I just finished pre-timeskip and before i get into fishmen arc here are some thoughts

Favorite Strawhat : Sanji, Luffy

Favorite non-Strawhat : nefertari vivi, Bonclay

Other characters I liked : Dr Kureha (girlboss), the baratie workers, portgas d Ace (*sobs uncontrollably*), Hachi the octopus, Vivi's duck karoo, boa hancock, Rayleigh, ivankov HEEHAW,

Favourite friendships : zoro-luffy, zoro-chopper, sanji-ace (sobs uncontrollably), nami-usopp, Luffy-vivi, Luffy-bon chan

Favorite island : Little Garden, Water 7

Favorite Villains :

Captain Kuro and the kuro neko pirates were good and i liked the unique fighting style they had (siam and buchi, then jango was hilarious as hell etc)

Don krieg was the scum of earth but he made the story progress into something more serious and thrilling.

Sawtooth Arlong, the fishmen were all intimidating as hell and the whole arc was filled to the brim with excitement

The Baroque works concept was very cool with all the code names and i felt eager to find out the powers of the duos being revealed slowly. I liked Ms. Goldenweek and Ms doublefinger and would love to see more of them in the future. Finally Crocodile served well as a villain and later as an ally.

Skypiea Eneru (enel?idk) was so formidable and his power was so very unique from all the villains up till that arc, so it was very refreshing to watch. Plus the priests and their fighting style was a good introduction to haki (called as mantra) and its influence in a fight. (Strawhats' fight with satori was fun HOH HO HO).

CP9 were all parts of ruthless and annoying about their government assigned crimes but i like that Chapapa guy the most, he's cute asf and Rob Lucci turning into a tiger gave me a shock lmao. But damn rob lucci as a shipwright was some hot shit

Aokiji gave me blood pressure from how angry he makes me but him letting go off robin in water 7 and all that time ago in ohara, he has left an impression and I'm looking forward to find out more about him

Bartholomew Kuma gave me the HOLY FUCK OH SHIT OH GOD FUCK HE IS HERE AGAIN jolts but then turned out to be a nice person with mysterious lore that im eager to find out so he deserves a place here. Plus his paw paw power is cute

Perona's negative hollow power was hilarious and she's a nice cutie girl who considers zoro a boytoy like me and Luffy so that's a plus

Favourite devil fruit power so far : tori tori no mi : model phoenix (marco) i like the flight and his regeneration power

Best arc : Arlong, Little garden, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark (i love spooky things and tb was hilarious)

Thoughts on the Strawhats :

Luffy : I've grown to love him a lot. His innocence, childlike excitement and badbitchery have rizzed me up, your honor. Also he is a musical genius, minami no shimawa has been SOTY for decades. Plus I really love Luffy's eating moments. He looks so cute and stupid and it melts my heart so much i know a Luffy mukbang show would go SO HARD

Zoro : His backstory felt a bit lukewarm but he later made up for everything. He turned out to be so thoughtful, brave and selfless, especially, zoro's character got new dimension during water 7 saga and ofc thriller bark zoro is one for the history books.

Nami : at first she irked me a bit, but after knowing her backstory, I started loving her. She's strong, resourceful, selfless and smart.

Usopp : his quirks, especially during the G-8 filler arc after skypiea, Usopp's CONDORRRIANO still cracks me up like no other. And him getting all the protective religious gears and garlic necklace when he saw Brook, was hilarious.

Chopper : little baby, soft fuzzy and dumb as fuck but has been so so traumatized. Also Tony Tony chopper has to be the cutest name anyone has ever been given, little baby is always too hard on himself (typical capricorn) and needs to chill.

Franky : I love his dance routines, and his franky family was cool as well. I once even followed one of his routines he does after he landed in the karakuri island (it was a good hip movement after binging one piece for HOURS). Also i miss mozu and kiwi dance icons

Robin : She filled me with rage during water 7, but after her backstory, I understood her more. She's cute and her nihilistic outlook on life is hilarious

Sanji : PERFECTION. He took my heart even before baratie (I saw a person doing leg karate in one of the openings and couldn't wait to meet him). His initial backstory (the starvation and zeff) moved me,and based on that i can see how thoughtful and kind he is. I can't wait to discover more about this wonderful character in depth. His badbitchery with fullbody, His kindness with Gin and don Krieg, the unique way he fights - he had me from the very first appearance. And I can't believe he has more depth to his already beautiful complex character. look at my pretty boy

Brook : i love how polite but chaotic he is and how easily he blends in with the strawhats. And i absolutely love how open minded Luffy was with Brook, and their interactions crack me UP.

General thoughts about op :

- op keeps me on my toes with the constant new islands, the new characters, both allies and villains, being gradually introduced feels very refreshing and thrilling

- Even the Strawhats slowly joined with a fun (sometimes sad) story. The introduction with a fresh face and the development of a new friendship felt good and didn't jumble my brain with too much information at the same time

- I love the dynamics of the strawhats and how wholesome all of them are in their own ways

- The summit war wasn't as exciting as i was expecting, it felt too drawn out and the constant switch between different fight scenes and fighting parties made things feel unfinished. On that note, whitebeard and his pirates were disappointing asf

- Excited to see more of Bartholomew Kuma, shanks, crocodile, mihawk, ivankov, perona, captain kidd, Law

- Bon chan is GOAT and i better be seeing him soon

Live Action One Piece Headcanons

HEY! I'm back! sorry for disappearing for a while but I had started school and working fulltime, it turned out to be a lot. BUT, I'm back and I have some more headcanons. I watched only the live action but I was excited to start writing again, also some of the characters in that series are hot asf. either way, enjoy below the cut

Word count: 450ish

Buggy

growing up he was (ironically) scared of clowns

He has long hair but it stays pinned under his bandana so it doesn't get in his face when he sails.

He cuts his hair one day and it reattaches thanks to his devil fruit abilities (this irritates him, alot)

It’s canon that he chases people with his dick, so I think he spent some time just leaving his dick in weird spots and letting the crew find it. It's like a jumpscare everytime (lets face it, he’s a glorified child, love him to death though <3)

other than his nose, his biggest insecurity is his hands, I will not elaborate

When buggy gets sick, he is suddenly the biggest baby on the planet (again, he’s overdramatic as fuck).

If you are on his ship, be prepared to be teased and messed with, especially if you’re buggy’s “eyecandy”

In very rare moments alone, Buggy will let you wash and style his hair, he’s really come to enjoy this private time with you (his favorite is when you braid it)

Sanji

One time Sanji styled his hair different and the Strawhats lost their shit over it (he never did it again).

As much as Sanji and Zoro argue, he would still lay down his life for him.

On days where Sanji doesn’t feel the best he has meals prepped for the whole crew and will opt to stay in his area (and this worries everyone, even Zoro)

One time he tried dying his hair and he HATED it (according to him, being a brunette is a crime)

He cooks everyone's birthday meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner. It’s a pick one situation).

He gets ignored by Nami when she reunites with Usopp and Luffy, you opt to give one to him just to get a smile out of him (this works)

If you show interest in cooking, he will fall in love pretty much instantly.

Shanks:

After Shanks lost his arm he spiraled hard (of course not in front of Luffy, but in private? Bigtime spiral)

He struggles with phantom pains from losing his arm but puts on a good facade

If you grew up with Shanks, be ready for him to regularly walk by and just pull you into a headlock (behavior he picked up from the rest of his crew)

If you’re on his crew and are dating him then you two will co-captain the ship, surprisingly this works better than expected.

If you grew up with him he tends to look at you like you hung the stars

He will ask for your opinion on lots of things

He is silly by nature and when he gets serious but you can tell something is wrong

sometimes he needs people to check in with him, especially since he uses humor to cope

He didn't even finished his sentence when Luffy landed on him after he jumped from the thousand sunny.

The moment they all wander their eyes on the said island their eyes and mouth went wide after they realized they are in an Hotel Island where all pirates are allowed to get rest and have fun on their lives.

Well the said island have types of inn the japanese ones and the modern type and the thousand sunny stopped in the docks near the japanese inns, plus its the cheaper and have the most stunning architectural design in the island.

It has even have public, private and personal hot baths inside the of the V.I.P rooms.

"AMAZINGG! EVERYONE LETS GO STAY FOR 3 DAYS HERE!"

"WAIT A MINUTE IDIOT WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH BERRIES TO STAY HERE!"

As Law was about to say something they heared familliar voices calling for luffy.

After that all of them went to their shared rooms.

I've made this post where I drew an alternative Luffy with long hair post timeskip.

While I enjoyed doing it I do realise that realistically, Luffy wouldn't not be able to have long hair. Absolutely not. Not because he dislikes the way it looks, no, he doesn't give a shit about that.

But rather because he would just find it very uncomfortable and hard to manage. Like, Sanji actually forces him to sit still for the never ending lenght of 10 minutes every morning to brush it or otherwise Sanji would cry and only then can Luffy have breakfast.

Luffy has to pull it back from his face when he eats and it gets in the way when it fights. It also gets hot on the deck and he can't just throw himself into the ocean. (He does it anyway, usual Luffy stuff)

So at one point Luffy would just grab kitchen scissors and cut it off to its original lenght. This would be met with both Nami and Sanji pulling a BMO from Adventure Time and quite literally grieving over it.

Nami & Sanji, gathering the locks from the floor while crying harder than when their mothers died: LIKE THE DEVIL!!!

Usopp might join in too, but to a lesser extent. Chopper actually liked the long hair too and so did Brook but they got over it. Robin and Franky are just supportive, Jimbei is confused asf by this entire situation and Zoro is evenly split between not daring to queation Luffy's choices and the fact that long haired Luffy was the hottest thing ever.

I agree!! I don't think Luffy would like long hair much. Honestly, I've always thought it's more of his fear of looking like Ace because they already look alike even if they aren't blood-related and long hair would only make it worse for him,,, It's both the fear of looking like his dead brother and also because it's uncomfortable for his fighting style and daily life.

Stepping into the galley you were greeted by the dark creaking of the floorboards under your bare toes. The subtle sound of waves crashing against the hull aided in the roaring waves of hunger inside your stomach. It was late, too late to be eating and you knew you were supposed to be caring to the crow’s nest but your stomach wouldn’t settle.

You hadn’t been able to eat dinner due to running around the latest island stop with your ship’s navigator and doctor on errands that your rubber captain had requested. It had taken the three of you all day to acquire the supplies for the cargo load and you had been the last one to arrive back on deck. It had been an hour after sundown when you had stepped on the ship and much of the crew had already made their way to their quarters in need of sleep. It wasn’t the first time you had to fight your hunger off as you stood post but this time was different. You were starving…

Your eyes scanned over the galley, the full moon that was shining through the porthole casted blue shadows around the clean kitchen table. A rumble caught your ears with the tightening of your guts and you pressed a cold hand to calm it’s cries. God, you needed food now.

There was a small hesitant step towards the fridge and as your eyes landed on the fridge they fell to the small lock resting on the handles of the fridge. An  exasperated sigh left you as your free hand gripped the large padlock. Your teeth sunk into your lip as you fought back a loud curse that was to be directed at your captain’s hunger that had caused the ship’s chef to take precautions against starvation at sea. You felt like crying as your stomach growled louder once more, aiding in the cacophony of noises of the boat.

The small curse you were trying hold back fell from your lips just as your hand did from the lock after a violent shake of the handle that sent a clatter through the darkened room. As you took as step back your head turned into the direction of creaking floorboards behind you just as the galley door swung open. A gust of air made you shiver and jump as your turned around to the presence behind you. A small squeal left you and your hands flew up to your mouth to subdue the sound that left you in fright. Your stomach jumped up into your throat from the sudden fear as you looked at the assailant that has startled you.

“Y/N-chan?” Sanji, the ship’s attractive blond headed cook and your flirty boyfriend stood behind you, his shirt and pajamas pants wrinkled and his usual swept hair looking rather messy. The man had clearly just woken up, catching you red handed in his kitchen. “What are you doing?”

A small blush of embarrassment seeped into your warm cheeks and on stumbling legs you stepped backwards to the fridge. The cold metal stung your warm shoulders as your pressed into the machine. You cleared your throat as you looked at your boyfriend just a few feet away with his hand blocking the only exit out of the kitchen.

“Sorry, Sanji… I—“ A large rumble from your stomach echoed between your two bodies. You grimaced as you watched Sanji’s eyebrows raise in concern as your hand pressed into your stomach.

“Y/N, My love, You’re hungry?” Sanji asked as if you had been shot and you gave a small nod and chuckled as he let out a huff. “Did you not eat when you got back? I had saved you something.” He added as his hand fell from the doorway and he made his way closer towards one of the cupboards in a rush of panic. You shook your head at the dramatics your boyfriend was pulling.

“Goddamnit Luffy, the man is a walking garbage disposal absolutely no class. I’m terribly sorry y/n-chan you know I would never let you go hungry. What would you like to eat?” A sigh left the chef’s lips as he looked to the empty cabinet that had been the place where your saved meal had been and disappeared. When Sanji’s eyes landed on you you took note of the sleep and shook your head.

“Sanji, it’s okay, you’re tired, I was just going to get a snack to hold me over until morning.” You shook your hands and he shook his head and made a scowl as he approached you. It had been the truth you weren’t looking for a five-star meal. It was just to be something to calm your relentless growling stomach.

But as your handsome cook stared at you with his warm, tough hands now gripping your soft fingers in place. You couldn’t hold eye contact with him, afraid that you would give in and have the tired man actually treat you to a full course dinner like he would like to everyday if he could. You shook your head again and blinked softly as a minty gust of air floated across your face as the blond man sighed.

“Y/N, you know I will never let my love go hungry, just tell me what you would like it’s no trouble.” Sanji protested with a soft flirt and gave your fingers another squeeze just as the heat in your face burned deeper on your cheeks. You gave a nod with a soft chuckle as you tried to pull back. Your fingers falling apart to little dismay.

“Sanji, you know I’m not picky.” You told him the truth and he gave a nod with a soft smile.

“Ah, yes another thing I love about you miss y/n.” Sanji laughed as he fluttered his hand to you to usher you to the wooden table in the middle of the moon lit room. “Now just sit down alright, I’ll make you something quick and tasty.”

A hum left you with small nod as Sanji’s fingers danced over your shoulder as he made his way to the fridge, quickly undoing the lock on the fridge. You watched as the chef pulled out multiple ingredients to your dismay. A sigh left you, you hadn’t wanted him to make a mess or a big deal about your hunger.

“Sanji, I said-“ You started just as the handsome man turned around with an arched eyebrow and a chuckle. A knife in his hand but pointed at himself.

“Relax, my love, I’m just making you ramen,” Sanji said softly as he walked over to the sink to fill up a small pot and place it on the open burner that had flicked to life with the turn of a dial. “You do like ramen right, my swan?” He flirted and you nodded.

“Y-yes, Sanji… I like anything you make.” You admitted and smiled as a tired chuckle came out of the man miraculously working away in the dim light of the kitchen. A soft ‘I’m glad’ came from the man as he gave a tired look your way through the moonlight.

The sounds bubbles on the stove, the chopping of green onions and other vegetables, the searing of meat on a pan, and the warm smell of savory broth filled the galley after a few minutes. Your eyes felt heavy and your shoulders slumped into your chest as your rested your chin on your propped hand. Your eyes fluttered with each move Sanji made just feet away from you.

“Would you like me to take over after your eat, Y/N-chan?” Sanji’s voice flirted over towards you from the counter where he was beginning to place your food in a ceramic bowl.

“Hmm?” You asked with a fluttered gaze before you shook your head, “Oh-no it’s alright, I can manage for a couple more hours. Zoro’s supposed to keep watch next.”

“That buffoon can barely stay awake during the day, I’ll take watch I will never leave that man to take care of what’s mine, my love so after you eat just head to bed alright?” Sanji’s voice was closer this time and when you casted a glance up you saw the blond hovering over your shoulder with the steaming bowl and a glass of water. “Not that you need the beauty sleep, you already make my heart race every second.”

A chortle escape you as he placed the bowl in front of you at the poor attempt at flirting. The aroma of the broth, onions, noodles, and various spices and cooked meat making your mouth water and your stomach growl like a tiger. Quickly, your fingers picked up the chopsticks and grabbed a heaping helping of noodles before shoving them in your mouth. A satisfied hum left you as you swallowed down after vigorously munching.

“Is it good, Y/N-chan?” Sanji asked with an amused chuckle as he watched your stuff your cheeks with his food. With your chopsticks still hanging from your mouth and your cheeks filled to the brim you looked at him and gave a nod.

“Dewi-sious.” You muffled through your hand as you chewed. Sanji’s laugh echoed once again as he made his way back to the stove to cleanup the mess he had made in the process. “Thank you, Sanji. I really appreciate it.” You told him as you slowed down your eating as you sipped on the warm broth.

“Of course my love,” Sanji said as he worked his way in the sink, with soap and water. “next time you’re hungry don’t hesitate to ask me, alright? I would happily become sleep deprived for you.”

“I’m sure you would, Sanji.” You mumbled softly to yourself but knew Sanji had heard as he hummed and gave a knowing look your way with another soft smile. “Your hunger is greater than mine.”

With another bite of your tasty ramen and Sanji wiping off his hands on a clean rag he made his way towards you. An eyebrow arched towards him as you slurped up more thick, tender noodles. You gave a soft swallow as you felt a soft, thumb swipe over your bottle lip from the broth still tainting them.

The tinge of your pink cheeks turned darker as you watched Sanji lick the broth off his thumb, causing your chopstick to fall into the bowl. Sanji chuckled as he leaned closer, his tainted hand grabbing you chin softly just as he placed a small peck to your forehead.

“Enjoy your food, my love.” Sanji said as he thumbed over your cheek, his dark eyes staring back at you as he pulled back with a cheeky grin. “I’m taking post. I’ll see you in the morning, goodnight my miss y/n-swan.”

“Goodnight Sanji, thank you.”
