It seems like a recurring thing throughout my life that I discover years later that a movie I saw got a TV show/cartoon that had been running all that time (or that started decades later).

It feels out of character for John and Sarah Connor that the minute Cameron told them she wasn't programmed to follow their orders they didn't immediately bug the fuck out of there and leave her in the dust. Working with a terminator who you can just order not to use lethal force is one thing, but working with a terminator that's free to kill at its own discretion is actually insane. There's literally a scene where a pair of cops accost Cameron and she instantly gets the murder/death/kill mode look in her eyes when they threaten to call it in and Sarah sees this and has to quickly step in to de-escalate and all I could think was that Sarah obviously can't be there 24/7. The next time this happens, some totally innocent person is going to get their lungs ripped out and it'll be on the Connors' heads.

Me :

So essentially my John & Cameron (Jameron) ship was doomed. No because Alison may have served as a model, but she is not the Cameron character that we know and to whom we have become attached in reality. She didn't experience everything Cameron experienced with John. All the development from before therefore does not exist. That she has the same face doesn't change anything ! It's not Cameron, who learned to develop tons and tons of emotions and with whom John fell in love despite her being a machine ! Basically, you're telling me that he's going to go for a human who looks the same ? Wow. What a great romance... It's a fictif futuristic universe, don't make me believe that we couldn't have found a solution to the robot & human relationship... By having John go with what served as Cameron's role model, it makes his relationship with her quite superficial. Plus, that was the charm of this romance, the impossible side between a human and a machine, and yet the machine learns to be human ! There, what would be like this between John and Allison ? Nothing. Because she's a human. The dilemmas that were in the relationship with Cameron will no longer exist. Because once again, it won't be the same person. Just the same face.

12 monkeys (tv) is also amazing. A plague ends the world….. also time travel. Very good ending that wraps up nicely.

Sarah Connor chronicles- takes place after the first 2 terminator movies. So good. Does end on a cliff hanger but still amazing watch.

Stargate SG1/Atlantis- 15 years of classic sci fi. You’ll laugh you’ll cry you’ll Kelno-reem.

Something I find kinda jarring about this here 21st century is that the average person with an internet connection and an ounce of pirating know-how has access to more movies and tv shows than anyone has ever had in the history of forever and yet there are still people trying to argue that the screenwriter strike is bad because it means we might experience a temporary lack of new television
