PSA for the SCP Fandom about Dr. Bright

It sucks that a lot of people in the SCP fandom are still making art of Dr. Bright even after the controversy. Like, people are still making fics and ships and art of him even after it came out that he’s a self-insert for a pedo. It’s disgusting to watch.

And I know some people may be ignorant to it, or not deep enough in the fandom to know, but people do need to go out of their way to educate themselves.

I’ve even seen people shipping one of the replacements for Dr. Bright (Dr. Shaw) and Bright himself together. Seeing this makes me question some people’s critical thinking skills. When I found out people were replacing Bright in their articles, I thought, “huh, I wonder why that could be?” So, naturally, I looked into it more and found out that the creator of Bright was accused of having explicit online interactions with a minor (or minors, I forget which), and using his status in the SCP community to gain favor with them and keep the interaction going. It sickens me to even think about it.

Unfortunately, a lot of members of the fandom don’t know about this. I’m attempting to bring this whole situation to light so that we don’t keep endorsing the blatantly self-insert creation of this terrible man.

This is a more serious note but I kindly ask everyone and anyone who still supports Cupinho/and or anyone that interacts with them to unfollow me and cease any interaction or contact. This is a person who has caused a lot of pain to others in the Scp Fandom and someone who has disrespected Bright users as a whole. As someone who has made it a point to stand up for Bright users as well as rewrite users this is simply something I cannot stand for.

I do not believe in blocking so please don’t take not being blocked as an invitation to interact. You know who you are.

Also I may still follow certain people who I report on here I don’t consider following to equal support and I do it simply to keep an eye on those known to cause trouble.
