Did you know: If you have a pacemaker, you can put it in your Will to have your pacemaker donated to a dog in need after you pass. Pacemakers cannot be donated to another human, but they can be donated to dogs with cardiac issues who would depend on it to stay alive.

You can have the pacemaker brought to a vet of your choice. So many of those get thrown away and dogs die because people don't know they can do this. It even saves the dog's owner the cost of the actual pacemaker which sometimes means the difference in being able to afford lifesaving treatment or not.

Meet Romeo;

Romeo’s life almost ended far too soon. This gentle 2-year-old Pitbull mix, with his soft tan fur and soulful hazel eyes, was on the euthanasia list at the shelter, simply because there wasn’t enough space. He’s a beautiful, loving soul who, through no fault of his own, almost became another tragic statistic.

Thanks to a compassionate foster and our team at Infinite Hearts Dog Sanctuary, Romeo was given a second chance just in time. But the road to recovery for him is going to be a long one. The shelter environment was hard on him—he developed painful dermatitis, which causes constant itching and discomfort. His paws are red and sore from excessive licking, a coping mechanism he developed while trying to soothe himself in that stressful environment. Now that he’s safe with us, we’re committed to helping him heal, but he needs specialized care, and we can’t do it without you.

Romeo requires medications to treat his dermatitis and relieve the irritation on his paws. He’ll also need specialized vet visits, skin care, and nutritional support to help him regain his health. Every donation helps us get him the treatment he desperately needs and allows him to feel comforted, loved, and safe for perhaps the first time in his life.

But our sanctuary is small, and we rely on the incredible generosity of supporters to make this kind of care possible. We’ve set up a GoFundMe to help cover Romeo’s medical expenses. Every donation, no matter how small, goes directly toward Romeo’s care and his journey to finding a forever home.

Imagine what it’s like for a dog who’s only known stress and fear to suddenly experience love and security. That’s what we want for Romeo. We want him to know what it feels like to be part of a family, to feel the joy of play without pain, and to sleep peacefully, knowing he’s safe. He deserves a future filled with comfort, health, and happiness, and we can make that happen together.

Anche lei è stata reclusa nella perrera di Mazarrón per almeno di 6 mesi e per lei è stata particolarmente dura. Φίλες και φίλοι, δυστυχώς (η ευτυχώς) αυτό είναι ένα ακόμη ποστ, με πανέμορφα κουτάβια που ψάχνουν σπίτι. Δυστυχώς, γιατί ο συνεχώς αυξανόμενος αριθμός αυτών των αναρτήσεων δείχνουν το μέγεθος του προβλήματος, ευτυχώς, γιατί η συγκάτοικος μου θα μπορούσε να είχε προσπεράσει την περίεργη μάζα στον δρόμο, και να μην είχε σώσει τις τρεις πανέμορφες σκυλίτσες που κάποιος πέταξε σε έναν κάδο, διότι απότι φαίνεται δεν είναι αρκετό να εγκαταλείψεις τα νεογέννητα κουτάβια πρέπει να βεβαιωθείς ότι θα πεθάνουν.

Να όμως που αυτές εδώ οι κούκλες επέζησαν παρά τα προγνωστικά, είναι πλέον 1,5 μηνός, αποπαρασιτωμένες, παιχνιδιάρες και έτοιμες να δώσουν χαρά σε όποιον τις πάρει. Η αγγελία αφορά Θεσσαλονίκη και γύρω περιοχες και φυσικά, δε μας ενδιαφέρει απλά να δώσουμε τα κουτάβια, αλλά να τα δώσουμε κάπου που θα λάβουν αγάπη.

The face of a Happy rescue pup! #bayzuul is doing so well with her siblings, she is spoiled rotten, has pj's and a bed shaped like a Christmas tree, she barks, and runs so fast. Why you need a dog

Personally I think everyone who can take care of a dog needs a dog. They are so sweet and the best addition to a family. I have 7 so I might be a little biased. 

1. They are adorable- Why not have a cute little puppy running around your house, and following you everywhere.

2. They will always be there for you- Whether you realize it or not to your dog you are its entire world. You are all they know, and they will love you their entire life. 

3. You can save their life- There are so many dogs that need a home, and I strongly believe in adopting. Adopt don't shop. Saving a dog might be the best thing you ever did, I know the dog will be so happy.
