It's a lot of the lyrics and the overall the mood of the album. It starts with "Terrible Love": I see Sam when I hear "And I can't fall asleep/Without a little help/It takes a while to settle down my shivered bones/Until the panic's out" and "It's quiet company/It's a terrible love" always makes me think of Sam in love but in a weird in between space with Cas. Maybe almost-unrequited. Same for "Sorrow": "Sorrow found me when I was young" and "I don't wanna get over you"

"Anyone's Ghost" always makes me want to write Sastiel post-Dean's death in season 15. Cas comes back from the Empty. Sam knows about the confession and thinks Cas is only with him as a sort of living replacement for Dean.

Some of the lyrics are pretty straightforward ("Didn't wanna be anyone's ghost/But I don't want anybody else") and with others its more the vibe that makes me think of Sam and Cas, like "You said I came close as anyone's come to live underwater for more than a month" & "There's a radiant darkness upon us but I don't want you to worry"

The album is just so atmospheric and fitting for me. It's melancholic, there's tension and longing, fucked up thoughts and some weird vague sexual themes... It just all fits a lot of my Sastiel feelings.

hello sastiel nation. i’m writing a fic

It's Sastiel Saturday (for real this time) and I am currently completly taken with the idea of Sam and Cas watching Jeoparody together.

Like Sam being a little nerd and growing up in crap motel rooms where game show reruns were the only thing on he's ends up Jeopardy whiz. Also he's got a not so secret competitive streak so I know he's demolishing trivia night at all those bars they frequent.

And so Sam introduces it to Cas as a fun way to learn about human culture and the angel kinda loves it. He and Sam take turns answering the really obscure categories (Sam gets every single one in the American Landmarks category bc he and Dean made it a mission to visit every dumb kitschy tourist trap on the road especially when they were kids. Cas has a knack for the Latin poetry category and they both surprisingly do very well on pre 15 century art.)

They start watching other game shows together like Cash Cab or Wheel of Fortune or Price is Right (Cas is horrible at that one but he gets better. Sam even teasingly tests him when they go on supply runs, taking an item off the shelf and coving the price tag asking Cas to guess. It always makes them smile.)

It's really silly and perhaps not befitting of their station but come on; Alex Trebek is a national treasure and Sam and Cas owe him.
