In honour of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza being lit today, I thought I'd repost the link to my Ugly Betty Christmas fan-fiction story that I wrote last year. I wish I could see the tree myself, it would be so magical!

'She Was A Snowy Day' - My husband basically describes this story as being like a corny Hallmark Christmas film. It's fun, it's schmaltzy, it's sweet, it will make you smile, and grow your heart three sizes bigger! Set in the world of Ugly Betty (season 2), with Daniel and Betty spending a day in New York, being all Christmassy together, and experiencing all the hope and magic of the season.

So, wherever you are in the world, make yourself a hot chocolate/cocoa, put on some of your favourite Christmas music (Michael Buble is always a great choice!), settle down somewhere ridiculously comfortable, open the link for the story, and enjoy!!

PS. I know I've been fairly quiet with writing new Detty fanfic stories the past few months, life has been a bit of a roller-coaster (hasn't it for us all, though?). I have SO many half finished stories (SO MANY), and my hope is to get back to writing more in the new year (I'd love to say tomorrow, but that would be wishful thinking haha). So, there will be more stories coming for you to read and enjoy, so keep an eye out. In the meantime, why don't you (re-)read some of my already published ones, and leave me a comment or a kudos? Sat together in silence, just their presence is enough for me. Relaxed, content, beside ourselves with no desire to disrupt our peace.

No negative thoughts or unsure actions or moments of spatial anxiety,

Just the bliss that comes from knowing my favourite person is right here, beside me.

Non-verbal affirmations which say "I truly and genuinely love you I don't feel this way about many people but you'd better know that it is true."

The person you are and the one that you'll be, the idea makes me so optimistic

I can't wait to see what you might have in store because nothing is unrealistic

Whether or not we'll accomplish our dreams, well, I guess that all just depends. But no matter whatever happens to either of us I hope we will always be friends.

Cheese Special

Welcome to the Cheese Special Edition with Hold Me, Touch Me (Think of Me When We're Apart) from Paul's '78 solo album. While I can't quite say whether it's a piece of fluffy cheesecake or just an incredibly thick cream curd dessert, whatever it is, it's creamy and cheesy, a downright delicate affair that's under one served with a centimeter-thick layer of honey and carried by a gentle and pleasantly warm breeze of comfort. This song could easily have been a duet with Olivia Newton-John, or the soundtrack for a cuddly montage scene with hand-holding and flirting teens in a kindhearted coming of age drama, which would be gripped by all our humanity.

And where exactly is the cheese here? This time not (only) in Paul's voice. Although he sounds like a young and pure fawn, possibly Bambi's brother, who has fallen in love for the first time in his curious and tender young existence and who, full of trust and loving responsibility, makes the most saccharine promises a young pure creature can make, the cheese is the music and the song itself, and everything it wants to be and suggest. Anyway, it's clearly good-natured and harmless cheese that wants anything but to possibly hurt someone, not even unintentionally, and would then only make its own existence unnecessarily difficult. So, let it take you by the hand with confidence, because this cheese is nothing but pure affection, and no one should speak ill of it, least of all me. Even if I only call it cream cheese with a wink, the guitar solo says that it still knows what pain and passion are.

thinking about Sam wanting to kill more NPCs in the Thordak battle again and he's right and I really want this for the upcoming Campaign 3 Malleus Key and the Ludinus fight. Like, I want all the Vox Machina and Mighty Nein PCs to make it* and while I'm not opposed to a Bells Hells death or two I don't want a TPK or anything, and admittedly I have a soft spot for Allura and Kima so Protect Them but like. there's a bunch of allies, Crown Keeper PCs, and whatever Liliana is whom I wouldn't mind seeing going out in a blaze of glory. Battles should be dangerous and lethal and something to be avoided unless there is no alternative.

*this means Vax is returned to his post-C1x115/pre-C3x51 state, as a celestial of the Raven Queen. If you feel differently that is your own schmaltzy business and belongs on your posts rather than mine.

Was kinda interesting watching Aquaman 2 do that thing Hollywood movies do where a villain barks orders in an non-English language to signal to the American audience that they're foreign and scary, except this time the actress doing it was speaking portuguese so I actually understood everything she was saying and it was just weird and abrupt. I guess they just told her to translate and say the lines in her own language but didn't direct her how to adapt the dialogue accordingly, so she ends up just telling the henchmen to pick up a guy in a very stilted formal factual manner while everything's exploding around them, that was kinda funny.
