can play in-browser.
$400+(Art similar to the fourth Image) A complex environment, multiple characters/moving parts, and the ability for a scrolling background.
Illustrations $50-$250
$50(Art similar to the first image): A simple close-up shot in any style.
$100(Art similar to the second image) A simple scene or full body with no background.
$250+(Art similar to the third and fourth images) A complex environment. Alternatively, a detailed comic page.
All features are negotiable and individual requests might change the price. If there's something from one tier you want but don't want all the other stuff, chances I may be able to work something out that will fit your needs. These descriptions are suggestions to make it a little easier, not solid outlines of what they need to look like. Feel free to bring other ideas to the table. I have worked on background illustrations and pixel animations for indie devs making games, Dungeons and Dragons character sheets, individual character pieces, and many other things in the past.
Contact me through my Email([email protected]) or my Discord(ironshears)! Alternatively, I do have a Ko-Fi if you want to support my art.
Alex Thorley's Blind Date(The Dating Sim) by me under CC-BY-SA
Kuobach's Eyes(Orange Comic) by me under CC-BY-SA
Nacre Series by me under CC-BY-SA
The other pixel game in question is tentatively titled Brand New Colors and has not been completed yet, but you can find more of it on my blog. It will also be under CC-BY-SA

Things You Should Never Say To a Chronic Illness Survivor
This is a list of things that are just not cool to say to anybody with a chronic condition. I have fibromyalgia, which is a very complicated way of saying everything hurts, and no one knows why. I've heard most of this crap first hand. Seriously, y'all know this stuff doesn't help, knock it off.
"You don't look sick." Uh, yeah. Invisible illness doesn't outwardly advertise. While we may not look sick, you look like an ass saying that. 0/10, please stop.
"You're too young to be sick." You say that to a pediatric cancer patient? No? Then realize sickness can hit at any age. Another 0/10, stop it.
"It can't be that bad, you're always smiling." Here's the thing... most of us in this hellboat do not, surprisingly, like to be seen when we're not on our game, and we honestly want to just die. Unless you, like a certain very fictional SCP Foundation Doctor, can swap bodies at will, you have no freaking clue how anyone else feels. -10/10, say it again and we can and will find someone to smack the stupid out of you on our behalf.
"Are you still sick/are you better yet/you still haven't recovered yet?" Uh, yeah. Chronic illness doesn't just vanish. Supremely unhelpful, hurtful, and the next person who asks me this personally will find out I can still bitchslap with the best of them. -11/10, delete this query from your vocabulary.
"You can't always be in this much pain." No, some days are even WORSE. And the stress from dealing with unbelievers stings as much as our illnesses. Again, spend an hour in our bodies, you'll sing a new tune. -9/10, if you don't know, don't judge.
"You're just miserable." No shit, asshole. We're in pain all the time. If we complain, 9 times out of 10, we're not bullshitting you. Trust us. If we don't complain, it still hurts. For some of us it even hurts more to complain all the time. -20/10, say this one more time, we dare you.
"Have you tried (insert treatment/supplement/exercise here)?" Uh, probably. But not everything works for everybody. And some exercises just make it worse. 0/10, stop it.
"You just need therapy." While therapy helps deal with the condition, it WILL NOT FIX A GODSDAMNED CHEMICAL IMBALANCE/PHYSICAL DEFORMITY IN YOUR BRAIN BY ITSELF. You wouldn't say this to a person with a brain tumor, quit saying it to us. -11/10, do your research and learn something.
"Try to reduce stress." Uh... my body is the PRIMARY SOURCE of my stress, as it decided it hates me. So, unless you got a spare meatsuit behind your desk, this is just useless. -20/10, quit it.
"I know how you feel." No, no you do not, not unless you're trapped in your own circle of this particular hell. -25/10, this WILL result in me punching the offender if I hear this one more damn time.
"You're faking it/Fibromyalgia doesn't exist/you're just trying to get attention." Yeah, because being in CONSTANT UNBEARABLE AGONY 24/7/365 is just soo much fun. Look, no one really believed in radiation before the Curies, but it exists, and can be proven. Unlike the so-called intelligence of the idiot saying this. -30/10, if you think this, would you kindly stay the fuck away from us, as you're just a fool.
"You'll feel better after a good sleep." Assuming our bodies even let us, which is rare. And for me at least, I think the last good sleep I had was getting my gallbladder out, not that it helped. 0/10, just shove it.
"You'll feel worse in a few years." Really? Cause I legit want to die now. -1000/10, if you get the urge to say this, punch yourself in the eye and save us the trouble.
"Try (insert whatever diet here), it'll help." Not always an option on a fixed income, my dudes.
"There are people worse off than you." This pisses me off on two levels. One, comparing traumas/illnesses doesn't do much. Two, this is true for almost everybody. -250/10, mean, rude, and simply unhelpful.
"Everybody feels like that." ALL THE TIME? No? Then stfu. -1000/10, again, feel the urge to say this, punch yourself in the eye and save us the trouble.
"You're no fun anymore." Neither is our illness. -10/10.
"Why can't you just snap out of it?" DID YOU REALLY FUCKING THINK WE HAVEN'T TRIED THAT, YOU IDIOT? Chronic illness does not work like that AT ALL. -2000/10, never say this.
"Have you tried losing/gaining weight?" It makes very little difference. -10/10, shut up and mind your business instead of our waistlines.
"You're not really trying to get better." Yes, yes we are. And this doesn't do anything but anger us. The very notion we like being this way implies just how dumb people can be. -1000/10, just stop this crap.
#fibromyalgia sucks#chronic illness sucks major rancid donkey dick#and if you dont know now you know

Another favorite of mine is SCP-261 - "Pan-Dimensional Vending".
Which is pretty much exactly what the nickname implies it to be, a vending machine that anomalously dispenses products that seem to be from across dimensions, starting out with things you could expect in our world, to products that have never been produced in our world, to ones that can't be produced in our world. This goes on the more it is used in a short time frame.
Here's a few examples taken from the test log in the SCP itself.
“Cheetos” – A small bag of Cheetos snack food, packaging in English.
“Pepsi: Dragon Twist” – A can of Pepsi cola, with a trace of fruit flavor, packaging in English. Flavor identified as Dragon Fruit. PepsiCo does not produce this product.
“Darkside Cola” – A “can” with clear plastic sides, packaging in Japanese. Liquid inside is clear. When opened, liquid appears to react to the air, and changes to dark black over a period of several seconds. The black coloration “looks like billowing smoke”, and cannot be reversed. Liquid’s taste described as “cola, with something spicy in it.”
“The Little Bakery: 7 Grain” – A small tube the size of a candy bar with a green button, made of aluminum, packaging in English. When the top is twisted off, a mass of “dough” is extruded. “Dough” contains several enzymes and bacteria that have not yet been identified. On contact with air, these cause the dough to rise and “bake”, killing the microbes in the process. Produces a small, round loaf of bread weighing 250 grams. Taste described as good, but chewy.
“Lemon Clams” – Thick plastic baggie with a plastic tube on the side, containing water and twelve clams, packaging in Dutch. Following on-package instructions, the plastic tube was cracked like a “glow stick”. Liquid in the bag flashed to steam, venting from a hole that popped open in the top of the bag, slightly burning one researcher. Steaming finished after thirty-eight seconds, after which clams were found to be fully cooked and infused with a mild lemon flavor. On investigation, clams match no recorded species.
“<Unknown>” – Small mesh bag filled with small, multi-colored pyramids, packaging in an unknown language. Pyramids found to be very hard and unpleasant tasting, compared to chalk in taste and consistency. When placed in hot water, pyramids open and produce “strings” that quickly dissolve, coloring the water the same shade as the pyramid. Water had no additional taste, but testing revealed a sharp increase in mineral, carbohydrate, and protein content, with several minerals unidentified at the present time. This content was found to be consistent with the recommended daily intake of nutrients for adult humans. Researcher ingesting the water reported stomach cramps two hours later, but no other effects.
“<Unknown>” – Aluminum box with a small glass window on the side, and a large round button on the top, packaging in an unknown language. Box is seamless, and appears to be filled with small, round animals covered in fur, each with three small paws and a single large eye. Pressing the button causes the inside of the box to rapidly become super-heated, cooking the small animals alive. Muffled noises and scratching were heard for several seconds during the cooking process. After one minute, thirty seconds, the front panel opens and gives access to the now-cooked animals. Professor Kain volunteered to eat the animals, with no other researchers willing to do so. Taste described as crunchy and very spicy, with a small hint of beef.
“<Unknown>” – Tall, thin aluminum can, packaging in an unknown language. Opening the can caused a chemical reaction with the liquid inside the can. Liquid was apparently not intended for an oxygenated atmosphere, and detonated violently, causing several injuries and killing two researchers. Testing discontinued, and area cleared. Testing area observed to smell like citrus for several days.
Love how someone decided to taste all of these.

What type of minecraft player do you think some of the rockymedia characters would be? (Any series really)
(A few examples of types of Mc players are : The miner - stays in the mines most of the time and has a lot of ores and stone, Redstone contraption creator - master at using Redstone and uses it in most of their builds, The builder - Has the nicest build and almost every block resource in the game, Stays up all night playing minecraft - Always tired and sometimes gets nothing done or gets a bunch of stuff done, i can name more examples if needed :D /nf)
I feel like Ryan(any of them probably) would be the type of person to make lava traps, thats just my opinion tho, I wanna hear ur thoughts on this :3
ryan griefs {basically all of them, the difference is just the severity}
tina might do fetch quests mostly {she's also probably more so on the game completion side of things than the others}
goldy gets on every month+ but when she does, something's going to happen. either 250 peters{the flamingo} will be around the world, a walking structure, or just all of your gold is gone because she has a bit where she's the gold goblin-
ucm {i've watched his stuff mostly, he's my favorite character, of course it's going to vary.} farmer: builds and redstone, mostly builds. monster: game exploits+ friends: completionist daycare: fetch quest academy: trying to make a nice base heroes: survival player taking his time playing playground: teams up with one of the others scp: bunch of strange challenges, like collecting every mob. yandere: structure hunting/too lazy to build a base so goes off to modify one
peter, survival player that experiments.

TW: EDs, discussion of weight, discussion of starvation, discussion of BMI. Stay safe out there bestie
So reportedly, SCP-073 is 6'0 and about 165 lbs. Why does this need to be posted?
Do you know how much metal weighs? Having metal arms and legs would make the absolute lowest weight of a healthy 6'0 male AT LEAST 300 LBS.
We could say that the metal isn't all that heavy, but for it to be functional at all (And it IS) it would still need to up his healthy weight range to at least 200 lbs, probably closer to 250.
*Violently shakes kin* ARE YOU OK? DO YOU NEED A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL?
We're going to use a BMI calculator to figure this out. We'll say that he's 7'0 because to be in a healthy weight range you must be at least 225 lbs if you are 7', and we assume that eh would also need to be in that range.
That would put his BMI at 16.4. This is considered dangerously low, and while his anomalous properties do allow him to be immortal, that doesn't mean that being in a state of starvation with no chance of turning down your metabolism to keep you stable won't have consequences. Quantity of life isn't quality of life.
All I'm saying is someone should check on this magnificent bastard.

i really don’t know how to explain how much the representation in The Mechanisms means to us. there’s a character who uses it/its, multiple who use they/them. there are several lesbian relationships. when we first listened to High Noon Over Camelot, all we would talk about for days on end, repeatedly to the same people over and over again, was that there were polyamorous cowboys, there was a trans cowboy, and they weren’t treated like jokes. they were actual characters, with actual motivations, with actual personalities. we’d never before seen polyamorous main characters without the supposedly inevitable plot point of jealousy ruining things. we couldn’t stop talking about it
what really, really blew our mind though, was Nastya, an objectum trans lesbian. an objectum character with a relationship that actually gets taken seriously by the plot. her and Aurora are in love. it’s not played for laughs, it’s not done to villainize her, she’s just a woman in love with a machine and the plot allows her to be!! it still makes us tear up sometimes, thinking about her, thinking about the Aurora, thinking about how the narrative lets them really be in love without it being some running gag
it’s not just queer representation either. we don’t know if it was intentional or not, but the way we see it, all of the Mechanisms are disabled, with their mechanisms being assistive technology. and the narrative doesn’t pity them for it, nor does it treat them as inferior in any way. they’re disabled, they’re allowed to be disabled, they’re main characters and they’re disabled
both Drumbot Brian’s morality switch and the Toy Soldier’s inability to not follow orders remind us of our OCD and autism. and neither of them are shamed for these. these things aren’t just brought up once and then forgotten about, either; they both impact plot. they both impact plot but neither of them are shamed for it!!! and they’re still characters outside of these too, they’re not one-trick ponies!!! and it makes us so beyond happy to see that. and the way Ivy Alexandria’s memory works reminds us of our own dissociation and amnesia, and again, she’s not shamed for it!!!!!
we know that someday our interest in The Mechanisms will wane. nothing lasts forever. but the joy that the representation brings us won’t. we’ll always be happy about seeing a serious objectum character for the first time, about how much less alone Drumbot Brian and the Toy Soldier make us feel, about just how deeply queer The Mechanisms are

"within Armed Bio-Containment Area-14. Both cells are environmentally regulated and negatively pressurized, with walls constructed of reinforced concrete. Access to these cells is regulated by an outer decontamination chamber and inner gas-tight steel security doors. Observation windows are constructed of laminated ballistics glass 10 cm in thickness protected by a 100kV electrified mesh. Humidity is maintained at 100% at a temperature of 16° C. Specimens are monitored at all times via infrared cameras. Level Four authorization is required to access SCP-939, their containment areas, or the observation chambers.
SCP-939-101 is dismembered and stored in Cryogenic Preservation Tanks 939-101A to 939-101M within Bio-Research Area-12. Access to SCP-939-101 requires authorization by two Clearance Level 3 personnel, one of which must be present for all research and testing. The contents of only one (1) 939-101 tank may be accessed at any given time. Core temperature of SCP-939-101 tissues must be monitored while removed from cryogenic preservation; should core temperature exceed 10° C, tissues are to be returned to their corresponding tank and all testing suspended for a period of seventy-two (72) hours. Barring core temperature exceeding 10° C, research of SCP-939-101 tissues may continue as long as its ramblings and pleas for release may be tolerated.
Containment cells should be cleaned biweekly. While this takes place, SCP-939 specimens will be transferred to the adjacent cell. During this time, the cell's door and observation window must be inspected for damage and repaired or replaced accordingly.
Heavy sedation of all SCP-939 is required before any interaction, including transfer between cells and experimentation, may take place. See Document #939-TE4 for transfer and experimentation protocol.
Level C Hazmat gear is to be worn by personnel during interactions with SCP-939 specimens and in any areas which SCP-939 have been known to inhabit. Afterward, standard decontamination procedures are to be observed by all personnel involved to ensure no secondary spread of amnestic agents occurs.
Following Incident ABCA14-939-3, all non Class D personnel interacting with SCP-939 for any length of time are required to wear two (2) water-proof electronic pulse monitors for the duration of such interaction. These pulse monitors will transmit to a wireless monitoring system independent of a facility's main power grid, with at least one backup power system on standby. Should both an individual's pulse monitors flat-line or otherwise malfunction, the wearer will be presumed dead, personnel instructed to disregard all the wearer's subsequent vocalizations, and a breach of containment declared automatically. Security personnel responding to such a breach are likewise required to wear these pulse monitors.
Additionally, all live SCP-939 must be implanted with subdermal tracking devices upon capture.
Description: SCP-939 are endothermic, pack-based predators which display atrophy of various systems similar to troglobitic organisms. The skins of SCP-939 are highly permeable to moisture and translucent red, owing to a compound chemically similar to hemoglobin. SCP-939 average 2.2 meters tall standing upright and weigh an average of 250 kg, though weight is highly variable. Each of their four limbs end in three-fingered claws with a fourth, opposable digit, and are covered in setae which considerably augment climbing ability. Their heads are elongated, devoid of even vestigial eyes or eye sockets, and contain no brain casing. The jaws of SCP-939 are lined with red, faintly luminescent fang-like teeth, similar to those belonging to specimens of the genus Chauliodus, up to 6 cm in length, and encircled by heat-sensitive pit organs. Eye spots, sensitive to light and dark, run the length of their spined dorsal ridges. These spines may be up to 16 cm long and are believed to be sensitive to changes in air pressure and flow.
SCP-939 do not possess many vital organ systems; central and peripheral nervous systems, circulatory system, and d

does anyone still play scp containment breach? because i do on occasion.
and today my sister wanted to know what the sound of 250 scp-173s sounded like, since I like playing with the game seriously broken.
She did not appreciate the sound. I did- mostly because I knew what hell-scape it would sound like, so I had my sister put the headphones on and turned up the volume.
Also- here's a challenge for you folks: Try playing without god mode, the AI for 173 turned on, and with 250 neck snappers trying to give you a hug. Fair warning: You will die very quickly, very often. You will also, coincidentally, always know that there's one around the corner from you, too, regardless of the difficulty. Forget the other scps in the game, it's the statue that you'll never be away from.

A high-sensitivity low-nanoflow LC-MS configuration for high-throughput sample-limited proteomics
This study demonstrates how optimized liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) conditions combined with a 50 um internal diameter (I.D.) column operated at 100 nL/min enables high-sensitivity and high-throughput sample-limited proteomics analysis, including single-cell proteomics (SCP). Through systematic parameter evaluation, an optimized method was developed, capable of identifying ~3,000 protein groups from 250 pg of HeLa protein digest using a 10-min gradient in the direct injection workflow using data-independent acquisition (DIA) from a library-free search method. Further improvements reduced the cycle time from 20 to 14.4 min by employing a trap-and-elute workflow, permitting 100 runs/day with 70% MS utilization. A proof of principle study indicated that ca. 1,700 protein groups were identified from single-cell samples without a library for label-free quantification (LFQ). In conclusion, we demonstrate a high-sensitivity LC-MS/MS configuration that serves the needs for limited sample analysis, permitting 100 runs/day throughout. http://dlvr.it/SnC6Lh
