Caregiver Guardians Headcanons (Rise of the Guardians)

Jack Frost

He loves ANY kind of game; board games, chase games, sports games, nonsense games - whatever it is, he’s happy to play it with you.

He’ll take you flying with him, but be ready for midair tricks and teasing.

On that note: pranks. Jack plays constant pranks - on you, on the other Guardians, on strangers, he just loves teasing people. He often recruits you to help play tricks.

You will NEVER be overheated again. Anytime Jack thinks you’re getting overly warm, he’ll create frost under your feet or send ice creeping up the walls.

He’s not always good at toning down his energy levels, but if you need a quiet day he’ll do his best to oblige.

North

The workshop is ALWAYS open to you. You can play with the elves, bother the Yeti, and “test�� all of the toys. It can get a little overwhelming sometimes (the workshop is a very loud, busy place, after all), so you’re also welcome to retreat to North’s office if you need a break.

In his free time he enjoys carving toys and figurines out of ice, and he then imbues them with magic so they can do impossible things. Nearly every time you visit, he’ll make you something as a gift.

North will use the snowglobes to take you all over the world. Not just to other cities or countries, but to magical places no human has ever been able to see.

He is very dramatic, and loves playing pretend with you. He tends to get VERY invested in his role, to the point where his work has to be put on hold. “I can’t check naughty list now, can’t you see I am sailing this boat?”

North gives the best pep talks. He never wants you to feel like you’re anything less than amazing, and he’s wonderful at calming any fears you might have.

Bunny

The week before Easter, the Warren is insanely busy; but the rest of the time, it’s a very quiet, peaceful place. Bunny’s happy to bring you down there whenever you ask, to play or have a picnic or just enjoy the scenery.

Whenever you’re feeling down he’ll paint a few eggs for you, with your favorite colors and shapes and patterns. Then he’ll hide them where he knows you’ll find them.

He has a dozen nicknames for you, all of them affectionately teasing - ankle-biter, rugrat, nipper, etc.

He HATES cold weather… but if you really want to go out in the cold, he’ll always join you.

Any time you get tired of walking, he’ll set you on his back and run. He’s very fast, and it might be a little frightening at first, but he would never let you fall.

Tooth

Obviously she insists that you brush and floss daily, but she finds ways to make it a fun activity.

She’ll happily hold you on her hip while she’s hovering or flying near the ground. (She doesn’t like to take you too high in case you get scared.)

Out of all the Guardians, she’s the best at handling scraped knees or bumps on the head… but her bedside manner takes a little getting used to. “Oh, I know it hurts sweetie, but look! This bruise is such a pretty shade of purple!”

Tooth loves sitting with you while you’re asleep. If it weren’t for all the work she needs to do, she’d stay with you all night - she loves seeing you so peaceful and content.

Thanks to her abilities as a Guardian, she’s able to help you remember the most important moments in your life. These memories aren’t inherently good, but they are the moments that helped shape the best parts of your character. She’s happy to share them with you whenever you need them, and she’s already ready to comfort you if some of the memories cause negative feelings.

Sandy

He can help ANYONE fall asleep. Clinical insomnia, stressful day, too much caffeine - Sandy can knock you out in a moment if you want him to, with guaranteed good dreams to follow.

But, if you like staying up late, that’s fine too! Sandy is happy to take you along while he makes his rounds, showing you the night sky in different parts of the world.

He creates various animals or objects to send into people’s dreams. He’s also willing to make little toys or creatures for you to play with.

Sandy is a great listener. If you need to talk about your troubles, your bad day, your personal worries, he’s always there. Afterwards, he’ll offer to weave you a dream where things are different. Or, if you just want to get it off your chest and then move on, that’s fine too.

On a slightly related note, he’s fantastic with quiet kiddos. While the other Guardians might try to fill up silent moments with chatting, he doesn’t care if you never say a word. Your company is alway enough.

🍼 Spooky Regressor Pest (Little age: 2-4)

🪲 — He's a secret little, Pest is discreet with his agere, he doesn't want anyone to find out.

🧷 — Pest enjoys carrying something in his mouth, whether it's his paci or his teether, but he usually carries his paci.

🪲 — Apples! Apples and apples! He loves apple juice, caramel apples, applesauce, but especially homemade apple pie. It's obviously his comfort food!

🧷 — Pest has a comfort with Sam (character from the movie Trick 'r Treat); he has a plushie of this, which he sometimes carries with him.

🪲 — Another comfort plushie is Mr. Paws! His centipede that he always carries with him at bedtime!

🪲 — Pest turned his bed into a pillow fort, to simulate an underground burrow.

🪲 — Pest throws tantrums if he doesn't sleep well or the apples have a sandy texture. Sometimes he hits when he feels upset with something.

🧷 — The beetle usually repeats the phrases of his favorite characters a lot.

🪲 — Enjoy fruit snacks a lot! Also natural juice, so there will be no problem giving healthy snacks.

🧷 — Pest if he was in Little Space along with Infected and Poob, he would scare them with ghost stories.

🪲 — He likes to bake, he always serves his meals in a way that entertains him and whets his appetite.

🧷 — "How long until Halloween? Can I put on my costume now? Can I be a vampire now?"

🪲 — Pest likes to collect things and count them and sort them by size and color.

•most would see spongebob as a regressor, and i agree with that! however, i think he’s a flip.

•i think he would enjoy taking care of other regressors, and being able to witness someone’s joyous moments and comfort them when they’re sad.

•as for regression, i think he regresses to maybe 3-6 years old, depending on how far he slips or how deep in the headspace he’s in. he loves playing games like tag and hide and seek and he’ll always have some sort of comfort item on him!

patrick

•i think patrick would be a regressor! his age range would be quite young, from 1-3. he finds comfort in his childhood, where things were new and exciting!

•spongebob would definitely look after him when he was regressed, and they would also play together when regressed at the same time!!

•patrick would be very fond of blowing bubbles, taking naps and playing pretend!

squidward

•i honestly see squidward as a flip, as well! he would lean a little more to the caregiver side, but he regresses on the occasion.

•with his personality, he wasn’t very good with caretaking, initially. he sort of just let his instincts take over whenever he ran into someone who was regressed. his voice softens and his phrasing is gentler whenever he’s speaking to a little.

•squidward regresses to about a kid age, 4-6. he’s pretty good at staying independent! he likes to listen to kid’s music when he’s regressed, and he’s fond of picture books!

mr. krabs

•he’s definitely a caregiver, through and through! he’s rather good at looking after people and fairly enjoys it.

•i think he would look after his employee’s. he would walk/drive them home if they ever ended a shift regressed, and make sure they weren’t stressed on the job!

•mr. krabs would be a firm yet kind caregiver. he means what he says and he only wants to be listened to so he can keep the regressor safe. however, he can have his sweet moments, too!

plankton

•plankton is an age regressor! i think his age range would be from 3-5.

•i imagine he’d be a bit embarrassed about it at first, but karen was quick to assure him that there was nothing wrong with it. to this day, she’s the only one who knows.

•he would be a rowdy regressor! always down to play, constantly running around, and don’t let him near too much candy...

•on the topic of karen, she would be a caregiver! she’s very fond of the idea of taking care of little ones, keeping them safe and having fun with them.

•she’s a very sweet caregiver! she wouldn’t be able to say no unless it was for the regressor’s own good. definitely has a soft spot.

•whoever she looked after would be getting a lot of hugs and cuddles! she’s one for physical affection, that’s for sure.

•sandy would be a flip! i think she would be a really good caregiver, and also find comfort in regressing.

•she’s a very loving caregiver, speaking softly and praising the little she was looking after. she’d be there for you when you were happy or when you were sad.

she has a nightlight that makes it look like she's in space, and she loves turning the lights off so she can stare at it

she LOVES getting her hair braided

^she also just loves decorating with all kinds of stuff, she has blue and green bows that remind her of june that she always wears!!!

her ideal day is just playing squiddles with whoever is with her

she has a bunch of those capsules that turn into those foam animals/dinosaurs and she loves watching them

she has a wide collection of pacifiers, but her favorite is a black and white checkered one that looks like skaia

she has a stuffed animal bec plushie that she carries around everywhere, if she forgets him, she imeaditly runs back to the room she left him

sometimes when she's regressing she forgets she has a tail and ears and whenever she remembers them she gets excited

Hello I’m Regulus or Reg. I use they/them and hy/hym pronouns.

I’ve been a practicing pagan since 2018ish. I began working with Hermes in late 2021 when I was traveling both by myself for the first time, and for the first time since COVID lockdown. I was insanely nervous and began to pray to Hermes before, during, and after my trip. As I began to do more research about Hermes I began to slowly realize that he has been present in my life for most of it, and I started to officially work with Hermes in early 2022. As of right now (June 2023) he is currently my primary deity and the only one I’m working with, however in the past I have worked with other deities including Loki, Apollo, and Aphrodite, and I will probably work with other deities in the future as I continue to grow and explore my path.

Fun facts about me: Audhd babie! My current hyperfixations/special interests include Critical Role Campaign 2, autism (lol), Hozier, and Languages/linguistics. I also have POTS and a handful of mental illnesses/disorders that I’m untangling. I write my own music and Poetry (which you may or may not see on here if I write anything related to Hermes/witchcraft). :D

i've been worshipping hermes since january 2022, which kickstarted my ACTIVE hellenic polytheist practice, although arguably i've been practicing since 2016. like reg, i started praying to him when my family was stuck at a hotel and unable to get home for the foreseeable future, and when i finally got home and set up what was supposed to be a temporary altar, he didn't want me to take it down! i have since realised he's my patron (with a mix of the neopagan and ancient greek definition of that word) as i'm a cross-culture kid in ib, a writer, a huge language fan, currently working to become a guardian of the dead, and much more.

i also have been practicing witchcraft since early 2020 and am an omnist with agnostic tendencies (but "hellenic polytheist" works just fine too) as well as an animist with a very eclectic folk-based practice
