Oh yeah, my sister loves "Scareyquinn" or Scarecrow/Harley, but mostly she sees it as a potentially interesting story where Harley leaves the Joker but just latches onto another strong personality in Jonathan Crane. They're both fallen psychologists, so they've got that in common, and Crane is often portrayed as being fond of her, but my sister is very committed to the fact that neither of them are actually able to help the other, and the story has to end with her going back to the Joker. (But she could have a cool Dorothy theme while she works with Crane lol)

Dorothy themed Harley would be funny. Sadly, that would never happen in modern comics because we have to pretend that Harley wouldn't let herself be dominated by a man even though that's literally her entire origin story and the basis of her identity.

Anyway, the idea of Harley trying to work with different villains is always pretty fun.  She’s such a social person, and even hard-noses like Scarecrow seem to have a soft spot for her.  

For the record, Dr. Crane was unimpressed by this costume’s lack of creepiness, as well as the latent implication that he has no brain.

Grocery Shopping Part 1

Scarecrow: Excuse me, I lost someone, may I use the mic please?

Cashier: Yes.

Scarecrow: *into mic* Harley, wherever you are, YOU ARE NOT FUCKING RENTING THE GOOSEBUMPS MOVIE AT THE REDBOX!

I don’t know if it’s just the Halloween spirit or what, but I’ve been thinking a LOT about ScareyQuinn as a ship lately. Like, wow.

So here is a list of a few of my headcanons about it because I need to vent. 

1. Jonathan and Harley worked together for a short time while she was an intern and Jonathan was one of the doctors at Arkham. (He was her mentor, in a way.) They both were making choices leading them to insanity, (Harley sneaking in to see The Joker, Jonathan conducting his experiments, ect.) Joanthan had long since found out about Harley’s secret, but had decided to keep it a secret because he didn’t want her to get fired. Plus, he wanted to see how the whole thing would play out on it’s own. But when Harley found out about his nighttime activities, he blackmailed her into keeping it secret with his own knowledge. After a while, they both trusted each other with their  secrets, knowing that if the other tried to throw them under the bus, they could always drag them with.

2. It was only a short while after Harley went full on with Joker that Jonathan was caught and declared insane. They met later in the break room of Arkham, amused at what had happened. 

3. Even while Harley remained with the Joker, Jonathan was one of her best friends. She usually turned to Poison Ivy first, but Crane was her second choice. Crane would almost always be wary of having Harley stay with him, but he never could quite make himself turn her away. He never would admit it, but having someone so happy in his normally dismal life was actually somewhat enjoyable to him.

4. Jonathan really likes his coffee dark and bitter. Harley likes it insanely sweet. Some mornings where they are both exhausted, they accidentally switch mugs, which usually results in the both of them spitting out their respective drinks like it was poison.

5. Harely and Crane both find it amusing to spend their time in Arkham discussing different psychology applications in relation to the other Rogues All non-psychologists around find it incredibly annoying.

What if Harley Quinn was Jonathan Crane’s first kiss?

We know she’s quite close to Crane, what if one day she pried a bit too far into his personal life and learned about Sherry Squires? Reluctantly, Jonathan would tell Harley about his first ever date--if you could even call it that--at the Halloween party. He told her about his crush on Sherry and how wonderful it was that she accepted his invitation over her then ex, Bo Griggs.

Jonathan described the scene in perfect detail, as thought it only happened yesterday, he even recalled the sweet smell of her perfume. Sherry had coaxed him downstairs for a special treat, but unbeknownst to Jonathan at that time, a sinister monster was lurking in the shadows. He was just about to kiss her when the beast jumped out, it was Bo Griggs dressed as the headless horsemen. Of course, Jonathan didn’t realize that until it was too late, Griggs chased him outside then lobbed his jack-o-lantern head right at Crane’s face. Everyone laughed at Jonathan’s misfortune; Sherry’s cackles where the loudest of all. He would never forget how embarrassing and degrading that experience was. Jonathan tells this all to Harley in confidence, trusting that she won’t tease him like all the other bullies in his life.

Harley was very sympathetic, upon learning that Jonathan had actually never been kissed before, she decided to rectify that issue by learning forward and gently pecking the unsuspecting Jonathan Crane right on the lips!

“Here professor, have a kiss from me!”

Jonathan immediately turns red and unsure what to do or how to feel, he sits there almost starstruck. He considered Harley to be a very close acquaintance of his, and the kiss only solidified their friendship. She cared, unlike Sherry, and she wanted to see him happy. That meant the world to Crane.

Edward: Annie huh, it's surprising you gave your daughter such a normal name.

Jonathan: Annie is just short for Annabelle, named after the Haunted Doll.
