I have to disagree with two points:

Aleksander is hardly insane, there's not a single action that isn't rational or simply emotional. "Insane" is something without logic or reason. Unless you consider every trauma survivor still living in survival mode "insane".

insane /ɪnˈseɪn/ adjective 1.in a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behaviour, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill.

Aleksander doesn't give a shit about being a good person ("Fine, make me your villain", anyone?). He's only angry about unfairness of perception of his person. His "bad things" are pretty clearly designed to lead to "better world". And occasionally to screw over people who screwed him over. That's realistic strategizing and understandable pettiness.

The S&S incident is a lot of bullshit if you ask me- if he could alter his likeness so much, he could've appear as someone else much sooner and influence Alina in some strategic way. Hell, he could've fucked with her much more than just keep her company. Why not appear and disappear as several different people to make her question her own sanity more than chatting with him did?

I'm more inclined to distrust Alina's self-gaslighting, than a guy, who made her doubt herself to get her to lose when opposing him before.

The Darkling: I'm willing to do anything to stop genocide of my people and destruction of my country. antis: Yeah, the Darkling had a sad life, but look how he hurt my three favourite characters! You can't just excuse ~that~ because he's hot! me:

@sappholovell There was a Black actress who played Elphaba on stage but she was an understudy. There hasn’t been a Black Elphaba on a broadway stage that was in the primary role though. The same thing for Glinda until around 2021 or 2022.

Cynthia Erivo saying “I’ve never seen a me (a Black woman) play the character on stage so I didn’t think they were looking for a me” in regards to being casted as Elphaba in Wicked just pissed me off all over again. The character that is regularly discriminated against has yet to be played by an actual minority?! Are you kidding me?! Broadway and Wicked fans are dumb. I’m not afraid to say it cuz y’all are the same ones who will see someone in green paint and yet still let your racial bias shine through. You can’t help yourselves and it’s quite literally sickening. Then y’all will get upset when you’re told that Black and Brown roles are meant only for Black and Brown performers as if you’re not the reason this has to be stated and done for a multitude of reasons that include y’all whitewashing the book the musical or play is based off of in order to make your disrespect make sense! Like oooooh! Y’all piss me off so much!
