hair is part of our appearance and kibbe does give hair recommendations for each type id. however, kibbe enthusiasts disagree on the level of importance that should be placed on hairstyle.

*I'll mention male and female examples, although, most of the discourse is factored more with (stereotypically) women's hairstyles. but it's all pretty much the same. long/short hair.

for Rs and TRs, short, soft, curled hairstyles are recommended, although longer hair that goes past the shoulders is also good if it retains a curly shape. short types are generally told to have short hair because long hair can look bogged down/too heavy. MY VERDICT: R fam definitely benefits from hair that has, at the very least, been lifted with a bit of wave or curl! but I'd say hair length is pretty irrelevant, Rs and TRs can look good with hair that goes past the shoulders (maybe not waist length?) Gamine family

gamines are explicitly recommended short hair, no longer than shoulders length. gamine recs are made for hair that is short or at least out of the way, for example, high necklines and small details. gamine 'essence' is also chic, modern, and slightly androgynous. kibbe does allow longer hair that is funky, loud and/or shaped in an interesting way. MY VERDICT: not everyone likes short hair. very few gamine female idols wear short hair on the regular. long hair can be styled (Ariana grande is good at keeping her hair out of her face to fit her gamine outfits) and I find that 'quirky' hairstyles like Seulgi's choppy bangs from 2018 create the same gamine vibe that short hair has. Classic family

classics don't have hardline recommendations aside from hairstyles that look balanced and moderate. they can be any length, but are usually middle-parted, with a slight curl. MY VERDICT: really, with k-pop hair styling, I don't think classics have much to worry about. outside of crazy hair (think vintage 2ne1) I pretty much never see hair that looks disharmonious on them. Natural family

natural hair, like clothing recs, is encouraged to be tousled, fresh, and layered. flamboyant naturals are recommended long, thick, lion's mane like hair. MY VERDICT: naturals can rock a lot of styles, especially naturals that look moderate. even short/straight hair looks good on a lot of naturals, like Jeongyeon from TWICE. although a lot of soft naturals in particular just get that extra 'oomph' from wavy hair as opposed to having having pin-straight hair. Dramatic family

dramatic family recs are divergent between pure Ds and SDs. pure dramatics are recommended to have straight or geometrically-arranged hair, any length, while soft dramatics are recommended to have hair that is shaped, 'big' and glamorous, like a blowout style. MY VERDICT: k-pop idols pretty unanimously have straight hair that is suitable for dramatic recs and with styling, can achieve a similar style to soft dramatic recs. [yeji/ITZY, zuho/sf9]

Hello, hello!! I haven’t wrote about the fam going to this lovely place yet, and I’m disappointed in myself for not thinking of it, since it’s literally my favourite store! So thanks! AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ENJOYING MY PROMPTS!

Let’s get this shit on the ROAD!

Tom & Maddie:

These two knew they had to take their boys to Spirit Halloween the second it opens. It’s a must. What kind of parents would they be if they didn’t take their children to the greatest seasonal shop on Earth?? Not parents they wanna be, that’s for sure! When they brought it up, Knuckles and Tails are confused, but Sonic is stoked! He’s seen the place and peeked in through the windows, and HE WANTS IN ON THAT! Next thing they knew, they were standing at the doors of Spirit Halloween, unsure of what shenanigans could unfold in there, because every outing with these kids is an adventure.

Knuckles:

You know those big displays they put up, where you step on a little pad on the floor, and it activates the robot? Yeah. Knuckles is responsible for so much damage because Sonic thought it would be hilarious to step on the pad so Knuckles could be jumpscared as he was walking by. In Knuckles’ point of view, this witch came outta nowhere, so naturally he took a swing at her, sending her head across the store, leaving everyone, including his poor family absolutely gobsmacked.

The employees are in too much shock to kick him out, so Knuckie is able to go on his merry way! He likes looking around at all the costumes and props! There’s so many interesting ones! The blow up one’s interest him the most, but he’s not wearing that. It’s embarrassing, and his spines will pop it before it can stir up any joy within him.

Knuckles spots an Indiana Jones costume and thinks it’s perfect to go with his new hat!!

Sonic:

You know this dude was gonna be a little shit from the moment he entered. While the result was the should be expected, but unexpected, he did get a good laugh at scaring Knuckles with that witch. He also spooked Tails with a ghost, and he was unamused, and going to get revenge. He also puts a spider on Knuckles and nearly became the Spirit in Spirit Halloween.

All these costumes, so many choices and possibilities! They’re all so cool and detailed, like the grim reaper one he’s pondering on.

And then he sees it.

The Mario wall.

It’s perfect. He is going to become Mario, and he is going to rock it. He is going to slay. He’s gonna dress Ozzy up as Yoshi, because the best boy has gotta get in on the fun too! Today was great.

Tails:

Sonic’s fate was sealed the moment he scared him. Not much scares the hedgehog, but Tails just so happens to know what gets him uneasy. Clowns. Sonic does not like clowns. So when he spots a huge one, he knows what he has to do. He lures Sonic over by getting him to talk, making him unaware of his surroundings, then points behind him. Sonic slowly turns to face the clown. He looks up at it. Yeah, hate that! Tails sloooowly reaches his foot over to press the pad, activating the clown, making it jump at Sonic, who leaps back in terror. He turns around to scold Tails, and to his horror, his little brother has donned a clown mask and scares him a second time. His quills are so puffed out, he looks ridiculous. Once he calms down, he’s able to laugh about it.

Tails then gets to look around! So many cool things! He’s drawn to the props, and he and Sonic fight with giant swords before their mother tells them to put them away. He makes it to all the ear headbands and tails, and wonders why people would want these. Then he remembers all those folk who like to dress up as animals, and chalks it up to that! He’s not looking around there anymore, it’s a little creepy seeing ears and tails that aren’t attached to anything.

Tails locates a pair of broken goggles and a lab coat and decides he’s going to be a mad scientist! There’s some alterations to be done, but this is his decision.

It was an eventful outing. Knuckles got out with a warning because he genuinely did not know about the jumpscares, so his reaction was totally believable. He did have to pay to replace it though, even though Tails asked if he could fix the head. For some reason, they didn’t take up his offer!

And That's Just A Theory--

So I was rewatching the most recent episode of Animator vs Animation and it got me thinking. There are two ways this could go, depending on the villain's motivations.

Spoiler alert for Animator Vs Animation VI Ep. 2

So depending on Victim's motivations, this could go one of two ways. For one, if it is purely revenge, I recommend Alan stay away from any VR headsets. But if it turns out Victim has figured out how to zap things in and out of the computer, then it doesn't matter. And why do I imply such a thing? I mean if AvM has anything to say about it, reversing the technology that got King Orange's brother zapped, then it could be possible. Now the VR thing? On the one hand dude would get SAO'ed. But on the other hand, and same thing if he gets zapped into the computer or Victim gets zapped out, he can finally hug the kids!

But on the other hand, and this is where I do my evil laugh and grin, Victim just wants to be as powerful as TCO and SC. And the only way he knows how is through Alan. And the implications of how he can achieve that is he threatens the color gang fam! I mean come on, all five are his kids. Which is truly evil yes, and why Victim would have a sudden interest in SC.

Either way, I don't think he just wants the mouse pointer itself. It doesn't do much, but it represents Alan. Now why doesn't he just go right to Alan since he's right there? Because I think it has to do with the fact that Victim doesn't know Alan's IP address. Why else would he go through all the trouble of trying to get TCO to talk about Alan and where he might be? Because if it's just to get out of this landscape, the internet, DL already figured that out. So I think there's more to it.

Anyways, here's my random rambling and I probably missed certain details completely. Feel free to tell me so!

Olala- The Scapegoat

The scapegoat is the child who acts out, and starts to get blamed for the families problems because they are frustrated with their situation.

She lies about seeing Galahad in the wayward east because she is frustrated that the family (mostly Caroline) is ignoring her wish to find a permanent home. All she wanted when we first met her was to be reunited with her sisters, but she’s instead been dragged on a 6 YEAR adventure, and yet is no closer to finding a home.

Ale- the lost child

The lost child gets the job done, follows the rules, flies low under the radar but ends up becoming very isolated and lonely.

Ale does exactly this- he does his job on missions (albeit with a bit of sass and complaining) , trains by himself and he is an extreme asset to the fam. However all of them don’t recognise the grief he has been feeling for loosing his loved ones in Milltown until 6 YEARS INTO THE QUEST. The grief and determination he feels also prevents him from being in a relationship with Angelo. Of course he is isolated.

Angelo- the mascot

He’s well liked and outgoing, humorous, but deep down he has extremely low self esteme- in the perils of pelinor we see how the world (or just the knights) view him as a traitor/villain. His entire worldview which centered around the goodness of the knights was completely shattered- and now he hates that he was ever a part of them. He covers up his sadness and self esteem issues with Humor.

Anyways I love Kaberts choice to do such a long time skip- though I wish there was time for some flashbacks and characters like talryn went through bigger changes. I honestly prefer the adventuring gang from SC to the Aurinkos (wow so controversial). I love how dysfunctional they are, and goes to show that maby starting a family with the main purpose is to kill a guy is probably not the best idea.

You are needed immediately to chase down Paige Bueckers and force her to take buried treasure immunity booster. #YoureSleepingWithHer.~

Texas/WVU the other day was really quite entertaining. Also Rori Harmon was on the 'Sometimes I Hoop' podcast and it was a good ep! Otherwise all I can really speak to being aware of is some Southern Cal stat padding last night (no shade, just seems to be the case). Plenty of good action ahead this week, Im excited 🙌.

So Im glad we agree, its settled then, considering it just means bad mojo for wbb couples and top team performances - the Caymans tourneys are to be avoided from here on out! Honestly Baha Mar is such a nice vibe, Im happy for all teams that ended up there. Oh and Im a bit jealous of the UConn girls getting to swim w pigs on the trip, even despite what happened to blondie. 😅😅 Fully onboard with the stray you threw there!

Yup interesting but at this point predictable (per lore) for Liz & Georgia. While it may be understandable, it makes me a bit sad for them though. Like given how much of that accomplishment/# she was a part of, its unfortunate they dont seem to be a point where they can publicly celebrate each other.

I know exactly which panel you're talking about.Never watched the full video but YouTube algorithm brought one of those Insta-story type videos to my timeline. I think the only way to handle this level of behaviour is by hoping they'd reflect on how they acted while deluding themselves into thinking they were cool and edgy.I think it is fans like these that the writers took a dig at through their writing.In 8×03,When Caroline and Bonnie went wedding dress shopping,Bonnie said "I'm honoured to be your maid of honour and not because my main competition is in a coma till I die" This is them calling out the fandom's belief that Bonnie and Caroline were Elena-substitute or replacements in every step of the way so much so that they actually believed Caroline would make Elena her maid of honour and Bonnie didn't stand a chance.And the same goes for the ~Stefan dated caroline because Nina left~ because Candice was replacing Nina.They refused (& still do) to acknowledge Caroline and Bonnie as individual characters and Candice and Kat as actors who deserved respect.And this sentiment stems from a very mean-mindedness that people are replaceable.And they do so because they think they are demeaning Caroline and Bonnie while they fail to understand that they are objectifying Elena in the process.Everyone is unique in their own way.Each of these women played a different part and they were all equally important in the story.

God algorithms are the bane of my online existence, like I started using Tumblr again because this seems to be the only site I can avoid them and search for what I want. I have seen that small snippet from that panel so many times in Google or Twitter if I search "steroline" but I had to dig for that one of Marguerite doing Liz's letter because that wasn't something to be used as a weapon against a ship. Google is the worst if I search Google the main stuff that comes up is from Reddit which is FLOODED with D*bsley shippers and one of the first things that comes up is "Do people actually like steroline" like eat a dick! This fans just pounce on anything they can use for negativity because they are still crying inside about the endgame, like people use that clip of Candice to say she doesn't like SC and prefers KC as if there's not MULTIPLE gifsets of Candice throughout the years hating that ship. Even Paul calling it forced (which is EVERYWHERE on Twitter and YouTube now) even though there's an interview he did while filming S6 calling it such a slow burn it's almost glacial.

The way the actresses have been treated by fandom for years has always been disgusting, for the most part I think that's why Kat, Candice and Nina avoided cons for so many years and they still don't attend with the frequency of the male actors because. I remember sometimes in S8 there was a video released of Kat calling some storyline garbage and a certain fandom was calling for her to be fired on Twitter with pitchforks and telling her she should be grateful for the job she has and fam THE SHOW WAS OVER! What is she gonna get fired from IT'S OVER! But Paul could drag the show and the writers constantly and it's always seen as funny and "telling it like it is" that's how deep the misogyny goes with this fandom. And I think JP & Co deserve a lot of the blame for that because they perpetuated it especially with her terrible treatment of Bonnie/Kat and the way she continues to cater to ship wars. Watching that panel she did with Carina and Marguerite talking about how much influence social media had on DE and KC being ships is just sad. I don't know if the network really influenced her a lot because they were concerned about ratings, or it was just her in general not being able to mute them but it's just like why are letting online brats influence your story that you created?

I remember when Cami was killed of on TO and then an episode or so later Davina was also killed (and her death was brutal to watch thankfully she came back) an article came out like "why are we killing so many women on TV this week" and yet they still didn't get the wake up call.
