Sweet Baby, Jake knows we have a busy day ahead at the sanctuary! 😊 While there is hopefully no rain today a tree service is coming to remove a few trees where the new building is being placed. The fencing project is getting started today as well! The whole sanctuary property is getting 6ft fencing! It will be a long project but we are thrilled to start! Tomorrow rock is being delivered for support under the new building! Many preparations!!! If the rain holds off then eventually the building will be moved but the ground has to be completely dry in order for that step. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞🍀 Step by step we are getting there! Here is some video today with Hawk and he is becoming calmer with people and isn’t even in a pen. ・・・ We are planning to do xrays next Thursday but already have some pain meds on board and he seems to be getting around well. Mr. Fletch is doing so well in his Forever Foster home. He did wonderful with introductions to the other dogs. No aggression or fear. Just a happy heart! We were told he was deaf and blind but we he has been responding which is wonderful news. He does have some hearing left. We are certain he can also see some shadows. His tail just never stops wagging. You would have no idea he is 13 with his upbeat energy. We bought him a brand new comfy bed! His first bed in his entire lifetime and boy does he love it! We are so thrilled to see the joy Fletch has and his resilient spirit. He has been through such abuse and neglect. He beat being put to sleep and is still so full of hope. Fletch is doing wonderful in his temporary foster! He is staying in North Carolina until mid March. Then our transport will bring him to us! He has learned that he now lives inside, there are such things as snuggly blankies, and that he deserves love. The nightly report I get is that he is so incredibly happy. After, being dumped to be euthanized he now has a new life already better than he has ever known! He has an extrmely loving personality. All in all just a goofy happy guy! He knows he was saved and we are so happy! Sweet girl has been having a rough time with her back legs. She has now been receiving her Adequan Injections for almost a month. It has to build up in their system. A series of shots are given then the maintenace is once a month. Last night you could tell the injections just started to take effect. Daisy Doodle is an 11 yr old Great Dane. She has been falling lately and not able to lift herself up in her hind legs. She takes other arthritis medicines but this gives the seniors an extra boost when they are extremely painful and weak. Her spirits were a bit lifted yesterday and it is wonderful to see. She is an extremely tall Dane. We are doing everything we can to keep her comfortable and mobile. The shots are very expensive and many of our seniors are on Adequan. Please donate towards Daisy's medical fund. We never want them to go without. Daisy is the largest teddy bear you will ever meet. She sleeps in bed with me and she will not go to sleep unless you share your covers! We are thankful that we still have her. We lost her sister Kenna the other month and she was 9.
