It's kinda funny bc Lucy was already such a contentious pick and I hadn't seen a whole lot of hype or enthusiasm for her
And then IMMEDIATELY following up with a teaser for two popular returning characters means any hype the trailer did give her gets neutered because now people are just excited for the redesigns

Still working on the goretober homebrew and for some inexplicable reason Leo has been the most difficult character out of all of them. For everyone else I've gotten a title and concept, some I've even already written part of it, but Leo of all people just seems so aggressively averse to having a reference that lends itself to a plot that isn't just the most generic concept possible

One of the very irksome things about GG Overture is the lack of variety in in-battle dialogue however I choose to believe it's diegetic specifically just for Izuna bc given his personality I feel like it's in character for him to have one pun that he uses over and over again under the assumption it's still funny even though he's said it eight times in this same fight already. He's been using it on the other yokai for centuries now. They can't get him to stop.

The most difficult and annoying thing about the aquarium AU by the point isn't even the mermaids themselves it's the humans. Uniforms are the devil. How the fuck do you design a logo for an aquarium. I mean there's guys for that obviously but you hire a professional for like an actual business but this is entirely made up (by me) and exists entirely to spite me (by my own hands)

As soon as I saw that this account was a thing she was the first and only example I could think of so I had to drop everything. I mean, massive spoilers for the main series, but the fact that such a dark series filled with despair and suffering ends with a character willingly choosing to ascend to what is essentially abstract godhood to become a symbol of hope and save people that are suffering from despair entirely out of altruism and the desire to help others is poetically beautiful. Godoka is an icon. She literally shot a godlike eldritch abomination with a single arrow and it blew up. Also just her design is beautiful and iconic. All Hail Her wish to erase witches from existence (along with some timeline shenanigans) made her a magical girl so powerful she could rewrite reality and became a god. at like 14. damn She's a 14 year old who became god trough sheer will. Maybe part of it is seeing how exaggerated and cartoony the concept of a tsundere character has twisted from its origins but that was like...mild antagonism and pride? Like I know she has issues but so far the biggest issue she's had so far is being moderately rude and kinda overconfident in her skills.
Do you ever encounter a character where you go 'if this was a guy people would never shut up about how cool he is and how complex and interesting he is but since she's a girl they act like she Needs to Die' bc wow don't think I've ever seen it this blatantly before
I'm holding off on watching Asuka's introduction episode because I'm not sure if I'm prepared for another round of 'does the internet hate her because she's really That Bad or is it misogyny' especially when the subject is like one of the progenitors of that litmus test existing in the first place
