While I would love to go more indepth, that would be spoilers so I can only say that a detwist is a twisted that is brought back to a state of mind similar to the one they had before being twisted (being "snapped out of it" in a sense), sorta like those redemption aus.
Twisteds are nearly exactly how they are ingame, feral and not really thinking about what they're doing at all. Some are more thinking than others, but that can only go so far.

#fantasy high#riz gukgak#kristen applebees#gorgug thistlespring#adaine abernant#fabian seacaster#figueroth faeth#the bad kids#half tempted to say these names are forum handles they use so much it pretty much became their professional names lol#I keep them teenagers bc its funnier that way#no real lore I just like drawing this. but I do think abt how theyre all weirdos too also bc thats funny to me#riz is a huge conspiracyhead who does everything by hands. he has a casio fx-570 in mint condition. nobody knows how he's maintaining it#he is nonetheless Really Good at his job. which somewhat tracks bc it's a job that requires keeping up with interstation conflicts#and new policies and an obsessive amount of planning. but he is Too Good at it. and also he dresses like that#kristen has the atomic engine that theoretically lets her unmake and remake matters with her mind. but it consumes a huge amount#of energy so it's mostly useless. she's still a cult survivor also#gorgug lives his entire life on a ship with his parents who quit a cushy deal maintaining a space station bc he wouldn't be allowed on#the low gravity let him grow very tall but also his oxygen saturation is pretty bad so he's got breathing support#fig is a robot who just found out she's a robot like two months ago. she's been assuming everyone's a robot like her and she's been feeling#very betrayed by her mom lying about that part. she's on a body mod spree which is rough bc system-specific parts are expensive#and so is adapting random parts to her system#fabian's still a pirate captain's son. can't say anything that'd be able to get the vibes across clearer than that#adaine went to tech/business school. she put her monthly allowance towards an ecoterrorist group in her academy which turned out to be an o#and she's currently wanted by UTS. more than fabian. which makes him slightly mad#she's also acquired a passion for low-tech weaponry on the way. she likes ice picks and cleavers#I think up all of this for no reason except that once again the idea of all these people being 1/teens and 2/on the same ship to be posties#is hilarious to me. esp. if they were in a forum group chat beforehand

hey hi howdy folks! sorry i've been like, kinda missing for the past...month ?? idk how long lol. i had a mini like, not-quite-quarter-life-crisis and realized that the major that i chose isn't the one for me, and i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life but i'm alright now, i'm gonna get it figured out!
anyway. more newsies posts to come probably; i have one in my brain that i gotta get typed up. gonna try to be more active on here, and try to work on the next chapter for my 92sies rewrite fic. hopefully i can have it up before the end of the month, but probably not tbh.

hey. everyone. do you remember the pandemic? remember the year and half, two years, still ongoing for many? the worldwide horrific illness with lasting effects on everyone's psyche's and a great tragic many's physical health, forever? it happened like, oh, five years ago now? remember that guys?
#i was very lucky my family was VERY luck#but i'm just thinking and having my millionth 'hey wait the pandemic fucked me up' moment#IT HAS BEEN FIVE YEARS. FIRST OF ALL. SECOND OF ALL I DON'T REMEMBER BEING 14 OR 15 OR 16.#i was a fresh 14 year old and then i was 17. i remember a few months of being obsessed with the magnus archives and other podcasts.#i don't remember playing my instrument except that i felt like i stagnated incredibly. and i did.#and now i have a new thing to be mad at because my first year in a real orchestra doesn't count because it was fucking online.#i auditioned on zoom. we just had weekly zooms. once a week play for a guy on my dad's phone. and he had to get to everyone else#so it's not like he could really help any of us that much.#and it's not worth thinking about but i'm letting myself think about it a bit what the hell. I NEVER REALIZED ANY OF THIS SHIT BEFORE.#many of the people i go to school with now had infinitely more resources than i did by virtue of going to established magnet music schools#or having musicians in the family. so while we all fucking had a rough time educationally#they had institutions and family behind them.#i'm just a little bit more mad about that. another thing to stupidly irrationally think 'that's not fair' about#it's not fair but it's not about fair and right now it doesn't matter anymore#i'm here just like them and i earned it and i earn it every day.#one day i'll figure out how to stop vaguely hating everyone just a little bit. one day i'll figure out how to be a better person.#i'm trying. but this is the first time i realized this today so i'm letting myself be a little bit mad#without hating myself for it too much#bluebird.txt#would i have felt like an untrained dog like a failure of a human being if i had gotten to have those two years of high school?#i don't think so because my parents are the way they are and somehow i am their child that is the most but also the least like them#and i don't always like it.#i don't think it would've been different. but i will never ever know.#no one will.#sorry chat i just had a huge realization about the course of my life 👍🏼

finally sent an email to my school about figuring out what i need to do to actually finish my degree (i technically only have 3 credits left) 😪 i’ve been putting it off for a long time but. it needs to be done. send thoughtz and prayerz

#like i can maybe give u robin bc she is the smartest and canonically has a degree#so making her a professor does actually make sense#but for franky brook and jinbe?#that’s just a cop out bc u think they’re ’too old for college’ or smth#esp if it’s a community college bc i know u get so many diff types of ppl there#hell i go to a fancy expensive school and i still see diff ppl#not as many but still my brain fuckin exploded#when as a freshman i assumed everyone was my age in my major#only to immediately meet a 28 yr old who had been in the military before this#or the guy around my dads age (40s-50s) in my astronomy class#and lbr i don’t think any of the strawhats are affording fancy colleges#but give me robin who has like 20+ degrees already and no one is sure what she actually does for a living#but just keeps taking more and more classes bc she likes learning#give me franky who had a rough childhood in and out of juvie after an accident with his foster father#he fell in with a rough crowd but is now trying to get his life back together#taking classes whenever he can find time in between working as a mechanic#give me brook as a retired musician who never got to go to college when he was young#bc he was busking to afford his bills and once he got discovered and became famous he didn’t have the time#but he’s retired now so he’s taking some classes at the local college bc he has the time and money now#even tho he’s like 80#give me jinbe who went into the military right after high school#but became disillusioned with the military after the death of his commander and decided to leave#and now he’s trying to get a degree and readjust to civilian life#college is so much more of a flexible setting than high school so have fun with it!!!#posts from the ocean#one piece#college au#tag rant#one piece au

When people ask me about college I usually tell them that now isn’t a good time for it but might try later. What I don’t say is that ONE SEMESTER stressed me out so much that i didn’t get my period for two or three months while I was taking classes.
but I still need a degree for good job, right? :)
