Two snippets from Paper Rings & Broken Hearts upcoming 2nd chapter - SasuHinaKaka fic
Snippet #1
As he stepped closer, a figure leaving the house caught his attention. Kakashi. The older man had a book in one hand, his other stuffed casually into his pocket.
“Kakashi,” Sasuke said, raising an eyebrow. “What are you doing here?”
Kakashi paused, tilting his head slightly. “Visiting,” he said simply, offering no further explanation. “What about you? Staying or leaving?”
Staying,” Sasuke said shortly, though he was still thrown by Kakashi’s presence. “Why were you here?”
Kakashi waved him off, walking past him without a care. “Just visiting,” he repeated. “Enjoy your evening.”
Sasuke watched him go, confusion settling in his chest. With a shake of his head, he turned back to the house and stepped inside.
Snippet #2
His gaze lingered on her for a moment before he broke the silence. “Why was Kakashi here?”
Hinata barely glanced at him. “Just visiting,” she said, her tone detached as she rinsed a cup.
The vagueness annoyed him. “Why?” he pressed, his voice sharper now.
“Why does it matter?” Hinata asked without looking at him.
Sasuke frowned, taking a step closer. He didn’t like how dismissive she was being, especially with her back turned to him. “I’m asking a question,” he said firmly. He reached out and turned off the faucet, forcing her to stop mid-rinse. “Answer me.”
Hinata turned to face him, her eyes meeting his. He noticed, for the first time, the redness around the rim of her eyes. She had been crying. His irritation faltered slightly, but he pressed his lips into a thin line. “Why was Kakashi here?”
“He was just visiting,” Hinata said, her voice soft. She stepped back, drying her hands with a towel. “Why are you here? To grab clothes before you leave again?”
Sasuke stiffened. He didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of being right. “No,” he said shortly. “I’m staying. For the night.”
Despite Sasuke’s outward indifference to his marriage with Hinata, it’s obvious he isn’t pleased that both Kakashi and Hinata are dodging his questions about why Kakashi was at their house. 🤭 Update will be this upcoming Saturday! (2/8/25)

Bouquet for you always - SasuHina Month Day 14
So inspired by a prompt I saw about a performer always being surprised with flowers by the SO after each performance and my idea for a Naruto Tokyo Mew Mew AU based involving Hinata and Sasuke in the same orchestra, we get this. Maybe one day I'll actually write that au.
“Bouquets” | “Ramos de flores”
“Enjoying a story together” | “Disfrutando de una historia juntos”
“Come on!” Sasuke demanded, dragging his brother through the crowd. The Junior Symphony Orchestra - Wind Division had just finished their concert, rounding out the separate divisions before the big final concert with the whole Symphony. The amount of people who came to see the Wind Division should have scared Sasuke with the thought of what the crowd will be coming the final concert, but he didn’t care. Right now, the only that mattered was a certain flute player. He finally spotted the familiar white bow with a strip of black through it he remembered when he saw her earlier. “Hinata! Itachi, hurry up!”
“Stop tugging me.” his older brother scolded, still following his younger brother, bowing his head to the adults with Hinata, the eldest of the Hyuuga daughters. Hanabi seemed to already be over everything, sitting on the floor, ignoring orders to get up.
“Hi Sasuke.” Hinata’s shy smile seemed brighter at the sight of the young Uchiha. She clutched her flute’s case tightly, much like Sasuke would hold onto his violin case in crowds.
“You were really good. I was able to pick you out from the rest of them. You’ll get first chair by next season, I know it.”
Her face got red. “I hope so.”
“I have something for you!” he turned, tugging on his brother’s shirt despite Itachi following the conversation. He was going to need a lecture about not pulling on clothes. He handed the flowers over, watching Sasuke turn and hold them out for Hinata. The boy had made them spend a near hour in the flower shop choosing the perfect bouquet.
“They’re so pretty!” uncharacteristically shoving her case to her father, she accepted the flowers, the size near dwarfing her face, but the smile was pretty much bigger.
“My mom said performers always need flowers after a show. So, I’ll always get you flowers. Promise.”
Itachi sighed. Great, more hours at the flower shop. But Hinata’s excited smile made it worth it.
_____________
“Hang on.” Sasuke called to Sakura and Naruto as he spotted a flower shop. He ducked inside, nodding to the shop associate, who stayed behind the desk checking something over on a clipboard. He ignored the sound of the bell ringing as he walked through the store, hoping something would catch his eye.
“Since when were you interested in flowers?” Naruto asked, looking over his shoulder. Sakura was nearby trying not to eavesdrop. It was taking her a while to still get over him romantically but he hoped she’d get over it soon. He hated being so awkward and overly careful with his words towards one of his closest friends.
“I need a bouquet for my performance tomorrow.”
“You’re pre-buying flowers for yourself?”
Sasuke rolled his eyes. “They’re not for me. It’s for someone else. I won’t have time to get them tomorrow, we’re in rehearsal for hours before the performance.”
He’d gotten so many flowers over the years for each performance, he felt like he'd given her every flower possible.
“Girls don’t want flowers. They want bread.”
Sakura scoffed as Sasuke glared at him. “Where on earth did you hear that? There aren’t many bread products I’d want more than flowers.”
“Besides, I already got her a box of cinnamon buns in place of flowers one time. She liked them but she also shared them with everyone.”
“Oh,” Naruto said, smirking, “so it’s those type of flowers.”
Sakura shoved him away, shooing him off. “Go somewhere else! Disappear.” she turned to Sasuke, who was already tensing for the uncomfortable questions. His feelings for Hinata existed way before he met Sakura, just because he hadn’t acted on them didn’t mean they weren’t real. “Get that look off your face. I’m over you.”
She wasn’t yet but he wasn’t about to insult her by telling her that.
“You should get her something that says how much she’s on your mind. Be it an obvious sign or something more subtle. I’d actually like it if someone got me something with Sakura branches, since they’re so hard to get out of season.”
Hinata’s name meant sunny place and he always thought she was like sunshine whenever she smiled. He’d avoided sunflowers since they died quickly but it fit her. He spotted lavender and made his decision. He turned to Sakura, who like he thought, looked uncomfortable.
“Thanks.”
“She had better love this.”
At least she still cared about his happiness, even if it wasn’t with her.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come?”
“No. I have the tickets to the Red Data Animal exhibit. It’s going on most of the day. Just…good luck.”
_____________________
“What was his problem?” Ino wondered, dropping herself onto Hinata’s bed. The girls had invited themself over to Hinata’s after she offered Sakura to borrow a dress for her team dinner date with Naruto. They had arrived just as Hinata’s cousin and near brother Neji was leaving. He had his gaze focused in his book, barely saying a word to Hinata other than asking her to move out of the way.
“It doesn’t matter.” Hinata said, picking up a remote and hitting a button, watching the other’s jaws drop as a set of doors slid open and revelled a walk-in closet. “Choose whichever one you want.”
“Holy crap! This place is bigger than my apartment!” Ino cried, getting up and leading Sakura and TenTen inside. Cinna, her Shiba Inu, slipped inside and followed the noise, causing TenTen to cry in glee and beg for her attention. She watched her friends look at the clothes, Sakura paying attention to the dresses until she pulled a pink Silke dress down.
“Would this be appropriate?”
“I wore that to a restaurant opening. The owner’s wife complimented me on it. As long as it’s not too short, I think it’s fine. Take it with you and try it on. If it’s too big, you can text me and I can bring something else.” Hinata promised.
“Thank you!” Sakura slipped it off the hanger, draping the dress over her arm and putting the hanger back when she spotted something.
Shadowboxes, full of dried bouquets. There were dates and names on them and it took a moment to realize why the names looked familiar. They were orchestra pieces.
“Did you do these?” everyone gathered at the wall that was nearly completely full of the shadowboxes. “Were these for the performances you did with the Symphony Orchestra?”
“Yeah. I got a bouquet after every performance since Juniors.”
“Damn, your parents love you.” Ino said, staring up at all them.
“Oh, no. My parents didn’t give these to me. My…um, well we’re not dating but only because our families are being picky about it. But we perform together. He plays violin First Chair.”
“Is he cute?” Ino asked.
“He has said he wants to date you right? You know guys who aren’t committed will use any excuse.” TenTen warned.
But she didn’t need to worry, Sakura knew that for sure, staring at a familiar looking bouquet of sunflowers and lavender, the next one after being lavender and burgundy roses. She didn’t know meanings, but she knew roses. Sasuke was very committed and the minute his family stopped digging their heels about it - or in all honesty he stopped waiting for their permission - everyone would know how he felt.

Guys. Sasuhina is literally Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter. Forbidden Romance AU? Corporate Romance? Academic rivals turned lovers? "I promise 'em you're different and everyone makes mistakes" UGH. This could be Naruhina too. It could be Shikahina too. Just a very Hinata song.

SH Month - Day 15 - "Take My Hand, Take My Whole Life Too"
This drawing was inspired by and created for @pianocoat's SH Month 2024 fanfic "Boldly! He Chased Her" (on FanFiction.net and Archive of Our Own). It is also a "thank you" to Pianosama for gifting me with another amazing Hinata romance for my birthday a few months ago titled "Little Things Make Big Things" (available on Archive of Our Own).
Special shoutout to @kiljoius (fellow fanfic author- check her out) and 'Katrin' (fellow SH lover) for helping me iron out some of the details. The book cover will be posted separately. 💜
This might be my only contribution this year, but thank you to all the artists, writers, and supporters for participating and keeping our ship alive! Happy SasuHina Month Everyone!!

Kawaki and sumire outfit colours are again matching just like sasuhina the purple duo being mc's rival and lover.
Right now sarada parallels with narusaku and sasukarin dynamic with boruto. And its literally giving all shipbatting vibes from kishimoto.
As he also said that he wanted hinata to be civilan before creating plot but he is doing that woth sumire. Borusumi wins forever.
Yeah at this rate it BoruSumi is looking more and more likely with how it parallels with canon ships.
I like the bit where Hinata was meant to be a civilian while Sumire is someone who moved into research rather then doing ninja missions matching up.

Posting chapter 1 of Tsuki fanfic. 18 chapters are already out in case you want to read more.
Tsuki 🌙
Anime » Naruto Rated: M, English, Hurt/Comfort & Angst, Sasuke U., Hinata Hyuuga
Chapter 1
Artist credit (follow them on twitter): https://mobile.twitter.com/dhjs_0010

A/N: This story is post-war, canon-divergent. Angst and trauma are major themes but if you'd stick around, you'd get a whiff of love as well. [SasuHina]
Hinata sat in the back garden with her eyes on the ground. The sun was lifting his head over her horizon but she chose to concentrate at the dew-covered ground under which rare saplings slept in the soil, twinkling like stars under her Byakugan.
After war, even when Naruto was safe, she didn't let go of her training. She might have started out with a purpose, but training came naturally to her now. The idea of purpose did not matter and even though, the purpose was the jewel of her heart, her training transcended beyond thoughts and emotions. With some more time and effort, her Byakagun sharpened to realize that even trees had souls. Is this how her ancestor felt? The ill-fated Kaguya.
But these trees were nothing like the husk of ten-tails. They had no violence. By looking at their nature energy, the bare minuscule that she could muster to visualize, she felt that she belonged. A little less alien on the planet, she found amidst war, which was never originally hers. Her thoughts had turned less chaotic the day she had found out about this truth. It felt like uncovering a forgotten memory...deep down, she always felt that the planet was not her original home. But she easily suppressed such thoughts. What good would come out of them?
She got up, straightened her gardening skirt, and lifted her head to look at the sun--the effect was immediate. Her face bloomed like sunflowers would bloom against the sunshine. In that moment, she felt grateful to be alive--filled with humility, root of her essence.
At the cottage's entrance, she took off her slippers and noiselessly slipped into the kitchen. For Kurenai, it was as difficult as an upper rank mission to fall asleep these days, and it made Hinata worry. With little Mirai on Kurenai's hands, it was already a struggle to set a sleeping schedule to begin with. Having a child as a shinobi was not an easy business, Hinata noted to herself. But being a shinobi does grant mental and physical agility against the challenges of of parenthood (single parenthood in this case).
Hinata took a steaming cup of tea to Kurenai's bedroom and stole a minute to admire the heart-warming scene. Mirai slept peacefully in her mother's arms. Her mother, asleep as herself, cradled Mirai's head to restrain restless movements brought on by unknown dreams that the child was incapable of articulating just yet. Observing this scene in secrecy, something tugged at Hinata's heart and like a child, she too found herself incapable of articulating the feeling that filled her with gratitude. Warmth climbed up her face and she felt her heart burst with joy.
After moving to a secluded cottage, two weeks away from Konoha, Hinata had never felt so free. But more so, she felt that she belonged. Of course, it was not a vacation for any of them. They would not have left behind Konoha if they could help it. But Naruto, who was now the Hokage, had decreed all genjutsu masters to go into hiding. For Kurenai, one of the elite shinobis of the village, the summons were personal. She was advised to take a squad of jonin along but Kurenai being Kurenai, refused such indulgence. Yet since it was Hokage's order, she couldn't shun it altogether and requested Hinata's able company for guardianship.
Shikamaru didn't want to hear the end of it. He would accompany Mirai and her mother to the end of the world. That was his promise. But on Naruto's compliance to Kurenai's suggestion, he had to give in.
Hinata felt a tinge of pride in her sensei's choice but also took the responsibility very seriously. The danger to Kurenai's life was no joke. In the fourth shinobi war, for the first time, all hidden villages and capitals, even the commoners, encountered the chakra-art, and not just any chakra-art, a Tsukuyomi: the most powerful genjutsu in existence. It was potent and addictive, not just for commoners but also for the surviving shinobis. Especially for the surviving shinobis. Those who were dealing with the very grief of surviving against the sea of the dead. After Madara's Tsukuyomi was lifted, a rude awakening had immediately followed.
As people fell off trees like fruits, there were cries across the planet as if millions of toddlers were broken from their sleep. The wailing was gut-wrenching. While the elite shinobis of higher ranks managed to withstand the genjutsu's after-effects, they were barely a minority. The rest of the masses wanted to return to the dream where their dead loved ones waited for them for an embrace.
Different villages took different approaches to solve this dream-hunger. In Hidden Cloud Village, as moon effigies popped up in the corners of the village, the Raikage ordered imprisonment for anyone carrying such contrabands and symbols of delusions. He would literally destroy the moon if he had to, he had confessed to his brother. In the Hidden Mist Village, on the other hand, they would produce confusion tactics to quiten the rebels from propagating their ideology. But when that didn't last, ANBU level ninjas hunted these moon rebels and attacked their underground tunnels with a fog filled with numbing agents, quite literally smoking the rats out. Even the peace-loving Sand, under the benevolent guardianship of Gaara, understood the violence of such moves with sorrow. Grief tugged at Gaara's heart when he had to entomb the rebels to cease the spread of madness, he himself grew up with. In a strange reversed situation, Gaara recognized the familiar madness in the villager's eyes, a madness that had been his friend since childhood. He knew, if left uncontrolled, it will infect everyone. Madara's dream might just posthumously come true.
But the situation plummeted after Konoha's move. In a meeting with the Konoha council, Kakashi found himself staring blankly in the fire. Daimyo's strange suggestion of re-installing a small-scale genjutsu for Konoha. His reasoning came at a striking period of time when Kakashi was about to transfer his power to Naruto, and so neither Kakashi nor Naruto had enough political power to counter Daimyo's suggestion. Daimyo's reasoning had been: "If we give people what they want, it will help them wean off better. Like little babes with mother's milk."
For this purpose, Kurenai was brought to the center stage. Kurenai warned about the consequences of such a plan. A genjutsu erases lines between dualities. Reality and unreality. But given the political pressure, she decided to install a day long genjutsu for Konoha's shinobi and villagers. Those who wanted to sit out, could, and even those who partook in it, should have a safe window to return from their dreams. But just as the clock was about to strike the day over, Kurenai found Damiyo's own bodyguard, mercilessly killing off her fellow genjutsu users who had helped her cast a village-wide genjutsu. The plan had been to kill the genjutsu-casters so that the key is lost with the lock. Reading the mad logic that lead to such a disastrous situation, Kurenai knocked the bodyguard down and immediately released the genjutsu, albeit faster than she had intended. After which, she requested Kakashi to send ANBU to settle the situation in the village. She knew that the waking would bring a terrible uproar because of sudden unwinding of the jutsu.
But now that the genjutsu was released, the rebels wanted her alive. Or anyone like her. The news soon spread like fire to the other villages and as a result, many genjutsu users had to go into hiding. The whole incidence had left a sour taste in Kurenai's mouth, and as much as she hated for Mirai to grow up in a place which was not Konoha, she was relieved to be free of prying eyes.
And Hinata was an angel. She put down the cup of tea on Kurenai's bedside table and found her Sensei's sharp shinobi senses stir to her noiseless movements.
"Good morning...how was your sleep?"
"It was much better", Kurenai smiled in assurance. But Hinata could always read between the lines.
It was time for their morning training, and so, Hinata gave Kurenai some space to freshen up and meet her in the garden. Hinata missed training with Neji. But she knew he had bigger responsibilities-duties, she had once envisioned for herself. But with time, she had realized that she was never cut out for it. The compound full of men did nothing to ease her own self-expectations and self-hatred. Perhaps, underneath it all, she still wanted to prove something to them. With these thoughts, chaos returned to her and she gave a solid palm to the heavily bruised bark that took beating from her every day.
It had been two months since they fled Konoha and found a refuge in a cottage uphill. The weather was cooler at this side and soothed her senses. Since leaving, they had not encountered any danger. Hinata found it jarring. She was afraid that she would fall victim to this long-standing peace which was addictive in its own sense. Like a knife, ironic to her own gentle nature, she sharpened herself every day to prevent a mishap that may result from an addiction to comfort.
Donning her own training gear, Kurenai slowly walked near Hinata's side and admired her taijutsu command. Realizing the presence behind her, Hinata looked back at the shimmering pools of ruby eyes and clenched her fist. A solid blow knocked the woman straight into the fence.
"You are not Kurenai," Hinata awakened her Byakugan.

A Marriage of Convenience

The art does not belong to me. All credits go to @cyantasim for the beautiful work.
Chapter 1
The silence was almost deafening.
She felt everyone’s stares on her as she was presented the cup to drink Saké from. The same cup which had just touched her husband’s lips.
Her eyes were covered by the veil of her own hair. She clenched her jaw and took the cup. She sipped the sake like it was Poison. It burned as it went down her throat.
The burning lessened the buzzing in her ear. It made her realize she was getting married. The numb feeling she’d had since the morning started to lessen. She took another sip even though she was not supposed to and handed the cup back to whoever would hold it.
Her eyes burnt with unshed tears. She would not cry. Not now. Not ever. “I now pronounce you both officially married.”
The priest started to recite a long prayer for the well being of them both and for a long lasting and loving marriage between them. She wanted to laugh at that.
That was not possible. Never.
She had not heard her husband say a word since yesterday, when he had curtly informed her about the arrangements and she’d nodded.
She did not care. At all. This might as well be her funeral. She cast a hateful glance at her father, who seemed perfectly content hiding his emotions behind that mask as always.
The prayer was over and they were both made to stand up. The traditional wedding kimono was heavy and uncomfortable; although all her friends had told her she looked beautiful.
Not like it mattered. She was sure her husband had not even noticed how she looked. Not that she expected him to.
This was merely a marriage of convenience for them both. Or more accurately, for him and her father. She breathed in sharply, expelling all the thoughts as she felt herself being walked to the carriage, which would take her to her new home.
Her father came closer to her, saying a traditional prayer of happiness for her before stepping away. Her sister hugged her, tears in her eyes. She did not know how Hinata felt. She was genuinely happy for her sister.
Neji hugged her last, his expression knowing and ice cold. He knew what was happening and he knew he would lose his cousin. His grip was tight on her shoulders and she felt a childish desire to curl up and hide with him.
But he could not protect her from what her fate was, could he? She sat in the carriage and felt it moving. She cast one last withering look to her former home.
Or her former prison. Since every breath in there had been suffocating. All the damn time.
The walk was silent. The carriage was set down when she reached her destination. Her husband came to stand next to her.
She did not look at him. Instead, choosing to look at the magnificent building in front of her. The giant gates and the lush green, albeit deserted garden inside. The infrastructure which had once housed a group of strong and determined individuals.
The Uchiha compounds.
Her new home.
Her new prison.
As if hearing her thoughts, her husband smirked cruelly, his hand on her lower back as he led her inside. The gates closed heavily behind them and Hinata’s eyes burned again.
The buzzing in her ears began anew and her body began going numb again. But the merciful darkness did not take hold of her like it used to when she was younger.
No.
She’d become stronger. Now, she would endure whatever was in front of her. Because perhaps, she was fated.
To be surrounded by monsters.
To become one herself.
She only wondered, how long would it take?
