Marahuyo Project - Official Trailer.
I have to admit, I watched it because I saw in the thumbnail, Tommy Alejandrino who played on of the main lead in The Day I Loved You. I really loved this BL, last year and I thought why not watching this trailer. He is not playing a main character here, but really it doesn't matter.
I watched the trailer and it seems really interesting, so you should also watch it. I know Filipino BL are not as popular as other BL, but they have their own way of showing QL stories and it can be refreshing.
The synopsis: Join King (Adrian Lindayag) as he journeys through the highly traditional town of Marahuyo, meeting new friends and finding love along the way as he lobbies to create the first LGBTQIA+ org in their campus.
Everything will be published on ANIMA Studios Youtube Channel. They have English subtitles on the trailer so we may have them also for the series. The series will start on the 24th of June.

Beach
𖤐Pairing: Husband! Alejandro x Wife! Readeer
𖤐Pronouns: She/Her
𖤐Warnings: fluff, children, language, married couple, brief nudity, breastfeeding,
𖤐Summary: Alejandro and his family wanted to go to the beach so of course Alejandro was going to deliver that promise to his family
————
————
Alejandro had planned a trip for his wife and two kids. Y/n had brought up going to the beach, Y/n wanted a trip after giving birth to their baby boy Santiago.
Alejandro sat in his beach chair watching the water crash against the shore of the white sandy beach. Alejandro then looks down at his wife on her stomach her bikini top undone to get her back.
His 4 year old daughter at his feet burying his feet in the sand and his 2 month old son Santiago was asleep in the little baby tent he set up for him so he wouldn't burn.
"Maria, you wanna go to the water?" He asked his daughter who was wearing a light pink bucket hat. She looks up.
"Yes, papi," she says, Alejandro leaned over and grabs her floaties they took off her so she could eat her lunch and enjoy the sand.
He helps her put them on and took a hold of her small hand as they walked to the cold water. They stopped at just the edge of the water, he bends down to her level holding her close to his side.
Alejandro walked into the water and guided Maria to where he was. He held her to his side as the water splashed them, she giggles as Alejandro would gently dunk into the water and quickly come up before the waves took them out.
"Alejandro...can you tie my back?" Y/n mumbles against her arms. She just barely opens her eyes and mumbled again. "Alejandro?" She sits up holding her bikini top against her chest and sees he's not in his chair and Maria wasn't around, but she hears loud giggling coming from ocean. She turns and sees her husband and daughter playing in the water.
She tries to tie her top and looks at her baby boy. Santiago stirred in his sleep but was still asleep. She moves to the baby tent laying in the tent while her back half was out of the tent.
She cups his chubby cheeks and his eyes slowly opened. He giggles and kicks his feet. She takes his tiny feet and kissed his soft baby feet making him giggle.
"You are so cute, baby," she says, kissing his chubby cheeks again.
"Oh he's awake," Alejandro was carrying a tired Maria. Her chin resting on his shoulder and her arms were around his neck.
"He just woke up," she says, kissing Santiago's forehead.
Y/n picked up her baby boy and sitting in her own beach chair, Alejandro sits in his chair holding onto Maria. Y/n moves the strap of her bikini and Santiago attached himself to Y/n's nipple.
Y/n leans back and looks up at the sky, the sun was wanting to go down and Alejandro placed his free hand on her thigh.
"When he's done you wanna head up to the villa?" Alejandro asked.
"Yeah," she says, looking at her husband.
---------
Y/n carried Santiago and carried the bag that held the baby tent as Alejandro was packing up everything into the little wagon. She looks at her husband seeing if she could help.
"Do you want me to carry anything?" She asked.
"Nah, it's okay, mi amor," he says, kissing Y/n's lips and following her into their rented villa.
Soon entering the villa, Y/n had placed Santiago on his playmat and Alejandro took his daughter into her bedroom, removing her floaties and helping her into some better clothes so she can sleep.
"Papi, can I have water before I go to bed?"
"Sure, amor," he kisses her temple and let her get change and he went to go get a glass of water for her. Y/n was changing out of her bikini and put on panties, shorts and a t-shirt.
Y/n walked back to the living room just passing Alejandro and getting a small tap on the butt from her husband.
Y/n laid next to Santiago as he hits the small stuffed bunny. Her fingers tickled Santiago's belly earning giggles from him.
Alejandro came back and looked down at his wife and baby son. He joins his wife and son on the floor kissing Santiago and tickling him to earn some giggles and laughs from their son.
"Mami, could you read me a story?" Maria asked coming downstairs.
"Sure, baby," she gets up off the floor and follow her daughter to her bedroom leaving Alejandro and Santiago together.
Alejandro looks at his son and he's how Santiago looks like a carbon copy of Alejandro, same hair, eyes, and nose.
---------
Y/n and Alejandro walked hand-in together on the beach, no sun in the sky only the moon. They took a small walk on the beach with no kids, both were asleep back in the villa.
"This is nice," Y/n says, leaning on Alejandro.
"I'm glad you enjoyed this," he says, kissing the top of her head. "Let's go," he says as they walk to the villa, opening the sliding door and getting some wine and enjoying the rest of their night together.

9 QTPoC books for your 2023 Pride Month TBR
Happy Pride Month! Every year, I do a little round-up of YA books starring LGBTQ and BIPOC characters that have come out so far this year. This year was particularly exciting -- there were so many books that I loved or have at the very top of my TBR! So, without further ado, here's 9 of them for your TBR!
The Wicked Bargain by Gabe Cole Novoa El Diablo is in the details in this Latinx pirate fantasy starring a transmasculine nonbinary teen with a mission of revenge, redemption, and revolution.
On Mar León-de la Rosa's 16th birthday, el Diablo comes calling. Mar is a transmasculine nonbinary teen pirate hiding a magical ability to manipulate fire and ice. But their magic isn't enough to reverse a wicked bargain made by their father and now el Diablo has come to collect his payment: the soul of Mar's father and the entire crew of their ship. When Mar is miraculously rescued by the sole remaining pirate crew in the Caribbean, el Diablo returns to give them a choice: give up your soul to save your father by the Harvest Moon or never see him again. The task is impossible--Mar refuses to make a bargain and there's no way their magic is any match for el Diablo. Then, Mar finds the most unlikely allies: Bas, an infuriatingly arrogant and handsome pirate -- and the captain's son; and Dami, a genderfluid demonio whose motives are never quite clear. For the first time in their life, Mar may have the courage to use their magic. It could be their only redemption -- or it could mean certain death.

Ander & Santi Were Here by Jonny Garza Villa Aristotle and Dante meets The Hate U Give meets The Sun Is Also A Star: A stunning YA contemporary love story about a Mexican-American teen who falls in love with an undocumented Mexican boy.
Finding home. Falling in love. Fighting to belong. The Santos Vista neighborhood of San Antonio, Texas, is all Ander Martínez has ever known. The smell of pan dulce. The mixture of Spanish and English filling the streets. And, especially their job at their family's taquería. It's the place that has inspired Ander as a muralist, and, as they get ready to leave for art school, it's all of these things that give them hesitancy. That give them the thought, are they ready to leave it all behind?
To keep Ander from becoming complacent during their gap year, their family "fires" them so they can transition from restaurant life to focusing on their murals and prepare for college. That is, until they meet Santiago López Alvarado, the hot new waiter. Falling for each other becomes as natural as breathing. Through Santi's eyes, Ander starts to understand who they are and want to be as an artist, and Ander becomes Santi's first steps toward making Santos Vista and the United States feel like home. Until ICE agents come for Santi, and Ander realizes how fragile that sense of home is. How love can only hold on so long when the whole world is against them. And when, eventually, the world starts to win.

Neither Ba nor her sweet sister Lily believe that there is anything strange happening. But the competition might be stiffer than expected, so unless they can get their rookie team’s act together, this second chance―and any hope of playing college soccer―will slip through Vale’s fingers. When the growing pressure, friendship friction, and her overbearing father push Vale to turn to Leticia for help, what starts off as a shaky alliance of necessity begins to blossom into something more through a shared love of soccer. . . and maybe each other.

amc iwtv abigail (2024) au
The year is 2024. The location is Paris. A team of professional criminals are hired to kidnap the “daughter of a wealthy businessman” and hold her hostage for a large sum of money.
This team includes:
The “mastermind”
The medic in charge of anesthetic doses and taking care of the kid
The getaway driver
The hacker
The muscle
The ex army
These roles are played by
Santiago as the mastermind
Madeline as the medic
Estelle as the getaway driver
Daniel as the hacker
Celeste as the muscle
Now you may ask, why these particular choices? Here's the explanation
The “mastermind” of the team thinks that he’s far smarter than he is, doesn’t view abigail the child vampire as either a threat or a creature with feelings, starts out sadistic and only gets worse until he’s the real villain of the piece after becoming a vampire toward the end of the movie. This is all very Santiago to me.
The medic is the one who develops a bond with Abigail, the child vampire. In the movie, this character has a son that she’s trying to get the job money for so that she can reconcile with him too. While I wouldn’t want that to be the exact backstory, it does work for the framing. A Madeline who went into health care to help her ailing younger sister and try to get her foot in the door for a medical transition. Who was able to transition but had that kill her career and then had to resort to working for crime bosses. She ends up nicking some of their supplies to try to help her sister and has a very traumatic firing. Without that income and those supplies her sister dies and she loses access to her hormones, so she decides to do something.. Drastic. To try to get back on her feet. What other option does she have, really?
Estelle is the getaway driver because she blows up on a motorcycle and I think that’s funny
Old Maniel. This character in the movie is a young woman from a wealthy family who hacks for the fun and the thrill. I love the idea that publication of his vampire memoir destroyed his journalistic career in the 80s. After that, he still had to make do somehow, right? Hacking got the job done. He’s doing one more big job to send home an enormous paycheck to his girls, maybe write a book about it that’ll be published post mortem and keep paying their bills. Sure, whatever he gets on paper won’t make him look good, but it’ll be something. He doesn’t expect that vampires involved in his past situation would be so close to the ones plotting this situation.
Celeste as the muscle because if Estelle is there she has to be too.
I liked the ex army character but he doesn’t really line up with anyone I have in mind so. He has been tragically cut. Such is life
ONTO THE PLOT!
Santiago brings the group together. No one tells anyone else their real name.
Then, they kidnap their mark from her luxurious Paris apartment. Everyone feels a little weird about the mark being a kid when no one was informed of that, but like.. It’s a bit too late to turn back when the kid’s knocked out in the back of your car, right? And like… she’s not a kindergartener or anything. She’s probably like… 13? A bratty little teenager with a rich dad. That’s kind of justifiable, right?
(It’s not.)
They get to a giant villa in the countryside and meet up with their contact, a white American woman named Antoinette. She tells them about how they just have to keep the mark in the house overnight while she “negotiates terms” with the father. She confiscates all their electronic devices for the “safety of the operation” and gives them almost no information. After some prodding she gives them all fake names from twilight. Then, she leaves them alone in the mansion for the night with the bursting liquor cabinet.
We get some character setup after Estelle tries to do a cold read on the others and madeline calls everything she says out as bullshit. Then estelle’s like well if that was so bad how about you try it? And then madeline reads the CRAP outta her. Then celeste asks for one and it’s spot on. Santiago’s like here’s 50 bucks if you can say ONE true thing about me. And she’s like you were an undercover cop who decided that you liked being able to hurt people even more easily and never wanted to go back to having some level of rules on you. And he’s like WELL YOU’RE A DUDE! And she’s just like wow! How original! You figured out that I Transed My Gender. Can you tell me literally one other thing about me? And he. Can’t. Because he’s not as smart as he thinks he is!
Daniel has been weirdly quiet during this, so she turns to him and she’s like hey gramps do you want one? And he’s like i would literally rather die. She’s figured out that he used to be a journalist from a few of his conversational ticks but she doesn’t point it out, because he asked for no reading and she has some manners. Unlike SOME people! She’s blunt but she’s not a total asshole.
Then, Madeline goes up to check on the mark who should be waking up from the anesthetic soon. She IS! The girl plays up being scared and hurting and madeline’s like. Well the blindfold is a LITTLE over the top. I have a mask on. This is fine. She won’t be able to ID me from a lineup like this, probably,
So she takes the mark’s blindfold off. Now that the thing is off, the girl doesn’t seem scared at all. It’s like it was just a game and she’s done with it now. No “who are you” no “what are you doing” no “are you going to hurt me?” Just a staring contest with a middle schooler.
In the briefing, they told them that the mark’s first language was English. That’s the language that Madeline starts with.
“Who are you?” Madeline asks.
The girl smiles. “I’m Claudia.”
“Your whole name.” Madeline clarifies. The kid must be someone powerful’s daughter if she’s this assured of her own safety.
“Just Claudia,” the girl tells her, “I’m not on good terms with either of my fathers right now.” Well. That gives Madeline some information at least. The girl has two fathers who are separated.
“We’re not going to hurt you,” Madeline assures her, because it feels like something she should do. It’s what she’d planned to do, coming up here.
“I know,” Claudia tells her, “you can’t hurt me.”
Madeline feels her breath catch in her chest. “We can’t?”
“You can’t.”
“And how do you know that?” Madeline asks.
“I just do.”
Madeline laughs. “Any other insight you want to give me?”
Claudia smiles brightly. “Sure. Can you tell Daniel Molloy that I didn’t like his book?” Madeline feels fear curl up even sharper in her gut. A fearless child named Claudia, two powerful fathers, and Daniel Molloy. She lives in Paris. She is very familiar with that man’s “memoir” from the absolutely exhausting American tourists obsessed with retracing the steps of the “real life” vampires chronicled in the book that killed a promising journalistic career in the 80s.
Is someone punking them? She doesn’t even let herself consider the crazier option: that everything in that book was real.
After whatever THAT interaction is, madeline corners santiago to make him give her more information. Who is this kid’s dad? Does she actually have two? Does he have any real clue who this kid is? Why does she seem unphased by being kidnapped? Why doesn't she seem like a kid at all?
He’s less than helpful, so Madeline brings her findings to the entire group. How the girl doesn’t seem phased at all by being kidnapped. How she claims she’s not on good terms with “either father”. “Just Claudia” and her strange request for Daniel Molloy.
“Okay, yeah,” the elderly hacker says, closing his laptop and standing up, “that’s my bullshit threshold. I’m getting the fuck outta here.”
“What?” Estelle asks, “but we are so close to getting our money?”
“I am not waiting around for one of Claudia’s dads,” he declares.
She frowns. “Do you know them?”
“Know them?” he asks, “uh yeah, I know them. One of them, at least. He’s not a man you wanna mess with.”
Celeste rolls her eyes. “Come on. What could make him so frightening? Truly?”
He just stares at her. “He’s a vampire.”
Estelle bursts into laughter, “Oh, what a funny old man you are! Who is he really?”
“A fucking vampire!” he repeats with wide, terrified eyes.
“Ah,” Santiago says, “you’re the Daniel Molloy. I should have known.”
Celeste frowns. “Who?”
Estelle giggles. “He wrote the gay vampire memoir! He always said it was real.”
“It was!” the guy tells them, “every fucking thing I wrote there was real. Every word. And no one believed me.” Santiago snorts.
The old man turns towards him with a deadly look in his eyes. “You think that’s funny?”
“Yes,” Santiago assures him, “I do.”
He points to a nasty, mottled scar across his neck. “Her father did this to me. I almost died. Still think it’s funny?”
“Yes,” he assures him, “with every word you speak it just gets funnier.”
“Whatever, man,” the old man mutters, “I’m getting out of here before she starts picking you fuckers off.” Then he turns to the driver. “Can I have the keys?”
“No! I’m not giving you the car keys!” Estelle declares, “we will need them to leave in the morning.”
He laughs. “None of you are making it to morning. I’m getting outta here while there's still some sun.”
“Then you will be walking,” Estelle says firmly.
“Whatever,” Daniel says, waving off the comment, “I’ll take my chances with the walk to town.”
The old man staggers out the door and into the dying evening sun, leaving his cut of 50 million dollars on the table.
“Well,” Celeste says, “more money for the rest of us.” That brings each of their counts up to 12 million dollars. Certainly enough for Madeline to give her sister a proper funeral and pay for HRT for the rest of her days.
Santiago goes to “speak” to Claudia, which is just an excuse to try to intimidate her and be mean. She lets it “slip” that she’s the daughter of a famous crime boss who has people killed by decapitating them: Lestat de Lioncourt.
He comes to give the group that information and they decide they'll take their chances. Like... sure. That makes… some sort of sense? If her father is a terrifying crime boss that could explain some of her behaviors. She’s still worried, but she tries not to let those consume her.
Claudia isn’t a vampire. She’s just… a smart young woman. Older than she looks, surely. Stunted growth, perhaps? That can happen with neglect. Perhaps she split from her fathers because of something along those lines. An undergrad student, perhaps. The team made an assumption concerning her age and Antoinette just let them go with it.
(Madeline tries not to let her mind settle too long on “Antoinette” from the book- the mistress whose position was always so precarious until she just… disappeared from the story entirely.)
She goes to speak with Claudia again to put her worries to rest. This will prove to her that this isn’t a preternatural middle school student but a shrewd university student.
When Claudia sees her, she starts speaking French. It sounds atrocious.
Madeline doesn’t bother responding in her mother tongue.
In English once again, she says, “Your French is bad.”
Claudia sticks with her atrocious French. “Really? You’d think a girl would get better after 80 years.” Four twenties, she claims.
Madeline chuckles and permits the girl a response in French. “Four twenties, you say? I will believe you’ve lived one of them, at least.”
Claudia grins as she switches back to her mother tongue. “Not buying the little girl act?”
Madeline scoffs. “You only acted as a little girl before we caught you. The moment you were here, you showed your true colors.”
“I’m a hundred year old vampire,” Claudia tells her, "a hundred twenty one to be exact."
Madeline laughs. “No, I think you are a cunning college student conning your father out of money.”
Claudia grins, maneuvering her cuffs to be slightly more comfortable. “However would I do that?”
“Stage your own kidnapping,” Madeline posits, “then scare the attackers into leaving and pocket the money."
“How would I do that, exactly?” Claudia asks. She sounds intrigued, excited to hear Madeline tell her back her own genius plan.
“You’re pretending to be the vampire Claudia from Molloy’s delusional diary,” Madeline tells her, “you hired another woman to pretend to be the vampire Antoinette. Recruited a few people that you thought would be susceptible to strange suggestions in addition to the father of the delusion itself so they’d leave. Then you get 25 million to yourself at the end.”
Madeline turns her head to finish her point and notices something.
She’s not in cuffs anymore-
Claudia’s canines slide down like a trick door, turning into fangs.
“I like you,” Claudia tells her, “I think I’ll kill you last.”
This is where “you should watch the movie if you haven’t yet” comes into full effect. The action is GREAT and I am just going to give you a brief play by play. The house seals itself into a special trap until the sun comes up. Claudia kills Estelle first- detaches her head from her body and drinks her blood. The three survivors band together for a while to try to evade her and stay alive.
The stakes rise as they try to talk about what awaits them outside of this death mansion. Santiago decides that he straight up hates her for “letting her sister die” and having the gall to Be Trans About It.
They “capture” Claudia who spends the whole time taunting them and turning them against each other. Santiago is needlessly cruel. Claudia “escapes” and Madeline realizes that she was never trapped in the first place. They engage in a Flirtatious Bonding Moment TM before the group splits again. Madeline and Santiago run off and Celeste gets left behind.
Then, Celeste gets turned into a vampiric puppet that Claudia uses to scare the shit out of them before the woman's body dies. It seems like Claudia has all of the murders in the bag until a door to a hidden room opens up and fucking Antoinette is behind it. And guess what! She WAS the mistress! She gives them some pathetic backstory bits about being a scorned lover turned by one of Claudia’s fathers a hundred years ago. Lestat, the one who turned her to be his lover, planned to kill her as a peace offering to his husband as they reunited at the temporary return of their runaway daughter. Said runaway daughter decided that she wanted to start again, completely on her own, and requested that Antoinette be allowed to live in her service since Claudia can’t make a vampire on her own. Both fathers agreed, as it made them feel better for their daughter to have someone as she ventured off into vampiric adulthood away from them. Antoinette has been forced to play errand girl to her ex-lover’s daughter for 80 years. The ex-lover that was going to kill her to return to his husband’s good graces.
So yeah. Antoinette wants to turn someone she thinks can help her defeat Claudia and then get rid of her keeper and find out how to escape somewhere that loustat can’t find her afterwards. Compassionless, mainly competent Santiago seems like a very good choice!
He is. At least… he like, takes to the gift? Pretty immediately? But he kills Antoinette because he doesn’t want to share and then Madeline realizes that she’s 100% safer with Claudia. She’d been thinking that might be the case for a while, but now she’s certain.
Madeline tries to get away from him to find Claudia and makes it to her, but they realize quickly that his size advantage is.. .real bad for her in a fight. Especially since Madeline’s like, 100% dying. He shifts the odds one more time by trying to make Madeline into a vampiric puppet like he saw Claudia do. Thankfully his hubris got the better of him and it doesn’t work. Madeline’s able to fight against it and restrain him.
Restraining him is just a temporary fix, though. Madeline is bleeding out and Claudia is trying to bring her back from the brink with her blood, but with a volatile Freshly Turned Fledgling and a dying human that claudia doesn’t WANT to die… the odds aren’t looking great for her.
That is until her father finally does come. Lestat de Lioncourt appears in all of his vampiric glory. The moment he arrives he’s separated Santiago’s head from his body.
“You’re late,” Claudia says primly.
He huffs. “Late? I wasn’t aware I was welcome until you were losing a fight with a fledgling!”
“A fledgling that your fledgling made,” Claudia says, “so really, it was your fault.” He smiles ever so slightly.
“If you had allowed me to kill Antoinette years ago, she never could have moved against you,” Lestat tells her pointedly.
Claudia shrugs an acknowledgement. “I wanted a companion. She worked alright."
He snorts. “That's what I thought when I made her, but Antoinette was a poor replacement for your father."
Claudia frowns. “Where is Daddy Lou?”
“Home,” Lestat tells her.
“What? He didn’t come help?” she sounds devastated that her father might have been reading the paper while she was being hunted.
“He closed his mind off from you,” he says, “per your request, ma petite.”
She moves her hand up to her elbow to rub gently at the viscera coating it. “Asking that of him mighta been… harsh.”
The man smile ever so slightly. “Perhaps. If you were to reopen your mind to him-”
“No,” Claudia tells him, “just havin’ your presence in there is bad enough.”
He flinches.
“But..” Claudia says, “maybe you could just… keep an eye on me, just in case?" A slight smile. “And you can both come round every once in a while, I s’pse.”
Lestat’s eyes drift over to the mortal dying on the floor. “Would you like assistance with this.. Cleanup?”
Madeline feels her heart stop in her chest. What does that mean, exactly?
“You can’t kill her,” Claudia says firmly.
Lestat turns his gaze toward back to his daughter. “And why is that?”
“She saved my life,” Claudia tells him, “and I like her. She’s interesting.”
“Hm,” he says appraisingly, “you are without a companion.” A companion. What, exactly, does that mean?
Claudia’s eyes widen. “Are you offering to make me one?”
“You cannot create one on your own,” he says, “and I will not be “coming round”- he uses air quotes, like a douche bag- “until I am invited. So. Yes. I am offering.”
Madeline tries to wrap her head around this offer, a vampiric eternity with the most interesting person that she’s met in years. Someone who understands the horror of having a body that makes people make all the wrong assumptions.
Claudia takes her hand. “Well, what do you think? How's forever sound?” There’s nothing in this world for Madeline, anymore. A dead sister and a world that doesn’t want her.
Why not join someone who might understand? It’s not like she has anything to lose. Her sister is dead and all she’s working towards are a funeral, a tombstone, and her own hormones. Why not live the way that she wants for once? “I say,” Madeline tells her, “turn me. Now.” Forever isn’t too scary when there’s someone you trust it with.

The Real Life Handmaid's Tale of Pinochet's Chile
Nieves Ayress Moreno, a MIRista militant after being severely tortured at Villa Grimaldi, was transferred to a prison run by Catholic Nuns. She had become pregnant from repeated rapes by Junta guards. "Dr. Mery, a military doctor who practiced at the Catholic University, and who told me that I should be proud to have a "son of the fatherland." Despite her health being in danger, her only hope of an abortion, under Chile's ultra-strict "pro-life laws" was to appeal to the Pope himself. A revolutionary feminist woman, in a prison run by Catholic nuns, forced to give birth. It is a nightmare out of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale come to life.
STATEMENT OF LUZ DE LAS NIEVES AYRESS MORENO
In New York, State of New York, United States of America, on ____ days of the month of August of the year two thousand, Mrs. Luz de las
Nieves Ayress Moreno (born in Chile under the name Luz de las Nieves Ayress Moreno, Chilean citizen, legal profession, domiciled in New York, New York, USA, passport No. 6.347.871-7) of legal age, who demonstrated her identity with your passport, and states:
I make this statement to be presented as evidence in the cases pending against General Augusto Pinochet and his subordinates in Chile. I make this statement under oath and with full knowledge of the crime of perjury.
The facts are the following: I was born in Santiago, Chile on October 5, 1948. I joined the Bolivian National Liberation Army, an arm of the Socialist Party in Chile, in 1968, and in 1973 I was still a militant and ELN activist, working with women and children in the towns. I was also an art and journalism student at the University of Chile. After 1973, I was a member of the Movement of the Revolutionary Left of Chile (MIR).
A few weeks after the coup, I was at the house of the mother of a friend of mine who was in prison, when, around 10 pm, a group of police officers arrived and arrested me. They handcuffed me and took me first to the Carabineros NCO School, and, after two or three days, to the National Stadium. (At the stadium, the carabinieri would tell me that my friend's mother had named me in the hope of saving her own daughter.) At the NCO School, they beat me and slapped me. They also touched my body, threatened me with sexual advances, and insulted me. The prisoners were kept in some cells that were in the back of the School, in the stables.
In March 1974 I was transferred to the Women's Prison on Vicuña Mackenna Street, in Santiago, which was under the administration of an order of jailer nuns. Here I was in free conversation, and I stayed in a patio with the other political prisoners; they kept political prisoners apart.
In April I found out that I was pregnant, and this was confirmed by Dr. Mery, a military doctor who practiced at the Catholic University, and who told me that I should be proud to have a "son of the country." My pregnancy caused great controversy. By now my case was internationally known, due to the efforts of my mother and family to denounce what was happening to me, and also because a woman who was imprisoned with me in the Vicuña Mackenna women's prison had managed to get a my statement I was interviewed by the International Red Cross, the Kennedy Commission, Amnesty International, the International Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of American States (OAS), the United Nations High Commissioner, by Bishop Aristía of Santiago, a Dr. Phillippe , and by Cardinal Raul Silva Henríquez, who came to see his niece, who was also in prison. A group of military wives came to visit me, and they promised me my freedom if I didn't make any more statements about my pregnancy and my torture, and they threatened to take away my son once he was born.
The nuns offered to help me request permission for an abortion. I was not a religious, but because I was in a prison run by religious, I had to submit a request to the cardinal, and from the cardinal to the Pope. In Chile, abortion is punishable by law for five years and one day. I was physically very ill, and if I had a clandestine abortion in prison I could die, and for this reason I decided to have the child. After having survived months of torture and detention, I was not going to give the military the pleasure of killing me. However, in April or May, I started having a lot of pain in my belly, and losing blood clots. I miscarried spontaneously. I received no medical care during the pregnancy or miscarriage.
I never had a legal process. General Bonilla, who took an interest in my case, sent an officer to interview me in jail about my pregnancy and the sexual abuse and other torture I had suffered. In this interview, the officer told me that at one point there were three different lawsuits against me, but that the lawsuits were so contradictory to each other that the military courts declared themselves incompetent in my case. Later there was an order to transfer me to the Pisagua concentration camp, with the penalty of firing squad, but General Bonilla blocked it; he did not agree with the treatment of male and female prisoners. However, I was sentenced to imprisonment "by virtue of the state of siege."
Two dams, M .D. and María Emilia Tijaux, were with me in the women's prison, and they are witnesses of the weak state in which I found myself. Eventually my case got too complicated because of all the controversy it was causing, and since I had no official conviction from the court, in March of 1975 I was transferred to Tres Alamos.
In Tres Alamos, where I remained until December 1976, I was again subjected to rape, threats, insults, and other psychological torture. Comandante Pacheco, who was in charge of Tres Alamos, constantly abused me, subjecting me to sexual harassment for almost two years. He liked to walk around the concentration camp with me next to him. I was very weak, and I fainted frequently. I stayed in a cell with eight other companions. Another prisoner, Marcia Scantlebury, was also badly abused by Comandante Pacheco.
In the spring, I don't remember what month, they transferred us prisoners from Tres Alamos for a month to Pirque, in the mountains, because a group from the UN Human Rights Commission was coming to Chile, and they wanted to avoid a visit to Tres Alamos. It was to give a good image before the UN delegation. I was very depressed, and I felt anxious. He ate and cried a lot. The beauty of the place somehow broke me psychologically.
After a month they took us back to Tres Alamos. We continue to organize ourselves to do craft work to sell abroad. Three babies were born, and we all took care of them. My mother and my aunts would visit me in Tres Alamos. At this time my mother was making arrangements for me to go to Germany.
In December, I was expelled from Chile by the dictatorship with 17 compañeros and compañeras. The dictatorship published a special decree to expel us, leaving us with no right of return. On this list were Gladys Díaz, Víctor Toro, Luis Corbalán, and 15 other colleagues. Many international organizations, such as the Red Cross, the United Nations High Commissioner, and "CIME", UN HIGH COMMISSIONER and the solidarity of the peoples of the world, helped to get me out. In Berlin I had acquaintances, and I stayed with Nuria Nuñez, and also with Gilde Botay. During this time I was dedicated to publicly denouncing what was happening in Chile, and I traveled a lot.

A Different Sort of Man
Chapter 7
Gif by @cillianluvr
Prompt: 'I mean, I love gossip. Tell me.'
Taglist: @look-at-the-soul @thegreatdragonfruta @zablife @midnightswithdearkatytspb @cillmequick
“Good morning.” She gave him a peck on the lips and he knew he would miss this.
Somehow her kisses didn’t feel like he was kissing a stranger.
Grace had been sweet, but he never did feel comfortable with her after she left.
Sex was not love no matter how much they tried to make it so.
He hates how easy it is to catch feelings for her.
Grace had taken a year to worm herself into his heart in 1919 and yet, Eva waltzed in like she always owned it.
Pretending they are husband and wife is easy, she is free with her affections and uses her abilities to steer them in the right direction and Thomas falls into step like the good soldier he is.
Time had flown by and before they knew it the full moon had come again.
And with the full moon came the first of many Shelby Charity Galas which the other Eva had organized and would provide a cover for a meeting with Section D.
John was told to apologize to the Changrettas, Lizzie would be free to pursue Angel but won’t because Santiago Rosales-Riley had spirited her off to his seaside villa in Casablanca.
Two birds with one stone, Polly had laughed.
John had learned his lesson about giving into his impulses and a fight with the Changrettas avoided.
She wears black, a dress scandalous enough to make him want to cut any man or woman who looks at her too long.
He has always been prone to jealousy, and yet not once did that jealousy come with Grace.
Grace who threw herself at his feet and made him do right by her when it got out of his control.
He had no intentions of marrying her until she came and told him her the baby was his and that she loved him.
Thomas knew she had fallen for him, something he had counted on when he wooed her in the language she and her people speak:money.
That day at Epsom she was supposed to find him choosing May Carleton over her.
To discover that night in London had been him getting his revenge for what she did to him and his family three years before.
That he didn’t love her and was merely using her like she used him.
Tommy had not been like that when Grace was just the Barmaid, but when she came back in 1922, he realized he wanted to make her feel the pain and humiliation she left in her wake.
Only things never work out how he wants them to and her falling pregnant, killing her husband and force him into marriage was never in his plans.
But by the time 1925 rolled around, he couldn’t do it.
He knew he’d lose Charlie, because both of them knew that he was the only reason he took her back and gave her a real chance.
Now he had lost Charlie, the only good thing to come from the two of them.
He would get him back, despite what Grace believes, he knows who killed Clive MacMillan.
“How do you think the real ones are doing?” Eva asks after he stops her from drinking.
“Keep the sapphire on tonight.” He says when he comes back from the impromptu meeting with Section D.
It was their last night in this universe. Tonight, was a full moon and with any luck, they will wake up in their real bodies in their universe where everything is as it should be.
“No need to tell me twice,” Eva quips as she drinks his whiskey.
This Eva is not pregnant, this Eva has a wonderful recipe for a tea contraceptive that is very effective and doesn’t taste like someone pissed in it, or so she said earlier.
He cannot wait for this to be over.
Tommy knew with every success he had it would bring more attention to them, good attention that would help him become a Member of Parliament soon.
Now he was notorious for cheating on a woman he married a month ago.
Eva and his family were spinning it in a way that made him the victim at the expense of Grace’s reputation.
Something that would give this universe’s Thomas Shelby his son back.
Although, this Thomas had an ace up his sleeve that would make infidelity look irrelevant on the custody hearing in the coming weeks.
“Want to know a bit of dirt this me had on Grace?” he takes his glass back knowing his wife should not be drinking more than that if they want to save some face at this fucking gala.
“I mean, I love gossip. Tell me.” She said wondering what this juicy piece of gossip about the woman Eva loves to hate.
“She killed her husband; it was never a suicide like her uncle paid the coroner to say.” His voice is quiet, but Eva’s gasp is loud enough to attract attention.
“Is there proof?” her eyes shine with a certain viciousness he enjoys on her.
“Enough to return the boy to his father.” Tommy answered wondering what had led this Thomas into putting a ring on that woman.
“I do feel bad it came to this.” Eva admits feeling sorry for the man.
Had they been more careful it wouldn’t have happened, but something tells him it was a matter of time given he had the file in the first place.
“Too late for that now, love.”
They repeat the incantation they now know by heart, fuck hoping it finally happens and try to sleep praying it is over when they wake up tomorrow.
Both Eva’s wake up in their respective universes with the urge to retch.
One because morning sickness works like clockwork, the other because she is hungover from alcohol she didn’t drink.
“Did it work?” Tommy and Thomas asks the same question seeing themselves in their own bodies with a fear of it having failed.
The question is answered by a toddler crying in his nursery and in the other by a file inside the empty crib.
“We’re never doing this again.” The Eva’s say simultaneously unaware that the scene is playing out in each other’s parallel universes.

renaming characters: s1, s3 and s4
i just decided to compile all of them in one post since we all know these characters pretty well, and by that i mean i know SOME of the names from season 4.
season 2 / season 5 (i guessed/named them because i didn't play the season so... no stakes there!)
SEASON 1
allegra - she's very powerful, *clears throat* hot, and allegra as a name can be that...? i don't know, i feel like amber resumes this character so much, especially if you say it with her accent... amba... every amber in reality tv is a little too intense and we know she's the queen of cringey overreactions.
erikah - always thought laura would suit her better. i don't know why but i don't like erikah for her, but i think laura has a je ne sais quoi that she, the character, also has. she's very complicated and quite feeble at times, but her face tells me laura.
jen - she's clearly a fucking ashleigh. not for nothing, i know a lot of great ashleys', but the -eigh makes it so obnoxious and that's perfect for homegirl, because right off the bat she's claiming vanilla swirley hair romeo and ashleigh's tend to be like that... tell me you can't picture jen in a 2014 pinterest gear up in a pumpkin field wearing uggs and a fedora, i dare you to tell me she's not the type!
talia - is her full name natalia? 'cause it should be. in my humble opinion isla is a great name for her, (pronounced ay-lah) means island and it's spanish and scottish, perfectly beautiful for her, because let's be honest, if any of these girls is gonna have an interesting name, that's talia. hell, talia is already a great name!
jake - this is such a boring name for someone so full of flavor, i can't! he's not dabbed in caucasity nor adolescence, so why the fuck was he named jake???? mateo though... mateo is a fucking name, ok? it can be italian, spanish, portuguese, it doesn't matter. jake is such a 13-yo momma's boy name... ugh, no. if the guy has a collar popped like a fucking vampire and is walking around the villa with that hair, jake is not his name. PERIOD.
mason - i honestly like the name, just not for him. i always thought oliver would be a curveball because so is mason's lack of personality. let's face it they made a huge oopsie when interchanging levi's characteristics with his when coupled up with mc. mason is a drummer turned model, how the fuck did you manage to make him boring??? anyway, his face, to me, is giving oliver.
miles - he deserves a douche name because he has that chest piece, and any guy who displays such... awful tattoo deserves to be punished. fuck it, let's name him terry, short for terrible.
jasper - i mean, i HATE this name, and well, his face and hair is giving elité father tease, so i want to name santiago, because oh my god, every santiago i've met sucks ass and is a creep. the guy has a pet cobra, he HAS to be named santiago!
tim - this is the ONLY character who fits in the jake genre, because he looks 18 and clueless (affectionate). i feel like liam is somehow fitting for him, mostly because that's the go-to name in teen dramas... and usually the liam's are also clueless.
levi - why do his mates call him romeo is beyond me, homeboy has NO GAME. NONE. he's the personification (along with mason) of pretty privilege. if you stick a pin on his head it might deflate, because there's nothing going on behind those average eyes. fuck levi, his name is eric, basic and common.
rohan - since his name has multiple origins, and we don't know for sure his ethnicity (not that it matters, i know brazilian boys who are named tyler, so...) i'm naming him gael. he's a gael, argue with the wall.
cherry - have you ever seen a courtney??? because that's her! and she might be the type to say "although i have the same name as kourtney, khloe is my spirit animal" and you can't tell me she doesn't.
reese - tristan. fuck reese.
sammi - i would love to name her according to her ethnicity, because sammi apparently is hebrew. for instance, if she's korean: seong-min is perfect, because it's a genderless name and so it's sammi. also, i headcanon her as enby (she/them). if she's japanese, aya, because it can mean "brilliant fabric" and that's what she's fucking wearing. if chinese, yu ming, which means jade brightness, again... fitting! i like sammi, but i think it was a missed opportunity to name her in what could be her background culture, since lots of us don't know much, if anything about those countries. i for one didn't have any asian history classes in my school curriculum, which is weird because we had ajapanese immigration here, so like... MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. anyway, these are the names i would give her.
lucy - that's a rebecca that refuses being called becky, and will have a fit if you do. i don't have much to say about her, lucy can die in a hole.

SEASON 3
elladine - she gives me "i have two L's in my name" but it's not elladine. it's something like danielle, which is really pretty and the first name that came to mind when i saw the teasers with her.
aj - this is a great name for her, i have to say! if anything i would've taken the same route and either use an acronym, like aj, or a "boy name" like robin. i honestly love that name for girls and enby's.
bill - honestly the caucasity is too much for me, and i have to say, the name has to fall into that category, so i'm naming him ryan! he's childish and you can tell nobody has told him to shut the fuck up ONCE in his life. his name is ryan and you can argue with the jar of mayo sitting next to him.
camilo - i don't like this for anybody, it's such an ugly name in my opinion. if they wanted to name him a latin name they could've gone with so many other prettier options, and to me he looks like a cauã (the last a is pronounced ahn). listen, cauã is indigenous from brazil, BUT it's so fitting for him, you'll have to trust me on this one! they're athletic and also very... um... let's say "active", and by that i mean they're all whores (affectionate). it's perfect for him.
harry - if zhong is his surname (and it's chinese), then i'm choosing my favorite boy name, which is jun hie. ((fun fact, zhong can also be a first name, and it can mean devotion, among other things that don't even slightly mean that, but i'm focusing on devotion)). harry looks like someone who deserves a cute name that has a deep meaning, and jun hie means outstanding.
nicky - what a bland ass name for someone so pretty! i like jamal for him, and i could stand here all day trying to come up with an excuse but truth be told, it's because of jamal sims (the coreographer), leave me alone he's hot ok!
seb - i actually think a cat name is perfect for him lol it's either seb or something stupid like axel or dash, which makes him INCREDIBLY EMBARRASSED ABOUT IT.
miki - i like it but i think something like sakura would be perfect. there's something about her that reminds me of the petals' colors... she's a pretty chill girl, and somewhat delicate, so i like sakura for her.
genevieve - i think it's perfect! it's dainty but has some strength to it. personally i think if i came up with a name for her it wouldn't be as good as genevieve. hate the nickname though, viv is really basic. call her vieve, man, what are you doing??
iona - i would never think of this name because i've never heard it before meeting her, but she gives me the vibe of a girl who has a big name but cool, short nickname, like andressa or andrea but the nick is andi. the choice is andi, you pick the original.
ciaran - this is a trent and you can argue with bill's mayo jar. he might be irish but his stance is the fucking white american who is a nice guy. i don't like his personality, or the lack of, and trent is a brainless guy, just like him.
tai - it's fucking perfect for him actually! when i saw him on the tease i thought of taika, tai or koa (joyful), but personally i think tai or koa are very fitting.
yasmin - whenever i see her i think of the exact color of iris, so that's the name. plus, she gives "hemp-skirt-wearing and having lesbian sex in an orange tent after lolapalooza" tease and that's why iris fits.
rafi - i don't like the name rafi for him, so... husani. it's pretty accurate, since it means 'handsome'. i also like how it sounds and i think it fits with his personality since that's... the only personality he has. "ah, but vena he talks about his brother-" i'm gonna stop you right there, because he does, but um... how many times did we get to see his depth? exactly.
lily (liliana) - she looks like a bruna to me. it is italian but we do have a lot of bruna's here, and honestly? THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME, and they look like that.
~~
SEASON 4
angie - she gives me strong vibes of alexandra, in a way that she hates her name and prefers a gender bent nickname, like alex. i don't like angie for her.
lexi - this absolute excuse of a person is a jessica to me, but the bad type. you know what i'm talking about, the type you have to call her out in the middle of a discussion because once again she's giving "THAT'S MY OPINION!!" tease. i hate this character so much, she's 46% of the reason why i stopped playing the season.
najuma - i love it but i would never think of this name since i've never heard it before. if someone suggested it, i would probably go with it, but if i had to pick one, it would be amani. i think najuma is better though.
thabi - honestly? pretty cool name for her, such a cute and short name, i would probably choose something like that. i'll keep it.
hazeem - not gonna lie i did NOT think he would have a muslim/arabic/urdu name when i saw him for the first time. and because i don't know NEARLY ENOUGH about the culture, i'm keeping it. he does look like a hazeem somehow.
james - it's such a common, bland, accessible name... then again, so is he. meh, james is fine. although he gives me benjamin... lol idk why, don't ask
kobi - this guy is such a... dynamic young man. there's a guy named calvin, from season 3 of the circle, and is the perfect summoning of what i think kobi is like. the type of guy that joins his fingers and gestures it to explain something, particularly to someone who hasn't asked anything. yeah, kobi's name is calvin.
will - ok, it would be EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN before will, especially knowing it's short for willem? LIKE, I FEEL SO BETRAYED- anyway, since he's japanese, and i wouldn't give him an engligh name, it's an opportunity to expand the character's culture a bit, so his name would be shigeru (lush), 'cause let's face it, the boy is pure lush... he has a fucking robe, it's perfect.
bruno - rafael vibes, and that's because here in brazil that usually goes to very annoying boys... (pronounced ha-fah-el). he just strikes me as a guy who doesn't know when to be quiet and well... he's a comedian, so you know that's fucking true.
youcef - if you told me he was french i would say pierre, because to be honest his face gives... absolutely nothing, so probably blanche? or blanc...? i don't know, he's just such a weird choice, all i think of is the "go back to party city where you belong" because of his hair. i'm definitely naming his blanche.
valentina - that's the most gabriela i've ever seen!! like... she's so fucking hot, i barely can think when i see her, and valentina is a beautiful name, just doesn't fit her vibe.
juliet - fuck this girl, i hate her design so much. and you know what, i also hate the name adrianna, so that's what i would name her. she has the vibe of someone who cuts you off to talk about herself and adrianna's love doing that shit.
cora - close but not quite, i would name her nova, because reasons. she just gives me nova vibes, maybe it's her style? maybe it's just how fresh she looks, idk, i just love the name nova for her.
tom - i'm not fucking with you, the first name that came to mind when i saw him was jerry, before knowing what he was called lol istg it's just jerry for me, the oldest most generic name for a guy that wears a goddamn suit on a summer trip.
kelly - i don't like the name kelly, it's really common in some regions here, i'm tired! plus, she breathes, walks and talks like a chloe, i can't imagine another name for her.
tiffany - hate this name, oh my god... if i had to moan tiffany at any given time, i would jump into an elevator shaft first. since they go by all pronouns, why not a gender neutral name? he gives me solid riley energy. i like it because of the girl in inside out and how there's male and female emotions in her head, so... riley.
dylan - he could be named rat for all i care. BUT i'm giving marcel, because that's what marcel's do, understimate women and are slightly misogynistic, and by slightly i mean a fuck ton. FUCK THIS GUY, FUCK HIS FACE, FUCK HIS BODY, FUCK HIS PERSONALITY. FUCK - THIS - CHARACTER.
oliver - at this point i don't even know, because he gives oliver, but he also gives mason, and also jason, basically names for guys that are ripped lol i think i would give him luke. don't ask, it's a luke thing!
