GOTT - Von Ferdinand von Schirach Unter welchen Umständen darf man einem Menschen helfen, sich das Leben zu nehmen? Muss der Staat selbstbestimmtes Sterben ermöglichen? Diesem Streitthema widmet sich GOTT, die Verfilmung des gleichnamigen Theaterstücks und Buchs von Ferdinand von Schirach. Ausgangspunkt ist die Aufhebung des Verbots der „geschäftsmäßigen" Sterbehilfe durch das Bundesverfassungsgericht vom Februar 2020. Es geht um den Fall eines 78-jährigen, kerngesunden Mannes, der sein Leben durch ein Medikament und mit Hilfe seiner Ärztin beenden will. Nach der erstmaligen Ausstrahlung konnten die TV-Zuschauer ihre Stimme online und per Telefon abgeben. An der ARD-Befragung („Abstimmung“) nahmen etwa 546.000 Zuschauer teil. Sie beantworteten die Frage: „Unter welchen Umständen darf man einem Menschen helfen, sich das Leben zu nehmen? Muss der Staat selbstbestimmtes Sterben ermöglichen? Soll Herr Gärtner das tödliche Medikament bekommen?“ zu 70,8 % mit Ja, zu 29,2 % mit Nein.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International announced for PS5, PS4, and Switch - Gematsu

Red Art Games, in cooperation with Square Enix, has announced Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International, a new edition of Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered with English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish localizations for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch. It will launch both physically and digitally in early 2025 in North America and Europe.

The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and Switch in North America, and for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch in Europe. The standard edition will be available at multiple retailers at launch, while limited and collector’s editions will be exclusive to Video Games Plus in North America and RedArtGames.com in Europe.

Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International will also be playable at Gamescom 2024, which will run from August 21 to 25 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

Wenn ich an meine Teenagerzeit zurückblicke und mich daran erinnere, wie ich mich damals im Thalia umgesehen habe und mir zum ersten Mal die Bücher von Ferdinand von Schirach ins Auge fielen, wird mir sehr warm ums Herz. Die schlichten Cover sowie die kurzen Buchtitel haben es mir angetan. Es war damals die Zeit, in der sich mein Leben drastisch veränderte und ich Zuflucht vor der Realität suchte. Seine Bücher, sein Schreibstil und sein Humor waren dankbare Begleiter und halfen mir für eine gewisse Zeit, Probleme und das Chaos in meinem Kopf beiseite zu schieben und mich schönen Dingen wie dem Lesen zuzuwenden. Mein erstes Buch, das ich mir damals von dem Autor holte, war „Kaffee und Zigaretten“, und ich zähle es bis heute, neben „Nachmittage“, „Regen“ und „Schuld“, sowie „Strafe“zu meinen allerliebsten Büchern, von ihm als Autor, als auch allgemein von den vielen Büchern, die ich in meinem bisherigen gelesen habe. Letzte Woche habe ich mir sein neuestes Buch „Sie sagt, Er sagt“ gekauft und freue mich darauf, in dieses Theaterstück einzutauchen. Ich mochte „Gott“ , dass ebenso ein Theaterstück ist sehr und bin gespannt ob mich dieses Buch ebenso begeistern wird, wie die Bücher davor :).
