Your loud gasp and snarky comment catches MIDORIYA's attention, causing him to look at you with curious eyes. Of course his love toward you makes him feel a little irritated, he's never thought of himself as someone with amazing looks and you fonding over other men isn't really helping; but now that you've caught him starring, he's got no other choice but to show interest in the matter.

"Who? Let me see"

When you smile and ask him to come have a look, he's both reluctant and eager to see this "most handsome guy of all time"; so he gets very confused as he sits next to you and looks at the screen, only to see himself starring back at him in the camera.

"Huh? That's not the-"

Then he's met with your cheeky grin.

"Oh...!"

"And he's mine"

Even god can't stop the blush spreading over his cheeks and his big smile.

i saw in the real word au post showing what all the puppets look like, Barnaby has attachment issues. was there any sort of scenario that highlighted those issues? maybe wally having to comfort barnaby due to him freaking out over it, or? love the au, by the way! i find it fascinating! <3

There’s definitely a few scenes where their relationship is discussed in universe -

Barnaby isn’t truly trustful of humans that aren’t Fionn or Peony, since others he interacted with were scared of them and tried to hurt them. Even with Fionn’s presence when they’re out and about, he keeps him close by, even pick him up if you will, to keep Wally out of harm’s way. Barnaby will also panic if Wally disappears from his or everyone’s point of view, and Fionn has to stop him from running around a store on all fours yelling Wally’s name.

Wally, however, despite how overbearing Barnaby can be in this world, knows that all of this is from the heart - Barnaby clearly loves him, his best friend, and Wally loves him too-

Barnaby sometimes stays up late on guard, keeping an eye on everyone, especially his lil buddy, and Wally will also stay up to keep him comfortable and ease his worries

I imagine Vasco and Ludovica have a big painting (portrait but with two people) in Vasco's house (probably his father insisted of getting one of these, people used to do it in the old days, especially wealthy ones). While it's very serious and formal, in the way all these portraits were, it is also very intimate (at least it's implications). I imagine Machete just staring at it sometimes, feeling small while looking at the big painting. And sad, maybe jealous but I don't think he'd resent Ludovica. He, most of all, understands.

It's a time-honoured tradition- every time Sam comes across Izzy (and Ed) in their travels, he asks Izzy to marry him. And every time, Izzy turns him down.

At this point, Sam is asking more for the sake of it than any belief Izzy will ever say yes, a remnant of childhood dedication touched with 30 years of heartbreak and regret- though even now, a small part of him still holds out hope. Sam's promises have only got more extravagant over the years, from a job as his first mate, to a captaincy, a fleet at his command, a whole fucking island if that's what Izzy wants- but he knows it isn't though, not really. If Izzy was ever going to agree to marry him, to leave his life and go with Sam, it wouldn't be for anything Sam could offer him. Izzy never did care for flashy shows of wealth, for a ship or to be captain. The only thing that ever mattered to him was loyalty given, and loyalty shown in return. 

It all comes to a head after Stede left and came back, after Izzy lost a toe, lost his leg. Sam hasn't seen him since before things with Ed started to really slide off the rails, before stress permanently set into the lines of Izzy’s face. So, when he sees a dishevelled man with a hoof for a leg in a no-name port, he doesn't even consider the idea that he might know him. It's only when he turns towards him, and Sam catches a glance at those oh too familiar tattoos, he realises this is Izzy, his Izzy, that stands before him.

Knowing Izzy's discomfort with pity, he doesn't treat him any differently than he would in years gone by, positioning himself in Izzy's line of sight before approaching and sweeping him up into a bone crushing hug. 

“Israel-goddamn-Hands!�� he exclaims, as Izzy grumbles back a begrudging “Samuel-fucking-Bellamy”, a tradition almost as old as their friendship itself. Izzy might not hug him back, but he can’t keep the corner of his mouth from twitching, just for a second.

(If Sam holds Izzy a little tighter and a little longer than usual, well. That's his business)

By the time Sam lets go, most of the crew has appeared in the town square, drawn in by the commotion. They may have given Izzy his leg and welcomed him as one of them, but still there’s an underlying tension, with nobody quite ready to set aside everything that happened before the Kraken. Seeing him cosying up to an unknown man sets everyone on edge, unsure whether to come to their first mate’s aid, or to assume that they've been betrayed once again.

When Ed sees that the yelling was Sam, his hand goes tense where it's held in Stede's. He knows the routine, has seen it more times than he can count, but as he watches them part he realises that this is the first time in a long time he's unsure of what Izzy's response will be.

Knowing that something’s different, knowing that Izzy's feeling vulnerable already, Sam doesn't go for the same flashy proposal he’s been giving for years. He doesn't promise Izzy the world, he doesn't cause a scene (or, any more of a scene than he already has, anyway). He looks at the fractured man in front of him, takes his face in his hands, and says the exact same thing to him he said when they were little more than boys. “Israel, I have to ask you. I know what you'll say, but I have to try. Come with me. Marry me and sail away with me. I'll keep you safe”

And Izzy… hesitates. He glances over at Ed, at Stede, and says to Sam “...We’re staying in port for a week. Ask me again then”

That's the moment Sam knows there is something deeply, horribly, wrong. He's not just looking at an Izzy who got seriously injured in a fight and is struggling to cope, this is something so much bigger than that- and that Ed has something to do with it. Izzy wouldn't even be considering leaving if he didn't. Whether it was negligence or something more sinister, Sam doesn't yet know, but he intends to find out.

I think it's kind of hilarious that in PJ's movies one of the main reasons why Thorin doubles down and refuses to deal with Thranduil (instead keeping the Company imprisoned for perhaps longer than necessary) is because he just has THAT much faith in Bilbo and believes he's not only still alive (which he has no proof of at this point), but that Bilbo will ALSO come back and find a way to save all of them within the relatively short amount of time they have before they miss Durin's Day

On one hand, he was right!! Bilbo DID do all of that, and it's really heartwarming that Thorin believed in him!!

But on the other, I can never think about this without also thinking about the fact that Bilbo was living in Thranduil's walls for multiple weeks (according to the book) and probably had little to eat nor ample opportunity to rest. All while Thorin could have taken Thranduil's deal and stopped it at any moment

I'm not saying that (movie) Thorin was wrong for not doing so (I probably also wouldn't trust the word of someone who tried to make a deal with me as "one king to another" while also bargaining the freedom of my family and friends, even if I didn't have a century-long grudge on top of it), but I can't imagine a reality that Thorin lives where Bilbo wouldn't have something to say about it. I don't know if he would necessarily be angry or upset at Thorin, but I think he'd at least feel some type of way about it

In fact, you did scream into the pillow for a couple of minutes, but it never seemed to be enough. you might need to go to a cliff in order to release all that rage in you because it still hadn't lessened.

your colleague (fuck you, minwoo), had misplaced an important document needed for the project you had to submit. which ended up in your department head lashing out at you.

"who the hell does he think he is!?" you scream, now beginning to pull on the ends of the cushion.

minghao sat next to you, half in concern and half in fear. in all these years you two had been together, he had never seen you like this... like you could tear apart your whole office if you could. to say he was concerned was... putting it lightly.

he gently took the cushion from your hands. he took great care of it; he couldn't even think of it being ripped apart. placing it aside, he pats you on your back a few times.

"you know what? i'll go make some tea real quick, while you take a few deeeep breaths to calm a bit dow-"

"but he's at the wrong!" you butt in.

"I know, I know," he says as he places a hand on your cheek, "lemme just make the tea and we can put on some diss tracks and talk trash about him, okay?"

even though you were seething right now, you couldn't help but smile. hao had never been one to talk bad about someone, but you know that he's ever ready to put aside his meditated mind and join you, if that means you'll feel better (and that his cushion will remain safe).

Obsessed with the idea of going clubbing while on leave with the 141.

Price claims he's only there to be the designated driver. Simon claims he's only there to keep you lot from giving Price the slip and getting into trouble, but he's standing with John and nursing his own drink. He's had several at this point, says it's the only way he can stand being in a place like this. Secretly, they're both there because they saw your skimpy little outfit and decided the club didn't sound so bad if they got to watch you move around in that. And god, can you move. They're both intently watching you dance sandwiched between Kyle and Johnny, wondering what else those hips can do. Kyle and Johnny are absolutely entranced. They've been getting closer to you with every song, and at this point, it feels like you three are in your own little world. Kyle has his hands on your rib cage while you grind back on him, Johnny's got his on your hips, and you've thrown your hands over his shoulders.

Johnny looks over to where Simon and Price are standing and notices the look on Simon's face and the fact that his drink is empty and immediately sets out a plan to get Simon to loosen up a little. He gets Kyle's attention and motions Simon over and tells him to keep their bonnie lass company while him and Kyle go get drinks for everybody. Kyle raises an eyebrow but follows him to the bar anyway. The song changes to something slower and you, in your infinite drunken wisdom, take Simon's hand and spin yourself so he's got you wrapped up in his arm with your back to his chest. Were he sober this would never fly, but he's got a good buzz and he's wanted to sink his teeth into you all night, so he puts his other hand on your hip and stands there and sways with you for a minute. Johnny, never one to miss an opportunity, promptly places a shot for you into Simon's hand, says something you can't quite make out, and heads back to the bar so him and Kyle can watch this all unfold.

Simon holds the shot up in front of you and you ask him what it is. With a smirk he says "Johnny called it a Jolly Rancher shot. Said its something fruity for our little tart". You scoff at that. You tell him you've never had one, he says he hasn't either and then does what Johnny expected him to do. Instead of letting you take the shot out of his hand, he places it at your mouth and takes a half step away from you so he can hold it while you knock it back. What Johnny didn't expect him to do was immediately bring his other hand up to your throat to keep your head tilted back so he could bend over you and lick into your mouth. Your tongues tangle briefly before he pulls away, keeping his hand on your throat. Your breath catches and he says "Johnny was right, the shot was fruity". The only thing you can focus on is Simon's tongue as he licks his lips.

Suddenly Price has his hand on your shoulder and says it's time to go. On the way back to base you lock eyes with Price in the rear view mirror and blow a kiss. You giggle when his grip on the steering wheel tightens. Kyle and Johnny both place a hand on your legs and you get the feeling that you've still got a long night ahead of you.

Ok but BUT hear me out...imagine Reader who has a permanent, massive scar on their body because of Foul Legacy for whatever reason...

Maybe it's a bite that digs deep into one of their thighs, or claw marks that go down their shoulder blade to their lower back. Reader usually keeps them hidden under clothing to avoid questions but in privacy they just show them off because even if they were painful (where they??) Reader likes them and feels it's like they're basically marked by their beloved monster moth, because let's be honest maybe just maybe Reader is a bit unhinged-- I mean, they're dating an abyssal creature, a handsome one, but an abyssal creature nevertheless.

it was an accident, how you got the scar, at the very beginning of knowing Foul Legacy. too much too quickly, Zhongli had said. now of course you both know that you were simply trying to help, reaching out to touch the anguished monster's shoulder, only for him to lash out in terror. a long wound starting from your shoulder and trailing down your chest and to the side- luckily it wasn't too deep, merely very, VERY painful- that healed into a scar that would never fade. you had to stay away from Legacy for a few days, knowing that your condition would only send him into further distress. Zhongli told you that the Abyssal beast had cried pitifully until you returned, scratching desperately at his bloodstained claws. he was careful, after that. the only wounds that came after were tiny in comparison, little nicks and punctures that came from accidentally brushing his talons over your skin a bit too fast. it's almost funny, how much he tries not to hurt you- funny, but wonderfully sweet

Legacy hates it at first, the evidence of his terrible strength. he winces every time he sees it across your skin- how could he have marred someone so perfect? but you don't mind it at all, once it heals. it's almost a symbol of your connection, of your undying love for Foul Legacy, and to you there's no shame in displaying it when you're at home, as natural as breathing. it's a part of you, after all. he tilts his head in astonishment when you admit that you like the scar, that you like the bond between the two of you. with a small huff Legacy nudges his head against your shoulder, almost embarrassed as he gently traces the mark with a single claw before delicately nibbling the tips of your fingers. perhaps it's true, that it makes you as his. and your sweet kisses and tender words mark him as yours, a maddened, Abyssal Harbinger

though, it seems you might be a little mad, too. so you shall be mad together, and what a wonderful thing that is
