I hate season 2 of School Bus Graveyard.

Like it’s interesting and I understand why they went towards that direction in the story buts it’s just confusing to me. I miss when the characters just had each other in the phantom realm and they actually were in the school bus graveyard. I liked it when it was silly traumatized teens trying their best to live and learning about the phantom’s weaknesses. But eventually the characters had to actually learn about how the phantom realm works due to them being in there for so long, then it’ll become repetitive and uninteresting so the hospital plot makes sense to have in the story but I just don’t like it, especially with the parents there.

!!!SBG FASTPASS SEASON FINALE SPOILERS!!!

THAT'S HOW IT ENDS?? I HAVE TO WAIT MORE TO FIND OUT WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TO MY BABIES??!!!

Ashlyn and Ben are out there on their own with no idea where the others are. Ben's leg is injured in the phantom world because Logan had to shoot him to get free of his weird counterpart and now he likely cannot walk or run for very long which is bad because the Crane Cult and the police are after them.

Taylor and Logan were captured by the Crane Cult's Headquarters. They had been so close to reuniting with Tyler and Aiden but they got drugged (AGAIN!!!) by the Cranes who beat them up because they most likely tried to resist capture.

Tyler and Aiden are trapped in the luggage compartment of a bus that's going god knows where for almost 3 hours because the asshole bus driver decided it was better to let them sit there for 3 hours rather than call them out on their bull shit.

We just found out that the infected are hosts for phantoms and they create more hosts by quite literally ripping a person's whole fucking face open and creating a rift inside their body for another phantom to take over the person's body. This is also the reason why the phantoms are after the kids and any other living thing inside the human realm.

I assume the process goes something like this.

The person is dragged into the phantom world via rifts. We still don't know much about them but they usually cause the person's human world body to be stuck in a coma-like state while their phantom world body is stuck in the phantom world 24/7. Ashlyn and the others are special cases due to whatever Ashlyn did back in Savannah.

The phantoms target that person until they can capture them and turn them into a host/infected

This gives the phantom access to the human world and allows it to create more hosts/infected

The parents + lily haven't been turned into hosts so they're stuck at the first part of the process for the time being.

Despite the kids not being infected, they have weird phantom versions of themselves that seem to be trying to take over their bodies when they accidentally shift during the day or, in Aiden and Tyler's cases, kill the human versions during their sleep.

Maverick is trying to help the phantoms take over humans and is clearly trying to cause an apocalypse for some reason.

... This is the absolute worst situation possible

there’s so much to unpack for this episode…

1. this panel is so fucking cute i love them i hope they explode the besties ever

3. since these phantom versions of themselves are using the same bodies that they use in the phantom dimension, would ben be hurt once the shift goes back to normal? like once they go back to their usual midnight routine will bens body in the phantom dimension still have a bullet wound in his leg?

4. logan being the one with common sense as per usual 😭😭 (also if someone dies because of this split up im calling it that taylor will somewhat blame herself since she suggested the idea)

5. a little birdy told me that tyler and aiden were gonna have some angst during the separation… could possibly be tyler totally breaking down because of his separation from taylor (red has confirmed they have separation anxiety) and then aiden has to awkwardly comfort him. OR it’s the other way around and tyler has to awkwardly comfort. i feel like tyler’s good at comforting but when it comes to aiden it’s a bit weird cause their relationship is more bickering than actually talking about feelings

7. i can imagine in the future whenever logan in the phantom dimension taps on aiden’s shoulder to ask him something he always gets a mini heart attack and flashbacks to that moment

GOOD! yknow why? it could mean he’s slowly leaning towards wanting to live (since he’s kinda hinted at being passively suicidal). if this happened to early season 1 aiden he definitely would’ve enjoyed it more like “oh it didn’t kill me lol kinda a let down would’ve been more fun” BUTTTTTT he’s actually afraid which means he could be afraid of dying! CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! also i’ve never seen him have that facial expression how is bro still holding that smile

I feel like she'd be really into small indie horror games. Things like Omori and Dead Plate. She'd probably play them at 2 in the morning, can of coke in hand and with the blankest expression known to man. She would definitely always have the volume off though.

A rottmnt kid if I've ever seen one. He found himself really liking Leo during his first watch which lead to him developing an obsession with characters played by Ben Schwartz. Dewey Duck? He loves him! Sonic? He has pictures of him on his walls! Ben is considering warning Ashlyn about it before she and Aiden start dating.

He's sooo underrated 🫶. Anyways, I'm not sure how canon it is, but I remember hearing that Ben has every episode of the first season of Danny Phantom memorized which I think is awesome. He'd be the type to really enjoy consuming fan content like fan animations and fan songs. His dad nicknamed him Ben 10 because of how similar the audience for both shows are.

100% an Animal Crossing fan FIGHT ME. Specifically New Horizons. He'd probably spend a long time decorating his island with flowers and other pretty things. In true sibling fashion, he made Ashlyn play with him. She spent a lot of time hitting the various villagers, but they had a good time. I can also see him having a Danganronpa phase at some point in his life, but eventually growing out of it.

DEFINITELY a pjo kid. He secretly(he told Taylor that they were dumb) took those "which cabin are you?" quizzes underneath his blanket in the middle of the night. Much to his frustration, no matter how many times he repeated the dam thing, he NEVER got Poseidon and instead got every god other than him. He would've kept going until he got him if Taylor hadn't woken up and yelled at him to go to sleep.

MARVEL GIRLIE. She burrito wraps herself and binge-watches all the movies regularly. Taylor's FIRMLY on #TeamIronMan and will argue with Tyler(he's secretly on Tony's side too, but he likes to say he's Team Cap' to piss her off) about it. sbg headcanons pt. 2!!

- aiden steals traffic cones, he has several in his room (tyler got stuck in one of those big round ones, tripped and almost rolled into traffic if it hadnt been for logan who threw himself in front of it. taylor was also in one and wanted a pic for her social media so she convinced tyler to put one on too, thats how it happened 😭)

- ben is the type to trade shirts if the girls are feeling uncomfortable, just imagine taylor in bens baggy ass shirt and ben is wearing some cute little crop top lmaooo hes to sweet

- tyler the type to sit in the weirdest places, perfectly good chair?? nah he’s sitting precariously on an open windowsill (yes he did fall out of it once and it was actually aiden who jumped out after him because he was closest)

- when ash was little she would bring home all kinds of animals, her parents would have to search her pockets everytime she came back in from outside and they’d find all kinds of frogs, harmless snakes, bugs, baby birds (she has raised several birds)

- aiden will not move until he’s chosen music for the drive, he once stepped on a nail but refused to drive to the hospital until his bluetooth connected in the car and everyone was yelling at him

- building onto the bird thing and ashlyn, she’s befriended a murder of crows and has a ton of weird little trinkets theyve brought her because she feeds them in return

- girl scout cookie season comes around and Ben is SCOPING these girls out. he wants his damn cookies and hes gonna drag you everywhere w him to find them

- dont let Tyler in the kitchen alone, and its not because he lacks skill in cooking he is just so forgetful. he’s probably exploded several microwaves because he forgot to put water in w his ramen. he has so much on his plate already that he kinda gets lost in thought while in the kitchen and may burn food every once in awhile

More SBG theory time; no fast pass spoilers, potentially 2-for-1?

Theory 1: Phantom progression w/ death

Everyone knows the theory about the group turning into phantoms due to prolonged exposure to the phabtom realm, I'd just like to add the fact that dying would, without a doubt, speed that process up. I'd like to think that with everytime a character dies, a part of themselves gets lost to the phantom dimension meaning that they could end up turning much faster that they would have intitially.

I need my angsty fics where Aiden and Tyler show concerning signs like light sensitivity and more aggression.

Theory 2: Ashlyn's presence is a gift

While I do believe Ashlyn does have a role in why the group is in the phantom dimension, I don't think it was her who dragged them into the realm. I'm pretty sure that in season one Jasmine was talking about how all the kids should have been sucked into the rift and entered a comatose state. This means that the phantom realm has an effect on people no matter who they are, which could mean that if Jasmine had grabbed some other unsuspecting group they would have entered the rift.

That brings me to my theory that Ashlyn is the reason that the group has not entered a comatosed state after the rift, or turned into phantoms yet. While we know that the group is most likely infected, symptoms of turning into a phantom, that comatose state, has not been present. This could also be why Ashlyn's parents weren't dragged into the rift when she was born, but that might be reaching.

I just like the idea that Ashlyn is in fact not the reason they are stuck in the phantom dimension, but the reason that they are still alive and, for the most part, well. Because, if that is case, she is the reason why the group could break their cycle in the phantom dimension. Give me my fic where she realizes everything is not her fault, and my life will be yours /j
