The first part is not something that would offend me personally, like if someone is online and im talking to them, i don't expect them to sit around and wait for a response, especially when it's something you're posting. So it makes sense that they scrolled on tumblr a bit and found something funny. That was 100% nitpicking.

My point was that they answered to the best of their ability. And what they said was "I'm not educated enough to speak on this." (basic reading between the lines challenge)

What they said was "I don't know specifically what was wrong with the pixel animations, so I'm not going to speak on it, so I will say that there's not going to be any of that specific thing for the people who are sensitive to that." Since they didn't know what specifically was troubling with the pixel animations and didn't make an assumption or something, they just said that there won't be anytime soon so the people who are, won't be scared to watch it. It's a pretty normal response tbh. And that whole "imagone if it was a common trigger thing" only made it sound more normal tbh. And comparing a knife trigger to flashing lights is insane and if anything more ableist than what Joan did. One is life threatening and the other is not. Bffr.

Which is basically the reason why there was no proper apology or explanation bc (This can't be reiterated enough) THEY WERE NOT QUALIFIED TO SPEAK ON IT. THEY WERENT GONNA SPEAK ON SOMETHING THAT THEY DIDNT KNOW ABOUT!!!!

And the whole thing with "this is what joan SHOULD HAVE SAID" is literally the same thing they said. The only thing you added was "ill do research" and "well properly tag it". Like yeah adding those 2 things would've been beneficial but speculating on whether or not Joan is ableist bc they didnt add 2 sentences is so chronically online.

As for Joan being apart of the channel as much as Thomas was, is somewhat true but I'm gonna disagree with you on this because they were not running the channel, Thomas was. Idk i dont really care about this part. The most they could've done was talk to Thomas, which is why this should've been brought up with Thomas. But I understand why going to Joan is better bc Thomas ignores any critisim he gets anyways and it would definitely not be addressed.

i don't have direct proof of it anymore (since they deleted their blog and i didn't save screenshots, but I can ask my friends if they still have them), but when people brought up the very real and important issue about there being flashing and other photo sensitive things in SvS Part 2 and no warning (which is, yknow, a health problem, bc epilepsy and other photosensitive things exist, like migraines), they posted something very dismissive in reply and Immediately reblogged something about "let patton say fuck" to distract everyone. and it was like. instant.
