Eida knows Sarada & Sumire are immune to her abilities.

Whats weird to me is that Eida just doesn't further question that Sarada & Sumire are acting so normal, like I would have never bought Sumire's excuse. NO SHOT!

I think Eida is protecting those two from her clingy little brother.

She has stated before that she wants to have actual friends, but probably knows Daemon would try to kill them potentially if he figures it out (that part isn't so much stated but it's the way he's looking at Sarada & Sumire when he's considering they may not be affected).

He's overprotective, clingy, & overpowered; a terrible combination for her to be around in this case where she would like some actual friends. He's also very eager to fight people!

She 100% went along with Sumire's bullshit excuse to keep those two safe from her brother. She literally pauses for a moment before agreeing with them!

We'll see how good the excuse is when the official translation is out, but I think Eida's playing along so she can have actual friends around her. She knows whats actually going on here, she isn't a fool.

While i understand that kakashi’s eye being replaced is like a story representation of new beginnings, i’m still upset about it being replaced

Cuz Kakashi has two very significant disabilities throughout the naruto series, and in one big move Kishi took away nothing of them

His chronic exhaustion/chakra leak (via the removal of the sharingan)

And his visual disability in being handle to use one of his eyes 90% of the time or risk worsening the first disability to such a dangerous level that it could kill him.

The least he could have done was give Kakashi reduced vision and a need for glasses, but i guess in the fandom that makes fun of sarada for needing glasses that would just be used as another reason to tear Kakashi down 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

So i’ll stick with my forever belief that Naruto didn’t magically replace Kakashi’s eye and he has to adjust to still being blind in one eye (since it’s gone) without the constant drain on his chakra

I'm going to have a hard time saying anything about this one, it was super boring! The Byakugan plot line goes exactly where you think it would from last episode; and the Kagemasa fight was clunkily animated and choreographed, and pretty underwhelming.

The highlight of this episode was probably seeing that Boruto's family is close with the Hyuga, though that won't really come up much later. It's nice to see Naruto and Hiashi on good terms, even if I wish we'd gotten to see how that happened a bit more.

Sarada also got a little bit of screentime and a bit of a character beyond Boruto's catty nemesis, but her time was brief and underwhelming. She could have been traded out for just about anyone and very little would have changed in the story. It was probably just to call back the Fuma Shuriken plan from when Naruto and Sasuke did it in the Land of Waves Arc, and it was not worth it.

If you have to watch this, watch the Hanabi vs Boruto fight and then skip on everything else. Despite having a cool episode name, it was definitely not worth watching again.

I passed my exam and can finally show you what I've been working on!!!! 🥺🥺🥺 I drew sprites, backgrounds and interface for a visual novel called "The Black Night" based on my own setting.

The plot revolves around a pair of detectives who arrive in the city to investigate mysterious disappearances according to the classics associated with an unknown cult that is trying to summon the Outer God to this world. Here are the main characters:

Felt is the main character and a junior detective, young and purposeful, it is on his behalf that the player follows the plot. Dreyfus is his mentor and is not very willing to participate in the investigation, as he considers it a dead-end case, but later changes his mind. Mavro is a classic aristocratic bureaucrat who, despite his connections with the Congregation, does not look religious. He slows down the investigation in every possible way, oversees the detectives and has his own secrets, the disclosure of which should affect the further development of the plot ;)

REVELATION, folks. We were discussing Touhou character designs in a group chat and I brought up that Kana's apparently inspired by/visually referenced from Salada from Loop★Sarada (by Takemoto Izumi, naturally), who looks like this

And the two people I was talking to were like. It just looks like ZUN coloured the wrong parts blue but just went with it. And that kinda checks out! Here's a mock-up of Kana with a Salada-like apron compared to her normal portrait.

It really looks like ZUN either accidentally filled in the wrong colours and liked how it turned out or intentionally tried to mix things up. I wish I knew what he was thinking. Ghhh... But at least now I understand that her dress is not nearly as lovecraftian as I thought. What a heartwarming ending.

By the way, @dungeontoaster also pointed out that Kana's gloved hand is likely just weirdly drawn folds on her apron, which opens a whole new can of worms. I certainly believe that. Like, look at the full portrait.

That certainly looks like a ZUN-drawn fold rather than a hand. Just compare it to the one opposite to it. Her gauge attack sprite also has no glove if you squint.

And, well, she's gloveless in her ending image as well. But she's not wearing a hat either, so it's not much of an indication.

CONCLUSION! As charming as ZUN's early art is. He really makes it hard for you if you want to be pedantic about outfits.

i really doubt sasuke was there when sarada was born bc if he was he WOULD have remembered his daughter i mean sharingan is protographic and he would’ve sensed her chakra, saying he threatened her bc of mini shin is such a insult to his visual feats

What? Sasuke was there for the birth of his child Anon, and nothing ever said or even remotely indicated otherwise.

Firstly, nowhere does it say that the Sharingan is photographic, it copies jutsu with near perfect accuracy, but that is not the same as giving the user a photographic memory.

Secondly, how would that have even helped? Do you honestly think that Sarada looked the same as an 11 year old as she did when she was a new-born baby or something?

Thirdly, the Sharingan doesn't grant the user any sensory capabilities. Therefore, Sasuke can't sense and recognise regular people's chakra signatures to that degree.

Nowhere have I insulted Sasuke's visual feats, but you sure as hell have overinflated them by giving him abilities that he doesn't have.

As he launches another shuriken at the same dart, Mitsuki said, "I understand where Shikadai is coming from. Before my parents became infamous criminals in this village, they were a Shinobi. nevertheless, they betrayed the town because people viewed Power as a measure of authority and dominance.

“I don’t mind anyway. I am me, They were they. My parent’s past has nothing to do with me.”

"On the contrary, Lady Tenten.." Mitsuki said before hurling another kunai. "In this day and age, might isn't everything. The hamlet is united by the love that Lord Seventh has spread across it. “Those children..” I hold on to my chest and looks down “If i were that strong willed and high-spirited, Would i save our country? Would i get treated as equal?”

Mitsuki and Shikadai’s words goes straight to my heart and have embedded in my mind.

What was i doing? What did i become a shinobi for?

I am shifted back to my old place again and witnessed the cruelty we escaped..

Did i become strong?

Or i just grew up to be a casualty?

A burden?

I need to take an immediate action..

The Yamanaka family, lead by Ino, orchestrates Konoha's security. If I'm discovered, I'll be subjected to question In a bid to avoid frustrating them with my own problems, I released all of my chakra.

“Where are you heading to Old Lady Tenten?”

When a second set of Yamanakas showed there, they took me into confinement.

“Per Mama's orders, approved by Lord Seventh. You’ll be brought to interrogation”

“I have my own version of Byakugan.. look!”

He illustrates an eagle and exhibit his family’s specialized technique

He perpetuates the handsign and winks, saying, "All I need to do is navigate it from here."

“You can do that without getting unconscious?”

“My mom taught me how grandpa used it.. Anyway, Take her boys! You hate seeing my mom get mad, no?”

And here i thought i successfully sneaked out just because i released all my chakra and sneaked around places that could possibly be guarded by jonins.

“Another mission completion! Yoohoo!” Inojin cheered

What an amiable child. When I was growing up, we spent more time exercising than partying. even if we successfully accomplished an S-rank task.

I feel like a heavy arm thrust landed on my chakra points. The next thing i know is..

"So, what's the deal with sneaking out of the village at this hour?"Ino questions

"Only I could solve this critical issue"

"Mind explaining it to us?"

"Tenten.. Could you please explain this crucial issue? Maybe we can help you.

Mind transfer jutsu, of course. You have the keys to my mind.

“You know me; I won't go until I receive the desired response.”

“We wish to help, Tenten”

"As I said, I’m the only one who could fix this..”

Ino puts her sharp stare on me

“Your country, is facing a huge crisis.. right?”

“You know, You don’t have to trouble yourself asking if you could see through your jutsu”

“I want to help, Tenten.. Tell us what can we do for it”

“Nothing.. stay out of my way..”

“This is the extent of my efforts, i guess. I suppose i’ll have Naruto talk to you”

She returns to herself and requests that Naruto be brought inside the room.

"Naruto," Ino remarks, "I've peered through her thinking and can ascertain that she intends to act on an extremely significant problem in her old village to her own. I ran out of arguments to persuade her. I'm turning her over to you.

“I appreciate your assistance, Ino.”

Speedrunning My Thoughts on the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Designs Before I Make a Long Post on Sarada's

Boruto's design is the definition of unnecessary visual noise. He has three layers, two necklaces, one fingerless glove, two belts, a sword strapped to his hip, and a bunch of pins all to tell us very little about his character. It tells us he got really into pins and still admires Sasuke. Maybe this will change as we learn more about how he's changed, but only time will tell. I like how his color palette has stayed the same and how the purple around his sword is a subtle nod to Sasuke. While it doesn't look like something a ninja from Naruto/Shippuden would wear, it's pretty consistent with what shinobi wear in Boruto. Out of all of the designs, I think I like how this one looks visually the best, but I am bothered by just how much it reminds me of Sasuke. There's a difference between inspiration and copying.

Why does Mitsuki's design look so different? At first I thought it was to change to better match Kawaki since Mitsuki thinks he's his "sun," but Mitsuki never looked all that much like Boruto before and there were other ways for him to resemble Kawaki without upturning his entire design. I can't say much in regards to his color palette without an official one out, but I really hope they didn't trade out all of his blues for black. His outfit overall is pretty weak visually, but I don't exactly hate it. I just hate that it's on Mitsuki. At least the belts on someone's design are finally doing something.

Finally a design that looks like the natural progression of his last design. It's mostly fine and the only real complaint I have is how baggy it is, but it's not like it looks out of character for Kawaki. Plus, Kawaki doesn't see himself as a ninja so what does he care about dressing like one.

Same problem with Mitsuki, it looks nothing like her old design and I can't begin to explain why. I think that the look itself is growing on me, but it should've stayed a civilian design because it doesn't really look protective. Also, her hair looks really awkward, especially in the image here. I hope that as Ikemoto gets more used to drawing her, it improves.

ChouChou's design is in character and looks cute, but it also looks god-awful for battle, especially considering her combat style. I wish it was more balanced in that regard. I wish Ikemoto was better at drawing spiked hair, but the hairstyle itself is cute.

I'm just gonna do Shikadai and Inojin together. Shikadai's design is boring and doesn't resemble his old one, but I'm fine with it otherwise. Inojin's design is the worst(among the ones listed here). It doesn't resemble his old design, I'm upset they got rid of his ponytail, it's incredibly boring to look at, it's butt-ugly, and the only thing it tells me about his character is that he shouldn't be allowed to dress himself(really? the child of Ino can't dress?).

This is the only design I'm okay with being impractical because Sumire isn't a combative ninja. It's another design that continues the last and it looks nice. I just wish that her skirt was longer and her hair was less awkward, but I have very little faith considering it's Ikemoto who's drawing the manga(I do have faith the anime will solve these problems though).

As for everyone else, I don't really care. Eida still looks good, Shikamaru's design looks better than his last but it still doesn't work with his Naruto/Shippuden designs, and both Code and Konohamaru look dumber than ever.
