YES!!!! I'll talk about the Exorcists because they're. The best :33

So basically, there are three deities that the people in Velleinmorre worship! The citizens can worship either one of three they wish, or two out of three, but in most cases they are worshipped as a collective of three (also known as 'The Sanctuary').

There is Morarithro, the god of light, stability, and health (referred to as the "Holy Light" by the Exorcists).

Then, Kemyoruus, the goddess of fortune, peace, and intelligence.

Then Jarevogra, the god of justice and order.

When an Exorcist "arrests" (...kills) a vampire, they say:

"In the name of the Sanctuary of Holy Light, Silver Stars, and the Moon of Justice, you are hereby under arrest by the Holy Exorcist Company of Lyrisma." - (I think they'd say "under arrest" to soften the blow a little. Or because they want to sound badass or something. How should I know? I only made this entire organization.)

By the way, Lyrisma is basically Sanguine's equivalent of the Vatican... if the Vatican was just a normal city that happened to have a massive underground vampire-killing organization that had meetings there.

Anyway, the Sanctuary (as aforementioned) refers to the three deities. "Holy Light" is Morarithro, "Silver Stars" is Kemyoruus, and "the Moon of Justice" is, of course, Jarevogra.

Speaking of the Company itself, it's basically a group of knights that are specifically trained to kill vampires. The reason why I called them the Exorcists is because:

The term "exorcist" can be interpreted as what they do. Instead of eliminating spirits or demons, however, the Company is eliminating physical vampires.

It's a cover-up. Considering, you know, nobody in Velleinmorre really believes in vampires and it would make your average Exorcist sound like a liar if they tried to explain the actual details of their occupation to someone, they just say they're... exorcists, instead! It's quite a similar job, anyhow, as I mentioned earlier.

Some Exorcists (albeit higher-ranking ones, because their positions need more protection) actually... do need to practice exorcism in the case of an emergency or undercover situation.

...It just sounds cool.

There are only a few members of the Exorcists that I have proper names and faces for, so I'll put them here.

Lord Helnemarde (26 years old) - The current head of the Exorcists, under order of his late father.

Lazarus Sinbad (31 years old) A highly-ranked knight, who takes Helnemarde's most important orders and passes duties down to lower-ranked knights. He is Dai's childhood friend.

Dai Vartinov (29 years old) Slightly lower in rank than his friend Lazarus, yet still is trusted with important orders from Helnemarde and Lazarus alike. He seems like a trusting member of the Company... yet secretly, he would be eager to betray the Exorcists at the drop of a hat... in search of a hefty enough reward.

I have a few ideas for proper ranks and knight hierarchy, however they're quite muddled and I also like the idea of ranks being more of a silent rule; only based on experience and trust from Lord Helnemarde.

finn’s intro did a good job summarizing some of this stuff but if you want the long-winded version, then you came to the right place <3

wendy and finn are the luckiest mfers on the planet with the parents they got. henry and thea are kind, patient, generous, supportive, and about every other adjective you could think of when you’re trying to describe the world’s most perfect parents. like must be nice 😐 naturally, wendy grows up pretty fearless. she’s not afraid to ask questions, not afraid of laughing too loud — not afraid of being annoying, i mean. you can imagine what happens when she starts school :/

kids are mean! and wendy’s teeth are a little too big for her mouth, and her hair’s a little too big for her head, and she wants the gold star in every lesson every day forever, so she’s an easy target if i’ve ever seen one :/ the bullying is pretty severe, and wendy doesn’t have thick skin the way finn does. it doesn’t slide off of her. for most of her elementary school years, she comes home crying at least once a week. her parents try their best to console her, and even offer to speak to her teachers for her, but wendy knows that it’ll just be more ammunition to be used against her. so she just deals. she can fight her own battles! ( she cried on the grass every day during recess </3 )

middle school is probably the seventh circle of hell, and wendy is no exception. to make things worse, she got braces 😐 all this to say, despite the bullying, and despite how much of it wendy took to heart, she still never really backs down from being herself. she’s still the most eager student in every class, still the first to raise their hand at a question. and you bet your ass people hated her for reminding the teacher about the project presentations everyone was supposed to do. she spent all weekend researching her topic and making models! of course she wants to present! her room can’t have looked like a glitter bomb exploded in there for nothing

and now we get to high school where we really start cooking with gas. it’s a classic summer transformation. wendy hits puberty, her braces come off, she figures out how to manage her curly hair— it’s still curly, it just doesn’t look like a rat’s nest anymore. the teasing stops almost instantaneously. she gets asked on a date for the first time and wendy is so surprised, she says no. after the initial shock though, wendy begins to lean into it. she joins the cheerleading team, and begins to run around with that crowd. it isn’t her only focus though. she’s still her. so she’s in a million extracurriculars on top of juggling her now flourishing social life. her calendar’s a nightmare of sticky notes and color coded events. even her naps are planned. once she said “pencil you in” to finn and he flipped her off

all of it pays off though because she graduates with a near flawless gpa and is accepted into the university of san francisco with a full ride <3 she’s been in sf ever since because a year after graduating, she was offered her dream job with her dream company yay <3

( cancer tw ) wendy comes back to red creek frequently enough, usually at least the holidays and then she tends to try and make a few trips throughout the year but only for a week at a time. with her mom sick though, wendy’s taken a leave of absence at her job to be with her family and her beloved apartment is currently being subleased. so that’s why she’s back womp womp

terrible timing too because even though finn is happy to use the murders as a distraction, wendy is absolutely not like that. she LIKES her boring small town where nothing happens. she wants nothing to happen everywhere forever!!!!

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬.

wendy’s full of a lot of life. she’s charming and bright and eager; one could argue that as a first impression, it can be a bit much. despite how extroverted she is though, she’s not too quick to trust people. she rarely trusts her first impression, having been all too familiar with a kind gesture or a smile being used as bait for something more sinister. she’ll trust her second though, and wendy doesn’t do anything without putting her whole heart into it. still, she’s the type who puts her career first— who lets everything fall to second position in her pursuit for success. she’s not really a #girlboss by any means, it’s just her favorite type of validation.

i think wendy tries as hard as she can to be kind to people and most of the time she does succeed! my sweet girl <3 she does have a bit of a superiority complex though and can think of herself as better than others and sometimes it rly shows :/ but for the most part wendy is never really mean spirited, she can just come off a bit arrogant sometimes. which, can you blame her. she tries harder than anyone else and literally always busts her ass

LoZ - Why The Gerudo Are Unfair

I really don't think that a lot of fans really get just how not okay the Gerudo's practices are.

For one, every Gerudo is treated wholy & completely as a Gerudo & nothing else. Now, while it may make sense based on appearances, it doesn’t when you really think about it. Especially when you take into account the well-known lore about the Gerudo.

Because the Gerudo aren’t reproducing asexually & they only get 1 male a century. Which means that 99% of Gerudo are likely all more than half Hyrulean.

Not even half, more than half, because it isn’t just a Gerudo herself who had a non-Gerudo father, but possibly every Gerudo who came before her going on for most likely myriennia, were non-Gerudo.

Yet, they only focus on the Gerudo part of their heritage. As though their fathers don’t exist. As though their grandfathers, great grandfathers, & great great grandfathers, don’t exist! As though the women they’re related to through their male family members, don’t exist!!

As separatist as they may wish to be, they do so at the expense of others & themselves.

Let me put this into perspective for ya'll. A DNA test can trace your ancestors back 6-10 generations. Which, I know, no DNA tests in Hyrule, but just because they don't have DNA tests, doesn't mean that deductive reasoning stops existing.

Doesn't matter who the rest of their lineage consists of. All that matters is their mother. And not even the non-Gerudo mothers on the Gerudo side.

Again, not even a full percentage & that is their entire existence as people.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there's a general consensus among human Hyrulean males that, if a Gerudo starts flirting with him, but they can't tell him their father's name or where he was from, or even her mother's father, it's likely not worth getting into a relationship with her to begin with because it's likely that her answers will reflect the relationship that he'll end up having with any daughter that may come from it.

And unless he's okay with that, he's better off saving them both the trouble.

Though, now that I think of it, wouldn't that be both hilarious & horribly sad if these sorts of questions became considered racist?

Like, I was reading a cool idea for a comic &, in it, the term "redhead" was considered racist against Gerudo & I damn near wanted to punch someone.

I would be legitimately ashamed of myself. Like, yes, I'm insulted, but not by the "slur." I'm insulted by that lackluster attempt at one!

Because the me right now would be extremely tempted to mock the heck outta them. I may legitimately laugh at them before I could stop myself.

Like, personally, don't know about you, but personally? If I was gonna give this racist asshole of a creatively bankrupt jerk the time of day & that time was spent doing anything other than mocking him, even only in my own head, I'd be disappointed in myself.

It's like... have some dang dignity. If I'm gonna get offended by something. The least I can do is only bequeath the gift of my offense upon someone who raised more than a falange in the general direction of the finish line.

Ce groupe d'entreprises était initialement spécialisé dans la fabrication de véhicules sous la marque Daehan. Aujourd'hui, Daehan Motors est réputé comme l'un des plus grands constructeurs automobiles mondiaux, et touche également à l'aérospatial mais aussi aux transports publics et à l'ingénierie. Devenu le groupe le plus riche du pays, sa famille est l'une des plus puissante au monde.

Famille traditionnelle et patriarcale de chaebols coréens, les Seol résident dans une villa ancestrale du quartier de Yeonhwa où les enfants sont élevés strictement, portant l'héritage d'une grande famille d'entrepreneurs sur leurs épaules. Dans cette famille, les hommes sont largement favorisés pour obtenir les meilleures places de Daehan Motors, les dirigeants de l'entreprise étant choisis de père en fils. A l'inverse, les filles sont élevées de manière à devenir les parfaites épouses au foyer d'un homme riche. Si son épouse est une femme douce et aimante, Seol Minkyu est un homme particulièrement sanguin, stricte, et exigeant, en particulier avec ses enfants. Certains d'entre eux ont docilement suivi la voie qui leur était toute tracée dans l'espoir d'obtenir, peut-être, l'amour d'un père antipathique. Ryu Hyesoo, dirigeante actuelle de Mido Group, est une ancienne mannequin dont le visage a grandement participé à l'explosion de la marque de luxe Seora. Mère de deux jeunes femmes dont elle a fait de véritables princesses, poupées de porcelaines, toujours apprêtées et mises en beauté, elle est une femme de caractère, dirigeante ambitieuse et très acharnée. C'est elle qui a insisté pour que ses filles prennent son nom, plutôt que celui de leur père, afin de perpétrer l'héritage laissé par Ryu Jaehoon. Les filles de la famille Ryu, bien qu'ayant reçu une éducation stricte, ont eu la chance de ne jamais manquer de rien, y compris de l'amour d'une mère qui, bien qu'exigeante, a toujours cédé à leurs moindres caprices. On dit de ces filles qu'elles sont de vraies divas, extrêmement hautaines, et que personne ne peut résister à leur incroyable beauté. Cette façade parfaite cacherait-elle un hideux secret ?

Cheonghwa Corporation est notamment à l'origine de la construction du plus grand stade de Corée du Sud qui accueille de grands événements sportifs et concerts, ainsi que de la Dojang Nexus Toxer, un centre de loisir révolutionnaire, devenu l'une des plus belles attractions touristiques de la capitale.

Cheon Taejin espère bientôt prendre sa retraite et compte sur son fils aîné pour prendre la relève. En tant que seul garçon et plus âgé de sa fratrie, Cheon Prénom au choix est au cœur des attentes de ses parents afin de reprendre l'entreprise familiale. Pourtant, le jeune homme au caractère bien trempé préfère profiter de sa jeunesse et ne s'établir sous aucun prétexte. Etant le fils préféré de ses géniteurs qui cèdent à tous ses caprices et le chouchoutent comme s'il n'était encore qu'un enfant, il ne cesse de s'enliser dans des situations compliquées et des scandales qui attisent les gros titres de la presse. Suite au décès de Hyeon Jiho en fin d'année 2023, Hyeon Prénom au choix a hérité de l'entreprise de son grand-père en lieu et place de son propre père, disparu 17 ans plus tôt. Soudainement propulsé à la tête d'une des entreprises les plus puissantes du monde alors qu'il n'était âgé que de 28 ans, le jeune homme a du faire des concessions et abandonner sa vie d'avant, ses amis, ses rêves et ses passions, afin de faire tenir le cap à Hyeonmi Technologies face à la concurrence, et de permettre à sa mère et ses frères et sœurs de continuer à profiter de tout le luxe et le confort que l'entreprise familiale leur permet. Heureusement pour lui, son grand-père, particulièrement dur et autoritaire, lui a enseigné tout ce qu'il avait besoin de savoir avant de lâcher son dernier souffle. Si aujourd'hui, beaucoup de personnes se plaignent du changement de personnalité soudain de Hyeon Prénom au choix, personne ne peut imaginer la difficulté de sa situation et la lourdeur de son fardeau.

Did Alexander Hamilton really endorse Jefferson over Burr as portrayed in the Hamilton musical?

Yes, Hamilton absolutely did endorse Thomas Jefferson over Aaron Burr for the Presidency in 1800 -- and pretty much in language as direct as we hear in the play. In a December 24, 1800 letter to Gouverneur Morris, Hamilton wrote:

"Jefferson or Burr? -- the former without all doubt. The latter in my judgment has no principle public or private -- could be bound by no agreement -- will listen to no monitor but his ambition; & for this purpose will use the worst part of the community as a ladder to climb to perman[en]t power & an instrument to crush the better part. He is bankrupt beyond redemption except by the resources that grow out of war and disorder or by a sale to a foreign power or by great peculation. War with Great Brita[i]n would be the immediate instrument. He is sanguine enough to hope every thing -- daring enough to attempt every thing -- wicked enough to scruple nothing. From the elevation of such a man heaven preserve the Country!"

Ever the shit-stirrer, Hamilton helpfully closed his letter to Morris by adding, "Make any discreet use you think fit of this letter."

And, just in case that letter got lost in the mail or Gouverneur Morris didn't get the point, Hamilton wrote another letter to Morris two days later (December 26, 1800), emphasizing that:

"...as the least of the two evils...Jefferson ought to be preferred to Burr.

I trust the Federalists will not finally be so mad as to vote for the latter [Burr]. I speak with an intimate & accurate knowledge of character. His elevation can only promote the purposes of the desperate and proflicate. If there be (a man) in the world I ought to hate it is Jefferson. With Burr I have always been personally well. But the public good must be paramount to every private consideration. My opinion may be freely used with such reserves as you shall think discreet"

So, yeah, that definitely happened and you can see why Burr might have felt disrespected.

hmmmm, i honestly don't know. maybe Extrême or a compelling argument since i reread them a lot (idk what to tell u, i like blow jobs). i don't reread my old ones as much anymore, but more than I could ever promise holds a very dear place in my heart. honestly, i think the weight in her heart will be my new favorite once i finish it, since it's both so fluffy and angsty 🤌 sometimes it gives me a hard time, but it's REALLY fun to write!

Eventually, her mother tried to set her up with a high-ranking Thalmor Justicar, and Wynn realised that her previously enjoyed freedom was in jeopardy. In secret, she had a ship built and hired a crew, then took to the seas to become a pirate--and to live the free life she so desired. After many years sailing the ocean, Wynn was caught and jailed in Windhelm. Her first mate rescued her, only to inform her that her ship had been destroyed and her crew had disbanded. Disheartened by this news, Wynn went to Riften in search of refuge. After Wynn worked in Haelga's Bunkhouse for some months, her underhanded thieving had grabbed the attention of Brynjolf after Haelga complained. Now Wynn happily steals on behalf of the Thieves Guild--and gets paid for it, too.

Camila was born to a maid who couldn’t take care of her. With the financial state the woman was in, she wound up giving the baby up for adoption. Whose hands did Camila wind up in? Oh, just an oil tycoon and his wife who couldn’t have a baby of their own. Being raised with a silver spoon in her mouth made her life more difficult. Someone always wanted something from her, and soon Mila realized that people will only ever see her as a dollar sign. She burned bridges at any point someone showed their true intentions with her, and she justified it by believing it was to protect herself from more hurt than she was already enduring behind the scenes. Being adopted made her a target in her cousins’ eyes; Always ganging up on her at family functions and claiming she wasn’t really a Singh. She was alienated - cast aside by her so-called aunts and uncles. Maybe that’s why it didn’t hurt to be going to so many funerals, growing up. It was on her father’s side of the family - the side she was never to come into contact with due to the drug and alcohol abuse that ran rampant in those genes. She became cold during her middle school years, though it wasn’t like she really had anyone to be cold to, seeing that she was homeschooled. It was when she had to attend high societal events, that she was seen as a sort of ice queen. She was withdrawn, and that came across as snobbish. In actuality, she didn’t care. Mostly because that meant she didn’t have to hear what people wanted from her. For someone who was homeschooled, she excelled in the SATs and ACTs. She turned down Harvard to go to Princeton for their Art & Design program. To Mila, the creative freedom of fashion design was enough to heal her inner child. She could be whoever she wanted, make a name for herself and inspire other children who found a sanctum doing what they loved. With her BA in Art & Design, Mila was able to become a fashion intern at one of her favorite fashion magazines. Mila is strong in many ways than one. She works out, sure, but she can endure the emotional pain the size of an elephant in her chest.
