'The Dry Salt Lake' (2024), ceramic, magnets, deep-sea sediment, 54.75 x 43.5 x 6.75 in
"Sarah Conti grew up in a family of birders, so perhaps it’s only natural that birds feature heavily in her work. What’s more, she prefers to sculpt her subjects to scale, like these foot-tall Black-necked Stilts... The sculpture’s pieces fit together like a puzzle, a nod to the fracturing landscape [of the Great Salt Lake]... 'People who want to just look at beautiful birds struggle with how many dead birds I sculpt,' [Sarah] says. 'I’m sculpting them as a cry for help.'" —Text by Jessica McKenzie, photos by Deborah Hardee for Audubon Magazine

Grand Prix de France Review
Men:
Adam Siao Him Fa (France) Total Score 246 - In this chaotic men’s even Adam got 8th in the short and 1st in the free program. I did not like his gangster short program, and maybe Ilia was right with the fake hoodie, cause the real hoodie was not the move. I really liked the Dune program tho, but I feel like lying on the ice and pretending to die is cheating. Also, having a backflip in both programs scares me so badly. Hopefully he will be able to put down two clean programs in China. #TheComebackKing.
Koshiro Shimada (Japan) Total Score 233.84 - Koshiro got 5th in the short and 3rd in the free. I’m glad he was able to put down a better performance than he did at Skate America! His Shawn Mendes short is not my fav but I really like his free. He’s truly an excellent performer. Unfortunately, it’s very unlikely we’ll see him at the Grand Prix final despite him getting a silver medal due to him only getting 6th at Skate America.
Andrew Torgashev (USA) Total Score 233.65 - 4th in the short and 4th in the free. Some unusual consistency for the pizza king. I’m glad he was able to survive this event and earn his first Grand Prix medal! He will be replacing Stephen Gogolev in the NHK trophy this upcoming weekend due to a last minute withdrawal. Since the men’s field is looking pretty wide open besides Yuma and Kao, we might see him back on the podium. We’ll see how we handles the last minute back to back competitions.
Mikhail Shaidorov (Kazakhstan) Total Score 231.86 - 6th in the short and 5th in the free. He did the 3A4T!!!! And nobody noticed cause he rotated it so damn fast. He probably has my favorite Dune costume. His technical elements are amazing, so I would love to see him work on his PCS. Moonlight Sonata into Take on Me was definitely a choice, but I was feeling it. He said he was working on another super secret combo, so I’m looking forward to seeing it in the future.
Kazuki Tomono (Japan) Total Score 231.48- 3rd in the short and 6th in the free. Even though he only did a 4S2T in the short, he was in the top 3 cause everyone else was flopping but he just couldn’t hold on during the free. In the free he had a bit of a rough start but he got it together in the end. I appreciate him for not having boring tops. He committed to the bit. I guess he was injured which I was not aware of (as twitter has pointed out, a lot of people at this event were injured/recovering from injuries).
Nikolaj Memola (Italy) Total Score 227.10 - 10th in the free and 2nd in the short (lol). I’m not going to talk about the short cause I’m trying to erase it from my memory. But his free OMGGGGG. He was moving quite slow, but it was beautiful. And he did the 4Lz!??!? He was emoting and gave us a gorgeous Ina Bauer. I would love to see him pick up his speed, but I guess he was injured during the off season, so I’ll let it slide for now. I think Mark said he was 6’5??? - which is literally insane.
Aleksandr Selevko (Estonia) Total Score 266.11 - 2nd in the short, 7th in the free. I just found out that he was dating a 15 year old girl which is literally disgusting so I’m not going to talk about him.
Boyang Jin (China) Total Score 219.05 - 1st in the short, 11th in the free :(((( Some serious menning occurred here. Really enjoyed the short, but why on earth is he skating to Boston in the free?????? It does not fit him at all. It was a joy seeing him in first after the short, but man was that short program rough. Hopefully he can put down a better performance in front of his home crowd when he competes in the Cup of China.
Lukas Britschgi (Switzerland) Total Score 212.94 - 7th in the short, 9th in the free. Very cool that he incorporated sign language into his short program (I know that Benoit is mad he didn’t think of it first). And in his free we were traveling through space and time I guess. I def liked the vibes of his free so hopefully he can put down a better performance at Finlandia.
Luc Economides (France) Total Score 205.55 - 9th in the short, and 8 in the free. Unfortunately having back to back programs was not kind to him. Although he earned 2nd at the Cranberry cup, the Grand Prix series was not very kind to him. I really do like his Interstellar free program tho. He also has the scariest axis on his 3A that I’ve ever seen.
Camden Pulkinen (USA) Total Score 193.6 - 11th in the short, and 12th in the free. He graduated college which is good, but instead of focusing on figure skating he got a finance job in NYC???? I feel like he should be choosing one or the other but I’m not in charge of his life. It’s just getting slightly frustrating to watch him. Here’s hoping he’ll have a comeback at Finlandia.
Francois Pitot (France) Total Score 183.17 - 12th in the short, 10th in the free. I do not like the half-jacket costume he has in the short, especially since it just kinda flaps around. He had a pretty had fall on his 4S in the short and it looked like he may have hurt his shoulder. He’s doing a Matrix free program, but it doesn’t sound like it’s from The Matrix but IDK. He got 11th at Skate America and last place here, so it’s been a tad rough for him, so I hope he gets some rest.
Women:
Amber Glenn (USA) Total Score 210.44 - 1st in the short, 3rd in the free. 3A in the short let’s go!!!!! She put her hand down on the 3A in the free was it was no biggie. I know she had a lot of trouble with consistency last season but I really think that this season is her season. So excited to see her at the Cup of China!
Wakaba Higuchi (Japan) Total Score 206.08 - 3rd in the short, 1st in the free. Grand Prix Final LETS GO!!!!!!!!!! I’m digging the Dune short, but I just wish that the free was just Running Up That Hill, because the second half of the program just works so much better than the first half. Improved her score from Skate America by almost 10 points!
Rion Sumiyoshi (Japan) Total Score 201.35 - 5th in the short, 2nd in the free. Beautiful costumes. Did the 4T in the free was it was UR and two-footed but it’s okies. Her jumps are so well woven into her choreography. I think this was her third time getting third at this event lol, so at least she’s staying consistent.
Chaeyeon Kim (South Korea) Total Score 199.99 - 2nd in the short, 5th in the free. I LOVE the Tron short program, but she only got a level 2 for her step sequence so we need to work on that. I think she was a little nervous going into the free program, because there was not a lot of emoting going on. It’s a shame she went down on the 3Lz3T. I really like her tho, and I think she’s quickly becoming one of my favs.
Sarah Everhardt (USA) Total Score 196.94 - 4th in the short, 4th in the free. I loved her spins. The short program was good, i just wish that she held her ending pose a little longer lol. She looked a little tired during the free and it kinda seemed like she was just going through the motions, and she didn’t have enough energy to match her music. But it was a very good Grand Prix debut!
Nina Pinzarrone (Belgium) Total Score 184.67 - 6th in the short, 6th in the free. The short program is a little weird. Like what do you mean she’s a young woman going to the theater to see swan lake? Why would we be so angsty to see swan lake?? Tell me Benoit?!?! And then in the free she’s drowning because her boat sank but the voiceover is from the Handmaid’s Tale. IDK she didn’t beat her score from Skate America and she has trouble with the 3Lz3T combo in the short but she does it pretty well in the free.
Mai Mihara (Japan) Total Score 174.93 - 7th in the short, 8th in the free. She is literally the human embodiment of sunshine. When she landed her 3Lz3T in the short her smile could’ve been seen from space. In the free there was very little going on between the jumps and she did struggle a bit, but she is still recovering from her injury.
Anastasiia Gubanova (Georgia) Total Score 173.32 - 9th in the short, 7th in the free. What’s up with the angsty ABBA cover for the short??? I did not like and I felt like she was just standing around on the ice too much. She saved most of her combos for the second half in the free and I don’t think that was the move for her. She’s just very inconsistent in general.
Livia Kaiser (Switzerland) Total Score 168.27 - 8th in the short, 9th in the free. Got a level 2 on her step sequence in both the short and the free and had some trouble with her spins in both programs as well. I liked her short a lot better than her free, because it was very moody and she does give good attitude.
Lorine Schild (France) Total Score 164.32 - 10th in the short, 10th in the free. Had a rough short program but did better in the free. I thought her costume was very pretty and the program built up nicely toward the end.
Lea Serna (France) Total Score 160.91 - 11th in the short, 11th in the free. Beat her score from Skate America by almost 10 points so heck yeah! For some reason I don’t have a lot of notes for her free so IDK. Sorry Lea.
Clemence Mayindu (France) Total Score 121.34 - 12th in the short, 12th in the free. This was her first senior Grand Prix event so I know this baby girl must have been nervous but boy did she have the crowd on her side! Had trouble with her technical elements and needed more ice coverage.
Pairs:
Minerva Fabienne Hase / Nikita Volodin (Germany) Total Score 211.69 - 1st in the short, 1st in the free. I liked the free a lot better than the short. Their 3Tw is great and the throw 3Lo is also pretty solid.
Sara Conti / Niccolo Macii (Italy) Total Score 203.39 - 2nd in the short, 2nd in the free. Crazy start and end pose lol, I wished they held their end pose for a little longer but I think that’s starting to be a pet peeve of mine. He went down in the SBS 3S in the free but that was their only boo boo.
Rebecca Ghilardi (Italy) / Filippo Ambrosini (Italy) Total Score 176.62 - 6th in the short, 3rd in the free. I’m not quite sure how their short is a program about violence against women but I’m a sucker for Moulin Rouge. I didn’t watch their free program because I think I was still recovering from the men’s event but I will get on it ASAP.
Dance:
Evgeniia Lopareva / Geoffrey Brissaud (France) Total Score 195.27 - 2nd in the short, 1st in the free. Listen they have found their niche because they do weird well. They’re both so expressive and have great musicality and the Rasputin short program is iconic.
Charlene Guignard / Marco Fabbri (Italy) Total Score 189.08 - 1st in the short, 5th in the free. Ketchup and Mustard in the short, and robots in the free. TBH i was vibing with the robots during the first half of the program but they lost me in the second half. He had a fall on the twizzles which is a no-no.
Emily Bratti / Ian Somerville (USA) Toal Score 185.88 - 4th in the short, 2nd in the free. I do not vibe with the short. IDK I just can’t take it seriously lol. And unfortunately I think the free is a little boring. However they both serve so much face (especially him) and I’m happy that they were able to make a comeback after their disappointing outcome at Skate Canada.
This whole competition was so chaotic but we made it out alive and that’s all that matters. RIP my fantasy figure skating picks tho. Coming up next is the NKH Trophy!!!

i met sarah in the bathroom
Based off of this song by awfultune.
In honor of reaching 300 followers!!
Warnings :smut ,fingering , public sex ,cunnilingus ,'friends' to lovers.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes, english isn't my first language!!
She met you at a party, you were holding a blunt in your left hand while your right hand sported your phone .
You had your braids up in a half up half down style using a colourful Walmart claw clip, wearing a long black dress that fitted your body perfectly, with your sunglasses resting perfectly on you head .
By your side was your bag that carried about fifteen Keychains, which, amazingly, suited your personality.
You were playful, kind, a little mean when you wanted to be . Leah couldn't help but feel a pull towards you, with the piercing that littered your ears and those small tattoos that went around your arms and back.
So, she sat next you.
Then the cycle repeated.
Leah would always find you at parties, it was like you shared a mind when I came to parties, whether it was a friends' party or a pub, you were always there dancing the night away, smoking a cig or a blunt, and then Leah would come up to you and start a conversation.
Each time you talked to know more and more about each other.
Like, you now know that Leah was a gymnast as a child, and Leah knew that you actually wear glasses, something that nobody knew.
You shared secrets, tried new things, you even convinced Leah to smoke a blunt with you.
The flame was undeniably there, ignited and ready to be blown, the flirting , the stolen looks and the secret touches.
It was a night where Leah and her team went to a random pub to celebrate their win in the conti cup that something finally occurred.
She was two drinks deep in her celebration when she spotted you in the swirl of people, your hair was out as you were dancing with whom Leah recognized to be your friend, lisha.
She walked over to you with confidence, asking lisha to hand you over to her .
Lisha happily complied, twirling you over into Leah's arms which immediately roamed over your body.
From your upper body to your hips and waist down to your bum. Her hands on your body felt like she was worshipping you .
"Hey, y/n? " Leah said once you sat down. Your body was basically on top of hers as you reapplied your lip gloss.
"What? "
"You know I really like hanging out with you. " Leah confessed as her cheeks flushed crimson red, Leah thought it wasn't visible due to the flashing lights of the club but with you staring at her like she was the only person in the world.
"I really like hanging out with you too, Lee" you said
"I think I really wanna kiss ya" Leah was sure that it was the alcohol that was talking by now.
You paused as you heard her say those words. "Wait, really? " it was like you couldn't believe what she was saying.
"Yeah but I don't want to scare you, darling. "
Next thing Leah knew, you had grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to the bathroom.
You closed the stall door and pushed Leah against it as you smashed your lips against hers.
Your tongues were at a fight for dominance , which Leah eventually won making you let out a muffled moan into Leah's mouth as her hand teased you through your underwear. "Is this a good idea? "
"Please, baby. " you muttered under your breath, and that, for Leah, was the final straw .
She pushed your panties to the side and let her fingers stroke a few times along your soaking pussy, teasingly letting her fingers slip in a few times , not enough to give you the pleasure you wanted but enough for you to let out a small whine as Leah's mouth drifted from you jaw to your neck, leaving scattered marks around .
Leah's hand drifted up slightly to play with your sensitive bud, making you let out a loud moan which led to Leah wrapping her other hand around your mouth just as a group of girls entered the bathroom.
Annoyingly, that was the moment Leah decided to slip inside of your soaking heat. You tried to suppress your loud moans, but failed as you felt Leah pumping her two fingers in and out of you.
Your loud noises were cut off by Leah kissing you hard.
"Come on, love, just a little more . " Leah couldn't help but moan at the sight of you, sighing in relief as you le juices spilled put onto her hand. "Good girl. " you let out a moan at her words
The football player seductively brought her hand up to her mouth and pushed her digets into her own mouth and sucked, the action making you let out a moan, she then kissed you , giving you a taste of yourself "you see how good you taste darling? " you simply nodded in response, still in a haze
"Words darling. "
"Yes , baby. ", you said in response, slowly dropping down to your knees in front of Leah as you muttered the words, " my turn. "
You looked up at Leah, " can I take these off?" you asked giving her your signature doe eyes that you knew she couldn't say no too.
"Please." She pleaded.
And so, you took off her trousers to be met face to face with her very wet underwear.
You slowly pulled down her panties and immediately dived into Leah like a starved woman , grabbing Leah's this game and hoisting them up to you shoulders as you ate her out.
Your tongue ran over her heat multiple times before zeroing in on her clit, licking and sucking as you wanted to, Leah's moan that were echoing through the empty bathroom only spurring you on.
Your tongue eventually made its way to Leah's entrance and pushed it in. Leah moans as the sensation of you inside her as you nose hit her clit perfectly was pleasuring enough for Leah to come with a loud moan that you were sure was heard by the people outside as you hummed into her pussy.
Leah pushed you away, pulled her pants up, and gave you a small peck before grabbing your arms in the same way that you grabbed hers about 30 minutes ago and pulling out of the stall "you're coming home with me. "

Title: Broken Souls (Part 2).
Character(s): Joel Miller, Reader (female, second person POV) Summary: Will you have the strength to talk to him again? Word Count: 2,046 Author's Note: Wow! I certainly wasn’t expecting quite a few people wanting a second part to this story... But ask and you shall receive. If you’ve read my previous stories (Negan-focused), you’ll know that I love writing angst. Joel is a very oblivious, in denial jerk in this btw. Anyway, please leave comments (it really does help!) and thank you again for reading💖 Warning: Angst. A lot of it.
“Was that–” Joel whispered, pulling away from his brother.
“That was.”
“Is she–”
“How about I give you a tour of Jackson before we even talk about that?” There was a slight bit of annoyance in Tommy’s voice that Joel picked up on and before he could even address it, he heard Ellie’s voice calling out to him.
“Yeah, that’d be nice,” Joel mumbled.
Joel kept his eyes on your retreating figure. His main concern was Ellie and getting her to the Fireflies, but it was at that moment that he just wanted to go after you, talk to you, fully see you again after all these years. All he could remember was the feeling of heartbreak and pain when you left ten years ago; he never thought you would leave his side, but then again, he had no one else to blame but him.
He was distracted. Joel was tuning Tommy out, but he couldn’t hide the fact that there was a bit of jealousy bubbling within him. Not only because he was safe and in the comfort of a community that resembled the old world, but because he had you.
Joel couldn’t believe it. This place, this community. If only he could just stay here forever. With you.
You stumbled into your home, vision blurred and chest beginning to tighten. You couldn’t catch your breath. You couldn’t focus. All you could see was him. All you could feel was the pain you felt the night you left him. Even after ten years, it came rushing back like it happened only yesterday.
And damn him. Damn him for still looking so good.
You held onto the edge of your kitchen sink, trying so hard to focus. Your body felt like it was on fire and your mind was only showing you memories of him, of Sarah. The grip you had on your kitchen sink tightened, knuckles turning white before you grabbed the cup you filled with water and tossed it across the room.
The shattering of the glass brought you back to reality. You stared down at your feet, chest heaving rapidly as you slowly tried to calm down.
Damn him for looking at you the way he did.
You weren’t sure what he was doing here, who that young girl was, but you told yourself to wait it out in the comfort of your own home. Surely, Tommy wouldn’t tell him where you lived. Would he?
You were broken out of your reverie when you heard a knock on your door. You didn’t want to answer it, didn’t want to see who it was on the other side of it.
But then you heard her voice.
Maria.
You breathed a sigh of relief, wiping your tears away before you slowly walked to the door. Opening it, you saw the other woman and the younger girl that Joel was with. She was looking around, almost as if she was on alert.
“Hey,” Maria said. “Can we come in?”
“Y– Yeah, sure.” You replied, opening the door and letting the two come in. They glanced over at the broken glass. Maria gave you a look. Ellie, on the other hand, well, she was very blunt.
“You throwing shit around?”
Your brow arched. “Sorry?”
“Broken glass,” she pointed out.
“Ah,” you cleared your throat. “Something like that, yeah.”
Ellie walked around your living room, looking around as you and Maria stayed near the front door.
“Listen, I know–”
“What the hell is Joel doing here?” You whispered. It had been so long since you said his name and all the memories, good and bad, tried to force its way to the forefront of your mind.
“You know Joel?” Ellie said, interrupting a very private conversation.
“Um, a bit. Through Tommy, you know.” You lied.
Ellie narrowed her eyes, shrugged her shoulders, then continued to look around.
“I have something to tend to, but can you please look after her?”
“What?”
“Just help her get cleaned up, get her a more fitting coat for the weather, and–”
“And then you want me to bring her to Joel.”
Maria sighed. “No. I’ll be back by then.”
“You better be sure, Maria. I don’t– Seeing him–” You sighed, shaking your head. “It’s just a lot.”
Maria nodded in understanding. She knew all about your relationship with Joel, not bothering to hide the fact that she understood both sides: yours and his.
“I know, I’ll be back soon.” Maria then turned to Ellie. “Ellie, she’s gonna look after you for a bit. Help you get freshened up and–”
“Sure, got it,” Ellie interrupted, saluting the other woman.
When Maria left, you immediately went to clean up your mess. You could hear Ellie’s footsteps around your home, trying to keep your emotions at bay.
“So, how do you know Joel?” Ellie asked, following you into the kitchen.
“Like I said, through Tommy and–”
“Bullshit,” she said. “How do you know him?”
You sighed. “We knew each other, from before.”
“Oh shit! Really?” Ellie chuckled. “How come you just left when you saw him then?”
“We have history. Now, enough of the questions. Maria wants you to get cleaned up. Bathroom is upstairs. Take your time. I have to go and find you a more fitting coat.”
Ellie furrowed a brow, noticing the way you bit your lower lip and how you wouldn’t meet her eyes. The young girl knew exactly what happened between you and Joel and she didn’t want to pry even further. “Okay,” was all Ellie replied before she ascended the stairs.
Once you heard the door shut, you let out a heavy sigh and leaned against the counter of the kitchen.
This really wasn’t the way you were planning to spend your day off.
—
Tommy and Joel were in an empty bar. Joel looked around and let a small smile line his lips, shaking his head.
“Can’t believe it.”
“What?”
“All this time, I was worried you were dead and here you are… Got alcohol, got bacon.”
“Joel–”
“I’m happy for you.” Joel said, downing his drink. “Really, I am.”
“Why does it seem like there’s a but in that?”
“How long has she been here?” Joel blurted.
“Here we go.”
“What?”
“You ain’t a saint, Joel. You hurt her and I don’t think she’s ever been the same since,” Tommy replied.
“That was ten years ago,” Joel whispered. “There ain’t no way–”
“That woman loved you, Joel. Even after all this time, you still can’t see that?” Tommy sighed. “We were all there that night, but you– You acted like it only affected you.”
“She was my daughter,” Joel spat.
“We know!” Tommy exclaimed. “But she was my niece. I took her to school every morning when you had early morning shifts. She went over to her home everyday after school when you were working late.” Tommy let out a heavy sigh, his eyes softening. “You ain’t the only one that lost Sarah, Joel.”
“I just–” Joel sighed. “She was better off without me.”
“Are you crazy?” Tommy replied. “That woman would have done anything for you. Hell, I think she still would and here you are, still saying the same shit you said ten years ago.”
“I’m not a good man, Tommy.”
“No one’s good anymore, Joel.”
Joel let out a grunt and stood from his seat, looking around the bar. “She’s safer here.”
“But she’s happier with you.”
—
Later that night, you walked over to Tommy’s house. You were feeling so many emotions all at once and you needed to talk to him, to hear him reassure you that your feelings are valid, but when you barged in, you noticed Joel, Tommy, Ellie, and Maria in the living room.
Instantly, you felt embarrassed. Tommy noticed the look on your face and immediately stood up to walk over to you, closing the door behind you and bringing you down the hall. He sent Maria a look who gave him a single nod.
Once inside the guest room, Tommy shut the door and looked at you, eyes softening.
“Okay, let it out.”
Instantly, you sat at the edge of the bed and cried. Tears wouldn’t stop flowing and you felt your chest tightening once again. All you could think about was Joel, about Sarah, about how broken you still were.
When you felt Tommy sit next to you and his arm wrap around your shoulders, you leaned against him and cried even more. You wished you could say this was cathartic, letting out all of the emotions you kept bottled in, but instead, it was the opposite. It was terrifying and you wanted it to stop.
You wanted the pain to stop.
“W– Why is here?” You whispered, wiping your eyes and looking up at him.
Tommy didn’t get a chance to reply before the door opened and Joel walked in, quietly and carefully.
“Are you okay?” Joel asked.
Tommy gave Joel a glance. Was his older brother that oblivious? He then looked to you, whispering if you wanted him to give you and Joel some space. You nodded and Tommy stood from the bed, walking towards the door. He grasped his brother’s shoulder and whispered, “Careful what you say, Joel. Good luck.”
When Tommy left, Joel cleared his throat and walked over to you.
“You’re crying, darlin’–”
“Am I okay?!” You said, standing from the bed and walking to him. “No, I am not okay! Y– You just come here, ten years later, and you ask me if I’m okay?”
Joel opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it immediately. He wanted to pull you into his arms, wipe your tears away, and tell you that he was here, he wasn’t going anywhere anymore, but he couldn’t. You were better off without him.
“I gave you my heart, Joel…” you whispered, looking up at him with so much pain in your eyes. “And you broke it. I have been broken ever since I left and–”
“That was your decision.”
Your brows lifted, mouth slightly open and you gently pushed him. How dare he.
“Are you serious?”
Joel didn’t respond.
“I couldn’t take the loneliness anymore,” you continued. “I may have physically left, but you— you were already gone.”
“I was just survivin’ the only way I know how…”
“And what about me!?” You yelled. “Did it ever occur to you that I was hurting too? That you weren’t the only one whose life stopped? I needed you!”
“I didn’t force you to leave…” Joel mumbled.
“I stuck by you for ten years, Joel… For ten years after Sarah, I was there! And you– You didn’t even notice. What makes you think that I would have stayed for another ten like that?”
“You wanted to leave and I wasn’t going to stop you!”
“Should I have pretended to be happy? To be okay with how things were? I was fucking miserable, Joel!”
Joel nodded, his jaw tightening. “So you left.”
Tears fell from your eyes, trickled down your cheek as you stared up at him. “All I wanted was you… Why was that so hard to understand? Why is it, that after all this time, it stills feels like my fault for leaving?”
“You did what you needed to do,” Joel replied. “Ain’t no one putting the blame on you, but you.”
You scoffed. Your heart was breaking all over again.
“You broke me, Joel… Do you even know how difficult it was for me to make that decision? And even after all this time, it’s one where I constantly think if I made the right one?”
“And is it?” Joel asked. “The right decision?”
Instead of answering that question, you replied, “Why did you let me go? Why couldn’t– Why couldn’t you have just asked me to stay?”
Joel cleared his throat. He didn’t have the answer to that. He wanted to tell you that it was one of his biggest regrets, not being able to just tell you to stay.
“And I am tired, Joel. So tired of loving you, of feeling this pain. I don’t want to hurt anymore. I don’t want to love you anymore…”
“Then don’t.” Joel replied, turning on his heel and leaving the room with the door slamming shut.

For actresses, dying onstage commonly meant dying pathetically and prettily. To that end, many women performers availed themselves of a time-tested assortment of gestures, postures, vocalities, costumes, and cosmetics in order to aestheticize the deaths of their characters.

Un ballo d'evasione con i Back to Billy
"Do It Like Sarah" ci ricorda che abbiamo il potere di scegliere come affrontarla.
Do It Like Sarah in uscita il 26 luglio 2024 su tutte le piattaforme streaming e digital stores, confluirà poi nell’EP “My Rolling Stone” che uscirà a settembre 2024.

BACK TO BILLY - BIOGRAFIA

👎🏻
